Clean store and great customer service. Very knowledgeable.

Whoever is running this place needs to be fired along with the incompetent staff. Let’s try and charge $170 for what was only a pull cord for a blower that only cost $180! Seriously that’s the only problem with the blower and they “repaired” multiple other issues then try and charge you for it when that worked just fine before their “amazing mechanic” got his hands on it. Seriously laughable. “Well it’s almost brand new” the manager says. Well yeah for $10 more I could’ve just replaced our 8 year old blower with an actual new one lol. How this place has a 4.4 star review rating is completely beyond me!!!

I needed a new trimmer and went to one of the box stores yesterday and got one for $200. when i got home, i had a hard time getting all of the parts out of the box and no way could I assemble it. So today, I passed the Higginbotham Ace Hardware and went in. I was immediately greeted, another gentleman went to the back to see if what i wanted was in stock, there was one left. He brought it back and took it out of the box while the man who greeted me came back and assembled it - without even being asked! He explained how this model worked, it was much lighter and easier to handle than the other brand and was $129! Shop small and get better service and better prices!

I try to shop local to support local business....but I will not be helping this business again. Despite the fact that the guys working there were helpful in assisting me finding what I needed.....the woman working the register was extremely rude and not helpful. This was not the first time she was rude, but in the past, I just let it slide thinking everyone has a bad day. I had some items that qualified on my tax exempt account. She couldnt find my account and just kept saying I didnt have a tax exemption on file, only an Ace Rewards. She insisted I didnt have a tax exempt account but I know that I do because I had just used it a few weeks ago. She didnt ask for anyone to help her nor did she offer to try to set up a new tax exempt.She just kept rudely saying what I owed with tax and that I dont have an account. She was being so rude that I just left and said I will just go somewhere else. She said very loudly: Fine, just go to Home Depot! I never have this problem at any other store I use my tax exemption, only at this particular store. I drove down to McCoys....the employees there were very friendly and cashier had a smile on her face.

What a great Ace Hardware! They have everything you need and then some. Friendly staff and great prices. They also have a fun selection of garden flags and decor. Love this store!

I went this past weekend, looking for furniture bolts. Aaron the store manager, not only was patient with all my questions, but actually took the initiative to find exactly what I needed to get my job done. His customer service and professionalism was awesome! Thanks for your help Aaron, those bolts/washers worked fantastically! Keep up your hard work, much appreciated!

Their prices are a little higher than other places, but they carry things I cant find elsewhere, and the customer service is always great.

Couldn’t ask for better service from a hardware/supply store prompt, friendly, and educated staff make the experience fast and easy to get back to the job site. The only place to stop for in Midlothian/Ellis county for your hardware/home supply/ or construction needs.

Always extremely helpful plus good prices.

I went to this store today and it is amazing, by far the best ACE hardware or Stihl dealer Ive ever visited. Shawn, the Stihl Rep. was very knowledgeable and helped me the moment I walked into the front door of the store. All of the employees at this store were eager to help me, its wonderful compared to other stores where youre 100% on your own. This is probably the best Stihl dealer or Ace Hardware in the DFW area, keep up the excellent job Higginbotham Brothers.👍👍

Ever since Matt the manager was let go and the rest of the crew left and went to McCoys.Its just not the same.Been there twice trying to buy Wood Defender stain.Empty shelves.You would think if it sellsThey keep it stocked up.The company Standard paints who makes it is out of Mansfield Texas...They have plenty of stain there cause I called asking them. They are in full production.Pvc fittings is another issue. Not many in bins.Have also been there twice and did not have simple pvc fittings I needed...Find my self at McCoys!!!

The employees here helped me with a smile on their faces as I showed up at closing time with just an idea to fix a plumbing problem. I would recommend this place over the big stores. Stop in say hi! Get a couple of PVC fottings.

I purchased a Stihl ms 170 chainsaw I used it when got home and it work very good

The only reason they got one is because I can’t give them any...I keep trying to use them but they never seem to have what I need, or in todays case I went in looking for 2- 1/2” Pex 90s. They have packs of ten but no individual packages. They have individually in 3/4” but not 1/2”. Manager says if not on hooks we don’t have them....makes no sense to me. I really don’t know who orders but they should take a look at their products and revamp their style...The customer service by the young man who helped me look however was the bright spot. Don’t know his name but he tried to be helpful. He’s handcuffed by management that can never seem to get it right.
