I wish I had seen these reviews before I called. Our AC stopped working. I sent a message on their website telling them the make, and model of the HVAC. I also told them that the prior AC guy said that we might have to replace the mother board. They came out didnt even look at the mother board. My hubby said he said something about a sensor and by the time my hubby had finished speaking to me he had made the repair ( without quoting a price, without being given the ok to proceed) basically said if we want to keep the air going we had to pay him. This is what Mark said to him. This cost us over $400. My hubby said why so much and his response was well it cost to put it in. He wasnt even there an hour. This was on a Friday. On Sunday July 4th it stopped working again. I called them again and when someone finally called me back he gave me attitude on the phone. So I let my hubby talk to them. Dont know who came out BUT they said we needed a new mother board ( which should have been checked previously) guy said to get the AC working he bypassed the board and left saying hed call us 7-6. He also didnt tell us we couldnt adjust or turn off the air when he left. Today is 7-6. HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM. At this point in time WE ARE DONE DEALING WITH THEM AS THEY ARE CLEARLY INCOMPETENT. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY WHATEVER YOU DO. THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER. THEY EVIDENTLY HIRE INCOMPETENT PEOPLE. Update: company responded. Hes gonna believe his employee cause his employee Mark sure isnt going to admit he never quoted anything just handed my husband an invoice. I believe my husband. We had our system fixed NOT FOR THE $500+ amount he quoted in his response but, for only $192. The tech that came in from VIKING HEATING & AIR said the way the system was rigged to give us air conditioning SHOULD NEVER EVER BE DONE LIKE THAT. I feel as though Robinson should pay what is going to be an outlandish electric bill since we couldnt turn off or adjust the temp. This company has a history of OVER CHARGING. A friend told us after he heard we called them that he wanted a new system. Robinson quoted $12k. He got his new system for a little over $3k FROM VIKING. If VIKING HEATING AND AIR can service your area CALL THEM! You wont be disappointed. Will warn EVERYONE I know to NEVER EVER USE ROBINSON.

Excellent service - prompt & professional

This company should never exist. I located this company on the Internet and ask them to do preventative maintenance so I paid for a plan and they came out to do my summer check. Let’s start off by saying .... the technician did not have the appropriate tools to take off the covers that are on the Freon valves. So needless to say they couldn’t even check my levels. At this point I decided that this company was worthless and paid the preventative maintenance charge. Approximately a month ago this company sent me a letter telling me they owe me a service. So at this time I thought I would give this company a second chance they tell me they can have somebody else same-day great. I asked the gentleman on the phone do you have an electrician he says yes I’ll send the information over to him and he will contact you. Well I received a call from a guy name Steve I guess this is the electrician I spoke to him around 1:17 PM on Friday told him the job and the guy never quoted me a price I didn’t think the price could be much because all it was was putting two receptacles in a box the wires are already there just terminating them. And changing out breakers and moving wires around inside the breaker panel which for the breakers which I had already purchased. By this point it can’t be that much I am thinking I got all the parts and the guy I talk to him at 1:17 PM on Friday and he departed my house before 4 PM. So let’s fast forward to today the guy was going to come back and put some breakers in and I asked him how much is my bill this guy tells me $320 for 3 1/2 hour service well if I talk to you at 1:17 and he departed my house at 4 o’clock o’clock .How is that 3 1/2 hours these people do nothing but price gouge needless to say I also ask them for the owner of this company to reach out to me because I want A splitless duck system but guess what I still haven’t got a call from them either my word device to you if you’re looking for a company to do business this is a company you want to stay away from . .

Service call fee 95 dollars, tech showed up installed new thermostat which worked and gave my mom heat. Told her it would be $400 to install, which ironically was already installed maybe took 20 minutes. She said that price was crazy so he uninstalled the one that worked, reinstalled the old one that didn’t work and left. This was for my mother who is an elderly woman, lives by herself and is disabled.Supervisor didn’t return my call, he then told me it was a $300 service so no one really knows how much anything costs. My mom is still without heat in December.

Excellent service cant beat them

I read the reviews and responses from the owner as well as asked my neighbor for recommendations before calling. That being said, yes they are expensive and the mark up on parts is huge. But cost of parts doesnt matter if you dont know what you need. Yes I couldve gotten the parts for 1/4 the repair cost if I knew what I needed and was willing to wait. However these guys (tech Phil) showed up on a Saturday evening within 45 minutes of me calling and had my A/C back up and running in a little over an hour. So as far as customer service they were excellent.

Prompt service & professional service tech. BUT, very expensive. I understand $95 for the diagnosis of the problem. However, they wanted an additional $193.61 to replace a $3 switch which, I replaced in 10 minutes.

They dont return phone calls

This is a nice family owned business that does great work. I called in the morning to have my ac unit checked. They came out within a few hours and had me back up and cooling in no time.

Great Service, excellent people. Woke up with no heat, Robinsons quickly sent out a repairman. Needed a new furnace, they installed a new furnace the next day.

Robinson did a great job in replacing our AC unit, I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a new AC unit.

Best of the Best! If you are looking for an an honest and professional Heating & Air company this is the one! Tech Randy Jackson was awesome and he provided me with a service contract that not only made sense but it saved me tons of money!

I just wanted to thank Robinson heating and air for giving my mother-in-law such an outrageous price to repair a condenser fan motor that I ended up just going and doing it myself. You should be ashamed of yourself with such an obscene pricing scheme as to try to price yourself into a new equipment installation ( which in your defense you are not the only HVAC contractor guilty of doing this I can name several others and most of them are the ones advertising on the radio). As evidenced to quoting my mother-in-law $750 to replace a $80 part that takes an hour to get to. As far as troubleshooting it takes about 5 minutes to diagnose a bad condenser fan motor which had a dead short in it by the way. Now for everyone reading this review do yourselves a favor and plan your furnace and air conditioning replacement before it breaks in the middle of winter or the middle of summer when you a really we need it and these contractors come in to take advantage of you. Btw new furnace and ac equipment averages $2400 just saying. I guess I should mention I am a journeyman HVAC with 20 years exp and a project manager who manages million plus. If Robinson would have gave a decent price say less than 350 or 400 I would have told her to let them do it and yall would have heard a peep but I cant sit by and watch people taken advantage of.This was owners reply see my response below thisTrailerpark Nick, thank you for your feed back. Although you may think our price is outrageous that is your opinion we know what we have to charge to remain in business. We have never claimed to be as cheap as Chuck in a truck (any of the one man outfits out there). We work on a flat rate pricing structure so all customers pay the same price for the same task. If the only complaints I receive is an occasional complaint by someone who thinks we charge to much we must be doing something right.Your price is outrageous and takes advantage of a situation. I will send one of my union techs out next time at 90$ an hour and do it for $450 on a service call. Ill do you a favor and not post my business phone number on here. As far as chuck in a truck I wasnt aware you were much larger than that which is why 750 is crazy. There are also alot more 1 star reviews than just mine while I have yet to have a customer who has been left less than happy with my services at the end of the day.

Needed a condensate pump replaced. $95 for diagnostic house call and $490.60 to replace the $40 pump. This is a plastic pump that plugs in and a pvc pipe from the ac unit drains into a port in the top. A rubber tube runs from the pump into the drain. Not difficult or time consuming. Called around and this price is about $350 higher than three others in the area. Severe case of price gouging. Have used and trusted them for years, but will not work for me or mine again. Registered a complaint with the shop and after a long conversation, was told to take my business elsewhere. No problem there.Debbie Clements

Terrible electric service and heating and air do not use overpriced

The person who I paid $95 to come out and look at my furnace for 5 minutes was extremely rude and didn’t answer any of my questions. He said that they needed to come out and inject dye to find a coolant leak but the next quote I got (which was free) discovered that dye had already been injected by the previous homeowners and found all of the leaks.In summary their employees are not trained very well and are extremely rude. Also no one should ever charge for just coming out to look at an issue.
