I was promptly greeted as I entered the store. The interior looked welcoming, felt cozy, and had character. The iced mocha was great, and the peanut butter bar I got was superb. Both people working were very friendly. Ive worked in coffee shops in the past. Espresso Milano felt like a shop where the people love their work and really want to share that feeling with customers.

Enjoyed a nice little visit here. Had a delicious cold brew and the kid had what she described as the best hot chocolate of her life.

Best coffee shop Ive ever been to. The staff is friendly and helpful. One of the baristas makes homemade reusable coffee sleeves for sale near the register, that I highly recommend! The coffee is strong and delicious and the atmosphere is nice. If you cant make up your mind on your drink choice theres a wheel of indecision that I keep meaning to try..... Anyways this little coffee spot is great! Go try it for yourself

Coffee here is the best. Yesterday I got the Mocha and it was really really good, however the almind poppy seed muffin was the WORST Ive ever had anywhere! I wish the barista told me that it was not fresh at all like literally it was hard as a rock, I thought maybe inside could be softer, but nope, super dryIm really disappointed for the money I wasted on it😞! The problem is I didnt have time to go back again and ask for another one or a refund!

Update: my favorite coffee house has vindicated themselves, the pic that actually looks like a cappuccino is the best, driest cappucino I have had in longer than I can remember. The foam was dense, mounded beyond the rim of the cup and extended half way down into the cup, heavenly and absolutely perfect. Thank you for restoring my faith. Edit: it is with a heavy heart I update this review. This morning I stopped at Espresso Milano for a dry cappuccino, Ive included a picture with this update because what I received barely could be considered a cappuccino and was definitely not dry in any sense of the word. I always ask that they not put a lid on my cappuccino because only an uncultured heathen would do that and ruin the foam, but it wouldnt have mattered this time because the foam was more like milk bubbles that popped away on their own to leave what you see, basically a latte and definitely not what I ordered. Espresso Milano has been my favorite coffee shop since they opened in the late 1990s. No matter if Im in the mood for a dry cappuccino or a candy bar flavored coffee drink the baristas made it perfect every time, until now...

Great place to enjoy a bagel and coffee

Ive been here a few times. All my previous visits were more than satisfactory. However, I just had quite a bad experience. I ordered a 20 oz cococcino (mochaccino mexicano). Ive had this before and it was good. This time is was OVER HALF foam. I initially didnt want to say anything but then I reasoned that I payed over 5 dollars for it. But their excuse was that cappuccinos are half foam... which is just straight up wrong. They are 25%-33% foam. NOT over half. Ill ask about it next time I visit. This is one of my favorite coffee shops. I really hope this was a one time offense.

Small, very nice little coffee shop in Downtown Midland. Excellent atmosphere for someone looking to have a place to work or study, or have a conversation with someone. The service was very quick and the latte that I got was great. While there, another patron spilled their drink and the barista was more than happy to remake it for them and clean up the mess. Will definitely be back.

Helpful staff and a pretty decent cold brew. Traditional small fare as far as food goes, as well as a cooler offering specialty soft drinks, kombucha and waters.Take a spin on the Wheel of Indecision if youre not the assertive type, and itll order for you.

I love it but I just feel like theres something missing. Great coffee, tea, and hot Chocolate. The bagels are super good.

Expensive but nice service

The atmosphere, is warm, cozy, friendly and inviting. The staff has always been funny, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The coffee, tea, and other various beverages are delicious! They also offer vegan and gluten free baked goodies. A nice place to sit and talk, grab a cup and go, or hangout for a while and study. By far one of my favorite coffee places in Midland and the surrounding areas. I always recommend out of town friends visit here when they come to town or I will take them here for drinks!

I had a hot chocolate and some biscotti. I was disappointed that the frequent-costomer-punch-card didnt include hot chocolate. I dont drink coffee. Otherwise, the place was fine. A little dark (despite huge windows), and the music was a little loud for the acoustics of the place. But a great location and the service was patient and friendly.

I love this place. You do have to spring at least $3.50 on a cup of coffee though. But you can chill here on WiFi, and they got some really good peanut butter bars. The Frozen smoothies are sweet too. You have to get a Mudslide if you go here.

My favorite place to hangout that does not serve craft beer. LOL Easily the best coffee in the area. Their Milky Ways are to die for, tea is superb. The best service too. Even on your first trip in they will treat you like you are an old friend. A changing gallery of art lines the walls, and an eclectic collection of local bands and musicians regularly play there. the patrons tend to be nice, intelligent types too. Never see fights or the like. really a wonderful place.

Whether you are wearing a three piece suit or paint stained rags youll enjoy your morning cup at these tables. I do think the ceiling treatment is a bit dated,a nice simple wood ceiling would get that last star from me.

Great coffee with good service. Im an early morning regular during the week and they know exactly what I want. Like most authentic coffee shops, they dont handle a crowd very quickly, but coffee made to order takes time. This is probably one of the best places to get work on the computer done in Midland. I highly recommend it!

Went in this morning to meet a friend for coffee. The employees were polite but not overly engaging, the atmosphere was great and I enjoyed my snickers mocha was very tasty. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and it was toasted perfectly and not burnt at all. All in all it was a good experience and I will be back again.

Espresso Milano has a nice and artistic atmosphere. Nice display of baked goods, coffee ☕, and tea☕selection. The only negative for me was the seating area, it seemed a little tight, but couldve been due to that time frame being a rush.

I went to Expresso Milano to get a 16 oz Almond Joy latte with almond milk. The drink was good but I will not be going back since they charged $8.58! I saw on their menu board the drink is $5.50 so I guess that means they charged an extra $2.50 to use almond milk. My friend told me they don’t even pay that in Chicago!

They always have great unique drinks to fit the season, and delicious coffee at a reasonable price. Plus the staff is always friendly. Never had a bad experience there.

A sentimental favorite. The coffee is good. They put a lot of effort into specialty drinks based on the season & temperature. They desperately need new tables & chairs, but l simply love this place. Why? The staff is stellar. I made some good friends here. Good people.

Espresso was watery and underextracted. Staff have extremely limited knowledge of traditional espresso based drinks. Your basic small town coffee shop, lots of flavoured drinks but their actual espresso beans have no flavor. Not for the coffee geek.

The Mudslide is the best summer drink I know of. The staff here is always super-friendly and willing to make suggestions. A nice place to get some work done.

I’ve been coming here a couple times a week to work on my online summer school class and have had nothing but positive experiences. They have a wide variety of tea and coffee and the staff is extremely kind. It’s never overcrowded or loud and they have free WiFi. Coffee and tea is a little expensive, but not anymore than a chain like Starbucks. Overall great coffee shop.

This is my go to espresso shop in Midland. Ive been a patron for 15 years and not only do they have the best coffee in town, the owners and baristas are the friendliest people! Great place to meet up with friends or get a little work done.

I stopped in here last year, ordered a coffee then sat down, inside. Apparently they didnt call your name when your coffee is done because I sat there for quite awhile. I finally went up to the counter to ask and my coffee had been sitting there, getting cold, not happy!This time I rode my bike here. Great bike parking right outside their establishment! Went in to order and this time I just ordered a regular coffee with the free refills. They had an organic Mexican coffee so that was my choice. I pumped the thermos to get only two small squirts of coffee. Not starting out well.I quickly mentioned it to the staff and they immediately started brewing more. I only had to wait a few minutes before the tasty, hot, organic coffee was ready.I love that they have different flavors of powders you can add along with sugar, honey and sweeteners.So I believe they have redeemed themselves, for now!Parking can be tricky with little parallel parking in front but as I mentioned the bike parking is right in front.Prices seem ok, if not a bit high. I paid $3.25 for a regular coffee that I fill myself.Atmosphere is casual. I didnt get the hippie feel other reviewers mentioned, but very casual. Seating inside is small with bar seating at the window and maybe 6 small tables. Outside seating is a bench, 2 very small tables and 2 picnic style tables with umbrellas.Ill probably be back to sit outside and maybe try one of the cold coffee selections, but Ill be sure to wait by the counter for my coffee 😁

LOVE the Diablo mocha, the staff are awesome and very attentive to the many guests that come through. It says something about a business when they remember your order when you are just occasional and not even a regular.
