This place used to be the best..Me and my friends used to go every week. They had a lot of different flavors..But now it seems for months you are lucky to find two flavors that they carry. This very cute place sure has gone down hill fast. My friends and I won’t be going there anymore.

I’m new to the area, and it looked like a great place to get some dessert, so I drove there to check it out. When I walked in at 7:25 they told me they were closed (they close at 8:00) because business has been slow that day (8/17/21). Which is fine… except that I don’t know when the next slow day is going to be so I can no longer trust that if I make the drive, they’ll be open.As they practically shewed me out the door I thought to myself “this place might be fantastic, but I’ll never know, because I’m not likely coming back”.

My favorite place for a healthy snack, you can go all out here without the guilt! My favorite item is the day starter protein shake. Its perfect for if you skipped breakfast. Staff is always friendly and there to help you out.

This was, hands down, the best sorbet that both my husband and I have ever tasted. You know the sense you get when you know that your eating really good organic food? Well, this was absolutely that feeling multiplied by ten!We are vegans and know that it is possible to eat good food and still have it be good for you. Let me just say, wow, I am blown away with just how tasty this dessert was. We both had a couple of scoops of fresh sorbet. My guy had guava and mango and I had the passion fruit and mango flavors.We also shared a slice of the vegan banana nut bread. It was all so very good right to the last bite. The servers behind the counter were super helpful and very friendly and we could not be more impressed. We are definitely going to make this place our dessert destination for sure!

Placed an order. Arrived and waited 15 minutes only to get a text that my oder was cancelled. No phone call. No explanation. Horrible customer service when I called to find out why they just said no one was in the store when I placed my order so they just decided to cancel it. No offer to make it now or any kind of explanation. Will not go back.

SO amazing. I love the Sunrise Acai Bowl and the Black Bean Brownie! Staff is always kind and accommodating. Gelato flavors have cut back recently but thats OK because theres SO MANY great things to try here, even limited time items! Ive got my eye on the Day Starter Protein Booster next :)

So delicious, always satisfied when I come here. Black bean brownies (gluten free and organic) and acai bowl are a must try. So many vegan, dairy free, and gluten free options as well!!

I found this place on accident when I was early for a doctor appointment. I was gonna get coffee next door but something said I needed to go here. Im glad I did. So, Ive tried every vegan donut in the valley. Most are super dense and dripping with grease. Hive 48s werent. They were yeasty, fluffy and sugary like a donut should be. My fave by far. I also had a yummy acai bowl and a shot of espresso. Both also yummy but the donut was the highlight. 🍩

The sour cherry brownie shake was delicious! Not heavy at all, and subtle sweetness, letting the sour cherry be extra tasty. The cranberry orange scone was crumbly and fluffy and super fresh!

Went for the vegan options (thank god for vegan donuts), sorbet and gelato options are awesome tasting. Have gone twice a few weeks apart and both times the donuts I bought were incredibly stale and dry. The icing and toppings literally just crumble and fall off after taking a bite because of how dry they are. Love the vegan options but not my favorite quality for the price (~$3/donut at this time) 🙁

There weren’t any gluten free options, unless you count sorbet which is always gluten free. So I think the name on google and the way it portrayed should be changed, to something more truthful.

Brought my kids and my husband in yesterday for gelato and sweets. The lady was so nice and very kind! The store was very neat, clean, and modern. It would be a lovely place for a girls brunch or breakfast. The gelato was amazing but the PASTRIES!!! The chocolate cherry fritter is a must try. Yum!

Hi! I read the reviews before I came and was hesitant because of the mixed reviews. I went around 4 pm and there was no wait, I was welcomed immediately. I was gladly surprised, and yes it’s overpriced but what small business now a days isn’t? They made it through the pandemic and have an all female staff as well! The employee was extremely patient and offered me samples and to customize almost everything on the menu which most places won’t. The store was clean and aesthetically pleasing! It’s a great little place to have so close to home that alternates their gelato and pastries often:)

I was about to place an order for the vegan Banana bread and then I scroll down to see the ingredients and there’s eggs in it. Which makes the bread not vegan. Make sure you double check if it’s vegan. I’m afraid to order the vegan donut now. They should update the menu. Very misleading.

This place has amazing food and amazing staff members! They’re all so kind and very helpful. The service here is great, not to mention there are plenty of different options to choose from on their menu. Their food is customizable to your liking and needs, which is great! There are also many vegan and gluten free options available too. Hive48 has everything you can imagine from pastries, gelato, smoothies, shakes, donuts, to açaí bowls. I always love stopping by Hive48 for a treat. If you’ve never tried them before, I recommend you check them out. They are one of my go to places for dessert here in the East Valley. :)

Unfortunately our experience with Hive48 has been disappointing. Some of the staff has been extremely helpful but a couple of them have been outright rude. Three times weve gone for a particular item and it was not available. It happens, as popular items go fast, but this last time we were assured itd be available over the weekend. Guess what? Nope. Had to interupt someone messing with a machine of some kind to inquire and was told, Well if its not in the case we dont have it. Ok. Sorry to have bothered you..Well look for another place to purchase healthy treats.

To be honest, very average place and overpriced. Service was great, but I had the gluten free brownie ($4) and 2 scoops of the gelato ice cream ($2.60 per scoop) and all of it was just very average. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Cute and cozy spot for Docs Gelato Artisan Ice Cream on a date night. Staff is very friendly. The place is new but they still keep it really clean. Nice spot to grab a break from the Arizona heat. Couple of healthy options they have teamed up.

Ordered the Grand Marnier Mascarpone, it had no flavor. Was a big disappointment! The two other pints were orange carrot ginger and coconut limon grass, both were lacking in flavor. I expected more considering the cost. Definitely not worth the time!

This place may be too hip for East Mesa. Great dessert options including gluten-free and vegan.

This place is super cute and the first time I went there it was a great experience. This time a coworker went to go get us açaí bowls since we haven’t tried them and finally have a place who makes them close by. We got three and the gentlemen didn’t tell us they had no granola until after he already made all three of them. Of course we will pay for it because we still took it. But they are extremely soupy and just thrown into the container. Super disappointed.

Great customer service ! They’re all so nice ! Especially Marissa I think her name was . I went for some ice cream and she was such a sweet little girl . Their food is delicious !

The place looked nice and had a big menu, so I thought it would be good. I was very wrong. There was only one employee there, and he was already working on another order for someone who ordered online. So we had to wait 45 minutes for him to finish. We finally got our stuff, which was affogattos and cake pops. The gelato had ice on it, which was pretty bad. The espresso was ok. The cake pops were incredibly bland, and were $3.50 per pop! The affogato only had one scoop, but the scoops were really small. They were $6 which is a horrible deal for the amount you get. Anyways, food was overpriced, and just ok. The wait was insane and not worth the food.

Highly recommend. The ice cream is so good, youll want more. And I like to support small businesses!

Excellent selection and great quality. Really nice to have a place like this instead of another generic franchise.

Usually when I go here I get great service but tonight was awful the young girl working scooped my ice cream into a container but did not want to give me a lid so that my ice cream wouldn’t spill in my car, she acted as if I had done something wrong by asking her for a lid, she still didn’t give me a real lid only a lid meant to go on a cup this resulted in the ice cream spilling in my car. Please train this girl until then I won’t be back.

Their gelato is delicious and fairly priced. The pastries arent bad either.
