I’d like to change my rating because stop and stop is my organic to go store and will forever be especially with the saving on my some of my favorite items unfortunately I can’t say much for the customer service department, the young lady that works there is very unhelpful and don’t even get me started on how upset the manager was even though I had ask a question yet couldn’t get a simple answer until the manager spoke for her. I’m sorry but when did it become a okay to laugh at a customer behind there back as there walking away especially as a worker or manager ? It makes me bigger shopping centers looks awesome compare to local grocery chains.

Great store! The only annoying thing is that when they renovated near me, they moved everything! Oh well... Ill get used to it.

This Stop & Shop really needs to be renovated. However, I was pleased to not see the robot. And, there were no lines at the registers.

One of the smaller stop & shops, but really well organized/stocked. Not super busy either, with a decent amount of parking on-site.

I dont think you want to know of my experience. I have to admit it was my fault, I was unprepared when it came time to pay. I went over my budget and had to take things off. As if that wasnt embarrassing enough, the manager kept hollering at the poor cashier to hurry. He even told her to delete my order altogether. I understand he had other customers but Im a customer too. He didnt have to be mean. Im disabled, it was very hard for me to walk around the store to begin with, plus the store was out of most of what I came in for anyway. Horrible experience 😪

Nice area with good amount of parking. Supermarket was clean, well organized, with friendly staff. Very good prices and most items are finally back in stock.

It was my first time shopping at this particular Stop&Shop. It took me awhile to figure out its layout. Its produce section is large with a wide variety. This is ideal in the summer when you want a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Love Stop and Shop. This is a smaller one where some selections of items is less, but an overall good shopping experience where we got mostly everything we needed.

Pretty much what you would expect from a supermarket :). Easy parking, convenient to local restaurants etc. Close to Merrick LIRR station

Compared to other stop and shops, this is by far one of the worst supermarkets. No vegan items and no selections of plant based items.

Its a grocery store. It has food. Theres 5 stars.

The people behind the deli were all nice but they werent all wearing hair nets. The man with white hair wore a hat not sure if thats the same. The cashier didnt even smile and we helped bag the stuff. Otherwise all good

The interior needs to be renovated. Especially the floor.

Not too big but they have a nice selection of foods and guys at the deli are very nice. They also have a scanning gun that you use to keep track of how much you spend, save. Makes checking out a breeze. You will need the member savings card to use it however. They should add a second line for this in my opinion. Overall, they gained another customer.

Good workers in the meat dept, cold cuts dept and customer service.

Those employees are the rudest people around. I only go their for a quick thing and thats to much. When I need to go shopping I will travel to east meadow stop and shop. Much nicer people, bigger store, neater and cleaner

Although this is a smaller store, I find more of the items that I am looking for that I do in larger Stop & Shop stores. I think that people sometimes overlook this store thinking that they may not have everything they are looking for; I have found just the opposite to be true. Other than that, this is essentially just an average Stop & Shop store. The workers are friendly and helpful and the store is usually pretty clean. I also can get in and out of this store quicker. Overall a good place to shop!

Shop there every day cashiers are very nice mangers ok but need better directions for checking out and making sure customers have masks on

Big fan of stop and shop. I often go there to buy lunch they have food premade subs and sandwiches. Prices are good if you have their card, and I knock one off for that. I dont like having to have a card to get the discount. Im from out of town so I dont have a card when I visit - not needed for 6 visits a year.

Small for a Stop & Shop and very limited staff makes very long lines the norm at this location.

I dont like the atmosphere in their. The shoppers seem prejudice to me. Some of them walk right in front of you and dont even say excuse me!! Like your not even there!!! I know Im not invisible.

I visit this particular store because it is convenient for me. Otherwise, Id never go in there. Im often disappointed that they dont have what I am looking for and its not a rare item that I need. The last visit they did not have any knishes, before that it was Hellmans mayo, and before that it was Worcestershire sauce.There are way too many supermarkets to choose from in Merrick. The Stop & Shop in Bellmore is better. Im just lazy sometimes.

As a regular shopper here that shops mostly for organic produce and for vegan foods I find their assortment to meet all my needs. The staff so far has been very helpful and there is a great amount of parking on either side of the store. However, I have found at peak hours when people are off from work that the South Western parking area has more spots.

Great grocery store, nice place to shop for everything, very fresh bakery.

Purchased strip steaks on sale which were supposed to be sold by the 11th. This was on the 8th. Went to grill them on the 9th and some of the 5 were turning black and didnt smell right. I cut the bad parts off and they were tender but they had to be old.

Im bagging 75% of order while Im being overcharged on clearly marked apples that I dont see until I get home.

Not as much of a selection as the larger former location in Freeport but still reasonably well stocked. Freeport had a kosher bakery. We miss that.

I have a few problems with this store and it has nothing to do with the employees and everything about the managment team. In fact if it wasnt for the employees I wouldnt shop here at all, because most of them are extremely helpful. They need to staff better, it seems this store always has a skeleton crew. Lines are awful and management is nowhere to be seen and if seen they are off talking in one of the isles, ignoring the problems and if they are doing something they are yelling at the employees to work harder and do more. Ive seen employees hurt themselves just to keep up.

Good selection. Be aware that many sales require the specific amount stated to get the price started. Most other supermarkets dont require this..such as 4 for $2...you MUST buy 4 or else the price will not be reduced.

It isnt the staff thats rude. It is the customers!!!! I was there buying sushi and I literally saw I guy knocked over blueberries on the ground and continued to trample them regard less of the fact that the floor attendant asked him not to. Also. I am just going to put this out there, the way the customers stare at people of colour..... omg. I will never come here again. Horrible people man. Stop and shop is fine but the customers are disgusting. I will keep shopping in babylon or East islip where the customers are less rude.

👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼for the manager and deli staff of theStop and Shop in Merrick Mall.I shop here regularly well today I was ordering from the deli, I did not get the females name but Luis who was taking my order was so rude and bothered because I ordered 4 different items well I walked away and tell my husband who goes right over to speak to Luis(deli) and my husband witnessed him degrading an older lady. This made my husband really mad. The lady left & goes to complain to the manager my husband followed suit.. after a few choice words ... long story short the manager was not interested in hearing complaints especially when my husband tells him that he needs to handle it & to do his job. Now the manager is yelling and I pull my husband away seeing that this guy is a JOKE of a manager and is not going to do anything about the lack of work ethic & respect. Shame on you Stop & Shop. Sad cause most of the employees are kind and helpful.Safe to say we will not shop here again.

Parking there can be a challenge. They are usually pretty well stocked. I have had bad experiences with their meats. I have purchased pork and beef from this location and put it in the refrigerator for a day, opened it and almost wreched from the smell. Their fish and poultry seems to be much fresher. I have had better luck at other locations and have been going to the stop and shop in Baldwin. It is more of a drive, but I have had better luck all around.

Stop & Shop has the best warm muffins 1st thing in the AM. Store us clean, well stocked & has a great health food section.

I Love Stop & Shop, but because they closed the one in Freeport i now have to go to Merrick, Ive always loved Stop & Shop, the sales are always great 👍

Very clean after the renovation in 2015. Selection is good, but limited store size keeps some of the harder to find products off the shelves. Everyone here is friendly and very helpful.

Great produce. Use their club card with app to clip coupons online for some really great deals! Super organic /vegetarian options, again, reasonably priced when ON SALE. But even at regular price, the same exact items are still cheaper than Whole Foods. Bakery LOOKS great, and Ive had no problems with their pies, cakes, cookies and sweets, bagels seem to last a few days, but beware of rolls and bakery breads. Ive bought packages of bialeys or onion rolls that looked great in the store with an OK sell - by date, but literally the very next day, everything I just bought is covered in patches of green or white mold. This happened more than once, so it wasnt just a one - off. Also, their self - checkout wands where you scan and bag as you go can be a GREAT timesaver and give you the ability to track your costs as you go, but beware, its not as easy to remove an item you scanned accidentally or changed you mind about. I thought that I had removed a few items that I had already scanned, when I replaced it in my cart with a different brand, on sale, but even though it beeped and confirmed item removed, I ended up paying for about 6 items I had removed and overpaid at least $20. Unfortunately, I didnt notice until I got home. Im going to try going back to explain what happened and see if they will refund me.....
