As a U.S. Navy diver, physician, and military officer who has dived all over the world, I was thoroughly impressed with this dive shop in the civilian setting. I highly recommend this shop if you are in the Memphis area.I ordered some bigger equipment (two steel 120s) through The Dive Shop, and Deborah was diligent in finding the product and getting the shipment to Memphis in the small window of time I had available to pick it up. When I came to the shop in person, Lisa was professional and discussed the Pro valve set up that came with the package, which is critical for me as I often dive with a DIN rather than a yoke.What happened next is what really impressed me. There was some miscommunication regarding the pricing, i.e. when shipment cost was charged and what was originally included in my quoted price. The owner Randy was made aware of the discrepancy and reimbursed me to the price I was originally quoted and then honestly more than what he had to. This proves that The Dive Shop has integrity and is committed to customer service.I do hope I can repay these folks somehow and give them more business in the future. In the meantime, Im thoroughly enjoying my new equipment at my current duty station due in large part to The Dive Shops hard work.

We went in this store just to check it out because Im new to diving. Deborah met us at the door, welcoming us to her store. She was so nice getting to know us.She showed us the whole store, even the pool!She is clearly passionate about diving, and proud of her store and profession. The store is extremely well stocked with anything you should need as a diver. Other staff were eager to answer questions we had too. Great store, great experience!

We have done business with the Dive Shop for years, The Staff is awesome and very knowledgeable. Always willing to give information and help. Classes are well designed and made to learn and SAFETY is paramount. Love this place and Highly recommend for Scuba training. If you are not sure if you like to SCUBA do the TRY SCUBA. See if its for you!!!!!!!

I have wanted to taking lessons for years but had never found the time. I am so glad my wife gave me lessons for my birthday. I just finished the class and had such an awesome time. John Fisher was our main instructor and Joe was assistant instructor. They were awesome. They made it fun and helped us learn what we needed to to be safe and enjoy diving. Looking forward to my certification dives and new adventures underwater. The entire team at the Dive Shop is great! They are very knowledgeable and always very helpful.

Love these guys! They were great when I bought all of my first time gear, and Lisa even let me try on her personal BCD when I was trying out all of the gear in their pool. They are a knowledgeable and kind group of people. Hope I can do a trip with them soon!

15 years after they initially certified me, the awesome folks at The Dive Shop processed my certification updates long-distance and with no discernible financial benefit to their organization. Whats more? I needed it done in under a week. Lisa was on it! She directed me to a local shop and worked with them personally to make sure I had the skills I needed to update my credentials. I remember other Dive Shop folks being kind and unassuming, but Lisa is a rock star -- super friendly, amazing customer service, great ambassador to the sport of diving!

Overall this is an awesome place. Very friendly and always willing to help. Only reason I gave this place 3 stars instead of 5 is because of one person in particular, Mr. Reid. He was a complete **** with a negative attitude which changed mine and my family’s desire to dive with this establishment.

Excellent service. Full experience. Events for the community to keep you engaged. I just really like this place.

I am a graduate student who was looking to learn how to scuba dive so that when I go to visit my sister in Japan this summer I can dive with her. I e-mailed the dive shop and Lisa quickly sent me information on their classes. When I went to the dive shop to sign up Lisa was great! I told her I wanted to take this class as cheaply as possible and she was very helpful. I know I could have bought my gear online but I was worried that if i used it and something broke I wouldnt be able to get my money back. At the dive shop if your snorkel breaks or your dog decides he wants to chew on it, you can bring it back to them and they will give you a new one! I was happy with my gear (though I would recommend not getting the fins in the first package, instead get the nicer fins). I had started out saying I would not buy a wetsuit, the instructors suggested getting one, but I thought I would buy one online instead. I should have just saved my money. Just like the instructors said it did not fit. I had to send it back and bought one through the Dive Shop. Lisa is great at helping you find the proper size and gear. The classes were very informative and I am very comfortable with all the skills I have learned. I really feel like the employees at the dive shop are one big family and they are very welcoming and encouraging! I highly suggest the dive shop for both gear and scuba classes!

Every time ive gone in this place ive had a really horrible experience. They are extremely rude and arrogant and try to communicate that they know everything. They talk down to you like you dont know anything. Im an experienced diver. I dont know everything. I like having a dive shop that can help me out with my questions. The answers and things these guys say are flat out false half the time. On my last visit, i was trying to rent a tank and use it in their onsite pool. Upon arrival they told me that i would have to have the service records of all my equipment before being allowed in their pool. In my entire diving experience ive never heard of a shop doing this. My friends other dive shop owner (who confirmed my friends equipment servicing for them over the phone) said he had never in his 30 years heard of such a thing. They claimed it was a liability issue yet didnt even have us sign a waiver to use the pool. It was all very odd and they were extremely rude about it. They quickly got heated when i ask questions about it. My gear is under a year new but that didnt matter. You must have proof of servicing to be able to use their pool. I really think it was a racket to get money for servicing equipment, get me to pay for rental gear, or just establish some sort of sick dominance over the customer. It wouldnt have been so bad if they would have at least been respectful and kind. Its sad because there really arent many dive shop options in memphis. This one is a very nice facility. But what makes a good dive shop is its people. I can say for certain that i couldnt recommend this place to anybody.
