I stopped by last week to get information regarding a coin my father had saved for years. Eric and Rich were super helpful, knowledgeable, and waited around for me, even though it was close to closing time. American Coin and Stamp Brokerage is the best family owned collectible store in Nassau County. The owners and staff are honest, knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. I have been collecting ancient coins for the past 10 years and I will only trust the authenticity of coins that come from their shop. Rich has an extensive knowledge of ancient coins and he taught me, not only about collecting them, but also about the history attached with each coin as well. Thanks to them, I have many rare coins that I would not have been able to find anywhere else including two that were documented for their rarity: a coin from emperor Titus that was documented as 1 of 3 known specimens and the other is a coin from emperor Hadrian from Roman Egypt and that has been the only one documented. They also have some very good early American coins from the late 1700s. Both Rich and Eric really take their time to go over everything that comes into the store to make their customers only receive the best material for any collection, and they really take their time to treat every customer with the utmost respect and dignity. I will continue doing business with ACSB and encourage anyone looking to start a collection to come to their store.

This place is a secret treasure for antiques. I e found so many things that I absolutely love and some great gifts for my boyfriend who is a huge sports fanatic. The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable which is nice since I know nothing about sports.

The staff are helpful. Items are quite expensive; Inventory is extremely limited. Store could also be a little more organized so customers can more easily view things while waiting to speak to a store rep.

FINALLY! A friendly and honest coin dealer! We met with Rich today to see what our 12 gold coins were worth. He was so up front and above board I cant say enough good things. I think we got a very honest estimate and will definitely be taking all future business to AC&SB.UPDATE:Here we are 2 months later. My siblings and I recently inherited my fathers coin collection. After visiting all the better known coin dealers and coming away feeling that we would definitely be seriously cheated, were back at ACSB which is right in my home town. After stopping by a couple months ago and meeting with Rich to get some initial appraisals, we knew right away that this is who we would be selling the collection to. ACSB is a very friendly and knowledgeable family run business. Rich spent almost 4 hours today carefully going through a rather large collection, explaining which coins were most valuable and why, and came up with a very fair offer.There is no need to visit any other coin dealers. I recently found several coins that my father must of collected throughout the years while cleaning out closets in my home. Needless to say, I wasn’t sure what to do with them - that’s when I googled coin collectors near me and came upon American Coin in Merrick. I contacted them and explained what I had and Jenna (the young lady who answered the phone) told me that her dad would be more then happy to help me when I came into the store. I proceeded to drive to Merrick. The store was easy to get to and Jenna was right, her dad took the time to explain exactly what I had in the various coins my dad collected. My experience with them was AMAZING! They are knowledgeable in what they do but more importantly, I found them to be honest and trustworthy. I couldn’t believe my ears when they told me the “treasure” I had inherited. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to cash in on some old coins, jewelry etc as you won’t find a more honest father, daughter and son in this business.

I felt very comfortable at ACSB. Everyone working here is extremely professional and courteous. I believe this can be because it is a family oriented business, a “ma and pa store”. I went in searching for something military related for my uncle, and low and behold they had a World War Two German bayonet on display. One of the greatest purchases I have ever made. I recommend this place to everyone. It’s quite unreal, some of the rare antiques they have here.
