Hidden gem across from the Lighthouse Mall. Made to order drinks are ready in a short time. Enjoyed a Milky Way Frappe after a hot day at the beach. Also looks to have a nice selection of hot coffees as well. Picked up a bag of coffee to be ground at home for another option.Plenty of seating on the main level or travel upstairs for a view of the street.

Cute and nice coffee store! We ordered mocha and latte, and the coffee was pretty good. We also ordered a cinnamon roll, which was just okay - I guess it might taste better if it’s warm. The service was quick that we got our coffee within five minutes.

The coffee is amazing. As soon as you walk in, the coffee aroma will speak for itself. And its a cozy spot. Its usually pretty quiet so its a good spot to get work done. Theres even a reading chair on the second level. Another small perk, the lighthouse mall is paces away.

A truly great coffee shop!!! I was so surprised at the flavors that we got!!! Someone ordered the Grasshopper....oh my...I was thankful to get a sip!!! DELICIOUS!!! The Chai Latte was REALLY good!!!! They also have other confections and gifts...I would definately support them whenever I was at the outlet mall!!!!

Solid coffee. I have the espresso with dark chocolate. Pretty good, above average. Not great.Store was pretty cool on two levels. They serve sandwiches as well. This is a good option for a good meal.

I havent tried their coffee or espresso drinks, just their spices chai latte, which is fantastic. Best in the area and as good as any Ive had anywhere in the world. Relaxed atmosphere and casual feel deliver on what you hope for from a coffee shop. Right across the street from Lighthouse Mall, and far better and more reasonably priced than Starbucks.

I had a campfire latte and one of the specialty scramblers in a tortilla and it was delicious. The employees were very friendly and helpful and we sat outside on the patio since the weather was so nice. We will definitely go back if were ever in the area.

I got a caramel macchiato which was delicious 👌😋. I couldnt decide what to get for my daughter (3 years old) who was with me. They have an assortment if baked goods that looked excellent. I decided on a bagel with cream cheese and paid about $4.00 for it 😂. I have to say it wasnt worth the money I didnt even get Philadelphia cream cheese. I got her a small juice box (honest kids) another dollar. For the price I could have went to Panera, Dunkin or Starbucks. If you want to support local business then go to Lakeshore lol but you will pay the price 🤑

Nice! Hubby had a brownie that was delish! My chocolate chip cookie was good, too! Very friendly service and cozy. There is even outside seating and an upstairs loft area to sit. If we lived in this area, it would easily become a favorite spot!

Loved this local coffee shop! Great merchandise, flavors, vibe, and options. I really enjoyed the Cafechata! Especially if you enjoy cinnamon.

Limited but very tasty selection of baked goods. Great service. Friendly. Outdoor seating. Some items are a tad pricey but the quality is there.

The food and coffee were decent. This would get them four stars. Ambiance is a 5/5. However, one of the 3 baristas was not wearing any mask. Almost none of the customers wore a mask. I would not stop here again.

Horrible experience. i went there to get some nice hot coffee and a cake pop and they ate the cake pop in my face. i took my little brother with me and they took him by the leg and swung him until he blasted out of the roof. then they took my coffee and spilled it on me. they gave me a tiny piece of napkin and then told me i had to leave the building. would give 0 stars if i could.

Service was excellent. My turkey Pannini was to die for along with my apple, and my chai tea latte even more so! I seated myself next to a window and looked out on this quaint little town. If you want something even better than Panera Bread and Starbucks combined this is it!

It’s the third time we go in, and shame on us, because after 2 in a row that aren’t good, why would the 3rd be any different?It’s cold out, your browsing the lighthouse mall, and it’s just right there. Coffee sounds appealing... I regret no going back to ask for my money back. 10+ $ for 2 coffees. We couldn’t drink neither of them, disgusting taste; we finally dumped them.Again, my fault for 1. Not saying anything and 2. Going in on the first place.

Super warm and cozy Cafe the muffins are very good their coffee is also very good as well I had a local medium roast I think it was better than Starbucks they open at 6 and they close at 6. The cashier was very friendly I would highly recommend this place especially with the Premium Outlets down the street I would avoid Starbucks and come here. Much better options and very yummy

I love this place. Ive been stopping here for years whenever I travel through M.C. However, the last few times Ive ordered a baked good here, theyve given it to me on a *paper* plate and given me a *plastic* fork. They used to use real, ceramic plates and real, metal silverware. Using a plastic fork makes me feel wasteful and cheap, like Im eating a some family picnic. If anyone in management is reading this, please bring back the real plates and silverware.

Cozy little coffee shop and great place to grab a quick bite and relax after doing some shopping across the street at lighthouse place outlet mall. I especially like the seating upstairs in the loft area. Good selection of sandwiches and snacks too!

The coffee is decent and the baked goods arent bad. However, it drives me nuts that they dont use reusable plates, cups, etc. Its so wasteful and its just not sustainable. There are other coffee shops that are better & use reusables.

Right across the street from the Factory Outlet stores. Very good speciality coffees and decadent desserts (we had cheese danish). I was disappointed that they gave everyone enjoying coffee in the shop paper cups instead of real ones. Upstairs is very nice.

I always stop at this shop when I am in Michigan City. Today was an iced tea day after a long bike ride. Watch out for the serious somewhat loud political talk on the breezy side of the building. Smart, caring people abound here.

Came because of the great reviews. This place had awful customer service. They did not have a system in place to handle more than one customer at a time. It took almost 40 minutes to get our coffee and an extra 20 to get our food. We had to point out for both that we hadnt received or coffee or food. The food was good.. but not worth the stressful wait

Actually I stopped by a few weeks ago but never had a chance to try them because that they were busy that day and I have to wait for a long time. But finally tried them last week after seeing all these great reviews.It usually happens when you see great reviews and wanted to see for yourself its always a disappointment maybe because of the high expectation. But this time it wasnt.I tried their different types of oysters and you can taste their freshness and can still smell the sea water. Then i tried the Uni, so fresh and tasty. Absolutely in love......It was a great experience. Will be back for sure.

Popped in here for a late lunch after an appointment in Michigan City and before errands at the outlet mall. Decided to “risk” a bowl of their Chicken Noodle Soup, as I find most restaurant versions to be far too salty, “processed”-tasting, and nothing that my grandmothers would have approved. Wrong! It was one of the BEST soups I’ve ever been served! Perfect noodles and tender chicken were in a steamy broth with just the right amount of vegetables. It was served with a good chunk of crusty olive oil and rosemary bread. I couldn’t have been more satisfied. Turns out the kind manager made it herself and shared some of her methods with me. I cannot wait to see if I can come close to her version at home. My “Hopeless Romantic” latte (light touch of almond syrup and nutmeg) also hit the spot. Great job, Lakeshore Coffee & Specialties!

Atmosphere & great coffee beverages

I see all these wonderful reviews, and it makes me wonder what happened in my situation. The coffee tasted fine... right up to the second I tried to suck some through the stirrer straw and couldnt.... because there was some thick, nasty slime in the bottom of my cup, as though someone blew their nose in it! I dont know if it was in the coffee or someone was doing something shady with those straws, but regardless... I was sick for hours from that experience!Trying to be fair here, I have no idea what the slime was. Maybe it was somehow coffee related, such as a machine needing to be cleaned, but I know what my mind keeps telling me it was, and I want to be sick again. Please clean your machines and keep an eye on employees, just to be on the safe side.

A quaint place seated on Wabash, the coffee specials are always a treat. A great stop before heading to the dunes for a fall hike. Sitting inside is always pleasant and the location basks well with natural light.Breakfast here is wonderful, and there are many treats to choose from.

Perfect coffee place if you want to enjoy relaxing for a minute. We loved the flavor of the coffee because it reminded us of Italys coffee. Perfect temperature for drinking and foamy. We will be back!
