On 10/13/2021 I called Marshall Ford in Philadelphia, MS to speak with someone in their service department about a problem I am having with my 07 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. I spoke with a gentleman in their service department and asked to speak with someone who could give me some general ideas of possible causes with the clear understanding that the exact cause could not be known. He refused to let me speak with anyone or even let me leave my name and number so someone could call be back at a more convenient time. He quite bluntly said, We dont do that!I then called New South Ford and spoke with Johnny in their service department. What a difference! Johnny understood exactly what I needed and spent several minutes going over possible causes, and even gave me likely costs for each scenario.Keeping all of this in mind, if your looking for understanding, respect, and a genuine, good ole, southern grateful attitude for your consideration in their business, its NOT Marshall Ford in Philadelphia. ITS NEW SOUTH FORD in Meridian. Thank you Johnny!

I kind of wish I could move to Meridian just so this could be my Ford dealership!! I was traveling through area and hit some storm debris on the road that dislodged the splash guard on my undercarriage. Had a car full of dogs and camping gear. They got me back on the road in less than half hour with true southern hospitality!!! I cannot recommend them enough.

Came with an error code asked for an estimate and they ran their own diagnostic. Diagnostic cost $125 to give them the same info I provided. Declined a $550 estimate to replace a sensor. Sensor is on the intake, has two screws and plugs in. Sensor costs $50. Est. time to replace is 5 minutes. I am unhappy they charged $125 to plug in the OBD code reader and wish they would have warned me first, or I would have declined what is generally a free service other places. They did provide the TSB bulletin number for the fix, however I already had that as well.

Went in for service and the staff was very polite and pleasant. They made a mistake and charged me $125 that should have been waived with warranty work. When I brought it to their managers attention a few weeks later he quickly corrected the mistake and refunded my money, so I believe them to be honest and would work with them again in the future.

The body shop is one of the best things about this place. Ive never purchased a vehicle from here, but we use the body shop about 5 time over the past 3 years. Glen the manager, of the body shop is very personable and makes you feel as though youre the only customer that matters! His assistant is no different. We have no complaints about any of our experience or the staff.

Took Ford F150 truck in for Works oil change service because I just happened to be in their area when it was due. New tech as observed through waiting room glass couldnt figure out how to lift the truck until another tech helped him. New Tech preceded to strip four of my lug nuts when trying to do the tire rotation at which time quick lane manager suggested I replace all lug nuts on truck at a $200 cost. I told him dont even rotate them at this point. Leave it alone. The truck has always had services at other Ford Dealers and has never had an issue with the lug nuts. I showed the Quick Lane manager the stripped lug nuts before leaving and he did not offer to replace them. Then the truck seemed louder after leaving from the oil change. Got home and looked under the hood and the tech never even put the air breather back on. Left it unattached under the hood. I will never stop here again for an oil change.

Three times Ive attempted to purchase a vehicle from New South Ford (one used mustang a few years ago, one new mustang, and one overpriced used Jeep Rubicon). They have consistently refused to work with me on price or down payment (despite having good credit), and on the Jeep deal, the sales manager greeted me and as soon as I mentioned the Kelly Blue Book value of the vehicle, he rudely shut down communication, shook my hand, and walked away. I Wont be begging to spend my money at this dump ever again! John ONeil Johnson Toyota and Hyundai offers much better service.

Very disappointed --- We purchased a F250 from this dealership in December 2017, and purchased the full and extended warranty. We were told that the warranty was bumper to bumper. Exactly ONE month after driving the truck we noticed a slip in the transmission. It got worse. We took the truck back in to have the service department assess the problem. They said they didnt know for sure if it was the transmission (the truck had a programmer on it when we bought the truck). They said that we would need to have it set back to factory before they could do anything. We did that. Still.......they cannot say for sure if it is the transmission. Sooooo, what they are saying now is that it COULD be the transmission or it COULD be the computer....they just dont know. Here is where the problem comes into play ....They are telling us that if they take out the transmission and it isnt the actual problem that we will need to PAY $1400.00 for the service. Ridiculous. How in the world is it a WARRANTY HOLDERS responsibility to pay for a problem that they are unable to assess with FORDS diagnostic equipment??? Im sorry that it could cost FORD money. That is not my problem. Ford should not be selling warranties that they refuse to honor. Ford corporate office needs to be made aware of this situation. Also, when we purchased this truck they gave us the wrong key fob. It didnt work, so we took it back to get the correct one......They said we would have to pay almost $400.00 for a new one. We still dont have that key fob because we shouldnt have to pay for that. I am so disappointed with New South Ford service and we will never purchase another Ford or do business with them, and I suggest anyone who is considering purchasing a new vehicle to do it elsewhere.

We took our truck there after being rear ended with about 7500. worth of damage. From the time we arrived there to the time we picked up our repaired truck they were the friendliest they could be! Kept us infomed of its progress and made the payment to them from the other drivers insurance company no hassle what so ever! We give them top notch reviews on our dealings with them. Would also make us go there to purchase a new truck without hesitation if we decide to get another.

I showed up on Saturday around 3:30-4 to look at the Mustang GT’a with my Dad. I’ graduating soon so I was looking to get a new car for graduation, but me, and my dad parked at the front of the dealership and got out and started looking for one that catches my eyes. Needless to say I found the car I was wanting to test drive and waited over 10 minutes on a salesperson but no one would even come out to greet us. I’m very disappointed in New South Ford as my father used to be a salesman here years ago.

The reviews for this place speak for themselves. How this place stays in business blows my mind. I am from out of town, dropped my truck off after hours for service, you have to basically park on the side of the frontage road and leave your vehicle there, because they block the parking lot with metal gates after hours, after leaving your vehicle on a public street you then have to walk 200 yards in the dark to find the old building in the back that says “Service” to drop your keys off at. I had requested the “Works” package which includes oil and filter change, tire rotation and a multi-point inspection. Keep in mind I have put 40K miles on this truck in the last 4 months, so it needed to be serviced, inspected and advised on any additional maintenance needs. When I picked my vehicle up, they handed me a receipt and told me where to pay. I got no inspection checklist, no one says if my brakes look good, if my air filter was okay, etc. As I am going down the HWY I notice my air pressure for my tires are the exact same as when I dropped it off. I had put a plug/patch in my back left tire due to a flat the week prior and filled the tire up so I had known the back left tire had more air pressure then the rest. When I stopped I got out and looked and found the back left tire is the same tire with the plug I had put in it. I knew then that my tires had not been rotated or even had the PSI checked. I then proceed to check my air filter which was nasty and covered in debris and bugs. Then I also notice my windshield washer fluid is bone dry. After finding all of this, I checked the oil filter. The oil filter is still covered in mud and dirt.When I called the dealership to complain I was told they did in fact did all the work. I then was transfer to several people in the service department including the kid in the quick lube that apparently worked on it. Everyone pointed the finger at the next person. Once I finally got a hold of the service writer I was told they can’t refund me for work they have done. But she spoke with the service manager and they offered to refund me a whopping $6 for not rotating my tires. Wow! So now, I have paid $64 for an oil change, tire rotation and multi-point inspection that never even happened. I now have to take off work yet again to go to a reputable dealership to have my vehicle properly serviced. Thanks New South Ford!

Without a doubt, the largest collection of crooks in Meridian, MS. Im pretty sure you can discover this by the countless reviews online. As an experienced, dealership technician, I am knowledgeable of the inner workings of a well-tuned maintenance/service department which does everything in their power to please the customer, including requests to the engineering department for assistance or calling corporate for a favor.Not once, but twice in a one week period, a service writer or someone claiming to be a manager (Chris in the Body Shop) has attempted to either add expenses to an RO or claim defective components on a vehicle which are impossible to discover in a 5 mile trip. I would love to have a chat with the GM or owner...which Im sure will never happen. I have been a Ford owner my entire life, and will continue to be, however, I have no plans on purchasing or requesting maintenance from this location. I would much rather take the hour and a half trip to Jackson, just to have the wiper blades changed or air put in the tires!

Paid over the phone and was assured my vehicle would be left in a place where I could come get it after hours because of job/time constraints. I was 100% ready to purchase a pickup from this dealership today. I noticed that the rear taillight was cracked and full of water. I asked the salesman to speak to the manager.... he proceeded to tell me that if he replaced the light for me he would have to adjust the $26,000 price to reflect the repair. I can’t say enough good things about Jennifer and Nell. Jennifer was our salesperson and when we first emailed about needing a car and having no credit she responded within minutes inviting us to the dealership. We set a appointment and still wouldn’t get our hopes up because of all the places we contacted with our situation she was the only one responsed. When we got there she had two cars in mind for us and both were more than we hoped for. Then we went to Nell the “Finance Wizard” as I call her! Went to have my oil change and service for the first time here in MS. I have no problem with the man at the front desk and the cashier they are all nice.the thing is the people or mechanics inside.at the report they gave me its saying that all my tires psi ingoing and out going are 36. Fyi before i handed my car to them i checked my car psi one of the tire is 30 (recomended cold pressure for me is 36) and the other 3 are on 34 pai. So i know that one my tires really need air and are not all equal 36.i even ask the guy in the main desk to tell the mechanics that my tires need air and he said its included in the service.they gave me back my car after the service i checked the app and my car still showing my tires were 30 and 36 psi, i asked them if they put air. The guy said it takes time to for it to change maybe a minute. I drove 10 mins already my tires psi are the same 30 and 34 till now.the guys inside /mechanic maybe didnt really checked it and just wrote it down in their report, i have been to different state of ford service they all check my tires and hand it to me after service with all tires well balanced aired psi, first time to do it in Mississippi, i think i should find a different place next time. I dont like when people lie to their customer just to make their job easy. I was thinking what else do they write on their report that they said they “done” or “checked “ but really did not do it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We Bought a 2017 Explorer in October 2016. PAID for leather seats and upgraded to navigation system. I have yet to receive a working navigation system. I was offered my money back but when I bought this I wanted the navigation system, I was told they could do it so thats what I expect. I dont want the vehicle without the navigation system/hands free talk. If they said they couldnt have done it I would have moved to the XLT that does have it. Im not happy at all. Its my money, If I can cut cost I will. The XLT had a lot of features I didnt care anything about. Seems very little concern on NSF part for my satisfaction. The guys installing the navigation system have been very nice but I believe they were deceived and was told this vehicle was a 2016, in which the navigation system would have worked without incident. I paid way too much for something Im not happy with. Very disappointed. It wont happen again, I can promise you that.

Apparently he didnt feel like I fit the stereotypical description for my job title b/c after dealing with them for 3 days he had to come ask me my title again, he already snubbed me on a handshake the first introduction in front of my kids - umm ok super professional, and not once was I asked for a Check Stub but yet apparently his personal opinion of me mattered more than my factual income !!! I was motivated to spend a decent amount of money - and the next dealership I visit - THX YOU a whole lot, B/C my stats Check Out !!!And Oh by the way about the 3 notes, didnt matter if I got the car & truck or just the car still wouldve equaled 3 notes !!! This facility does EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to avoid honoring their own warranty!! They will look at your vehicle and charge you out the wazoo for something that is covered! You have to do your due diligence, and contact everyone but Jesus to get a claim approved! I will never deal with them ever again as far as repairs!! I have a 2013 Ford Edge which is still covered under factory warranty of 5 years/60,000 miles for everything, and they continue to tell me that it is not! I had to pay $220 for an issue that was well within warranty. Awful Awful service!!

One of the rear suicide-style doors on my 2013 Ford F150 would not open so I took my truck in for service prior to a trip so we could put our babys car seat in the back. They told me that one of the latch cables was broken and the other was partially sheared and may break at anytime. The quote for work to replace them both was $700. Way more than I wanted to spend on a rear door latch, especially when they said they would be putting the same parts back in my truck that apparently wear out within a few years of ownership. I passed.When I got around to opening the door myself I found that a cable end had just come dislodged. None of the parts were damaged or broken in any way. I simply reseated the cable and the door opened and closed just fine. They clearly never opened the door assembly to inspect the problem and lied to me. In the end I was able to save $700, get my rear door working again, and learned to never use New South Ford for my service needs.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME...my mother and I were traveling from So. Ga to West Texas and the check engine light came on in my sons F250 as we were coming into Meridian... I called the service dept. got a nice guy named Johnny on the phone he guided me straight to the service dept. He checked the truck and found it was a heat sensor...found out for us it was still under warranty. He had us in and out of there, fixed and on the road in an hr and 15 mins.... NO CHARGE! love this place and the ppl were so NICE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!

Traveling to Bay St. Louis, MS from Wavey, OH and needed an oil change and read check engi news code. We were in a new Class C camper with a diesel engine. They normally dont work on RVs but since we were traveling they changed the oil and read the code. They reset the code and said it would be ok. Just exhaust gas temp. It hasnt come back on. They let us bring our 70 lb dog in the waiting area and everyone was very nice. Thanks so much for taking care of us.

Back in 2012 I had a horrible experience with this dealership. Talked with online sales rep; she ran our credit and said we were approved. Went to dealership with the required down payment and was told we weren’t approved. Wouldn’t do anything to help the situation. Because of that experience they have missed out on at least 5 vehicle sales since 2012 from me. Never will I darken their doorstep.

IF YOU NEED WARRANTY WORK DONE ON YOUR FORD VEHICLE:Do NOT go here. They make every excuse in the book to not do Warranty work on your vehicle. I own a 15 Mustang GT w/ PP and had a tire valve stamp that needed to be replaced because it was leaking. They ended up making me PAY for it and after talking with my Regional Ford Service Rep, I will be getting refunded for that because that is a warranty covered issue along with the Premium Maintenance package I have.Quick-Lane does a decent job with the minimal routine service that needs to be done, but the Ford Service side is a joke. I was also told they do NOT work on Manual Transmissions or do transmission fluid changes (seriously now???). All of these things are basic services that all places offer.In conclusion, if you need routine maintenance (i.e. oil change, fluid change (some), etc.) this wouldnt be a terrible place to go. If you need other things worked on or checked out, save yourself the hassle and headache from dealing with this dealership.I would not recommend this place to a friend or family member.

I moved to Meridian in July 2016 and on the way my AC gave out. Took my Mustang to New South Ford and they replaced the compressor and also replaced the driver’s side air bag in accordance with a recall. When I got my car back, the metal running horse in the middle of the wheel was completely scratched up, probably from a tech putting it down and not protecting it. Complained to the service writer and eventually spoke to the service manager, who told me a new part was still being engineered as part of the recall (then how was my car serviced with new parts for the recall) and eventually questioned whether the scratching had happened in his shop. He told me as soon as the part was available, they’d call me to replace it. I went to another Ford dealership and said they could get the steering wheel cover in a week and had no idea what the service manager was talking about. Still never got a call about replacing the cover they scratched up. To add onto that, I had to have the AC charged less than a year later by another shop. Finally, I had a slightly weird feel in the clutch for a couple days but it subsided. Questioning New South Ford’s service department’s honesty and professionalism, I took it to them just to see what they’d say. Of course they told me I needed to replace the entire clutch and pressure plate assembly for $1200. Took it to another shop who said nothing was wrong. This service department is clearly full of liars and dishonest people, not unlike many dealership service departments. Do not trust them and avoid going to them at all costs.Update: this place will still lie to you and not give proper service to you or your vehicle.
