What a superb shop! The most friendly and informational and unbiased retail experience there is. I was able to get all the products and knowledge I was seeking and Brandon went above and beyond with his plethora of scuba insight. Thanks to the whole team for doing diving the right way.

Starting on a positive note. They are very nice and helpful.Now to the negative. I brought two tanks for visuals to them. I got called out to a job (I’m a commercial diver). I called and asked if they could get the visuals done the next day. They said yes. Went out on my job and the one bottle I used that day had a leak at the steam. Brought the bottles to a different scuba shop. They unscrewed the valve and showed me that the O-ring and sealing surface was not cleaned or replaced. Such an easy $20 job that was not done by El Mar. Very disappointed in their work. I would not recommend them.

Best scuba shop in the valley. I’ve been to many shops, Del Mar customer service is outstanding! Product selection is the largest I’ve seen and the best prices. I will only use Del Mar for all my scuba needs.

I am almost done with my open water certification and i feel compelled to let everyone know just how amazing the instructors are. Paul & Don are incredible. So, so, patient and just so kind. They made me feel really comfortable and took the time to answer any questions I had and encouraged me to repeat any exercise i might’ve not understood until I got it. They just care. I am honestly going to miss them once I’m done. I have really enjoyed myself.Tonya and the rest of the team at the dive shop are super welcoming too.

I picked up a new set of scuba fins and booties. I just happened to be passing by and decided to stop. One of the employees sat down with me and got me fitted. Even though I kind of knew what I wanted he took the time and sat down with me to explain the subtle difference between fins. They had a pretty good selection of used equipment; however, I chose to go with new.Even though the Fins were on sale they were the same price as ordering them off Amazon. com. This is one of those things for you have to try it on and person, and shop local. Yes you can send it back if it doesnt fit but a brick and mortar dive shop is important because they have the experience to answer technical questions and ask probing questions to get you the right fit.One thing I thought was pretty cool is they have a local Lake clean up. I definitely appreciate this culture of being stewards to the Earth.

They have everything for you to have fun underwater. They teach, you can get your gear there to plus more. They are friendly and knowledgeable in all that you need. I do recommend to anybody that wants to have fun underwater.

Ive almost completed my Open Water Diver Certification. This was my first time trying SCUBA and EL MAR ROCKS! Tonia has been very accommodating and made getting started so easy. They have a vast selection of gear and are running a great sale this December. I bought and tried out a mask that didnt quite fit right and Tonia made it easy to swapped out and get me the correct fit with no hassle. Paul and Cheryl are wonderful instructors and I feel confident in the SSI education and training Im receiving. Cant wait to join the El Mar group on one of their many group diving trips!

Couldnt recommend a better group of people to earn a scuba certification with. My brother, father, and I did classes in their heated pools then went to San Carlos, Mexico in a group trip to finish my open water certification. Looking forward to coming back for more classes like underwater photography 📷

This place is the best. I have been going to Elmar for years. Great instructors and couldn’t be happier with their repair shop. I haven’t dove in a couple years and wanted to get all my gear checked out before getting back into the water again. The price for the inspection and repair service was very reasonable.

Just returned from a trip with the crew from El Mar. They head south to their San Carlo location several times a year by bus. This trip is their go to warm water ocean diving place and a good choice. The crew that accompanied us was knowledge, experienced, friendly and fun.Designed to be an affordable trip for local divers, having flown in from the east coast to check it out, I was welcomed as a regular.I would recommend El Mar Diving Center and this trip to all levels of recreational divers. Looking at my calendar now to see how I can fit a return trip next year. Thanks for a great experience.

What a cool store! Theyve got everything you could ever want or need for snorkeling or scuba diving. If they dont have it, they can order it or point you in the right direction. They will help fit you with the correct sizes of items. Try things on right there. You can sign up to learn to dive. Friendly staff. We come back every time we need something swim related.

El Mar is the best dive shop in Arizona! I took an SSI Freediving course with Tonia in San Carlos and it was the most fun and challenging experience Ive ever had. Looking forward to starting some technical diving courses with them and love the friendly family type atmosphere Gene and Tonia Foster have created.

Everyone there is very professional and knows exactly what they can do for your needs .... I I have been diver for about 15 years I have recently introduced my children into diving and they have been extremely helpful with their training program as well as equipment..... They are not out to try and sell you the top notch equipment if not needed ... But they are very honest and open about what your needs are an adapter that so very eloquently. I have been a customer for over a decade and this is the first time that Ive written a review because I dont normally do that so I would just like for anyone whos reading list under stand this is the place this is the place you need to go to. .... Very unhappy. I have a regulator not working. I went in to ask advice, or buy anotherone. The tech wss rude and did not eve bother to try to help.
