Never knew about this place until it popped up on my Google Maps Explore tab. What an awesome little coffee shop with plentiful seating, pop-culture inspired drinks, and friendly staff. They also have a trivia question that changes to get a 25¢ discount off your drink. Fun!

This is hands-down my favorite coffee shop! Its my first stop every morning. The baristas always help me star my morning of with a cheerful smile and the coffee is Amazing! They know coffee and come up with some very creative latte combinations. Most mornings I just ask them to make me something and its always amazing! ☺

The staff are friendly and fast . My favorite drink is mango tango . They have a card pay 10 times after that one free drink 🍹.

Best caramel macchiato I have ever had in my life ; no one can do it better than their barista ( the tall guy who wears small hat ) . I really miss those days when I was a second language student there 💔

Its such a nice place to relax after classes. They always have really nice music playing. Their coffees are generally on the sweet side Ive noticed, in case youre not a fan of sweet stuff. Everything is very well made tho

Good place to get a snack, some coffee, tea, or bottled drinks. They have computers to borrow or plugs to set up your own device. Small space but welcoming. New student art on the walls.

Always looking for a great non-chain coffee bar and they did not disappoint! My first thought was oh no this wont be good being on a college campus but they knocked it out of the park! I will be back again!

This place is awesome. Good atmosphere, positive environment, a plethora of drinks to choose from, and plenty of snacks and brain food. Bianca and the rest of the staff are always so friendly and upbeat. I stop by any time Im able to for a nice pick-me-up

Great campus coffee shop located at MCC. Great coffee, cool staff. Definitely a cozy feeling coffee shop with a variety of drink options. I even stop by here when Im off work because the coffee is that great. Try their Black and White.

I LOVE their mocha here. I originally had their drinks at the Chandler-Gilbert location, but the Mesa location is closer to me. I dont know what they do differently, but I literally drive 15 min out of my way to get a mocha here. Better than any Starbucks, and the people there are always friendly.If youre not an MCC student, you can park in the visitor parking off of Library Way.

Great little coffee place inside the library at MCC. Mostly beverages, including shakes, but there are some small snack food options as well. A nice place to grab something to go or to sit and relax. I recommend The Sedona (soy, honey, cinnamon... cant go wrong!).

Great place to just relax and enjoy the serenity. Flowers are beautiful. Plenty of benches to sit. The only thing I would want more of is some shade trees.

Best service ever, everyone is really sweet and they have a decent selection of both coffee and food, from snack to sandwiches. They also use maya chai which is the best.

Bianca is AMAZING, and all the staff are cheerful and friendly! The coffee is great, and the service is better! Bonus points for Biancas nerd menu 👍

Grounds for Thought provides todays collegiate population with the necessary caffeinted courage to thrive in the intellectual environment of tomorrow.

I get this as a treat since it is pretty pricey (around $4+) although they do have a stamp card so make sure to get one of those. You can get a free drink of your choice once you get all the stamps. Ive tried their iced teas which they make for you. Takes a bit longer, but the berry one is A+ if you dont drink coffee.

My favorite coffee place to go near/on MCC Campus. The people are always really nice, the owner is a really hard worker (which is 5 stars by itself), and they have the best selection for everyone.

Once a week, before my math class, I usually get the banana bread & the(I think its called fizbarry drink, not sure,), w/ a shot of brainbooster, and just kick back, relax, listen to some cool tunes that they have playing, and catch up on homework(or whatever).The prices are some-what decent, the environment is laid back and relaxed. All in all, I enjoy going there once a week to kick back and unwind a little before class.

This is not a public business in some stripmall its a community college shop. Its not available easily to non community college students at least because of the parking and its not clear from the outside what building this shop is even located.While this doesnt reflect the quality of the coffee, I put a low rating so that someone looking for a reason not to go here will find these important details that the other reviews dont mention. It also explains the almost universal good reviews imo

The place is so cozy .. the music they have is so relaxing for some reason ... the staff are SO friendly and awesome .. the coffee that I got is delicious ...Its my first time being here .. and Im sure it wont be the last.Thank you Grounds For Thought . I loved it!

I have friends who work there and have a great time talking one another.

Its pretty great for convenience sake but because of the location it can get real busy in between classes. I still recommend going the staff are very nice and their drinks are great too.

So there are 2 at mcc, one by the library and the other by the cafeteria. The one near the library has a wider variety of food choices to pick from and both have drink options.

Coffee experience like no other! I can tell that your money is worth here! Take my word for it! You wont get dissatisfied.

Cheap and brewed well. Good blends, like Yirgacheffe. Nice staff. Its inside MCC campus, but theres enough free parking. Shop plays oldies, but with your headphones on its not too loud.

The lady sets my coffee at theind of the counter right before I go to my communication class so I can get it easier because I am in a Power-Chair

Without a doubt one of the best coffee shops in the valley--well, and that Ive ever been too, period. Probably spent over $1,000 already while taking classes at MCC over the past year, and I always get the iced Espresso Patronum (any Harry Potter fans out there?), which is my #1 favorite coffee beverage of all time.If Harry Potter isnt your thing, Grounds for Thought actually has a full movie-and-book themed menu, including a Star Wars milkshake and a Lord of the Rings smoothie. Nothings too expensive either: all drinks run about $4 on average, and nothing is over $5 unless you opt for the 32 ounce size.Did I mention theyre locally and family owned? If that doesnt take the cake (yep, they also have pastries, burritos--even a sushi box), then Im not sure what will.P.S. They should be paying me for this review but I love them so much I dont mind writing an essay here--even though I should be working on finals right now. . .whoops.
