It was my 1st time here / w me & my son. The food was actually good. We didnt get too full nor not full enough. It was just right. Oh, the Peach Cobbler was on point. I had mine / w ice cream.
Some of the food was great. It just all didnt seem fresh. The prices were reasonable. But the customer service was less than expected. I felt like I was looked at as less than worth going there as if I were not going to be able to pay for the tab much less a tip. I expected better based on the other reviews.
I stopped in for breakfast after a fasting blood draw.I sat and ordered and it seemed 5 seconds later, out came my food!!I ordered the Spanish Omelette (w/hashbrowns and biskets and gravy) and boy, was it good...AND huge!!! I had to get a to-go box.Im going to look forward to blood draws in the future if I can already stop by here after!
They have the small diner feels that is refreshing. Its like a small town diner atmosphere. They just dont do it very well though. The waitresses are not very friendly, and mine only gave me a half smile when I accepted the check. As a matter of fact, the other waitress wasnt very friendly to the other guests. They just seemed like they didnt want to be there. No personal touch. The food was good, along with the coffee. But they put ice in my orange juice. I didnt ask for that and just why? Who does that? I would not recommend this place. The food wasnt good enough to overcome the below average service.
Was looking for a new place to try breakfast and stumbled upon this place. I gave them a try and the food was good, hot and fresh tasting. Service was prompt, fast and friendly. Prices are great too! Place was clean and had a community vibe to it. I recommend you try them and you won’t be disappointed.
The food was good I had corned beef hash. I dont eat diner food often because it can be heavy but it really hit the spot.

This is used to be a regular haunt of ours. Had not been in over a year due to Covid. First couple of times the food was not good. Today, the food was good. However, I object to not getting my check. You have to go to the counter and the waitress tallies it up there. You do not get a chance to see how much the total is. I like to leave a cash tip, based on service, price and food. You cant do that when you have absolutely no idea what the total cost is. Loved the waitresses who worked there in the past, Belinda (owners daughter), Linda, Brooke and Adrian.

Not sure what the hubbub is about this place. The food is okay, chicken fried chicken was fine, it had a nice cronch without too much superfluous batter. Bland home fries. Servers seemed like they didnt want to be there and acted accordingly. Attempting to sub one little thing on the menu seemingly blew their mind. No reason to return.
Me and my son came here before a doctors appointment to pass time. He wanted French toast and the reviews here were good. We definitely enjoyed everything we ate and the service was phenomenal. We will be back quite frequently. Better than IHOP & Dennys & I recommend the biscuits & gravy homemade and delicious.
I work nights and get off of work early in the morning and this location offers a much broader selection of items for me to choose from during breakfast hours.. I may want a t-bone steak and mashed potatoes with a side salad, or an omelette and a waffle.. They even do combo platters like chicken fried steak and eggs with biscuits, gravy, and hash browns! Many ala carte items to add to your meal so its whatever you are feeling just like you walked into Grandmas house!
Absolutely delicious. Hidden gem in Mesquite. Nothing comes close to this place for breakfast. I would highly recommend this place!
We had a great meal here today! It was our first visit, and we were delighted to find a place with great food and service and great prices so close to home! We had breakfast there today. The omelettes were great - I had the taco omelette was excellent and my husband had another omelette that he also really enjoyed. The hashbrowns were also delicious. We plan to return soon to try their hamburger and onion rings. We saw others eating both and they looked delicious!

I actually enjoyed this place. They are so hospitable and the Cooks fix your meal as requested as closely as possible. The mother Daughter hostesses team and other young woman in service are adorable and make you feel so comfortable upon enjoying your meal. I love to eat breakfast out often,theyve won my business no doubt. I recommend this dinner to everyone passing through and local. Excellent. I had seen this restaurant many times. We finally timed it so we were in the area for breakfast. The food was served promptly and hot and large servings. The staff was friendly and courteous.The service overall was fine but definitely could have been friendlier from the get go.

Food looks good but taste 4 out of 10, pancakes, biscuits and waffles uses the same biscuits mix so waffle and pancakes taste like biscuits and crumble apart when you eat it.

Terrible. We havent been in months because the service was hit or miss, and half the time or was closed. It hasnt improved. We walked in this morning directly behind another couple. The waitress walked straight to THEM, have them menus, got them drinks, and took their order. Not a single person even talked to us.A family came in after us and the other waitress ran right over to their table have them menus, and took their drink order. We still had not been waited on. After 15 minutes we got up and left.Could it be the pro police hat my husband had on? Because that is honestly the only reason they could have had for ignoring us. Got it. We wont be back.And we will be sure to let every police group we are a member of know to avoid this place like the plague.#getwokegobroke

So did my son.My 19 year old had the kids breakfast plater. It a lot of food.The Belgian waffle my other daughter had looked delicious. She loves going there.
So far, I have ordered carryout two times from them. The strawberry topping that I ordered on my first visit tasted old and they didnt provide the whipped cream I ordered and paid for. On the second visit I ordered the French toast and it was delicious 😋. The hashbrowns are delicious too. Even my daughter who doesnt usually like hashbrowns enjoyed them. Next time I am trying the biscuits and gravy with the sausage patties.
I honestly dont know how this place has so many positive reviews... the food was not good at all, lack any flavor. the lady that sat us wasnt wearing a mask and was constantly clearing her throat which is not a pleasant thing to see right before you eat. would not recommend at all. waffle house is better than this!
Food is simple and good. Cannot say its healthy: lots of bread, sugar and grease. But this is what people like. I gave 3 stars to this place because it looks like nobody takes care of the building. We came here with my friend to start his birthday day. It was noisy, crowded, not comfortable old benches and chairs, dirty floor with torn off carpet, chairs and tables probably were born in 1970s. Again food was not bad but the place looks so pathetic! I felt the owner doesnt care about people and their comfort but about his/her profit only. Why dont invest a little bit into the place renovations? Will not come here again...

Cozy, warm, nostalgic, and made to order food describes this place. They serve you large portions of great food. The customer service was great, but there could have been more employees there for faster service. The cashier disappeared for about 3 to 5 mins when we were ready to pay with no one to relieve her. Now if that is my only gripe about this place it just further reveals how great this place is.

I frequent this marvelous restaurant once a month as I enjoy the special atmosphere that is part of this place. The staff is very friendly and qualified. The service is deeply quick. Also, the food you get is great. I visited often and I was always joyful. The pay is honest. I recommend this place to to everybody.
Not a good place, my pancakes had eggshells and my biscuits and gravy were toasted on one side and the other was mushy wet. Must have been frozen.

I would like to recommend this place, great staff, excellent food. Biscuits are tasty and fluffy, so are the scrambled eggs. bacon nice and crispy, just done right. Tables nice and clean. All in all a very nice breakfast experience, Will be coming back here to check out dinner.

Hi everyone this is my first time ever giving out a review. I’ve never would’ve thought I would give a horrible review for mine first review . When I first walked in I noticed that it was segregated and when my food came out my T-bone steak was gray and pink. I ask you can I change meat and she replied yes but you still have to pay for that T-bone steak even though the meat was old gray and pink wow I said.🤢🤮🤮🤮

Great food and service. Stopped by on our drive- Christmas Eve. In total we ordered the chicken salad, two cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, and a breakfast plate. Definitely a stop you want to make to break up a long drive.

Absolutely divine! In the DFW area visiting friends, we googled breakfast spots on our way out and MD came up #1. They did not disappoint. Food, service, quaint comfy environment all came together to make a great breakfast experience. The 9 of us stayed for hours sampling nearly everything on the menu. The biscuits are amazing. French toast is to die for, omelets rock, coffee is delish... I could go on and on, but do yourself a favor. If youre looking for a real breakfast at a great price, give Mesquite Diner a try!!!

I hope you are trying to stay safe during this pandemic, but this diner must not want others to be considering I have call the place 12 time to place a order, mabey help out with some revenue but i was placed on hold for 8 minutes and then hung up on twice. Wont get any of my business again thanks for wasting 35 minutes of my day to hear your employees talk to each other in the background.

Been here twice now and have had a horrible experience both times. My family and I are in eating right now and are being treated like we aren’t paying customers! I shouldn’t have to ask for things that come with the meal i ordered in the first place. I asked for waters and they completely didn’t bring them until I asked a second time and the lady came and slammed them on the table. The service we received is unacceptable!
Tried this spot once with my friend and I am addicted since then. I loved the awesome mood and tasty dishes and drinks. Highly recommended.

I dont like giving bad reviews. I and a friend went according to all the good reviews but when we went the eggs were runny, the pancakes were almost burnt and the bacon was fried so hard it was hard to eat so most of the food went in the trash so money was wasted.
The service is always good. You get your moneys worth. Like the cheese burger with onion rings the best.
Ordered on Door Dash and the food was soooooo delicious 😋. French Toast was so good...the grits didnt need anything added and OMG the home fries were seasoned so good. We will be coming in next time

Waitress falsely accused me of stealing (on a previous visit) with no evidence or reason for suspicion. Made the accusation at the table, in earshot of other guests, during breakfast with my family. I believe it was motivated by discrimination. I gave no reason to cause suspicion. On the day in question, I ate my meal without even leaving my seat once, and went straight to the register to pay afterward. Employees did not believe me until I pulled out my bank records to show the payment I made on that day. Will never be eating there again.
