I liked Ally, and frequently bought items from Ally. However, I took my bow there to be restrung and it has been a horrible experience. It took 3 weeks to get my bow to them, and then I received it back and you could not draw the bow back. Had multiple people attempt to and not one person could. I researched this issue and it was clear that Ally did not restring my bow properly. I reached out to them and they told me to bring it back. I let them know that the bow was restrung incorrectly and they said they would get it fixed. 2 days later I received a call from them informing me that one of my cams was bent. Then they blamed me for bending it. I let them know that it worked when I originally brought the bow to be restrung and that the cams were probably bent as many people attempted to draw the bow and all the pressure on it to figure out what was wrong. They told me I would need to replace the cam and that the item would need a to be ordered. They also said that it is not their fault that the cam was bent. YES IT IS! You did not restring my bow correctly and gave me the product saying it was all done. It has been over 3 weeks and I have still not heard back from them on my bow. I assume when I do hear from them they will expect me to pay for the problem their faulty workmanship caused. If that happens I will be back to lower my review to 1 star. This has been a terrible experience and I would suggest that people travel farther to get their items worked on because Ally does not know what they are doing when it comes to bows. Very frustrating, but I hope this review helps others who are contemplating having work done by the Ally shop.

Ally Cafe…A delicious spot for a wonderful lunch before spending some time on the range or just a lunch date.Everything we have had is amazing from the BBQ to the grilled cheese and tomato soup. And don’t forget about dessert.. always yummy.

The staff is very courteous and friendly. Unfortunately, still low on inventory. So if u want to use the range bring your own ammo. Clothing and accessories are great!!

Its a fantastic place for gun owners to get the best indoor range for the money. I really love the rental kimber I used and the selection of firearms for purchase is very good. Staff walked up and ensured I taken care of and even talked about browning x-bolt series for like 30min its like shopping with a friend.

Upon my first encounter, Mr. Justin helped me pick out the correct scope rings needed to mount my scope, which he also then did himself. Mr. Charles was there to answer questions as I waited for my rifle. After I checked out, the staff was kind enough to help me to my car with rifle and my boxes. The second time I visited your store, Mr. Charles not only remembered me by name but took the time to help me with some question I had about the differences between types of ammo. At no time was he anything but patient and kind, I appreciated so very much how he was not condescending at all with my complete lack of knowledge for this new world. Thank you so much for cultivating an environment where a novice such as myself can feel welcome to learn! I will definitely be back! First visit today. Very nice facility. Friendly and helpful staff. Centrally located. Pistol range is great. Lane rental fees are extremely reasonable. Being able to escape the West Texas heat is a game changer! Will definitely be back...

Ive been here several times. Every time I go there, MOST (not all) of the staff seems to act like theyre doing you a favor. I had them set my bow up and they charged $54 to tie in a peep and halfway set up a rest. I asked if they could tune my bow and they said they get it close and I would have to finish it on my own. Very poor archery service.

Definitely one of the most presentable gun shops Ive ever been to with a great selection. The only thing I was disappointed in was the lack of options regarding holsters. The location has great quality items so expect those higher prices.

Beautiful store. Guns on display to fondle. Many things to see in the store. Tav and Wheels, both of them are good to go. Take some cash and leave it for something you like.

They have a great selection of products. Pricing varies on their inventory but they seem to have reasonable prices on most of their firearms. But as always due your own price checks b4 buying anything. The Range is just awesome and the hours have expanded! It is pay by the hour which does make it more expensive than some of the other ranges in the area which are just pay once and shoot till you are finished. I have been to the range since the updated hours and I have made additional purchases.They have a cafe that serves great food. It seems to only be open during lunch and can get very busy. I have had several items off the menu and so far nothing as disappointed.The staff is top notch and friendly!!! Having a good staff matters to me! Dane is great to talk to and very knowledgeable.---------PreviousToday I wanted to go shooting just for 30 minutes. I got to the Range Desk at 5:37 pm. I asked if I could still shoot just for 30 minutes and I was willing to pay for the full 1 hr. The person was polite but told me they have a strict policy that 5:30 pm is the cutoff no exceptions. It stinks b/c most of the time my work schedule doesnt work with their hours of operation. Funny thing, I have bought a firearm from them (which was a great transaction) but due to Range hours Ive never been able to shoot it here. Trust me Ive tried to make it here in time to shoot so many times and so far no success 🙁

Great place! They have a small restaurant inside, 4 100yrd ranges, and quite a few pistol ranges, I personally never go to the pistol range so I don’t know how many there are. They have a good selection of guns you can rent as well as a couple of machine guns, so go try those defenitly while you are there. They have a gunsmith on site.

Just recently purchased a bow from Ally. The bow tech is very knowledgeable and super helpful. He got me set up and sighted in very quickly. Outstanding staff and selection. Great place to go

Only place Ive found that offers gluten free onion rings. In fact, this might be the most gluten free friendly restaurant in the area. All sandwiches are available on gluten free buns and most breadings (at least, ask employees for more info) are corn based and gluten free. This means if you have mild to moderate celiac disease/NCGI and enjoyed, say, fried fish and chips, you can safely order here. The food is delicious!

Great Service. First time to use the range. Had the ammo I needed.

I ordered 2 magazines a month ago was informed they would be in within the week and in stock, week goes by not there next week called not there 3rd week called agin not there hmm 4th week called still not there very next day I drove down to see what’s happening and they never ordered the magazines I wanted never placed but BUT HAPPY TO TAKE MY MONEY FOR THEM!!! Now I got new ones on the way agin not the ones I wanted half the size.

I was being waited on by an employee, another customer walked up and interrupted us, then the employee ignored me. I wasnt done. Well, I guess I was. Rude customer service.

Its a nice place that Midland has needed for a long time. The archery range is very nice, complete with bow stand/ground quivers. They dont have single-bullseye archery targets, but they do have triple targets and very nice 3D. The only problem is that the range was (at the time) advertised as 30 yards, but its actually 20 yards. Its the nicest archery range Ive ever seen.

I also experienced the unfriendly staffers at the gun range desk. Management needs to have a talk with the staff about who pays their paycheck. Pay attention Ally, your customers are speaking loudly.Revisited the store a few weeks later and was professionally greeted by none other than one of the owners. He was professional and very helpful. I hope his example wears off on the staff.

Walked in today, 6/8/2020 ready to make a purchase. Problem is, no one available to assist. Im a new gun own owner prospect, ready to purchase training, hand gun, ammunition and services, yet everyone looked at me as if I were an alien. Do the math, over a $1,000 in sales lost? Fool me once, wont happen again. Ally is for the experienced gun owner only.

This place is very clean, well organized and full of interesting products. There is a wide variety of guns to view on the walls and in cases. The shooting ranges are well built and simple to use. You can rent automatic weapons here for use in the range. All of the staff have been knowledgeable and happy to help each time Ive been there or called.

They will never see my family there again.My kids have been shooting their bows there since theyve been able to hold one up and now all of a sudden some new guy there says they are too young to use their indoor bow range. Funny how we were using it 2 days ago and for the last couple years. Through all the guns my family members and I have purchased there, all the bow equipment purchased there and all of sudden we get told by some rude new guy to take a hike.Ally will never see another dime of mine or of any family member of mine again.

Husband and I went for the first time looking for a gun safe. We were told over the phone that they sold liberty brand . We get to the store and the hospitality was horrible no greeting and it wasn’t even busy. We looked for ourselves and found nothing. We went to the counter and asked and was told no they didn’t sell the brand. They didn’t introduce us to any other guns safe. Just told no we don’t sell them. We will not being going back. We were looking forward to getting a family membership. Employees need to work on there hospitality and customer service.

First time in and I was blown away! For midland Texas to have a facility of this magnitude is just crazy! Everyone was very friendly. Had a great selection and firearms and accessories!

This place is amazing. I first found the Ally Cafe on Instagram, not realizing it was inside the indoor range. The food looked great so I figured we would try it out and then go shoot. I was blown away with how classy and clean it was. Something like this is just what Midland needed. The food was delicious, I got the white flatbread pizza. So yummy. Then we went over to rent a lane at the range. The pricing was affordable which was nice. But the staff was very informative and friendly. We had a lot of fun. Overall, the experience was great! I Can’t wait to go back. I’m also excited to see the development of the “Ally Village” across the street. It’s going to add some local flare to the area! Highly recommend!

I know Glocks dont bring a lot on the used market, But offering $150 for a G29 with 4 mags was a bit insulting.Post reply edit: the G29 offered was not worn using that word implies that it was beat up piece of junk, its not. The term safe queen applies here. While I understand youre in business to make money, (I would be too) $150 was too low. A frame alone is worth more than that.It probably would have been better to say you werent interested.

Update. I had to go to the local post office they showed me prove of delivery with the signature from someone at Ally,I took it to the manager he actually LOOKED for the item and found it appears to have been a misunderstanding he did waved the transfer fee. I am actually going to give them another try same part see what happens next.Well so far bad news Im actually in the store I had an FFL item shipped here my dealer send me a tracking number and a delivery confirmation email yesterday so I came to the store to pick it up and the lady at front said we dont know where it is I called my dealer and they said it shows its been delivered to this address!!! If they can find my package by the end of the day I for sure will change my one start review.

Even though I am not a hunter or a fisherman, I was given a $200 gift card. I spent about an hour walking around looking for something I could spend the gift card on, and finally settled on a knife sharpening kit and a pair of sunglasses, leaving $59. I told the girl at the counter that I would just spend the rest of it in the restaurant. I was VERY disappointed and kind of miffed when she told me that it I could not use it in the restaurant - something about them having a different system. When I get a gift card to an establishment, I expect it to be good for ANYTHING they sell under their roof. Thats NOT the case here . . .Thank you so much for your caring response. I have increased my rating above since you have offered to refund the remaining gift card balance. However, I do have a good friend who I plan on giving the remaining balance to and he will most definitely be able to use it.

I went for the range and it was closed for the next few days so disappointing. They have a large selection of guns so points. Fairly wide variety of items for sale but limited in selection with each type. I didnt like the atmosphere it felt like it wasnt sure if they wanted a country club or a gun store version of academy.

I was wanting to give the gun negative rating. I guess I was wrong color. I was there about 20 miuntes looking at an arsenal Ak. Till I guess manager asked if I needed help. I said yes sir, i simply asked what comes with the $1400 ak. Then I got Dane, total jerk, he is one of those guys at every gun shop that knows everything and doesnt have time to answer questions.I have 3 stars because of Stov(hope I got his name right). He knows how to treat people. But this will be only purchase from these place. Ill go to SK arms or to Dallas. Im not the right kind of person for this place .

So I posted about ally last night fairly late and it was somehow deleted. So I will say it again. Guy tried to bs me on ar-15s, told me the AR stood for assault rifle and literally bs me the whole way to get me to buy something. Won’t be coming here again. If a sale is more important than knowing what you’re talking about, then you should probably try to sell Hillary Clinton merch

So I received a $200 gift card as a Christmas present from my sister to this range. I am a member at MSA, but I appreciated the gift, especially this time of year being so cold. So my mom is learning to shoot and we decided to go out to Ally and check it out.Had to sign waivers and whatnot, watch a safety video. My only issue with this process was that every time we got back in line for the range, we were dealing with a different employee every time and had to explain repeatedly what we wanted, who we were, etc... I noticed that these employees rotated from working in the range to standing around behind the counter to sitting at a register at the counter. Seems like a poor way to run that system, but they just opened, so thats really to be expected.The range itself is nice. I only visited the pistol bay. They did tell me I wasnt allowed to draw from a holster without having some supervisors approval or whatever. The SO said he would go get this guy but he never showed up. They were busy, I understand. They also sell hanging targets as well as rent various firearms if youre interested in that. And nice sinks on your way out for gunpowder hands.Now to my issue... So this gift card, I was told, CANNOT be used for range fees as its a separate system and the gift card is only valid for retail being the stuff they sell in the center of the store. I checked with my sister, she was never told when she purchased this that it was only good for retail. Thats wrong. Plain and simple.Listen yall, I dont care what your system is, Im just a customer. I dont need to understand how overly complicated your business is. This gift card not working for range fees is unacceptable. Its literally in the same room as everything else you sell. Easy temporary way to fix this would be to sell range time at the retail counter that I can take over to the range counter and use for my fees.I briefly browsed the store but its frankly full of stuff I dont need. I buy ammo bulk online for cheaper than they sell. I have too many guns already. I dont need a $600 cooler or fishing equipment or camo clothes.I really would only ever use this card for range fees. Until this is resolved, I will not change my review.Do not buy a gift card people.

Ordered my suppressor from Ally. I called the ATF to check on it and they told me it was approved Aug.11 Ally never called me when I called them to check on it 10/28 they suddenly found that it was at the store and ready. The wait times are long enough without having to wait 2 1/2 more months on the store. Maybe if I hadnt already paid for it they would have called me. Wont order my next one from Ally!
