Went to many stores looking for a tempura pedic mattress, we decided to go with Mattress Land because the sale employees and manager were great. And they really work their best to get you a good deal. They answered every question we had and just made us feel at ease. No pressure buying anything unless we absolutely loved it. My husband and I walked into the retail store on Sunday September 19, 2021 looking for an additional top mattress for my sons (big boy) trundle bed. We were greeted by Terri who was phenomenal with customers. My dissatisfaction and disappointment doesn’t come directly from her but instead the company as a whole which is why they get 1 star.The mattress we chose was the ML APPLEGATE Twin #27407 One thing buyers should beware of is that this company sends out un-inspected DEFECTIVE MATTRESSES. The Mattress we received was both offset (each layer was sticking out on the sides), cut short (measured shorter than 75” in length) and didn’t feel at all like the one in the store.When Fabian and his coworker delivered the mattress to my home the next day (20th), they were in a rush and decided to remove the outer packaging without asking me before I even entered the room. I was also asking Fabian about why they decided to remove the packaging without consulting me because I did not want it removed. He didn’t have any reason and gave me excuses. When I called Terri to get a refund I was told permission was needed from “the boss”. Finally after going back and forth with Terri, the company boss decided to allow a return but stated I would need to wait till day 8 (on a Monday) because I was told there was no availability before then. Mind you, when I asked Terri about the 7 day un-opened return policy, I was told the 8th day would be fine. When I requested to bring the mattress into the retail store myself (today - Sep 20th) so I could be done with this transaction, I was denied due to Covid and the opened mattress. (Again, I never wanted this opened) Now I am stuck storing a defective mattress for the next 7 days. Where will this mattress go? Who knows, but I am extremely irritated about this whole transaction. I also will more that likely need to wait 7-10 days for a full refund even to my debit card although I paid partial cash. I was also told by Terri “It usually gets returned within 24 hours”. Hopefully that’s a true statement.In all, would I buy from this company again? No. Would I recommend this company? Absolutely not. The only pleasing thing about this situation is that I didn’t get rid of the awesome mattress I purchased from Costco, the day prior. Again: BUYER BEWARE.

The doors were locked for the employees safety, but based on the location we do not blame her. We attempted to walk in & were about to leave, but Terri opened up and explained her reasons for the locked doors. Terri was very personable and knowledgeable about the products. Ultimately the pricing was more than we wanted to spend, but she prices matched based a different style that was similar and included a bed frame based on another vendors pricing and stated that they would price match up to a year. What we liked is the 6 months to try and if we don’t like it, we could return it for a different style or firmness number. We also like the free delivery and 20 year warranty.

I recently ordered a mattress from an online department store, but it was going to take over a month for it to be delivered. I decided to check locally and went to Mattress Land. This was the best decision I made because I found a better mattress and wish I would have come here first. When we got to Mattress Land, we were greeted by the store manager, Terri who was fantastic in helping me pick out a mattress. I explained what I was interested in and she knew right away what mattresses to show us. Terri was professional, super nice, and made shopping for a mattress so much fun. I highly recommend shopping at Mattress Land for all your mattress needs!

Edit 7/10/21: DO NOT RECOMMEND. I ordered a mattress, foundation, and frame from Terri on June 10th. I was told the delivery could be as early as that Sunday. After receiving no communication from Terri, we called on June 17th and was told she would call me when it comes in. I went into MattressLand on June 21st and Terri said it would in by the end of the week. The week ended and she never contacted me. On June 27th, I went back to MattressLand to ask for a refund. Terri said she said she couldn’t do it that day because corporate was closed on Sunday but that Megan from corporate would for sure call the next day about my refund. I never received a call from Terri or Megan. I literally got scammed. I am still waiting for a refund. To this day, MattressLand has never made an attempt to contact me about my purchase. It’s been 30 days since I made the mistake of dealing with this company. I am currently in the process of disputing this charge with my credit card company because MattressLand still hasn’t delivered the mattress and they still haven’t given me a refund. Awful company. Awful customer service. Never again. 0/5

I thought it was great service in the beginning. I read a lot of great reviews and thought I give this place a shot. I bought the temper-pedic breeze, what I thought was the top brand and best there is since my husband had neck issues. The bed was rough in the beginning and I was not fully satisfied with the bed. I called for a return but was told they would exchange only after 30 days. I wasnt fully informed of the return policy. There should be a sign no return exchange only on mattress I was very disappointed!!! They told me they would exchange and whatever was left over of the amount that I originally purchased would be store credit only. Also, when they delivered the mattress, I was told I would receive two pillows, I received only one and it took me almost a whole month and calling 3-4 times to the store to receive my temper-pedic pillow. I even spoke to area manager but never heard back. Never again!!!!!!!

More importantly, let me express my deepest appreciation for Terri. I walk into a mattress store, absolutely naive on what to get, how much to spend and what is right for me, but along comes Terri.This is where honesty meets honesty, as I tell her how much I can spend and she helps me find a GREAT mattress for way less than I’m planning to spend. Plus she was on Ellen and I don’t know about you but I think that’s cool. She creates a sleep profile custom for me (free of charge) gets me all the bargains allowed and treats me like family. I leave with a wonderful experience, educated on mattress etiquette and utterly thankful for people like Terri in the world.
