I think this Costco is small. The variety of items is ok not that great. I also had a bad experience with one employee last year. I was shopping with my sister and I was paying for the items. I just handed my card to my sister to hold on to so I can get my wallet out. The employee cashier said, she can’t pay the membership holder has to pay. She didn’t even check the card whose name was on it. She just assumed. I had to pay cash even though it was my card but the employee was in denial. Thankfully I had cash on hand. The parking lot is the worse. You can’t get out without possibly hitting someone coming into the parking lot racing in and not slowing down. I rarely shop at the physical location I try to get my stuff online. Sure I might have to pay $3.99 for shipping but it’s better to keep my sanity than come here. I also want to be clear that I was visiting a larger Costco which is 3x busier than this location out of state. They had the best variety of foods including international grocery items. They didn’t make a fuss about if the membership holder has to pay or the person with the membership holder can pay. You are getting the money either way. No one is saying to give it to us for free. The customer service rep told me they adhere to strict rules. Rules? It’s money do you want the money or do you just want us to not pay and run out? Pathetic.

I dont think Ive ever got anything here that isnt wonderful. Any time Ive had to exchange something, its handled graciously and efficiently. The tire department folks are exceptional!! Recently Chris dropped everything when I dropped in with a low-tire issue. Turns out it was a nail. New tire, all set, so quickly. I love CostCo!!!

Been a member of Costco for years and we just had the worst experience at this Store. Been standing in line for a few minutes and the Customer Service Rep(older lady, black hair around shoulder length with a bang) started to assist persons behind us. Being a black woman in America and with all thats going on, i would hate to think the color of my skin would make me less deserving of quality service. My home store is in Sun Prairie and Ive never experienced this, very sad but I will never be back to the Middleton store.

First timer, push a little to up membership but I was fine with it. Need bigger selection of bourbon in 750 ml. Will return.

Our visit was not very well accepted. After spending over $450.00 at this Costco in Madison, Wi, my daughter and myself were very disappointed. We will not be returning. The personnel were very rude, there were NO boxes to help w/ our groceries and items were discontinued. It saddens me to say we will stop patronizing this Costco and it only seems to be at this Costco. Maybe their management needs to make some changes. Thank you for asking about our visit.

We love Costco and have been members for over 10 years! Another reason they are amazing is that they have some pet medications. We were traveling out of town and our dog needed a refill. They had the medication and made the process easy! They said once a prescription is filled for our dog it can be refilled at any Costco! Our dog got what he needed on our vacation!

Very crowded on a Saturday. Was able to find everything I was looking for and not a long wait to check out.

Aside from the crowd, which always happens on a holiday weekend, going to this Costco has always been a positive experience. Place is well-organized, typically well-stocked.

Great selection of items, found virtually everything I needed, and staff were friendly.

Not only they check your items during checkout by two of their staff, they also check your receipt when you are exiting from the front doors, meaning that each customer is considered as a potential thief in Costco’s view. It is very surprising that they stop you during exit only to double check your receipt! That is the greedy Costco which also charges its customers for membership annually and treating them like stealers.

Its a nice place to shop butt...if you find something you like,and go back if its gone its gone 😐

I love shopping at this Costco location and the staff are always super friendly and great at doing their job, however I have a bit of constructive criticism to add.1) the store should open earlier.2) I wish the employees would back off a bit on shoppers when they are entering and exiting the store. I know its their job and I understand theyre not in control of the policies in place for loss prevention and customer experience, however:2a. Getting chased down (I have had an employee literally follow me yelling maam to see my membership card before) in the store to show my membership card the moment I walk through the door when we have to show our IDs to check out anyway is excessive.2b. If Im using self checkout it is because I want to check myself out. I really dont want an employee coming up to me and explaining the register to me like Im 5 years old and then proceeding to scan all of my items for me. Again, I know theyre just trying to be helpful but having multiple employees crowd you is a lot to handle. In addition, having to get my receipt checked to leave self checkout when I also have to get my receipt checked to leave the store is also excessive and time consuming.Again, totally grateful for employees and I know theyre just doing their job, but between my social anxiety and the pandemic its just really frustrating to constantly be bombarded by staff the whole time Im trying to get in and out.

Great prices, friendly staff and large variety of items. Wholesale prices generally are cheaper than non on sale items in grocery stores. Definitely recommend it, especially for families with large members. The food court has a nice variety of options and relatively inexpensive. Definitely recommend that chicken bake as its hot and fresh and only 3$.

Costco has almost everything you need, but in large quantities. I love coming here, except when its busy. When its busy there are some major intersections that get clogged up and I wish they would organize their clothing better. All in all, I love costco. They have some really good healthy products and tons of dried fruit and great produce.

Great selection, though I wish they had lime juice. I couldnt find it anywhere.

Ok so we.went for the first time. In getting the card we were there for about a half hour due.to the clerk trying to upgrade us or.sell us additional things. My patience was wearing thin but the lady was still nice and polite. I told her that I researched the upgrade but she still kept.trying to sell. I am sure that is how Costco trains their employees. But once we were finally finished with that, we got to shop. There are lots of cheaper Keto items and for.the most part, things.were cheaper. The only reason for 4 stars is their high pressure for selling extras. They ask personal questions without telling us WHY they want to know! Ugh.

Costco has excellent products at reasonable prices. Also I love their gas stations.

Cleaned up, repaired and reopened after the flooding a few months back. Has almost everything you need. From food, produce, electronics, cleaning supplies, and alcohol.Easy to get around the store. But when it is crowded it is not as easy to do. Checking out can take sometime as well when the store is busy. Friendly and helpful staff.

Was a madhouse in there today, but was very pleased with how quickly they got us all through the lines. I found items I had not found in awhile & the fruits looked fantastic. Did not have to pick through containers to find a good one.

Review for Truckers. Was a live unload, had salt from Cargill, 17 pallets, 42k lbs. 6am appt, got a dock right away, empty in 15min.

Always very very busy! But they do a decent job of trying to prevent the spread of Covid 19. Would be hard to set up one ways in a big store like that. I love it! Prices are great!

Staff is usually always helpful in locating things! Sometimes the checkout lines can be a little long especially if you are going in to grab only an item or two. Gas prices are superb there as well.

Busy just about every day, but during the week around midday is not as bad.

Its Costco. When it comes to buying clubs theres no better. Plus, you get to feel good about how the employees are treated. I have a friend who works there, and he speaks highly of his wages and benefits.If they had smaller sizes for some of their items I might never have to go to Aldis at all. But its still a regular stop for me, and the membership has paid for itself many times over.

Costco is always an experience. Every year I debate the value of the Executive Gold Star Membership and every year I do it again because I am there. Next I cruise the aisles knowing that something I want is no longer carried or it has been moved far from its usual location. The result of course is that I spend far longer in the store than I want to and I buy organic substitutes that I dont particularly need. Afterwards I am annoyed because I must go to other stores to get the remaining items on my list. If I had skipped Costco I could have shopped at one store, my purchases could have been in quantities that actually fit in my pantry and I could be home having a beer. The Costco novelty is wearing off. Maybe I will make a different decision next year. Probably not.

Costco rocks but its best to go at an off hour so its not so busy later at night makes for easier shopping.

The general chaos of this store keeps me away. I try to limit my runs to super runs instead of frequent small trips because the parking lot layout is so terrible that I feel like someone almost always is about to get in an accident there. Theres never really a time this costco isnt super busy either, so if I can I try to hit up the sun prairie one instead.

I enjoyed my experience at Costco but found the store to be slightly difficult to navigate. The grocery section isn’t very intuitively organized. This made the whole experience a bit overwhelming, in my opinion.

The store is nice but the one thang I didnt like was the employee talking down to the insta cart shopper and then continued to insult him to another worker. It was wrong the employees shouldnt Harass or bully other people who shop for other people.

Gotta love Costco. Good quality items zt wholesale price.

Just 4 because i bought last year a pair o of winter boots for my 6 year old son and they didnt last even a couple months. I had obtained better quality from other brands. In general you can get good deals in many things.

Sams Club Madison definitely had better pricing/deals overall, & the membership fee was about half that of Costco. But it is possible to find some good deals here too, so it is worth checking out. I give it 3 1/2 to 4 stars, depending on what pricing I find.

I love Costco and it is the primary place I shop for EVERYTHING. But I have been very disappointed lately with the quality of the Kirkland bacon. It used to be awesome, but now if very fatty with lots of waste. My last purchase had to top pack with a later ‘use by’ date than the other wrapped packages that could not be viewed. I hope that this changes.

Love Costco for cheap staples in quantity, like rice, paper towels and cleaning supplies. Customers are pretty careless about dropping their used surgical gloves in the parking lot though. We can do better.

This Costco has had many vegetarian and vegan items regularly stocked which is lovely. The produce is always fresh. During COVID the other patrons have been doing a decent job of physically distancing and wearing masks. There are no arrows that guide traffic, but most people do a good job of avoiding others.

Excellent assortment of organic frozen fruits, among many of the other massive bulk sizes one expects from this retailer. The carts are oversized and dont make much sense if your purpose is only to acquire a few items. Alas, could be a strategic marketing ploy to stack a large screen TV box in the cart. 😉

Costco is a great place to shop to get what you need. They have everything from groceries to gas. They also have an area where you can order food if you get hungry on your way out. They have lots of registers so you can check out fast and efficiently. Over all Costco is an amazing place to get your house hold needs.

Costco is great, but they let people in without masks. A lady had just a face shield on and no mask. A face shield is NOT an acceptible substitute for a mask and the fact that they let her in put every one if their other customers in danger. I definitely will not be returning.

Everyone I dealt with was excellent to work with! The fellow at the register was so upbeat and positive. I had to return an item but live a distance from Costco so won’t be back for a few months. The woman in customer service was so accommodating. Top notch all around!
