What a refreshing experience. A knowledgeable and friendly advisor who actually does what he says hes going to do! Ordered custom parts, tracked their delivery, called me when they came in and installed while I waited. Very highly recommended and appreciated.

Great bike shop, great service and real fine people.

Took bike in for a tuneup($90.00) and explained that I had an issue with my gears.Absolutely nothing done except opening the brakes 2 mil., 1 minute job. I adjusted the derailleur myself. The chain wasnt even lubricated. So what was done?

I got the chance to go inside and talk to the staff. Honestly this store is great, the staff service was amazing. They were honest with us and answered all our questions in-depth. I definitely recommend giving it a visit if youre youre looking for a bike.

The only place I know where if i drop off my bike for a good tune up one day, i can pick it up the next. The guys are really friendly. Seem to be honest and have always done an EXCELLENT job when working on my Mountain Bike.Prices are reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend this place to ANYONE who is looking for help buying or maintaining their bike. I have a high end full suspension bike that i got on the west coast. It now has a great local caregiver. They are knowledgeable on trails and always ready to share their knowledge with you.Bottom line - they are riders and understand YOUR needs!

Excellent experience! I bought my first Bianchi Infinito CV Disc Ultegra Road Bike from A1 Cycle Center. I have been wanting to purchase this bike for over a year but put it off because I had bad experiences at the local bike shops - I felt intimidated and condescended upon. From the moment I set foot at A1 Cycle Center, I felt welcomed by all staff members. Everyone at A1 Cycle Center surpassed my expectations - my overall experience was very pleasant, easy, educational and yes…. Fun! The shop owner and staff took the time to discuss the Bianchi and gave me other brand options to help me make a decision that best suited my riding ability and style. I decided on the Bianchi. This is the best experience I have ever had in a bike shop!!!! I never felt intimidated as the staff is very knowledgeable, passionate, professional and friendly. When my bike arrived, the staff took the time to go over all the Bianchi features and connected me with other female cyclists in the Bianchi community. I live in Illinois – about 65 miles away – and, yes, A1 Cycle Center will be my new “local” bike shop for all my cycling needs. It is worth the trip. Probably the best bike shop in Northwest Indiana for service. The staff are professional and up to date on the newest bike technology. So, if you are a bike enthusiast or just a casual rider they can help you resolve any service issues or requests. Also, If you are looking for a new saddle they can even measure your size with a machine that reads your pressure points along with other bike fitting help.As far as whats for sale, its a smaller shop and most of the bikes and items are Specialized brand. They also carry items from Topeak bags and Kryptonite Locks for example. Basically, they have affordable options and high end options but they could expand whats on the shelves.

The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. The store is well organized and clean. I would definitely recommend this bike shop to family and friends.
