Distinctly one of the most profoundly unprofessional guitar centers I’ve visited to date. As I’m standing at the checkout line for roughly 45 minutes, my guitar selling experience was none other than extremely unsatisfactory and stressful and I can really only attribute this to really one person, Brendon. This man could have rectified my situation in less than 10 minutes if that but instead, I was invited on a merry-go-round trip of stupidity with a game of semantics. Have fun reading this because hopefully this touches one person and creates a chain effect of this store hiring valuable employees, I’ll be laughing then.

Looking for a fender 12, villager owned a maple fender 12 in the past.still copying and learning new licks.need to go in.

I went in with a friend who was a beginner looking for a used acoustic guitar. Someone waited on us in less than a minute. He showed us two guitars that were in our price range and answered all of our questions. He couldnt have been more helpful. We bought a guitar and he offered an extended warranty and explained Guitar Center lessons. Overall satisfied with every part of the sale. Five stars!

Every time that we have been in there it has been absolutely awesome! The lady that helped me today literally dug, and dug for the music that I want it. She wasnt going to give up for me to find the perfect gift for my daughter and she did :-) I appreciate that type of service anywhere I go, but the vibe in there is just so chill.

Bought a floor model bass cabinet through Musicians Friend. Amanda and Brendan were extremely helpful and professional. They went above and beyond, emailing pictures, getting a special shipping company because of the size, etc. Cabinet arrived today in the condition described. No secret damage, shipped through a really great company, zero shipping damage. My only complaint? I wish my local Guitar Center in PA was half as great as these people! Would deal with them again, anytime. Thank you so much.

Absolutely great!!! Talked to Brendan on phone and Jake waited on me when I made my purchase. They know their stuff and were amazing. Did not get upset because of time I took. Suggested a better product which I am glad I purchase. Am thrilled!!! When we had to call with a question about the tuner the girl was also wonderful. The BEST!!!!!

While I personally havent visited this particular Guitar Center franchise that often, my older brother - an amazing bassist taught by some of South Suburban Chicagolands finest teachers - keep his bass movin and groovin! Cant wait to be able to meet more of the staff myself, I might be needing a new, Shure Beta 57A mic soon...

This guitar center has fantastic service! Special thanks to Brandon for all his help! They have been helping me since about 2007. Whether its selling used gear, purchasing a new instrument, testing out new pedals or amps, they have always been knowledgeable, patient and courteous. Not one complaint here. Im a forever customer!

The electricity was out when I went there and I drove all the way from Michigan 5 hours away to visit my friend and I really really needed a monitor and some chords. They let me go to the ATM and pay cash for it they really worked with me and I will never forget that. Very awesome staff thank you guys so much

Staff was all super friendly and very helpful. I interacted with 3 team members while I was there, and all were fantastic. They answered my questions without trying to upsell me or sell me something that was more than I said I was shopping for. I felt like the answers were honest and what that person would have told a family member.

Love the place. But I was a little upset. I brought my guitar to get looked at and my strings got changed for cheaper ones without my permission. Guitar is still not right

I bought a Fender American Professional II series from here on 01/04/21 and even thought the 1st and 6th string action was completely jacked up with the bridge saddles slammed and off kilter to give the impression that the guitar was junk, I knew that it was a simple fix and bought it anyway. I suspect that a store employee had their eyes on this smokin beast of a guitar and wanted to ensure that no one would buy it after playing it in such an unplayable condition so they might have it for themselves. I simply cannot believe that Fender would let this guitar leave their factory with the action on only two strings completely unplayable while the others are perfect. BUYER BEWARE of typical GC BS!!!

Never been here before, but was led here. I found the drumming section AMAZING! They have a wide selection you get to play all of them! I really enjoyed the experience and the staff was very helpful! I found a set of drums and took them home but having played them before. We just resonated with each other!

Terrible customer service, the employees do not greet you. They do not ask if you need any assistance after hours of waiting. Racial discrimination against black customers. Would never recommend anyone to shop here or buy products from them.

I’ve been coming into this store since it was first opened. I have bought so much stuff here it’s ridiculous. Today I was told I cannot return a cable that I have been returning here for quite some time. Truly disgusting performance GC. MY monster cables are tried and true, until they go out. I have been coming into THIS GC to exchange them for years .... today I was told that they do not exchange them anymore. And the time that they stopped was 3 years ago ..... what a lie. I returned one last year. I hate being lied to. I will never step foot in here again. I will spread this info to every musician that I know. YOUR A BUNCH OF LIARS !!!!!! Brendan is the MGMT who lied to me.

I walked in, nobody greeted. Start walking through the store to try to find vinyl. No one spoke to me. Finally employee was walking by I asked him where the vinyl pointed was so its over here. I stated I would have never found these, he walked to the rack, turned walked away. I was looking thru them, two employees walked back. I waited about 5-10 minutes, I had a couple questions. No one spoke to me so I left.

Well ill give this particular store five stars anyway. Given the circumstances of the situation they were able to at least put my guitar in a playable state after being completely jipped on a purchase from another store. but these guys here were pretty great at helping me out. and getting things in working order so im very appreciative of that. the guitar tech is nice and did an awesome job setting my guitar up. ill definitely be bringing a few of my other guitars in here to get them fixed up.

Not a ton of bass inventory, but adequate otherwise..prices about what you would expect..staff was attentive...enjoy the days of brick and mortar..they may not be around in the future..

Employees are always friendly and willing to help when asked even if they seem busy. Liked the new quiet rooms they have, think they offer lessons too. Really convenient that there are guitars you can grab and play and amps set up. Definitely will visit this Guitar Center again.

Update: Left this place - went to a locally owned store nearby instead, and spent nearly $975. Discrimination at its best. Take your money to a local music store and support a local family instead of a money hungry company. This is a company that clearly has not done their research on this virus. For a virus that has a higher survival rate (lower fatality rate) than that of me getting out on the highway in front of this store, it is unacceptable to demand that your guests and customers be required to wear a mask. If the state is mandating it, that’s one thing, but for a local location to demand it when it is not a policy handed down by officials, that’s an entirely different thing. For those who have non-contagious respiratory issues that are exasperated by a mask, this puts their lives in danger and it is a direct discrimination of those persons to turn them away as such. Do yourself a favor and support the local music shops in the area instead. This company has too much money and they don’t really need your business evidently. The mere fact that there are mass gatherings of people closer than 6ft apart and wearing no masks during all of this rioting and protesting... and this store is still demanding people wait in line outside to be ushered in and only then so long as they have a mask, something is not making sense. Take your money to the local music shops - this one is likely getting government funding for imposing such drastic and draconian measures. Three months after virus season. Not impressed. Extremely disappointed. This location is an hours drive for me, all to be turned away at the door. There is a good place that’s ten times better - 2-3 hrs away, but it is worth the drive for me. I will be taking my money there tomorrow. I was planning on buying band equipment today, not here...There are tons of other stores not requiring a line to get in and masks for entry - take your money elsewhere.

Bought a used Yamaha keyboard online (from Kentucky). Came in perfect shape, and the group here treated me like gold. They know their stuff, and take pride in what they sell. Ive used the instrument I bought to take on the road, and its amazing. These are artists who know their stuff. I bought used from another state that shipped to them, and I was treated like a king. The product and staff were amazing! No question. Shop here.

Exciting place! For artist or inspiring Artist. Our family took a homeschool trip & loved our time. The staff was friendly. Our children played multiple instruments. Great time!

Great stock of guitars at this location. This is one of the bigger Guitar Center Stores I have been in. Still a corporate music store, still has stupid hours in regard to the working musicians. Never a big fan of these stores, but sometimes you can play a sweet guitar at this location. They had 4 Gibson acoustics and a few Martins as well as some Taylors. The acoustic room is solid.

Bought a lot of stuff here in the past. Everyone seems to be very knowledgeable about music and instruments. Had my first formal guitar lesson today. Interesting.

Pathetic service, locked guitars. Noone around. I intended to spend betwixt 4 and 5 k. Customer service is non existent these days. U might as well close up shop. Why drive to a place if u cant strum the guitars. Unbelievable!!!!! Good Luck

I took my son into this location to purchase a guitar. Not one sales associate bothered to assist. They never asked if we needed help or had any questions. The store had just opened for the day so it wasnt busy. This is not the first time that we had this experience in this store. Unfortunately it is the only guitar center nearby, but we will not be returning. We did not feel welcome and never do. The difference this time is that my son had to leave without the guitar he has wanted for a long time, because we were made to feel like we didnt belong.

Honestly, I used to love going to music stores. I went to drum dept. No one was there to help, I had to assist myself. They have hardly any stuff. Then headed to pro audio and they guy tells me their credit card system was down and Walked away. I just go because there isnt another store near me!.....

Very friendly staff. Went in this time to sell some old equipment. Probably not the best payout out there but it was good for fast cash which happened to be what I needed. However I do frequent this particular guitar center and it has a fair selection of a lot of different instruments and equipment, as well as instructional books and videos. Havent had a negative experience there yet

This place is really cool. We were warmly greeted as we walked in. We were allowed to browse without being supervised and when we needed help the owner was extremely helpful and gracious. The guitar we bought was priced right and we werent pressured to buy additional products. Five star rating earned.

Staff is friendly and helpful. You can also take lessons here. I believe they will price match as well...not totally certain on that though...but support local stores and stop in this music shop today!

Staff was super helpful over the phone and in person. They also have a nice selection of acoustic instruments. I bought a ukulele and it was as expected.

Came in twice to test out a synthesizer I was interested in. First time the guy couldn’t find the power cable so told me to come back. Came back and the lady they had at the desk completely blew me off because it “wasn’t her department” and made absolutely no effort to find out for me. She was incredibly rude. Worst customer service I’ve had and you guys just potentially lost a $600 sale.

I called and asked about swapping some of my bass drum pedals for some used pedals. He said, come on in and well see what we can do. I drove 13 miles. They didnt have any used pedals! Then they offered me peanuts for my stuff. Theyll tell you anything to get you in the store. Thats my opinion.This is my last visit to Guitar Center.

SUPER helpful staff took the time to answer ALL our questions patiently. We ended up finding the same guitar in the preowned section, which saved us $400 bucks over the new guitar. Score! Highly recommended!

The guys in your DJ equipment department are great guys with alot of knowledge. I had issues with my DJ equipment. I brought it in and they took the time to figure what was wrong. This place told me to purchase something online and pick up in store last week. So I did $198 worth of stuff I needed because due too covid-19 I havent had many gigs. I finally get a gig so I go purchase some last minute things I needed. Now they are saying the things got sent to my house and they dont know why. Now some of the things are lost and their answer is you can come buy it now were open. I havent had gigs. Why would you think I can come in and spend another $40/$50 on equipment I already paid for once? Keep my stuff keep my cash Im going to sweetwater. Save your money people go to sweetwater and be treated with decency.

I had an amazing time at this store! As soon as I walked in someone helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I ended up finding a really nice ukulele and buying a capo. Thank you for great service guitar center!

The employees put up with my extreme indecisiveness. After an hour I was down to choosing one of two guitars. I played them for another hour. Made a choice. Returned two days later bc I made the wrong choice. They took the guitar back. I went and bought the other one, luckily it was still there. They were polite the entire time and never ever rushed my decision. They also answered all my questions.

The staff here are super knowledgeable and generally pretty solid people. Ive sold and bought a great deal of both used and new gear, and these guys never let me down. A great source of information and they always help me out when Ive got questions / am looking for a piece of gear. Definitely one of the better guitar centers Ive been to, if not the best as far as staff goes.
