Went in looked around. Looking for recliner that I didn’t have to wait for. The had a few. Salesman/manager let us know he was there. We told him we would let him know if we needed him. Really nice guy gave us our space. Showed him what we liked but told him we had to go look around some. Left went to about 5 more stores in area and went back to Lazy-boy. Got a recliner that wasn’t one of my first options! Smooth sale! Smooth pickup at back of bldg! No pressure. Love the chair!

We purchased the Paxton from the Middletown NY location in mid to late April, got it in End of July. About 10 weeks earlier than the estimate wait time they gave us (due to pandemic, its industry wide delays). Beautiful couch, very comfortable. Worth the wait! Our sales person was great, and finalizing the purchase with their customer service was easy. Delivery guys were exceptional and friendly. We will definitely be back. THANKS

My wife and I enjoyed walking into the show room and we were greeted by Wendy. She ask if need help with anything specific and we told here no we were just looking. She then told us to look around and if we need any help to let here know. We have been to other stores and the sales person is right on top of you. We just want to look and Wendy let us do that. And we did find a few things we liked and Wendy was extremely helpful and gave us good advice. We did order two Fletcher high leg reclining chairs. We will be back when it’s time for the next room that needs furniture.

Our Experiences at the La-Z Boy Gallery on Schutt Road in Middletown, NY was outstanding. August 2021. All the staff was very helpful. In our many visits we dealt with Sean, Shawn and Jeremy and they all gave us plenty of alone time to search out and try our their display models. When we needed help they were there with answers. There was no pressure to purchase; instead there was an attitude of kindness, humor and consideration. This kind of sales attitude shows excellent administrative (lead by example, top-down) management. About the store, the showroom is apparently one of the largest in the area (I know because I called a few and they could not match the variety of inventory, for example it is the only store in a 150 mile radius (including NY, NJ and PA) to have a Morrison sofa on the floor.) We did purchase a recliner and sofa set. We did take our time choosing our model and special fabrics, so we will have to wait for our product to be made and our sofa and recliner to arrive. From our past experiences we have a La-Z-Boy recliner that is over 20 years old and it is still very nice. In conclusion I would gladly recommend the Middletown La-Z Boy Furniture Gallery it was an outstanding experience for us.

The salesperson I believe his name was Zula was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and at the same time gave us lots of space to make decisions. He was great! The inventory was great. It was so incredible that we got 2 chairs and surprisingly enough to us an area rug. He said they’d hold it until we closed on our new place!

The only issue I had was that I wasLooking for a particular recliner and two sakesPeople directed me to one in the floor and said I could have that one immediately. The stock was broken and wabbly and the wall hugger (was that whY it was called)Just flopped back on its own accord when not resting on another recliner. Great atmosphere, very polite staff, no one rushing you or constantly hovering over you to purchase something. Was there with my wife a few days ago; just to look I said softly...lol; we walked in with a friendly greeting by all. A Gentleman 🕴️ by the name of Sean Bowden in particular, introduced himself & said if we need anything to please let him know, to which we replied thank you. The misses and I were just seriously going to just look...the recliner i have now left NYC; beat up, worn down, & slightly leaning to the right; with me after living in a 10x12 room I rented. Now I have so much room to play with, I thought it would be about time for a new 1 soon. We tried all the recliners. We agreed on 2 that we liked, so even the misses loved it so much that she said you might get your seat stolen if I get up....lol ....she wasnt joking. Sales rep was very helpful and provided information about the item we were shopping for. We found a recliner that met our specifications and value. We were not too happy about the item not being in stock and having to wait until August to receive it. The sales transaction also did take a little long to complete.

Ive been a lazy boy customer for at least 25 years probably have spent close to 25 grand on furniture there and Im always completely satisfied. And Zhuri ( my salesman for the past couple of years at the Middletown Ny store) is absolutely fabulous. I highly recommend lazy boy products.

Purchased a new reclining sofa and loveseat. Last lazyboy reclining sofa we had lasted 18 years. This sofa was in stock and delivered 5 days later. Nice sofa and am hoping for another 18 year’s. Unfortunately we have to wait 3 months for the reclining loveseat. Sofa is comfortable and nice looking.

The delivery of our new recliner was seamless. We got a call giving a time frame, a call to confirm and an email with an exact time. The truck was an hour early. The delivery crew were polite, conscientious about handling the chair and made sure they didn’t damage anything. They were great.

The salesman and associates very nice with original purchase on Feb 10. We stressed that sofa needed by mid March and told no issues and delivery will call me. Sectional and recliner delivery by mid-May.No call. Customer service waiting time very long so I called store today March 18. Couch still at plant and delivery estimate is not available for 3 more weeks!!

Great selection of moderate to moderately-high priced Furniture but the phrase you get what you pay for is true. Most of the furniture appeared very durable and of good quality . The plus of being able to choose your own material and patterns really improves and expands your options. Variety of styles modern to traditional and contemporary; and the staff were great. They were not annoying and accepted the answer I am looking and I really dont know yet as an answer to can I help you? They did offer water and after 20 minutes of wandering they asked if there was anything in particular that they could explain or show us. Our response of not really and a short explanation seemed to satisfy them that we were truly looking.

I was very happy with my experience at La-Z Boy of Middletown.When starting my quest for my new reclinerThe first thing I noticed was a sheet of paper in plastic on every chair that lets you know if you can try that chair. It was letting you know if it was sanitized and after trying it you turn the paper over to let everyone know not to be seated yet.When visiting the restroom I noticed how equipped they were for saftey. There were sprays and wipes gloves and sanitizer for your hands.I purchased a chair that felt like a cloud. When signing papers again I noticed 2 containers for pens. One used and one new.More sanitizer. They have a vast variety of recliner, chairs and more. Every color and style youj could ask for and they have gone the extra regarding safety.Thank you for ALL your help to make my trip a very successful and safe as well.

First they did not key my order into the system fast enough and someone else got our chair after being told they had it in stock. Then after selecting another chair for $150 more, we were told it would be in the end of the month (Two weeks). Then we get a call saying it will be in on the 8th (Three weeks). Then we get a call saying there is a problem with the trucking and it wont get in now until the 29th (Six weeks). If you have plenty of time to wait and you like to be lied to then shop here. Otherwise do not!

Delivery of my furniture was a disaster. the delivery people damaged my door as they were bringing the furniture in and out, and 2 plus months later i am still waiting for someone to come and assess the damage. Doug from retail delivery will not return an email and Glenda who is suppose to be handling the claim will not return a call or message. the store manager Shawn is trying to help but to no avail. Furniture is great but the door incident has ruined the experience. beware of delivery of your product.

La-Z Boy Middletown was fantastic to shop from! Heres why:- When I called to place my order over-the-phone, the sales associate (Shawn Bremer) was super kind and helpful. He answered all of my questions and placed my order for me.- I failed to measure my entryways to make sure the furniture I ordered would actually fit (Ive never owned a sofa that came pre-assembled). I called to see what my options were, as I did not believe a 40x86x37 sofa would fit through my 29 doorways. A different associate assured me that the delivery team was well experienced in getting furniture through tight spaces. Sure enough, come the day of the delivery, the two gentlemen who helped me made it look like a breeze to get the sofa into my apartment, without me having to do a thing.- I was given a 4-6 month lead time when I placed my order; the sofa ended up taking only 2 months from the time I placed my order to be built and delivered.- The sofa itself is FANTASTIC. Easily the comfiest sofa Ive ever used, and its so, so cute. I purchased an Aberdeen stationary sofa in Admiral Blue iClean fabric, and goodness it is striking. It looks even better in person than it did online, and its soft too. I upgraded to the ComfortCore Gel cushions, and I highly recommend anyone else ordering from La-Z Boy upgrade if you are able. Its so comfortable that I find myself accidentally falling asleep on this thing daily.Ive only owned the couch for a week so far, so I will update the review if there is anything worth noting as I use my couch for longer. However, Ive been impressed both with the sofa quality and with the sales team at La-Z Boy Middletown. They really surpassed all of my expectations with my furniture purchase.

We went to La Z Boy (Middletown NY Store) with the intention of purchasing a living room set and did end up purchasing one for a house yet to be built. We knew this would be difficult and were excited to meet with the Designer Lara. She immensely helped us based off of our plans and in fact had the sale all by her self - what she came up with fit the space perfectly. She is the only reason we even purchased anything because... well... We also worked with Don who was the floor sales person.If you end up walking into the store and working with Don, Id quite frankly just do a 180 and walk right back out the store. So why did we have a problem with Don and why is this review 1 star? Well, were nearly a year into COVID-19 pandemic and Don couldnt show us the respect and decency to stay any distance from us, in fact, at one point he leaned within a foot of me and my fiancées faces. Second, he straight up LIED to us about the fact we could return a custom ordered piece with no penalty - we later confirmed this was a lie with the sales manager while checking out. Third - while discussing numbers, I read what he had written down on a pad (not hard it was in bright red marker) and listened to the numbers he said out loud and they were COMPLETELY different. He would say higher numbers to make it seem like we were getting a better deal. When I asked how much tax would be on the sale, he just said a low number not bothering to even check it with a calculator. So I opened my phone and began to do the sales tax on my own since he was literally just making it up - I knew the number he gave was wrong just doing the math in my head. Finally, whenever my fiancée would ask a question, he would go off on some wild tangent that did not answer the question she asked, multiple times I had to cut him off to tell him that was not what she was asking. He also made us feel uncomfortable when he started to flirt with the designer by saying If I wasnt married for 47 years I would have her number while talking to us and the designer. It was very ironic considering when I looked at Dons ring finger there was no ring at all. So what am I getting at? If you work with him, and dont do your 180 to go some place else to purchase the furniture, and want to know if hes lying, just see if his mouth is open and his lips are moving.Let me conclude this by saying this review is solely impacted by Don. We almost walked out of the store because of him regardless of how much we loved the furniture but ultimately ended up purchasing what was designed for us because we loved it - and even still I almost regret making the purchase because of how disrespectful he was towards us.This shouldnt be a reflection of all employees of this chain, but we had recently purchased a custom wood dining table from a locale store which was nearly double what we spent at La Z Boy and we didnt deal with any of this non-sense - truth be told if we werent buying so many appliances and pieces of furniture Id have spent the extra 4 or 5 grand to get the living room set custom made from them too just to forgo giving Don his commission check. Be very careful when dealing with their sales staff, it would not surprise me if there are some other rotten apples.

Our sales person Steven made the buying process extremely easy and made us feel very comfortable. It was an absolutely no pressure sale.

Even though we could not order with him because the items will be going to Georgia he spent time with us answering questions, going over information, getting swatches, just a superb job. We will order the items on line, but it saddens me that there is no way for Jeremy to be credited with the sale. He really made our experience a terrific one.

Ordered Recliner for my 97 year old Dad thru website.Karen at customer service called to tell me fabric discontinued & I had to choose another chair.Unfortunately, the new recliner would take five months...Karen went above & beyond to find me a floor model that will be delivered on11/18/20. I cant say enough about how great Carla the designer is! I went in with pictures of my living room, looking for some updated pieces to pull it together. She was.spot on with everything she picked. The area rug was on sale, and.i didnt realize it was a magnolia rug til it was delivered. I love Joanne. Anyway, I was unsure what my style was but Carla really pulled pictures and a mirror that are funky and match my sofa perfectly. We will eventually replace the couch but for now I am one happy lady.. Bonus, my husband liked everything as well.

Shawn is a great salesman. And by that I mean he let us look around with hovering over us like a helicopter, and he wasnt pushy. When we had questions he was right there to answer them. We didnt feel as though he was b.sing us. We wound up buying a couch that will be delivered in 2 weeks. The store had a beautiful selection of furniture. We were a bit overwhelmed because there was a lot to choose from. I highly recommend this store. And by the way, the store was very clean and the employees were diligent on complying to COVID cleaning procedures.

We had a terrible experience with a couch we bought from west elm about a year ago. At the same time we purchased a loveseat from la-z-boy that has been wonderful in comparison. After realizing we needed to replace our couch we decided to go with the brand that has been such a joy to relax on. Because of the pandemic we waited until we could go to a show room and see the product and pick the right fabric for our family. We drove upstate to a gallery showroom in Middletown, N.Y., and met Ritchie who was very accommodating and not pushy whatsoever. He gave us our space but was there when we had a question. We really enjoyed our experience and felt the environment was very safe and clean. If you are looking to upgrade or replace your current furniture now is the time, La-z-boy is offering interest free financing for 36 months and most of the furniture was 35% off! We are looking forward to our couch to come and be the centerpiece of our living room!

They dont give prices over the phone never heard such a thing its only a couch

My experience at Lazy Boy was mixed. On the one hand, it was very frustrating because we found the perfect chair in one of the leathers listed as a stock item for that chair and the price was great. However when the sales associate went to put through the sale it turned out that the chair was not available in that leather. So we had to start back at square one. Long story short, it was a very long process trying to find another leather fabric that would work along with the chair it could be used with. And most disappointing was that it ended up costing about $2,200 as opposed to $1,500. Also it took what seemed like an inordinate amount of time to complete the transaction online. So what I thought would take no longer than an hour turned into a 2 1/2 hour ordeal. Hopefully I will love the chair when it is delivered. On a positive note, the sales associate I worked with was very patient and accommodating, and took all the time necessary to make sure I was satisfied. I could tell it was frustrating for him too when the original chair we were looking at was not available in the listed fabric. I love the quality of lazy boy products but this kind of thing should not happen.

The salesman Sean Bowden at the Middletown NY store was very knowledgeable of the products and helped us navigate through the store easily. He made shopping for a new sofa set easy. I like the suggestions he gave and then let us have the time alone to discuss out thoughts to make a decision. We would definitely be recommending him to our friends and family.

The salesman called me and I said I would be there that afternoon. When I arrived to the store, it took more than 20 minutes for him to acknowledge my existence. Then another 20 minutes to speak with me about a chair I intended to purchase. About 20 minutes later he finally started working on the paperwork. And another 15 minutes and we finally got to work on the transaction.Thats over an hour turnaround on a purchase I intended to make before I had even entered the store. The salesman was not even apologetic for wasting my time.By comparison, Ashley furniture was able to complete my entire transaction inside 20 minutes of when I decided to make a purchase.
