I’ve been meaning to write a review here for a long time but after today I knew I had to!We have been going to Sapore for years. The food is amazing. I literally cannot say enough good things. Everything I have ever had from here is delicious and so fresh.The service is awesome as well. Anyone that is looking for an Italian Speciality store or deli I recommend here.In our family the Tone B sandwich is one of our favorites but today, I decided to try a wrap for the first time. I have to say it was equally as large as the sandwiches! So delicious and fresh and at a great price!Highly recommend Sapore to anyone!

I am an old boy from Jersey City. Growing up in that city I was exposed to many European cuisines. Always on the hunt for the perfect ravoli. Not the best but, pretty close to it. Their selection is extensive with many varieties. Oh, and they make some great special subs. We had their fried eggplant, home roasted red peppers and mozzarella, broccoli rabe snd balsamic oil. Very good. Oh picked up few dozen ravioli. Reasonable prices and they do cater.

The best gourmet deli in the area, and their cold cases are a delightful buffet of Italian treats and specialties.

10/10. Staff was very helpful in creating a special dish for my wife, food was just as good as the service.

Sapore makes one of the best meatball parm subs Ive ever had, and thats not an honor I bestow lightly. Everything here is consistently excellent, plus the portions are huge so there are always leftovers for another meal. If this place delivered without one of the super expensive third party delivery services, I would weigh 400 pounds.

Made my very first visit there on Wed b4 NY. The place is immaculate. Its beautifully organized. The gentleman that waited on me perfectly polite. The ravioli and WARM meatballs made for a most delicious dinner. Was definitely not our last visit!

The food is so good here that u sometimes have to walk right out because the line is too the door, just saw 3 people try to go here plus me and we just walked away after opening the door. Today wasnt our day

The Dom sandwich is the best italian sub I have ever had. All the best meat loaded with fresh mozzarella on fresh italian bread. Ive eaten all over the country amd this is by far the best.And dont forget all the antipasta varieties they have. If I lived in here I would try there fresh raviloi which Im sure is terrific as well.I will be back to try as much as I can.Thanks guys for a great sandwich.

If you want authentic italian pasta, sauces and fresh mozzarella you need to try this place out.Their raviolis are of superior quality. They have many types of fillings including lobster, crab, cheese and many more. For Valentines they make heart shaped raviolis which are unbelievable. Their rice balls are superb. I really cant say enough of this place.Mind you, its not a restaurant but you can get the best Italian pasta outside Brooklyn

This place is amazing. If I hypothetically ever ended up on death row, the Not so Chicken Little would be my last meal request. Dominic has his staff fry every piece of chicken by hand in a hotel pan, no deep fryers allowed. The best chicken cutlets period. Staff is friendly and prices are beyond reasonable. This is 5 star cooking at basement prices. It can get a little busy at lunch time since the staff takes their time to get each customer order correct. So give them a call a little before you want to eat. Its worth the wait.

Delicious as usual. Went to pick up some Heart shaped Ravioli n sauce as well as Dessert and Appetizer Smoked Mozzarella n sundried tomatoes for a Quiet Valentines Day Dinner at home. Best decision ever.

The tastiest raviolis you will ever have. Luckily, they sell some of their stuff at Shoprite so it makes it very convenient to get. Not cheap but worth the price for sure.

So let me start out by saying I’m from Brooklyn and have very high level of expectations for food. I have been in the best of everything. On my way home from the doctor I decided to stop in this place. Gentleman behind the counter really friendly and welcoming. I ordered some ravioli and other items to go which I haven’t even tried yet. When I told him this was my first time here he stopped and thought for a minute Then proceeded to hand me a chicken cutlet. It was still hot right out of the frying pan!! This has to be the best chicken cutlet I ever tasted! The chicken was soft and delicious and juicy and the breadcrumbs were awesome. I don’t write a lot of reviews but I had to write this one as soon as I possibly could. I’ll let you know how the rest of food wise but based on this I’m sure it’s gonna be awesome

When you walk in, you are back in Old Italy. They have the freshest Mozzarella (at the lowest price around). All kinds of Italian delicacies. They use fresh Mozzarella in all of their signature subs. I recommend the Dom and the Hot Italian sub with hot peppers. Their Raviolis are also incredible. There is nothing there that is not incredible.

This is one of my favorite spots locally. I live about a quarter mile from here and its my wife and Is go to spot. They are quick and the sandwiches are big! They dont cheap out. Definitely recommend going here

If you are looking for that family run Italian sandwich shop, this is the place. They have everything your heart desires. We always go in there just wanting a sandwich for lunch and we leave with 2 bags of food. From there home made bruschetta to their Lemon drop cookies, you wont be disappointed

Absolutely amazing, Ive had a few different sandwiches from Sapore and every time I was more than happy. Excellent prices on sandwiches too. I had tried a fee of there salads and marinated products. Also very very delicious. I had recently bought a bunch of fresh made raviolis that I am waiting to eat but guarante they will be delicious

I was giving several gift cards to go here from very good friends for Christmas gifts. Every time my wife and I go in here. This older man greets us with a miserable look on his face. Not helpful at all. We ask him if he has certain things and he answer in a nasty way and says No we dont have any.Also, when we are about to pay with gifts cards, he gets all mad and really doesnt want to except them!!! Even though he forgot he already got paid months ago for these cards.I cant wait until they are all done and not to go back there ever again!The food isnt that great. . Its salty. Too much cheese on lasagna. Shop rite makes a better lasagna.My mother of course made the best lasagna and never put any salt in any of her food.This man is just like the soup natzee from Seinfeld show!!!!

The Best! Anthony and crew always make sure that both their customer service and food are top notch. Sapore isnt as close to my house as other places with similar food, but Im more than willing to take the extra time to head over when I want the best!

Ordered food for 90 people for my sons birthday party. Very easy to order and work with and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone at the party raved about the food. The favorite was their ravioli of the month which was Pumpkin ravioli. So so good. Sandwiches, rice balls, chicken Marsala, ziti, and sausage with potatoes were all also delicious. Food was ready on time and I would say very reasonably priced for sure. I will never get food catered from anywhere else.

You have been added to my go to list. And there’s only one other place on it. Sapore and Keyport Fishery. The shrimp ravioli are absolutely excellent and the chicken Caesar wrap, I’ve never had one like that. Can’t wait to try everything on your menu

Awesome place. One word of advice.... dont go there when youre very hungry, youll leave with half of the store. Everything from sandwiches to homemade Italian dishes are fantastic.

This is the greatest gravy ever made. I can eat it from the jar or off the plate with nothing else but my fork or fingers. The raviolis are untouchable and are stuffed with delectable ricotta cheese. They have various other ravioli options for you to stuff your face with for a family feast. Make sure if youre going there days before a holiday you get there nice and early because everyone who knows Italian food in a 10-mile radius comes here for our gluttonous needs. And while youre there, I suggest you ask Anthony to make you an eggplant parmigiana sub. His craft is a work of art because he manages to keep thinly sliced breaded eggplant with delicious mozzarella and their gravy on the sub roll with making a mess. This is the G.O.A.T. of Italian delis.

Ok, first, for all you millennial types, understand something. You are not getting out of this place without getting and receiving some of that old school love. That’s right. It’s one of the primitive places where people take pride in the food they are crafting for you. People look at you in the eye! Wow! Everything is fresh! Everything is clean. They offer you new things to try on the house! The place reminds me of a little deli I used to go to on my way from from school out in Bensonhurst. The place reeks of pride and honor. When my wife and I went a while back, the older gentleman was making her sandwich. He actually came from around the counter to “show” her how great the sandwich was before he put the cheese and sauce on. What can I say folks? You still reading this? Get over there!

Love love love this place there is nothing like it the bread the rolls the pasta the sauces the sausage need I go on if youve never been here take a trip bring a cooler cause youre leaving with some amazing food. They catered a few parties Ive attended and the food was awesome .

Went for a sub, The Dom. Got to try the fresh made ricotta. OMG. It was heavenly. Was a very entertaining experience. The sub was out of this world. I will be a regular.

The raviolis are very good and so is the bread. The only drawback is that the store is very small and when people bring kids, it is hard to look around. Very helpful customer service.

Hidden gem. Homemade raviolis and sauce

I bought two fresh, homemade, mozzarella balls and OMG they were the BEST fresh mozzarella Ive ever had. They were still warm and SO good. I even called Sapore to thank them.

Growing up in Brooklyn was spoiled with having great sandwich places like DeFontes in Redhook! Never thought I would be spolied in JERSEY! The Dom Sandwich Wow!
