Get to this literal hometown acme it is so perfect! Its small and old school sword of like myself 😹!!!! Needed a product I just could not find anywhere between both somerset and Middlesex counties!!!! Ofcourse pandemic related. And Deana at customer service was a god send. From me calling her, I came in and she walked me to my product, personally ringed me up and did it all with a big smile. And honestly this whole pandemic is really starting to get to me but ill get through it. I needed that trip to act me tonight really bad!!!!!

I stop I when I pass by the store. I like their ready made sandwiches and cut fruit.I dont live in the area but Ill stop by when Im near.Nice people work there. I always feel welcome.

One of the worst experience as a customer I have had so far. The staff was not at all friendly. The quality and condition of fruits and vegetables was beyond worst. We had to return certain items but couldn’t as the store has a policy that they only take back items purchased from that particular store. One cannot return product of one Acme store at another, which came as a huge shock to us. Also nowhere in the company policy did we read this condition. All in all way back in time as compared to its competitors in terms of quality, technology and customer service

Convenient, friendly grocery store. Easy to get in and get out. Staff are very friendly and eager to help. Just the right amount of options to give you choices without being overwhelming. Will visit again.

Picked up some beautiful and tasty fruits today. Prices weren’t bad.

The meat area is small which is expected of a small market, but the meat itself was going bad (example the sausage was turning grey while some were still pink). The ice pops I bought had already been melted and refrozen since I opened the box as soon as we left Check out and you could see they were frozen in the shape of the popsicle bag. Overall, if you need items quickly its convenient, but wouldnt chance the meat.

So Im giving a 2 star only because the manager in charge was apologetic and offered to allow me to grab 3 similar items but honestly an apology and free items arent equal to what may possibly happen. Today I went in to this Acme location after work and purchase the Gerber yogurt pouches for my 1 year old daughter. Not thinking much of the dates being that they are normally good and I dont have to worry. However today I had to reach to the back to grab 3 additional pouches. The 1st pouch was fine as the expiration date was Feb of 2022. The 3 additional pouches I grabbed from an unopened box were close to 1 year expired, Aug of 2020. This would have been a little less scary if I hadnt fed a portion of the expired pouch. I dont understand how something like this could go unnoticed for a whole year. This is absolutely unacceptable and I pray that my daughter doesnt get sick.

Let me start by first stating that I have shopped at Acme for over 15 years and am a loyal customer. Everytime I visit the Acme in Middlesex the staff are friendly and helpful. However, this was not the case recently. There is one associate by the name of Felisha who is an unsavory individual, unhelpful and just plain rude. She lacks customer service skills and instead of making the checkout run smoothly she does not assist in opening her area for checkout. Not sure if I will be returning due to her behavior and attitude she may need to be retrained.

Every time im here im thankful machines will one day replace the workers.

I always go there for the hot wheels cuz they normally have a whole bunch all thru out the store but this time they only had 1 case and it was only a few and a bunch of repeats.. please stock more

Pricing is pretty high unless on sale. Always a funny sea food smell when you walk in doesnt give me faith in its freshness. Only good for a quick stop when other groceries stores are closed or looking for a specific product.

An excellent supermarket. Friendly clerks. They got the community through the pandemic as they have department heads with a combined over 200 years of experience with ordering and stocking. Worth it since they also have a good seasonal area.

Friendly staff, but this place needs a desperate overhaul. It is small, tight, and doesnt offer too much variety. Good for the local neighbors. I would move the store to the old Pathmark building.

Prices are higher than other supermarkets in the area. Fresh produce is especially pricey here. Some Cashiers are friendly and some others dont, I guess it depends on the time of the day and the person. Had a couple of bad experiences here.

Always nice friendly workers there normally have someone. Watching. The parking lot and helping the older people with getting a cart. Below avg prices on meats good sales.. overall I like shopping there

This is a small supermarket. They have some great specials. Could be a little cleaner and modernized.

Nice place to do weekly shopping...clean, organized, very friendly staff, I can do it all in 15 minutes or less. They also have a huge line of their own organic products and an excellent bakery. The Acme APP is a great way to get savings every week. I also find for a smaller store they have a better selection than Shop-Rite, some hard to find items are here, and the prices are just as good as the other stores, if not better.

Neighborhood grocery. Not huge. Doesnt have everything but is efficient and the staff is very nice

I grew up in the area and used to go often but then moved. I recently went back for a visit and went here to buy a few things, the place hasnt changed much at all. Its good in a pinch but I feel as though I can get almost double the amount of groceries at shoprite for the same price. Also not that great a selection.

They apparently have no clue what they are doing at checkout. And now you have to load an app for coupons, specifically for the Acme. Not a fan. And it didnt work correctly at checkout. Total debacle. I would give it no stars if I could.

Customer service is outstanding.

That one cashier girl, Zeena I believe, had AMAZING custumer service and was very friendly towards me. Wish they had a tip jar so could tip $20. Would definitely come back for the fast service and the great deals.

Very nice people work at Acme

I dropped a star from my previous review. I have had a few issues and reported them to a manager who seems to have addressed them, unfortunately some of the staff seems not to care.I went into the store yesterday to pick up a few items. I stood on line and watched as the staff did very pity to move the lines quickly and finally gave up when another cashier at the cs desk pulled two people standing behind me in line to another register while I stood there.I walked out and I wont be back until management fixes the deficiencies in this store.

Prices are getting better!

Today everything in the fruit and vegetables section was very well stocked. Same with bakery.

Would shop somewhere else more trustworthy if I had more options just as far.

If youre ever in a rush to do some quick grocery shopping this is not the place for you. The staff is much older and they definitely take their time bless their hearts. But ladies and gentlemen do not go here if you are in a rush for a couple of items. Also theres no self checkout.

They are pricey and they dont always have what your looking for Im saying if you jus need a couple things shop here if your doing some big shopping shop elsewhere

Its okay. I like the fact that the store is smaller and contained. I mostly buy organic. They have a new manager and I requested he order some organic items that the store previously had in stock. I also asked about ordering better chicken, since they seem to only be a fan 9f Purdue (yuck). He committed to doing so, but never did. Turns out hes NO BETTER than the previous manager. Kinda sucks..so I spend my money with their competitors.

I really dont like this place or the people in it. It seems like they give the look as to say Im not welcomed. Maybe they werent taught its not polite to stare. On another note there is ONE AFRICAN-AMERICAN woman there that knows her job like the back of her hand (shout out to her) I wish I knew her name but shes at the courtesy desk most of the time I see her. I give her 5 stars

Average supermarket with not many options, as its pretty small, so there are many things they do not carry. However, on occasion I have found things that I havent been able to find anywhere else. I go there because its near my home, not because I seek out any special products they carry. They have lots of the basics and not too much in the way of specialty items or food. They dont have the same appeal as a Whole Foods or Wegmans as far as quality and selection. Just average!

Middlesex Acmy don’t have a items that they put it in weekly flyers. Manager sue only nice there.and cashier never welcome to customer. I felt not good customer service.....

They have a nice selection. I was able to grab thing for dinner and check out quickly. Im definitely coming back to the store

Love Acme. The Middlesex store is just big enough to carry anything you need but small enough to feel homey. The employees are always cheerful & helpful & never have a problem if you ask questions.

The Middlesex store is small, in relation to the modern superstores. But they have everything my family needs and very friendly atmosphere.

They have their good days and bad. O shop there frequently. When its busy there is never enough help, and the cashiers move so slow sometimes I wonder if they could actually reverse time. But they are decent with prices, friendly and conveniently located. Better than going to Shoprite anyday

Great local grocery store. I used to work there along time ago. I miss the pick n choose cookies they uses to sell way back when...

Not up to par with Shop Rite or Wegmans with variety or with Walmart for price. But sometimes a deal or something unique can be found. A decent local grocery for a quick stop.

Decent prices, store has seen better days. Stay away from their chicken, brand name or not. It always comes out with a weird rubbery texture no matter how long I cook it, dont cook it, etc. I think they freeze it then let it thaw in the display. This is probably the same thing other stores do, but for some reason, it just doesnt work out well at this Acme.

Great little store.Perfect for a medium sized shopping list. Selection limited as compared to Shoprite but smallness lets you get done faster.Layout is identical to Grand Union or Topps, so it is easy to know where things are.

Long lines at check out as they are under staffed. Flies are in the bagel case. There refrigeration breaks down frequently so the bacon smells bad. Fruits go bad quick too. Staff is friendly though. They need to renervation and more employees.

ACME in Middlesex. Good, convenient location and easy to find (on Route 28 westbound). Helpful and friendly staff. Prices and sales are competitive. Store could use a facelift (inside and out),but dont let it deter you from shopping there.

Ok, in a pinch to pick stuff up, if I go for a sale item, much of the time they dont have. Scan your receipt before you keave the store..always at least one item that doesnt ring up correctly. Sorry but its the truth

Good place there help you with everything

The store is way overpriced, has really poor selection and really bad customer service. I didnt mind when they had self-checkout because it was at least quick to pick up one or two things but the cashiers are so slow that its quicker to drive further to ShopRite than wait on line here.

This supermarket doesnt have the most expansive selection in the world, but I consistently find that this store has better produce and fresh product than any of the bigger chain supermarkets. Granted it doesnt have all the bells and whistles, but its store, not a restaurant or theme park.
