Walked in about a month and a half ago and got Catie for my stylist. Had been growing my hair from a short cut for over a year, and needed to fix the mullet. I didnt really know exactly what to ask for. She gave me the cutest blunt cut bob Ive ever had. She did a middle part, left the front as long as possible, and it got shorter in the back. Not only did I leave with EXACTLY what I wanted, she was sooooo nice to me too, made me feel like we were old friends. I cant wait until you reopen so I can get the back trimmed up again! I came in 8 minutes before close and told her she could turn me away because I knew I was stopping them from going home. Not only did she take me back for a cut but she pleased that I get a shampoo even though I knew I was keeping her from going home if I did that. She was amazing and I was so thankful for the effort. I even bought product because she was so good at recommending it. I normally don’t do that and she convinced me and I would absolutely go back and I would love to work with her again. Thanks

My beauty experience at the Mendota Heights Fabtastic Sams Cut & Color Salon was outstanding from start to finish. The salon was clean, well stock with beauty supply products. The stylists were friendly and professional especially my beauty consultant/stylist Angelique. She did an amazing eyebrow waxing and coloring job on my brows. I was born with very light and skimpy eyebrow which looked like I hardly had any, but when she finished the beauty process My eyebrows looked awesome. Shes also a great hair stylist and provides all of my hair care needs. I am definitely a repeat customer of this location.

My hair stylist was great. Hair washing is my favorite part and it felt like a massage! She was interesting to talk with AND cut my hair exactly like I wanted.

I really wonder who posts these glowing reviews! My stylist was tentative and offered to finger dry my hair. When I said I wanted it straight, she made sure I was aware it would cost extra (even thought my hair was 3 inches at its longest). When she was finished, I could see why she was reluctant to dry my hair. It was the worst haircut I have ever received. She offered to not have me pay. I asked if the other stylist present had more experience and if she could fix my hair. I had asked for a longer pixie bob and showed her pictures, but my hair was too long on the side where my part was and on the side that was supposed to be longer it was choppily cut (the second stylist said it will have to grow out). It took an additional 20 minutes to fix. I wasnt even offered a free cut and received little apology. What was most galling was that the original stylist never even approached me to apologize or to watch how to fix the cut. Needless to say, I WILL NEVER RETURN. I didnt think it was necessary to quiz a stylist on ability or experience. Lesson learned: pay more and be assured of a good cut.

Came into this location at 7:10 this evening and was told they would not have time to give me a cut. This location’s hours say they are open until 8:00. There was only one person waiting in line for a haircut and my cuts usually only take about 10 minutes. I was able to drive 10 miles to another location with the same closing time and still get a cut.

The stylists make you feel pampered. They listen and make good suggestions both on hair styles and hair care products. Chelsea does my husband, daughter and my hair on a regular basis. Wait times can be long especially on Saturdays but that should let every one know how incredible the experience will be. The stylists are so professional they are worth the wait.

Walk-in haircut. I was told there was a 45 minute wait, which since I did not have an appointment is acceptable. I asked if I could leave for a short period of time and return prior to the cut. I was gone less than 30 minutes, and when I returned sat and waited close to an hour. I decided to leave when the available stylist took back another customer that had just walked in. The staff did not give me any updates and explain why there was such a long delay.

I am in MN visiting my husbands relatives. My hair had really grown and I needed a haircut desperately. My first time at Fantastic Sams and it was wonderful. Tina did a super job at cutting and shaping my short hair. I loved the cut and the prices were very good, also. I will certainly will return when I am in the area.

Love this place it was great! I went in on a Wednesday at 6:00p.m. The were a few people in front of me. To be honest I waited a while, but I want cut, color so I had to wait for a stylist that could do that. Because I wait a while the man at the front desk who I later found out to be the owner (Dean) of the establishment gave me three dollars of for my next visit. He was extremely apologitic about the long wait too!They started my hair at 7:30 P.M. I had a stylist named Amanda . B She was great she didnt make me feel rushed, and she was really great considering we were there till 10:30P.M.! Not only was she kind she did amazing job! My cut and color looked fantastic 😘. (Pun intended) she also recommended products that actually work for my hair. This was by far the best experience I have ever had at a salon! If you value customers service you should go!

Excellent haircut at a fair price and short wait time.

Expect to wait for service 1-2 hours any day or time. They definitely need more stylists. However the stylists usually all do a good job. It is quite difficult to get in and you can tell there is frustration in the waiting room usually. I try to go elsewhere but it is so close to home every once in a while I go back like today and am waiting again 45 minutes with a couple people ahead of me and I got here at 3:25 which you wouldnt think would be a busy time.

Amanda and Rhonda did a WONDERFUL job on my hair and my sons hair! I spent $50 at a different salon that botched my hair, and Amanda was able to fix it into what I wanted! I will be going to this fantastic sams from now on!

I dont usually write reviews, but I have to write this one. I recently moved to the area & desperately needed a color & hair cut. So I looked up what was close by & went here. I had so much fun - the staff was friendly & seemed to enjoy working here. Sandy did a fantastic job on my hair - and I am gauging that not by MY personal opinion, but by the comments here at work, EVERYONE here at work LOVES the color & hairstyle she gave me. Yes I love it too.

The staff at this location were great! Sure, I had to wait but the were able to get to me as promised and gave me the haircut and style exactly the way I wanted! Awesome!

The hair cut was good, however as we were leaving, the lady that cut my hair took the comb and scraped the bottom of her shoe with it. I felt discussed as I do not know why would somebody do something like that. I believe she thought it was acceptable to clean the sole of her shoe with the utensil they use to cut hair. Very disappointed.
