Went to a couple golf cart places. End up using Hilt Custom Carts. They worked with my family to get a cart that we all like. Took a plain looking golf cart. turned it into a awesome looking golf cart.

Drove about 50 minutes to get here was told that they only had one golf cart for sale that was a six-passenger only needed a four. Messaged the gentleman I had been talking with when I got home to express my disappointment he was quick to reply and after sometime of talking I am headed back out there today to see if they can get me into the golf cart I want with the options I need. Im giving a four-star simply because not of the visit to the establishment but the dealing with the individual through Facebook and email. Very friendly and helpful.

This place is HORRIBLE. In 2019 I took my 2018 Star golf cart that I bought at a school auction to find out why it did not work. The mechanic said the controller is getting no response and the that it would need to be replaced. And the solenoid connected with it needs replaced. We said ok call us when you get it fixed. AT LEAST 2 months pass and we called them probably 5 times asking why is it taking so long. Anyway we get a call 2 months later that shes running great and the bill would be around $500, which we were fine with. We test drive it in the parking lot and it seems to run great. When we take it home and drive around for maybe 5 minutes max, all of the sudden I smell burning plastic and the golf cart would not go. We take the cover off and find out that the solenoid wires burnt completely. We call them and they said bring it back and we will fix it. When we brought it back I told the mechanic and Bill that the key on/off does not work and that it runs even if the key is in the off position. They never looked into that at all. They sent the solenoid back to the company to get rebuilt. We wait another month and a half (total of 3 & 1/2 months wait time). Finally they call and tell us to pick it up and there would be no charge since they had 60 day warranty on the part they installed. about 80-90 days later THE EXACT SAME THING happened, the solenoid burnt. Except we are passed the 60 day warranty. I call them and they said there is nothing they can do about it unless we pay them. Which we gave them $500 and they took 3 & 1/2 months to repair it. We take it to a private company to find out why it was burning and to find out why the key on/off was not working. Come to find out Hilt Custom Carts put on a cheap solenoid on the golf cart. Also found out the golf cart was hot wired at the school for whatever reason. So the golf cart was always running even parked. The electronics never had time to cool off. And this new guy we took it to fixed it in 1 week. Replaced the solenoid with a high quality one, he fixed the on/off switch to how it should of been. Unlike Hilt Custom Carts who completely ignored my concern about the golf cart running weather the key was in the on/off position. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Also a customer just had his golf cart stolen from hilt custom carts. They must of moved locations to a safe part of town.

First of all this place is a joke, they have had my golf cart for a year and a half. Off and on they would let us know what was happening but the last 7-12 months there was no contact. Apparently they worked on it off and on and left it sit for 6 months and just decided to work on it again. The whole time they were replacing parts that my cart didnt need up until they found the broken part. Sort of like a trial and error type thing. All was replaced and never put the unbroken parts back on my golf cart. All while I was not aware of any of it they were charging me for parts that my cart didnt need. Never once asking or telling me what they were doing. If I had known they were charging me for parts my cart didnt need id have taken my business elsewhere. Soooo 1300 dollars later they want their money? Um no I refused to pay that much for the 1 part my cart needed. Now he is threatening me that he will get a new title made for my cart and basically steal it from me to sell the cart out from under me and also threatened me with a lawyer. So I told him I had a lawyer too and they would be in touch. I have never had such a bad experience with a company in my life.

Its a great place if you dont want your golf cart back in a timely manner and the pricing is a little outrageous I was told $125 an hour not sure whether that parts true or not and they dont offer a loaner while theyre fixing yours so be prepared to be without your golf cart at least three weeks to a month

My cart i bought from them 25 years ago still runs great! Thrilled with the purchase! I wish everything worked as well as their products.

Purchased a 2016 EZ-GO custom cart from them. From the time I contacted them via phone and throughout the whole buying process, they were very friendly and super helpful. I would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a Golf Cart.

Very helpful and considerate. Also local to all people in Middletown OH. They have all ezgo parts either used or new in stock always. You can take your golf cart in on trade or buy a used or new one.
