My experience started out well with chad and mike. I believe theses two do truly care about there job and there customers. I wont get into detail but I had a lot of issues with the guy who closed on my sided by sided also the owner. He was not truth full and he sold me a 3 year warranty when I had the first responder promotion by Polaris, which upgraded me from a 1 year to a 2 year. Then him and the owner gave me the run about and made me believe I couldnt get it and needed to purchase it. Well I did and when I got home and looked on the internet they were wrong. Needles to say I gave them and earful and they gave my money back. They didnt even know there own promotion, witch is the thing what brought me in anyway. The service department is also unconventional and they need to be more professional. I will most likely not purchase anything from them in the future or service it there ether.
Quick turn around on maintenance. They found a couple problems before they turned into big problems
I normally love going in Maxim but I am assuming due to Covid the store is wiped clean... I have never seen there main floor so empty!!! Everything seems to be out of stock!
Scheduled a test drive for 2 bikes with a salesman there. Came back for the scheduled test a few days later and he told me his boss told him he couldnt set them up for a test drive. 50 minute drive there and back and they didnt let me know in advance they cancelled it. I was ready to buy a bike after my test drive so they lost the sale and future customer. Sales staff clearly are not trained. Also he told me their shop is completely backed up and days behind schedule so I wouldnt recommend taking your bike there for service.
Great experience.I previously owned a 2018 Harley FatBob 114. I had bought it new when I had literally 0 credit history, so of course my interest was high (11.19%).I called Harley and told them I was looking to upgrade to a larger bike (bagger) and that when I bought the bike I had no credit. I was hoping to upgrade at a lower interest rate and keep around the same payments because I have good credit history now.Harley told me that my interest rate was about their average and that if I wanted to upgrade my payments would most likely double.So I called Maxim Power Sports. (Indian dealer) and the manager told me to come in and they will work with me.I went in and they told me my interest rate on the Harley was very high. A few short hours later I was taking home a brand new Indian Challenger for close to the same payments and a lot lower interest rate.The whole staff was extremely friendly and willing to work with me. I’m very pleased with my purchase and I got exactly what I wanted.I highly recommend stopping in and checking the place out.
I needed new tires for my Honda VTX1800 and called Lake Cycle, they only wanted to sell me what they had in stock and not order the ones I wanted. Stopped by Maxim and parts department was more than happy to order the Metzler Marathon 888 cheaper than any site online. 4 days later tires arrived and made Appointment with service department for following week to drop off bike and have tires installed and oil change. I had never used Maxim before, brought in a Honda and I was treated very professionally. Excellent job.

Walked in looking for an interchangeable part for forward controls. Upon entering, realized no one was wearing a mask correctly. Not even attempting to.I really needed this part so I proceeded in. Approached the sales desk and asked for my part. As soon as the gentleman saw me, he wrote me off.I will never do attempt to do business here. I was snubbed and they do not take the health of their patrons seriously.
Wasnt greeted. Had to go to salesperson and ask if I could sit on a used bike. Was there to see Indian Motorcycles they were more focused on the people there to look at side by side

Went into the service department to get my Yamaha banshee piston and cylinders hommed and measured. They told me it was standard bore. Went to cycle sport In Hobart and ordered standard bore top end kit. And it was the wrong ones. Had cycle sport measure them and they are 2.00 over. What a joke maxim is. $320 out now because they are special order. Don’t go to service at maxim.
Ive been dealing with Maxim Sports for a few years now and have nothing but high praise for there laid back sales approach. So nice to walk in a place and have room to look at bikes that are not stacked up on each other.Especially nice when you can walk around without getting hassled by a salesperson.I just bought the new 2020 White Challenger and couldn’t be any happier for the purchase. Nice facility, but the only person who offered any help (or tried to introduce themselves) was the older gentleman at the service counter. Sales staff was non-existent (appeared to all be in their offices) and not eager to help a buyer.

I went in to look at a Can Am Outlander. I walked out with a new one. I would say that I got a fair deal. Not over the top great, but fair. Which is all you can really ask for. The employees were polite and helpful, they didnt try to scam me or make me feel like I had to buy, like other reviews here say. All in all, it was a good experience and I am happy. Since I bought my Can Am, they have been really great and have been helpful with all my extra accessory needs. I would buy there again.

All lies. Their service department is a joke. They do not take accountability for anything. The service department works as if you are not the customer, and if theyre doing u a favor.You are better off taking your bike to Imotor sports. Maxim kept our bike for over two months. Instead of working on other task while parts were ordered for others, they completely stopped. This prolongs the repair process. Over two months our bike was kept by them. This is not acceptable.They only have one Can-am guy in the location. They will not hire another one. They justifying their long wait by continuously stating that they are short staffed as if that is the consumers problem. Their Can-am guy Adam is awful in regards to work ethic. His attitude sucks.If your want to ride during the summer, do not take your bike there. They do not care.
Smells awesome when you walk in the door.A rider who misses being out on his motorcycle drools at this fragrance.The bikes here are positioned far enuf from each other to allow a swingover.The indoor setting of the showroom has an exhibit hall feel about it.I have always liked the country setting there on Rt 30. Lots of open air to take in as you imagine yourself rescuing a bike or recreational vehicle to give a good home.

I recently bought a Sea-Doo Jet ski from Maxim Power Sports. Nick, my salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable. As was Mike the manager. It was a one stop shop all around for me as I live in Illinois and they handled all the paperwork, taxes, registration and filing. No out of state purchasing hassles at all. A+ outfit. Highly recommended.

If you ever decide to go to this place take a tape recorder with you and record everything because they do not stand behind their word at all had a Polaris ranger 900 xp loved it sold to my son went there to buy a new one worst experience ever took my money after they tried to say I was locked into the deal and left went and bought a Honda down the street . Polaris is a great product but this place of business will definitely hurt the good name of Polaris . I even called talked to the manager and told him what the lazy lying salesman had done but he chose to say whatever and didnt care sad that turn one in Plymouth closed down at least they stood behind there deal and so does BandE Honda never have I been so dissatisfied with a dealership than this one Maxim sports in Hobart good luck to anyone that gos their.

My experience with the salesman here was very sub par. Had I known there were other sales staff prior to paperwork starting Id have most certainly asked not to work with mine, or had I thought I would find anything else in the category I sought at the price point I hoped for in a used motorcycle Id had certainly walked away.The person I worked with was smug & arrogant for a much older person who knew nothing about any of the products he was selling and certainly put forth no effort to keep me coming back as a customer for any of their wheeled products or accessories, and I gave him several very clear opportunities. It was even more the knife in my back to make this purchase that the salesperson I worked with doesnt even know how to ride a motorcycle, which shouldnt matter, but he was annoyingly smug during the entire process.All of my girlfriends riding gear will be purchased through other vendors as a result of this experience.Had it not been for the help from the service staff with my ancillary questions, this review wouldnt even get 1 star.

Got brakes now and new tires. Service was very pleasant. Got home, rear tire flat. Didnt even get it out of my truck. Could have told me it wasnt holding air, but excuses were made my machine was buried in the warehouse and its gonna take a minute to find it. Hello! They filled it with air, loaded me up, and sent me on my way. :-). Disappointing. Could have at least been honest. Live and learn.

Customer service was poor I walked around in the building for almost 20 minutes before somebody finally said something to me not a very big selection on accessories either as well as high prices definitely will not go there again

15 years ago I bought a bike from these guys at their old shop. Great experience. The other day I happened to be a couple blocks away when I had a minor issue I was concerned could be unsafe. I was close enough to stop in and did so. I explained what was going on to service, and although they were very busy, they recognized the urgency of my situation and helped me out. They made a customer for life out of me right there.

Great looking bikes, really bad service. I had a wad of cash lookin to make a deal and the refused to haggle even on parts. To top it off a total “stranger” stopped by while I was talking to the salesman telling me how great these Indians are. If I ever get an Indian, it won’t be from here.
I bought a atv and got insurance and the seller was very friendly. but my atv recently had problems and i went to go get it fixed but they told me it didnt cover it and im paying alot and one of the guys there was very mean he raised his voice and it seem like he was trying to humilate me. i recommend to buy from here but i dont recommend the repair shop and also the insurance is very expensive and dont recommend getting it . very bad

Good selection, service department is horrible and over priced. My trike has been there 7 WEEKS !!!!!!! They have not touched it. I call once a week. Its oh still one or two a head of you. Heres a novel idea... hire more certified can am mechanics !

Would never go there again! Bought a four wheeler for our daughter and the gentlemen that sold it to us lied to us about the four wheeler! It doesn’t even come with a helmet that fits her head! They would not give her one that fit!
Stopped in to look at a few bikes they had advertised online. Walked around the store twice. Didnt get a hello, any questions, or can I help you. There were a couple of salespeople with customers but there were some without. Apparently if you go there with your 8yr old daughter. Your business isnt welcomed. Wont go back!

Great variety, slingshot and motorcycles
Found a bike online used of course, beautiful bike. Actually went in and looked at it firsthand. Never not 1 time did a salesperson say hello or even come over and ask if I needed anything. This could be understood if they were busy. Went home thought it over and decided to call and speak to someone. I did went back on website and did financing app. Honestly wasnt really thinking i would get financed being just out of bk a year. BUT Dude be honest dont give me or anyone the run around about not getting financed through your credit unions and fn lie about sending it over to your other option lender. I have spoken with them several times and gone there personally and YOU Nick never sent the info over. Never do business with you or maxim ever. And this is review is being posted on fb for all to see. Maxim Powersports Respected honest dealer my ass.

Called Bob in parts department on a part (speed sensor ) for my sea doo and he confirmed what I had read online. Discontinued! He says hold on and he comes back and says I can get you one, the part # has changed. He went the extra distance and I had him order it. I go into shop to remove old one and it was most likely a poor connection at plug. Will know for sure when sea trial but works fine on compressed air. Called him back and asked if it was to late to cancel order and if not I would still take it. He said no problem and thanked me for calling back and said if I need it just let him know!
The Indian Sport is a beautiful bike at a fair price.
I was in the market for a polaris slingshot these guys told me that they are selling them at list price or $1000 over list price they were extremely rude terrible customer service so i bought my slingshot from a dealer in laffeyette indiana for a great price! Now i take it to maxims for service and i truly have to find another service department cause after giving these guys a second chance they failed me again i took my slingshot in for service they asked if i was leaving it i said yes thinking i would hear something from them in a day or two nobody called me or even had the common decency to let me know that i was on a week and a half waiting list before they could even look at it! Bad place of business all the way around!

I want to start by stating I am a younger male and I understand that many customers my age (20) probably just look instead of purchasing but not a single salesman would help me! I had to hunt down a man named Chad to help me. He was curteous and helpful but when I came back to pick up my bike the rest of the staff (except Chad/mike) were incredibly rude and not helpful at all. I spent maybe 15 minutes strapping down my new motorcycle (because no one would help me but thats fine maybe a liability issue) but when I asked if I was cleared to leave or if I had to sign saying I picked up the bike I was told: your fine just leave so my guys can go back to work. I just spent a large sum of money with you all and your going to treat me like Garbage?... This place had possibly the least friendly/helpful staff working there that I have ever met. Im frankly insulted and I recommend you stay farrrrrrr away from this poor excuse for a business! Take your business elsewheren

Order lugs for for my sons quad on a monday said they would be in by weds or thurs called on weds they were not in called on friday was told that the new guy forgot to order them had to miss a race now they are finally in and i still have to call them to see if they were. not happy at all
So I had a write up from a dealer in Ohio for a 12 ZX10R NEW with extended warranty (no delivery tho) for 11,7XX.XX......i brought this to them to see how theyd compete. they wouldnt even play ball and the snide salesman figuratively put on his sunglasses (picture david caruso). real a$$holes and bad attitudes detected. that ohio dealer however ended up getting ninja 1000s and NOT zx10rs, so i found one (2013 WITH ABS!!) in Wisconsin from a BMW/Triumph dealer for $10,050 out the door used with 594 miles LOL. dont buy here, be patient and shop around. these guys arent eager to sell. and remember, theyre sitting on inventory, youre sitting on cash.
