Always a must stop place to get a great breakfast at a small local business! They have a wide variety of fantastic bagels and great breakfast sandwiches. The staff is always very helpful and quick, prices are reasonable, and the overall environment is always pleasant. I’d totally recommend going here!
A reliable and go-to bagel shop to those who live around the area. There is usually a line out the door when you go in the morning, especially on the weekends, but it moves fast. They have a great selection of bagels, cream cheeses, drinks, and chips - all at a great price. We will definitely be frequent customers here.
The food was AMAZING. Very homemade taste and prepared nicely. We got our food in a little over 10 minutes, which is very quick. Will make this a regular stop in the future.
The bagels are great quality and the Place is nice overall but the vegetable cream cheese was way too salty. The pumpernickel bagel and raisin cream cheese was really good though. I give it 3.5 stars but ill round up.
Bagels are great but the service is awful. These people couldnt be more angry to serve you bagels. Theres maybe one or two guys that do it well, but the majority are no good. Also often skimp on the cream cheese.
They try and pull a fast one on you and jack up prices when you’re about to pay. They’ve do this with credit card and cash. It’s so busy they don’t think you’re paying attention.The shorter bald guy always jacks up the prices $2-3 at the register. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and iced coffee and it came out to $7.50 yesterday even when I’ve ordered the exact same thing and paid the exact same method before at $5.50.The bagels are good but I don’t know understand why they’re so shady about their prices. They’d rather cheat their customers over $1 each?scummy cheap practices by these guys.
Great bagel shop. Fresh, delightful. Line out the door weekend mornings so plan accordingly. Lunch menu is extensive and includes soups. I go here a lot, closest we have found to Brooklyn bagels.

The loaded avocado toast that I got through uber eats for a total of $16 (ridiculous) was a non toasted maiers italian grocery store bread with spinach leaves out of the bag thrown on top and avocado or guacamole (not sure) was not even visible. I could make way better at home! loaded means over the top lots of ingredients not skimpy.

There used to be a nice young boy who worked there and the owner mentioned he had been transferred to their new location in short hills! shame! either way these are easily the best bagels in town! nothing else compares!

Just came in here to get a bagel. two people working and they literally just stared at me. didn’t say a word, hello, welcome, be with you in a minute, or what would you like, just stared at me silently like i was an alien for about 5 minutes. it was sooooo awkward. i just left.
Called ahead for pick up, got there 5m after calling, serving the ppl that ordered after me inside letting them go with their orders, only after 10m asking me what order are you waiting for ….?Finally im out in 15 and not a single sorry or my bad or any sort of apology….. great job guys keep it up

They would charge different price for cash and credit card payments. The moment you pull your credit card to pay, they press some keys on the register and price goes up. Worst practice.

Bagel Pantry is heavenly. That crunchy outside bagel with soft, chewy inside. The line wraps out the door every weekend and you’ll see why.
Best Bagel place around. Love the western omelet, home potatoes, white toast with bacon. The Apple pie cream cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel also my go to.

As a New Yorker who lived there for over 30 years Id like to think I know a thing or two about good bagels. I can say this is easily the best bagel I have had outside of the 5 boroughs and rivals some of the best spots in the city. Delicious bagels!
Great bagels, and excellent coffee.
Its a shame good food. But they constantly mess up orders they put you on hold then pickup like you didn’t just give them a full order! They rush and are very dismissive on the phone. Very disorganized and don’t know if there coming or going.
Coffee is very good here. Bagels are fresh and of quality. I had it with Lox spread cream cheese and was sad not to see chunks of lox in the cheese. Just a tip, if you want your bagel toasted make sure to let them know while ordering, otherwise youll get a room temperature bagel. Not bad for just over $5. Ill definitely be back!!

Great bagels, muffins and coffee
I just left bagel pantry in Metuchen and was disgusted with the handling of food. One plastic glove was worn but food and money were handled with both hands without changing gloves or washing hands. I saw this with more than one server. Disgusting and unsanitary. Be careful and safe.
They have a problem with price consistency. My wife picked up something that Id normally pay $7.50 for and they charged her $10.00
The order comes out 1/2 right. Decent flavors. This is the 3rd time we visit and they always miss something. This time instead of egg whites they put regular eggs.
I have driven by but never stopped. Oh what I was missing. Hot bagels of all varieties, along with fresh coffee and breakfast foods.
Worst place ..they dont listen to your order properly and always in a hurry. Prices are way higher than other bagel stores in the area. Every time, they keep charging you different prices. no consistency.

For the last few years, Ive been picking up breakfast sandwiches from Bagel Pantry at least once a week. They were never perfect -- they dont always pay attention when they take your order (which can be a headache when they botch the order 30 seconds later), and the place is not as clean as it should be.Still, in spite of these issues, they make a mean breakfast sandwich. I was happy to give them my business.Roughly a month ago, I walked into Bagel Pantry 15 minutes before their posted closing time. The OPEN sign on their storefront was illuminated. The guys there were already busy cleaning everything up, and the one closest to the counter, without bothering to turn and face me, rudely barked out, WERE CLOSED. No explanation for the opened and unlocked door, or the lit sign, or the decision to close 15 minutes early. And no apology whatsoever.So I left and have not returned since.I spend my money at Bagels4U on Main Street now. Ive only been there a few times so far, but their food (bagels included) is just as good as Bagel Pantry, and the place is much cleaner.

Love there bagels! The owner and his employees are very nice. The store is clean and they are making sure that there customers and employees are safe.
Decent prices. Okay food.Had a cappachino which was way hotter than it should’ve been. The coffee flavor was burnt. Also had a BLT sandwich where the bacon was over cooked.
Love the convenience and the location but as for the actual bagel itself- third best bagel in town. I’ve lived in town for seven years and in that time I’ve had one good bagel in probably the 50 times I’ve been here. The rest have had a weird aftertaste that even porkroll can’t mask. I’m definitely in the minority versus other people in town (who do rave about this place) but I know a good bagel when I taste it (I’ll gladly cross the Outerbridge crossing for a excellent bagel) and this ain’t it.

Bagels were overpriced, the place has nice ambience thought. Person working said the bagels were fresh, they were not. Also the guy didn’t use gloves even though he handled my money in between orders. In short: greedy, lying, and dirty.

Good food, served quickly. But as a return customer I am disappointed in the customer service recieved during my last visit. I was accused of forgetting to order food I clearly stated, and heard repeated back to me when ordering on the phone. There was no apology or admittance for the misunderstanding, the employees just wanted to place blame. If Im paying in store and there was a misunderstanding with what I ordered, why should it turn into a blame game if I ask for what I actually ordered? With barely an offer to make the missing food and after receiving the incorrect amount of change, I left with part of my order, unsure if it is worth it to return. Times are tough, people are stressed, but customer service still matters.
Its a great local bagel shop that you want to walk to with your family on the weekends. Thats what we have been doing all summer. The bagels are good quality and they have good selection of cream cheeses. Good coffee too. Plenty of options to go with great bagels.They will earn all 5 stars if they work on the ambiance and clean the place a little. I am sure they are always so busy selling stuff that they might have ignored the power of good looking interior.

My go to bagel spot!! Ive been going here for years and always order the everything bagel with lox cream cheese. My sister orders the whole wheat bagel with chive cream cheese.(+) even when theyre crowded, they turn out your order very quickly(+) generous serving of cream cheese(+) bagels taste very very fresh(+) they have a variety of cream cheese flavors, salty and sweet (from jalapeno to strawberry)
Best bagels in New Jersey, HANDS DOWN! Every time I have work on Saturdays, I pick up some bagel for me and my office staff.There are a lot employees working there in the mornings so I wonder how sometimes perfection isnt met. My only complaint is equal care and attention to each bagel purchased. I ordered an everything, toasted with cream, cheese this morning but my bagel was barely toasted. I witnessed he was also taking care of another order. Sometimes our bagels are perfectly toasted and sometimes barely. I just wish, since there are plenty of employees working there, that they would perfect the order as they have perfected their amazing bagels.

Bagel was good and I liked how they only put salt on one side of the salt bagel- otherwise it would be too salty.However, I was very unimpressed with the ambience/decor, cleanliness and basic hygiene. When I saw the guy making my bagel with no gloves I gave him the benefit of the doubt. However not even a minute afterwards he was touching the register. No doubt that he had been going back and forth between preparation and ringing customers up throughout his shift. Who knows if he was touching his phone too or if he even washed his hands. That killed it for me and I was grossed out. It’s so basic that the person touching money with bare hands should not be then touching food. If they must then wearing gloves when preparing food is a minimum. I probably will not be back and will try Bagel 4 U.
This place gets PACKED on the weekends and holidays. The parking lot is shared and small but totally worth the wait. The bagels are fresh and the breakfast sandwiches are soooo good! We love this place!
If youre thing is poppy, sesame, garlic, everything bagels, then sure. Not much else. Muffins looked good. Didnt have one. Oh, they do have a ton of homemade cream cheeses. Place looks a bit dumpy/dirty.

Best bagel place in Central Jersey. The whole wheat everything is my favorite with salmon cream cheese. They also have coffee, espresso drinks, egg/meat sandwiches too, but we stick with the bagel and cream cheese. Classic.

WHO DOES THAT NOWADAYS?!?!The bagels r the best o have ever had: soft, chewy centers with crisp exteriors.The Taylor ham egg & cheese on an everything bagel will change your life.
