This store is absolutely falling apart. Their stuff above the shelves is stacked so dangerously high I felt endegared just walking past it. The aisles were a mess and looked like they hadnt been touched in several weeks. The two employees I was able to find were too busy on their phones to assist anyone. They also had several pallets of freight and trash just sitting at the front! Its a shame to see this store go downhill so fast from a change in management.

Great selection of craft items, and inside framing area seems to have plenty of business. I actually enjoy being allowed to explore without having someone constantly asking me if I need help, because my planned projects change once I see all the awesome items around me and I get creative, and thats been my experience here; however, they have plenty of staff around so that when I do need assistance they are readily available. Overall I have had great visits. The wait time can get lengthy at checkout as at any craft store since most customers purchase multiple small craft items and have questions about the products and their prices at the register, so its standard wait. Pretty standard michaels, a little bit of everything, meaning nothing super in depth. Focus heavily in seasonal decor, and usually alwYs have sales.

Helpful staff! Clerk at register was able to help me with an item I was having trouble with on clearance! Jacqueline came over to assist and was very sweet and understanding!

Michaels was okay. It was very well stocked but as usual the employees didnt know anything about what I was there for couldnt help me but at least he did try to find someone who could or would and was unable to so he came and tried himself to help. The whole trip was basically unsuccessful but I can say the embedded try to help me as best he could.

This is the worst Michaels lately, the management is a joke. The guy was screaming and cussing at the cashiers while there was a long line. I cant imagine how a grown man could treat kids like that. I asked for help and noone knows anything. The website says they are out of everything and they arent or says they have it and they dont. I havent had a good experience at this store in months.

First time at this Mesquite location. Very nice store, clean and a lot of space. I go to Michaels for my oil paints and canvas. And they have good coupons all the time to bring the cost down. Oils are pretty expensive so they help a lot. Awesome craft store.

Cashier service was excellent. We went to the North Town East boulevard mesquite Texas location. It was very difficult to find a staff member for help their prices are difficult to read if there are any prices on their items at all! Store was not that neat or clean and had no pizzazz to their arrangements just saying. Their paint product prices are higher than most other stores. Ill continue to go to hobby lobby as my first choice. However they dont really have good paint selection. an asset to Michaels is they carry the brands of craft paints I like and especially the colors that I like. Store seems to be understaffed definitely.

Nice store. It’s a smaller store since they moved locations. However, I still love all the decor they have for Halloween and Fall.

Everything is over priced and cheaply made. The workers are under paid as well.

They had great disconts up to 70% off the regular price. I bought something I needed for my acrylic paintings. They always have great discounts. I recommend it.

I didnt find everything I wanted here due to the fact they were sold out of a few items, and that is the reason for the deduction of a star. I actually prefer this craft store due to the fact it is much much cheaper than hobby lobby. this store also does not try to smother you with their religious message which is nice.

Staff is nice but some of the customers that come in are a bit entitled believing that their time is more important than others. To the old bitty I encountered around 10am, I hope someone gifts you a bag of D**ks for Christmas, better yet look me up and I will gladly send you some! Bless you heart and have a wonderful year

Great art supplies. Very cost effective with sales and couponsBust customer service is atrocious!They had a whole shelf & some artificial flowers in the wrong section so they were supposed to be in sale if you read the sign. They wouldnt honor it.And if you need help finding something, good luck. If you find an employee, they act like your bothering them when you ask for help. Rather but online and pick up. Less hassle but you dont get to ship around and create as leisurely

Staff is so sweet here.

Curbside was easy even though they do not have marked spaces. Friendly service and they do not accept tips. Items were missing and the store did not adjust the payment. Edit:After 3rd contact I did get a refund without going to the store. Its an old and big company. Keep trying and you will reach someone who can resolve your issue. They get one star back.

This is the closest Michaels to me so I continue to go for things I need but the customer service is terrible. This time I asked the cashier about a item she wrung up cause the price didnt look correct on her register she got nasty with me, and said ( this for 2 GOSH up under her voice) I heard her very clear. Not happy with the sevice.

Customer service is non existent in this store. From management down the ladder, if you have an issue theyll multiply it by 10. THIS is why people do not frequent brick and mortar anymore. Also, do not under any circumstance order online to pick up, Amazon is easier and faster. This one star is not even deserving

I hadnt been into MJDESIGNS in, well, years lol. I was shocked by all the little things you could by that I didnt even know I wanted. This stop was to pick up some canvases for a few pieces of wall art that i order online. They were buy one get two essentially free. It was a steal. Ill be going back for some more in a week or so

Good selection. The only drawback is they have the slowest check out of any store I have ever been too. It take at least an hour to get in the store and out with one item.

The customer service was horrendous! The line was very long, with only 2 cashiers. They were handling it pretty good at first, but after taking care of at least 6 people in front of me, when it was my turn one cashier went to wipe buggies and the other cashier,who was a manager, decided the handbaskets had to be put back at that very second. I was not the only person in line. There was another African American woman and a Hispanic man behind me, with other patrons coming. They never said a word...just acted like we were invisible. Then the manager left, leaving one cashier to wait on, now, about 7-10 people. When I requested the manager and asked her about the issue, her excuse was they are required to wipe down after each customer. I had plenty of time to see that it did not occur with the guests ahead of me. Horrible instore experience. I usually order online for pickup. I guess its back to Amazon I go. I have no desire to even utilize their online service, if this is what this company condones.

Did not really like it too much fanfare. The store was not crowded, the cashiers were very slow. Found what I was looking for.

Got there at 6:52pm and they announced we had 6 minutes till close. I had to rush my smart vinyl buy.

Its 2:00pm, and I walked around the store twice to find an associate that could help me. This is the third time Ive visited this store and its been poorly staffed. If you want to open your doors and have consumers come in to spend, the very least you can do is have someone that can assist.

Michaels is a craft addicts crack. It is not hard to spend hours inside Michaels, in fact it is hard not to. So many creations waiting to be crafted. 😳

I went there looking for cross stitch kits, but they had very few, and all were little ones. They didnt even have books with the patterns anymore either.

The last few times Ive been here its gone downhill, Not very helpful in finding items even though you have the item number photos. They point towards the isle direction walk away.

Michael’s is one of those craft and home decor stores that i never walk into, until i got dragged in there by my girlfriend. At first the store seemed like any store, boring, not so interesting to me. But as i went deeper into the store there were so many cool different things to look at, decorate with, and craft with. Now i wont get upset if i have to walk in there again. if you want to decorate your home i recommend you to check out a Michael’s first and i assure you wont walk out the store empty handed .The cutest detail that I personally liked when i walked in Michael’s was that during pride month the store had many LGBT flags, and i thought it was a very nice way to for them to say that they are accepting of loving whoever you want.

Lines are long as heck in the afternoon and weekends with only one cashier most of the time. I suggest ordering what you need online and doing in store pickup.

Store has changed in the arts section but great overall.

Every week they have a different coupon policy. Had to call corporate to tell on them. They should be price matching. Call if they dont. Got a free gift card out of it.

I like Michaels, I just wish that had more actual art tools. Not just hobby and craft stuff. Try finding a ceramic precision cutter, or a dremmel... you’ll see what I mean. Buy they have good things and this location has decent customer service. 🥳

This is a very busy Michaels location. I see a ton of reviews saying that it’s always understaffed, as someone who has worked in retail before and has experience, some companies only give out a set about of hours and it depends on how much money the store makes to get more hours. The store is probably a mess most of the time because customers put back items wherever they want, and not on the correct shelves. And if you can’t ever find someone on the floor, the employees have online/curbside orders to do, assisting other customers and putting away items that don’t belong and trying to clean the store. I hope this review really makes you think about how hard they all work, especially during this rough time.

Good location, but they never have a fully stocked crafting section. I always have to drive to the next town in Rockwall, TX.

The online ordering and pick was a nightmare. I ordered my stuff on Saturday they had it ready five days later. When I went to pick it up the lady on the phone just ask for my name and what was I driving. She didn’t even want my order number and didn’t even asked me. It took 45 minutes to pick up my order at curb side. What a hassle I never had this problem before. It usually take one hour to order and pick up not 5days and 45 minutes wait.

Had a sale. Kids loved it. Always a good place to go.

Very clean store with a nice chill atmosphere. The employees were friendly, and helpful. The selection is always good. We got exactly what we needed for a fantastic Halloween centerpiece.

Michaels is always great. Has everything a crafter can need aside from by-the-yard fabric. IMHO the best part of this place is the super-friendly employees, and the pen/pencil section. You can get almost any kind of individual pen, pencil, or marker.While Im happy they have individuals, I do hope they get Posca pen sets someday.
