Great store with a wide selection for just about everyone but the staff is holding them back from being better. The line to checkout seems like it’s always wrapped around the fabric section outside the area designated for the line and the people working the cutting counter seem overworked. The lady that acts like the manager doesn’t have an inside voice which is annoying to say the least.

Employees are rude. Cashier is more concerned about having conversations and laughing with other employees than ringing out a customer who is standing right in front of her.Pick up orders canceled for no reason, and their excuse is its the website, not us when they could apologize and ask if I want help picking out what I had purchased. Done with them. Hobby Lobby and Michaels are a thousand times better!

A lot of times the fabric counter will have a long wait or the checkout line will. But mostly from what Ive seen the employees are helpful when you ask. Most of the time they have what i need, which helps me from having to shop online and wait for shipping.

This holiday I was in search of Tree Toppers, I went EVERYWHERE!!! And couldnt find.I went to JoAnns and there was a lovely lady (I think her name was Sharon) This sweet helpful lady went over& beyond!!! She showed me how and what to use and buy to make a beautiful ribbon and tree topper. I love the store!It was not packed and all the ladies were so helpful.I tried to tip the sweet lady that helped us but she wouldnt take anything!Im giving this recommendation if youre in need of crafts and are unaware,DIY( like I was!) This Is the place to go!!!

It was very busy and the checkout line was very long but they did a great job of making it move quickly

This JoAnns always seems a little over packed / crowded with all the things they have in it. They need to find a better way to display / present many of their products. There are certainly better craft stores in the area.

Love all the fabric selections! The store I went to the isles are a little narrow if pushing a cart but overall love the store.

Had a little trouble finding an item but an associate was able to help me find exactly what I needed. Easy checkout. Ony downfall was that they only had one checkout person working the register & answering the phone

All clean, but the faucet areas. Didnt make me want to wash hands. Nice sales going on and fast check out lines.

Normally every time I go, never a problem. I went yesterday and the cashier was absolutely rude. Would not give me the receipt. The one item I had did not have a tag on it, she repeatedly rolled her eyes and said “christ”. She then would not look up the item so I could purchase it.

It was fun shopping at Joanns Fabrics saw a lot of things found exactly what I was looking for in the jewelry making section, good prices

The people who work here are fabulous. It was my first time buying from there and they were so unbelievably kind and helpful. I was buying fabric to make blankets for my roommates. Great experience. I recommend them the highest it could go. Thanks again guys.

Lots of choices for material and sewing but most other items are pricey

This is a great place to get ideas and certain sale fabrics when the prices are good. But the prices overall are not competitive. It’s kind of confusing how they always have 4 different simultaneous specials going on, but once you can navigate them via their app it’s okay.

The beginner sewing class was FUN & informative. The instructor was patient, thorough & answered all your questions. She was very knowledgeable & Great all around. I would recommend the class if you have never taken a sewing class.

Staff is so absorbed they never ask you if you need help. You have to ask. Then they dont even take the time to show you.... they point to where you might need to go. For a craft store, I expect staff who have ideas to help you create whatever you are trying to do. Some people are novice and some have no idea. I went there with an idea and didnt get a stitch of help from anyone there. They are all way too absorbed in their daily tasks to take the time to talk!

The salesperson was awesome! I made barrettes! Highly recommend for craft needs!

Most of the crew is good but Ive had 2 crew members have an attitude when I asked if they had food grade slicone molds or food grade slicone in stock. But they good products, its slightly larger than the ones Im use to seeing. Also AT TIMES their music can get a bit too loud.

Lines are very long and only one cashier.

I needed a hem tape to repair my favorite cotton sheets.... they/the sales ladies were very helpful in finding the perfect product that I needed.

I ordered 1 item (easy press) online for curbside pick-up (not realizing, they were allowing people to go in the store.) When I went to pick it up the next day, I was told they have 2 weeks to complete the order and will notify me by email when it was ready. I would have never ordered it online if it had been disclosed they had 2 weeks.

I often shop at Joann’s for fabric and sewing essentials. I was there on a Sunday afternoon about three months ago and there were well over a dozen people in line to have their fabric cut and one person doing the cutting. After standing for a long time I called the store from my cell phone because I didn’t want to give my place up in line, and explained that there was a huge line and only one person to cut fabric. In a few minutes they sent several people down to assist in the line began to move. However the next bottleneck was at the cash registers. I’m not sure why there’s a problem keeping the store adequately staffed. Sometimes the prices are too high.

I love your store. I do not love that no one is available to help. I also do not like the super long line at checkout.

This was my first time in here. I eventually found what I was loooking for. However, I did not buy. The arrangement of the store was incredible! It took some time to find an available associate as they were quite busy at the register with business volume which I had respected. They are reasonably priced for what I was looking for even though I do not normally shop here as Jo-Ann Fabrics in my opinion can oftentimes be a little pricey.

Have everything I always want and need.

Ive been sewing for nearly 40 years, from infant, child & adult clothing, custom drapery, upholstery and home decor. I have almost exclusively bought my fabrics from JOANN. The Mentor location, in my opinion, has been decreasing steadily in the customer service department. There was one person cutting fabric, and two registers open. I ended up abandoning my cart of fabrics after waiting in a line with 5 people in front of me for nearly 15 minutes. I waited for almost 15 minutes to check out my non fabric items. The current store manager is rude and loud. I hadnegative experiences with her during the Christmas season. That being said, the company itself offers the best selection out there in the way of materials for creativity.

The clerks are super nice! I went in with my finished quilt top, not knowing the measurements for it, and even though they were busy at the cutting counter the associate was so kind to measure it for me and do the calculations to get me the right amount of bottom fabric. And she even told me what size batting to get (Im not good with numbers). And I got compliments on my quilt top! I love going here!

Picture framing supplies at good prices! Has a distinct estrogen feeling that isnt attractive for a guy shopping solo though. And the wait at the checkout line is always too long.

Horrible service, we ordered for curbside pickup over a week ago because the line was so long. Weve called to check on status with no answer and finally 7 days later received an email stating that theyre 20 day behind.

Good place to get all arts and crafts. Big store with lots of selections. Big section on sewing- sewing machine, tools and fabrics. A lot of other selections in there. Baking tools etc. Prices are a little high.

The workers here are so smart, and helpful! They are quick on their feet, keep the story running efficiently, and the lines here rarely build up long and always clear fast. One of my favorite Joanns to shop at.

Go to the one in Ashtabula Mall if you want a Joann. Go to Hobby Lobby if it doesnt matter. Things have been steadily declining here. Wouldnt let us use all our coupons at checkout, whereas Ashtabula lets us use coupons until the computer stops us. Claimed free items today and it was Christmas leftovers. The entire store stunk like someone did a number 2 across every isle. Coughed till I nearly puked after a few minutes from how bad it was. Couldnt find anyone to help locate an item. Store is most confusing Joann setup ever. Ended up paying more since they wouldnt let us use all our coupons, but we needed the item. And spent forever in line since whoever they called for backup never showed and there were 6 ahead of us in line. Then they had a snooty attitude asking if we found everything alright. Ive never heard someone ask that question with so much disgust and like they were looking down on us. Not going back after this second upset in a row at this store.

A tad pricey but theres almost always a sale going on!! I go fabric that should have cost around $55-60 for $10 because of a nice spring sale :)Wide selection, they have fabrics, leather, beading and jewelry, sewing machines, all kinds of color options!! Even fabric scissors; you can get glitter scissors xD

I placed my order online around 230pm and never received an email stating my order was ready. Thats was problem number one. I went up there at 530 to see about it and buy something else. The girl that rang me up was new and was about to cry at one point. Problem two: after ringing me up, she didnt give me a bag. I had to ask for one twice. Problem three: I told her that I had an online order I needed to pick up. She didnt know how to do it so she asked for help. She started to place an online order for me instead of listening to what I said about picking one up. The other cashier came over to help again. He asked her if she had looked behind the other counter to grab my order. The girl looked at me as if I was supposed to do it. I just raised my eyebrow. The male cashier, Tory, grabbed my order and had me sign the paperwork instead. Now while the girl, Angie, was nice, I believe she was too new to be on the register alone on a busy Saturday. She panics alot and it shows. Having a meltdown or crying is not the answer. Angie definitely needs more register training. She didnt even know how to change the register tape. On the other hand, Tory needs a raise for how well he works under pressure and came to his co-workers aide without issue.

Was able to find a super cute Christmas tree and it was a great price due to the sale

They have a fantastic selection of sewing, and art and craft supplies in stock in the store. They text me coupons every few days for 20-50% one item, so I take advantage of these sales, buying art supplies. Great store!
