Fox and Cat is hands down my favorite vintage clothing store in Memphis. I never leave without 1 or 2 new treasures to add to my wardrobe. The prices are also very reasonable for classic, timeless, high quality vintage wear. The owner Katie is the absolute sweetest. I highly recommend stopping by!
This is my favorite vintage store in the country. Truly. And if you know me, you know I go to a LOT of vintage stores. Katie the owner is an excellent stylist, and so well-informed. She knows exactly what looks good together, and she knows about all the eras. I have learned so much about accessorizing from her! Even though I don’t even live in Memphis I continue to shop the store online. If you’re in Memphis definitely check out the shop!
Love this vintage shop! The pieces are so unique, and the owner, Cat, is so helpful in providing all the details necessary to purchase. Ive sent her multiple messages asking about certain items and she is quick to respond (even now having a newborn!) Items are truly one-of-a-kind and Im more than thrilled to add them to my closet. For the times that I shop her instagram, shipping is quick and efficient and items arrive safely. I do not live in Memphis, but always make sure to stop in whenever I am in the area. One of my favorite vintage shops!
Owner of the store is extremely stuck up and rude. I walked in with a friend of mine and she did not greet us at all. Another woman walked in and she greeted her promptly and informed her of sales, new items etc . I made direct eye contact with whatever her name is. And she just stared blankly and continued to cater to all other guests of the store. Terrible customer service. Will not be recommending to anyone- or going back. I was actually planning on buying at least two of the dresses here. But I decided not too support this business because of the catty environment that was displayed.
Katie, the owner of Fox and Cat Vintage has an amazing eye for vintage. Even if you live 15 hours away, like me, she will take photos and measurements for you. I was able to find amazing pieces by watching her videos that she puts out weekly on Instagram. Her clothing videos are a must!!!

Beautifully curated vintage clothes in a spacious store. Pricey, but the pieces are unique - and there is a 20 buck sales rack! Try your luck.

Katie is amazing! We were shopping online for an authentic vintage dress to be used as a dance costume. Katie was relentless in her efforts to find the perfect piece. My daughter and I always love our visits to Fox+Cat. They are never planned but we both enjoy our adventure every time. I use adventure intentionally because that’s the way it feels. Katie is passionate about her work and is just so darn talented at recognizing patterns and pieces that will work and recommending them to us. I have gone in to buy a dress and ended up with a suit and gone in for nothing and left with nifty “new” accessories - you just never know what you will find that calls to you. Enjoy!
I am an avid vintage shopper for 40 years now, and I have to honestly say that this place is my consistent favorite. I live and Brooklyn and I like it better than any shop in BK...the selection, fair prices, and service place it above and beyond. Their taste is superior to shops from Japan to Helsinki in my opinion. I never leave without something wonderful! Every visit to Memphis involves a stop here!

I just went there for the first time today. I was looking for thrift stores and second hand shops when I stumbled upon this place on Google.They have so many amazing items. Yes, there are some high priced vintage clothing in there but they do have some quality items that arent expensive at all.Also, the new young lady working there from NC. YOURE THE BEST! I cant wait to come back and shop around soon some more.
Katie’s vintage collection was stellar! From gowns to jewelry, purses to shoes, belts and everything in between! Not to mention the magical and whimsical customer service she gave! She truly treated me like a friend without even knowing me, on a day I needed it. I’ll be driving 3 hours to Memphis; JUST to see Katie and the Foxandcat collection! A must!

At the end of April 2020 I messaged Fox+Cat Vintage via IG about the sweetest 70s bubblegum pink jumper. We were about 45 days into the social distance quarantine, and I was feeling cooped up and ready for a change. I asked Katie to pull together a mystery bag of accessories just to inject some excitement into my life. I gave her a few words about my style, and just trusted that she would pull something wonderful. When I went to pick up the jumper and the jewelry, I was thrilled-- but not surprised--to love every single piece. Katie has AMAZING taste, so I never worried once about the items. It was so much fun to feel styled during the quarantine, and Im glad that Katie indulged me with my silly request.My overall experience pre-pandemic is similar. Everyone who works there is so nice, the fashion is incredible, and they are always willing to go the extra step to make the customer feel straight out of a high end magazine. WOW! I was blown away by the choices of gowns - the colors, the fabric and the styles. This was the perfect place to acquire severalone of a kind pieces! I bought three evening gowns, a beautiful pair of onyx jaguar earrings and a brass and gem belt I used as a necklace. Katie knows her stuff about altering too and guided me to just what I needed. I couldn’t have been happier with the overall experience! I will use this place again! Thank you, Katie!
This store is awesome sauce and the ladies here focus on making sure every customer that walks through those doors are walking into a very welcome environment and a space where their satisfaction is a priority. The pieces here are wonderful, stylish, and clean and well kept and it is a joyous experience that everyone should aim to have at least once at the best vintage store in Memphis. I had a great experience with Natalie and Katie last week. They picked out amazing pieces for me and paired them with accessories that make me feel uniquely beautiful. Shopping at Fox+Cat was honestly the best customer service Ive ever experienced. When I talked with store owner Katie about a dress I liked being SLIGHTLY too tight on the waist, Katie offered to alter it free of charge and dropped the dress off for me on a day that the store wasnt typically open. Also a huge highlight was Katies dog, Sally, who was absolutely perfect. Fox+Cat is an impeccably curated store, with affordable prices and beautiful pieces and it was an absolute pleasure to shop there. Its comforting to know that there are good people out there and Katie is definitely one of them :-)
Going into Fox+Cat is an experience; from always being greeted by a knowledgeable and friendly staff member (or the owners sweet dog!) to the carefully curated and hand-selected vintage items, no two visits will be the same. There are so many gems at this place. I struck gold finding an adorable 80s jumpsuit and a gorgeous red 90s bandage dress I love. The pieces are in great condition and so unique, truly one of a kind. Its always a pleasure visiting and I will be back!
I happen to stumble on this store and wow! Best vintage clothing store in Memphis! This store is packed with beautiful and wearable items. Everything from couture to every day wear.... shoes & handbags! The owner, Katie Gore, was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about every item in the store. I enjoy knowing where a piece originated and she definitely knew her stuff. Even if you think youre not in to vintage clothing I would recommend popping in this little jewel.

By far one of the best vintage stores I’ve ever been too and they have a nice men’s selection in all sizes. Super super cool stuff. The sales associate was also very helpful with finding sizes and sale items. Over all a really nice store and a good experience. I got an old school Pierre Cardin blue track suit at a great price!

This place was fabulous. Great customer service, fantastic clothing and accessories. The only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 would be because of pricing. Even though everything was fabulous, the pricing was ridiculous. I dont know much about vintage so the styles may come with the price, but dresses started at $125 And went up to $400 +, both of the ladies were incredibly nice but there was almost nothing for my budget of $100 or less.
If you don’t leave this place feeling more fabulous then that’s on you. Amazing customer service, amazing styling advice, and just a fun shop to try on vintage pieces that won’t find anywhere else.

Used to love this place, until this afternoon. Found cute earrings in the $5 tray. Had two other pieces picked out and paid for all (cash). When they were putting it in a box, all of a sudden the owner (I assume) took the earrings and said those werent $5, but $50. No price on the little card, found in the $5 tray and already paid for. So I owned them already. But she wouldnt give them to me and gave me $5.50 back under my protest. I had no choice but to leave the store without the earrings. Eventhough those earrings might have been worth more than $5, there was no price on it other than the tray they were in and they were already mine! Im very upset that she refused to give me the earrings I just bought. Thats just not how you treat a customer. Im sorry they made a mistake in their pricing or whatever but as a store you just cant do that. I wouldnt recommend a store to anyone where such a rude behavior is displayed.
A fabulous little shop! I scored a lovely corduroy jacket from the 1960s for a reasonable price, and will be sure to return for more. The sales clerk is a pleasant, informed, and stylish shopping companion, quick to suggest alternatives. I adore this place -- definitely a Memphis gem.
AMAZING STORE!! The clothes were beautiful and the staff really genuinely helps and cares for you. They pick out things for you based on the things you have shown interest in. The workers were incredibly kind. Love the dog!!
Randomly stopped by last Friday to see what clothes they had. Ended up leaving with three new items. They have items from sweaters to dresses to clutches. The owner and employee were very helpful and kind. Loved the experience and will be going back again soon! P.S. if you are like me and have a hard time finding cute, comfortable, affordable, and nice looking earrings, I would encourage you to look at the ones in their shop.

As an experienced and enthusiastic, but particular and boujee thrifter who has thrifted everywhere from Memphis to NYC too LA, I have to say that Fox & Cat Vintage is my favorite thrift shop! Im all about the mid century throwbacks, and there is just no competition comparable to Fox & Cats extensive collection for women of all sizes. The owner, Katie, is also so personable and is fantastic at pulling together styles and helping you create the PERFECT vintage look from head to toe! You wont leave empty handed and youll never be disappointed!
