This location checks all of the boxes. Hot food bar, dining area, can also return Amazon packages as well here. The produce here is consistently fresh and high quality. Of course you will pay for it but at least you will not be disappointed. The steaks here are great (as pictured). Very good marbling. Shopping with your Amazon credit card and using your Whole Foods App saves a few dollars at least.A great location, and they also deliver to your house if your in their radius.

It can be very busy depending on what day and time you go. It is also located in a busy part of Metuchen so traffic could be stressful.It does have its own parking lot.Selection is quite good but you do pay a premium.

Whole Foods needs no explanation. I regularly shop at Whole Foods and find their products great in quality. They have all sorts of products from organic dairy to meat, from fresh produce to breads and snacks, frozen vegetables and sweets. The quantity of products available here will blow you away. Whole Foods have everything in their arsenal but, with that being said, it comes with a price. Let me explain.Whole Foods is know for their quality of products and also known to be very expensive. Both those statements are somewhat true. If you shop at Whole Foods regularly, you wouldn’t mind paying the extra premium knowing that the produce or dairy or the meat that you get would be great. But, if you compare the prices of some of their competitors, you’d be amazed at the difference in their prices. That being said, the brand 365, is their in-house brand, is very reasonable and offers some of most fantastic organic products with a decent price. Whole Foods also have local products in their inventory which is a great addition and helps local farmers and product sellers integrate with the Whole Foods brand.Whole Foods has a variety of clean products as I mentioned earlier and by clean I meant by their ingredients list. If you’re looking for anything fancy with clean or organic ingredients and you’re that type of a shopper who checks every ingredient that goes into one, this place would be heavenly for you.If you like organic products and don’t mind paying the extra buck then there is nothing stopping me from recommending this place to you. But, if you’re an average joe who wants to dip their toe into the organic family, I’d start off with their 365 brand first and test the water. I’m not saying you won’t find other competitors products here in the shelves but, you’d need to compare the prices again and look at the ingredients and stuff and then decide according to your budget and needs. There are also non organic products available here so don’t associate Whole Foods to be just organic store. I’d recommend to check this store out or, any of their stores for that matter, and make your judgment after you shop and experience the Whole Foods family.

Whole Foods in Metuchen is a welcome store for us vegans and vegetarians. Not only do they carry products friendly towards us meat free eaters but they force other stores to try to compete for the niche market. The produce here is my go to store for fruits. They consistently have quality fruits and vegetables. Their baked goods are delicious but they should be more consistent with Vegan offerings. They have some awesome cashiers working here. The prices are Whole Foods prices but they have been getting better as more competition drives prices down.

Tons of food options that you wouldnt get at most supermarkets like the granola / oats bar. The vegetables and fruits are very high quality. The store has a a nice layout and decor. As expected, most things are quite expensive, so its for you to decide whether its worth your money. Some things are worth the money and others are not.

As always this supermarket is just fantastic they have all the gourmet food and ingredients that I need from caviar to rillettes de canard, humane organic eggs,love it.

One of the more spacious, nice Whole Foods. Simply cannot compare with Wegmans in terms of diversity of merchandise or price. Very poor selection in terms of cleaning supplies etc, as with other Whole Foods stores.

I visited in person for the first time. Before that I have always ordered online and delivered to my home for last 2 years or so. Wow ! It is nice and clean, not so crowded.All items well- organized in aisle. No mess any where. Fresh veggie and fruits! The cashiers and all other r so friendly and welcome. I used to buy veggies from Wegmans and Sunday afternoon super crowded. Ready to eat section super flooded. Items not to so well organized. Cut fruits were not so fresh. Customer service horrible! I am glad I switched to Whole Foods as Whole Foods is whole satisfaction!

Great choice of food and groceries. Mostly whole grain and organic. Dont confuse them with low sugar low carb foods. Allows for pick up of groceries ordered at Amazon online. They also have a nice seating area for hot food. The coffee shop closes at 3PM though.

The store is clean. The vegetables are beautiful. The employees are so pleasant. An employee bags your groceries quickly and properly. They even put tape on the berries so they dont open on the way home. They offer a lot of unique items I cant find anywhere else!

My whole adult life I have lived in cities and states that have Whole Foods and am very committed to organic lifestyle. I traveled to Princeton and then Ckark to shop at Whole Foods and was never disappointed. When Whole Foods opened in Metuchen I was thrilled. I shopped there religiously and it was truly my happy place. Over time it became our Amazon shopping hub and now it has transformed into a high traffic fulfillment center where I feel constantly in competition with Amazon personal shoppers. They have literally taken over the store and operate at the speed of light, completely overshadowing local shoppers. The produce quality has also seemed to downgrade. I have now switched back to Stop & Shop, which is limited in the organic options, but they have plenty of GF options and are much more reliable and less expensive. Very sad, Whole Foods management 😢

Really nice store and generally nice employees, BUT, I bought 3 bags of groceries, and my particular cashier threw some groceries, un-sorted into two bags, many soft things on the bottom such as peaches, with heavy milk cartons crushing them, and then oddly, she asked me to put every bag into my cart even though isnt she supposed to do that? And then she told me (did not ask, she TOLD me) to pack the last bag of the heaviest items of groceries. I thought this was extremely odd, as if I was inconveniencing her by going to her checkout lane and being a customer. I hope Whole Foods gets better at training their employees. In its heyday Whole Foods was known for customer service- now theyve become a more expensive version of every other poorly managed supermarket in the US. Since when are customers required to pack their own bags and lift their packaged bags into their own carts? Why hire cashiers if this is the case?Also- the bags she packed ripped and broke as I was lifting them into my car. Whole Foods used to mind the details- double bag or sort items better as they were being bagged. What happened? Whats going on here?

Great spacious place, than princeton branch, with cool hangout places as well. Have a juice bar, taqueria in the vicinity. Self service available with fresh orange juice station and bread slicers. I was hesitant to use it but the bakery staff was very helpful and explained the process. Felt organic produce is limited. I had a question on rice vinegar and the staff also patiently helped me finding it. Overall had a great experience, got fresh produce and highly recommend.

I love going to this place during the day time or the week nights, less crowd. Fruits and vegetables are great enough quality that I dont have to spend too much time in picking them. Great choice of frozen options for vegans and vegetarians. Staff is very nice, has even amazon locker right at the entrance and you can even return amazon items at their front desk.

Great place to get those need for food network recipes. Fresh and tasty but I wish their fresh prepared foods selection was better.

5 stars because its got what I came for... but I want to give it 4 stars for the folks that work there. I understand that you want to fill an order as fast as possible, but people still want to come in and do there own shopping. Please be patient with us. I can get these same groceries with Amazon and have them delivered... dont make me feel like Im in your way. Thanks.

I wish I could just bring the whole place home and eat everything thats there. The place here is so clean and there are so many interesting products. Only down side is its a bit pricey compared to other grocery markets but the quality definitely makes up for it.

Fantastic service! I have a handicapped daughter that lives in a group home. I am unable to see her for Thanksgiving due to the covid virus. So I called whole foods & had a chocolate cake delivered to them. My daughter said it was in the shape of a turkey. Her roommates were thrilled! Just wanted you to know that you made it easy for me & you made some special needs young ladies very happy! Thanks again for your kindness & great service!

The store hasnt been the same since Amazon took over. The produce is old and limp. The shelfs are under stocked and the online order shoppers clog the aisles so you cant move!

All organic food you can get there. Be it lentils, rice, wheat, fruit and vegetables plus milk and drink products. Best quality for sure plus you will ten percent additional discounts if you have amazon prime account. This is only one out of two places where you can find A2 milk which is what lactose intolerant people are looking for. A treat to be there.

The selection isnt as vast as a normal supermarket, but there is stuff here that you cannot get anywhere else. Its a bit more pricey, but if you are a Prime member youre supposed to get 20% off your total, however having said that, my Prime membership hasnt saved me any money yet. Im wondering if Im getting a higher cash back with my Amazon Store credit card. Who knows?

Opened in Metuchen and a nice addition for your grocery needs. Much of the items are organic. Nice meat, fish, cheese, deli, sections. They also have prepared homemade items in the event you dont want to cook. This is a more upscale supermarket and you will be paying more but, you are getting quality for it. Plenty of parking and lot us well lit.

A slightly smaller Whole Foods than the one I usually go to but has a nice outdoor seating area on the side and ample produce selection

Rude staff at customer service. I was returning glass bottles on july 11th around 6 pm, and the guy was on his mobile phone for over 5 minutes. And when his phone session was over, he was like do you have a question or something (while laughing with other employee). Is this how Whole Foods train their employees ? Remeber the phrase how can I help ? is that so hard to say when somebody has been waiting 3 feet away from you patiently while youre busy on personal phone while doing business?

I’m at this place right now and the staff told me no pictures were allowed I kept doing it tho because I feel is fair for people to know the prices and compare based on their own budget.

Shopping in person or taking advantage of their delivery service. Both services from this location are excellent. Whole Foods has great produce and for items on sale through the Prime deal, are better offers then Stop and Shop or other local groceries.

It is what it is. Just another A&P but fruit section is better.

Was not on par with whole foods as a brand. Shelves were not stocked and falling apart, surfaces looked sticky/generally dirty, aisles were disorganized and people had just thrown things about. The store was not even remotely busy so you cant blame it on a rush. Not up to par with the nice area and name of the brand for sure. For how much you are paying for these goods, I expected better.

Very friendly staff and easy to find everything I need. Staff seem to be keeping everything stocked which is great. They have nice ready to make meals and their prepped food section always has something good to try.

The ladybat the register was very nice and attentive. The butcher guy was complete opposite in fact he seemed unhappy to be there and not so thrilled that we asked him to cut some pieces of meat thinner and gave us a little attitude. We almost went back to get more but didnt want to deal with him again so we didnt. Typically I like it there.

Local food market with variety of Sea food, Chicken, lamb and pork variety. The butchers are kind enough to cut the chickens for us. They also have variety of Bakery items, Coffee seeds, dairy and more and more.

I noticed the people who work here are always happy to help me compared to other supermarkets. Ive even observed and overheard them helping other customers and they are also treated with kindness. This location seems to have more things in stock compared to Marlboro. Although I did notice both this location and Marlboro are out of organic ginger but that makes sense during these times since its excellent on the immune system.

This Whole Foods has a refillable water station which is great. Staff seem friendly and I’m typically able to to get in and out pretty quickly.

Upscale food market has a fantastic selection of organic and locally grown produce, a coffee/tea bar, international cheeses, fresh nuts and grains, fresh fish and meat counters, hot food and salad bar (by the pound) as well as a seating area near the entrance/exit with disposable tableware,napkins, cups, plates, etc. to sit and relax as you nosh. Free Wifi is provided and clean bathrooms as well. Large parking lot in a shared shopping center.

Its really great to have a lot of organic choices in this market... prices are not competitive though... (comparing same items with costco and other local grocery stores). This Whole Foods Market place had terrible customer service. The employees were rude, or didn’t talk at all when asked a question. Also, the place seems dark, I would suggest adding more lighting.

I was looking for a particular item. I ask someone they sent me to the Customer service desk... I made my request and immediately dismissed. this employee did not want to be bothered. And she made me feel like had no business asking for help. Go find it yourself fat a**... She didnt say that but that was just my inner monologue. I just hope that Whole Foods would do a better job of training their staff.. Help them fake being nice even if they dont mean it.

Great selection of produce, meat, and baked goods. Beats my local stop & shop in variety and quality, hands down. The only issue I have is that, lately, with all of the grocery deliveries being processed, its starting to feel less like a grocery store and more like a warehouse.

Drew provided excellent customer service and although this store didnt have the ginger juice to fix my upset stomach. I appreciate Drew taking the time and energy to try to locate it for me at the store and in their catalog.

Had a pretty terrible experience with the cashiers today (Feb 6th at 11AM). There were long lines on each register, after waiting in line, dropping in groceries on the conveyor, and scanning our QR code, the cashier abruptly turned off the register and walked away.After waiting in confusion for a few minutes, we found her bagging on another lane. She told us to take all our groceries and get back in line, because she had to turn off the register.After waiting in another line again (~25 total minutes), we finally were able to check out and pay. We informed the manager at the register of the issue, but all she did was laugh about the situation.It’s extremely frustrating that the clerks didn’t bother to let us know they were shutting down the lane initially. And even more frustrating that a manager would laugh at our situation. We’ve come to expect more from Whole Foods and are very disappointed in the lack of professionalism from the staff at this location.

I love shopping here, but the customer service has gone downhill. When this place first opened, everything was great. Now, the majority of the employees have no interest in helping. Although, there are still a few gems. Along with the widespread apathy, I often see employees more interested in talking and hanging out with each other. Then there are the employees who are doing the shopping for delivery, who will run you over to complete their duties with no interest for the customer in front of them. This change in attitude must come from the top. They should get a new General Manager.

Not sure what is going on. The last couple of weeks its almost impossible to buy bread (Bread Pane Francese, 16 Ounce)past 3pm. Cant you bake more? Our favorite yogurt was out of stock 3 weeks ago. I just checked - still out of stock.

What horrible customer service!! I called the store 7 times in a row and spoke to KIA who was completely disrespectful and truly had no level of graciousness.I was explaining that their phones were not working properly and asked to speak to the general manager .... Rather than be gracious and sorry for the fact I called 7 times in 20 minutes to ask if they carry the products she was lecturing me about how I needed to be more patient. The phone calls or hung up on by their phone system at least 6 times. My friends live in the area andI was coming to this store because I happened to be in the area for business. and she would not back down. I should have known when the 1st thing she said was thank you for calling Whole Foods we close at 9 oclock how can I help you today...yikes! I sincerely suggest you train this person much more efficiently.

Great selection of healthy food choices, a cafe, and an attached restaurant. Well maintained shelves, clean, and nicely constructed interior in general.Id give 5 stars except for the prices. Not exactly competitive versus ShopRite or Wegmans. But, that acknowledged: you will find some types/brands of health food that you arent likely to find in those competitors stores.

Very nice place, very nice and helpful staff. Clean place. Lots of fun activies they have once in a while for kids. I love the kids painting the pumpkins.

Although not as big as the other whole foods nearby (like the one in Clark), they still offer all the same products and share a very similar floor plan so you know exactly where everything is even if youve never been to this location. However, the parking lot here is way too small and its in a weird location off a main road. Hard to get to, but still a good place to get groceries.

The 3 staff I spoke with were rude/negligent. The people are self-centered and the food is way overpriced. This is mostly what I expected from whole foods but oh boy was it worse than expected

Good quality

The cashiers here, that Ive experienced, are cold and unfriendly. No greeting before or after. They seem like they are being forced to work. Really a big turn off. Even the workers on the floor seem like theyre just on autopilot. Ive observed employees interacting with one another but only interacting with customers on need basis. WF is close to me. Trader Joes is much further away but I go there now bc its a much better experience.

Always a visual experience in the fresh fish and prepared foods area. Cashiers are super friendly.

Whole foods is abit expensive but the quality is high. I usually buy food that is on sale for prime members. The apples are the best you can find in any market lots of varieties with amazing taste. And many times they are on sale. And you never have to wait online. Great service. Overall the value you get is worth the additional cost you pay. But when items are on sale you get a great combined value.

Store is clean and everyone friendly but they are constantly out of stock of everything. Especially produce and spices. I come here every day, average 5 times a week so after a solid 1.5 years of shopping here, suffice to say thats their usual practice. Inconvenient. Needs major improvement there.

If you are an organic freak. This is the place to go. Good cheese collection. Pricey though. Few of the customer service reps are so rude, they do not even bother to greet you in spite you wish them. I do not how the management treats this kind of behavior. Really shame. Also i need to agree that some are very kind and helpful.

Location is clean and more airy than most other Whole Foods. The limitations are the extremely limited product lines including and especially for household and personal cleaning products and the low value due to high prices of virtually all products - not unlike any other Whole Foods store in that regard although this one and the one in Marlton NJ seem to have more product diversity or are simply better formatted than the one in Chatham-Madison NJ.

High quality food. Many organic foods. Beautiful produce with much more organic choices than any other food market other than specialty markets. Prime members get discounts. Follow covid guidelines better than any other store. Prices a little higher but worth the safety and quality. Dont give rainchecks.
