Love WinCo Foods!!! Food is cheap! I like it better than Costco! And you dont need a membership! But you cant use a credit card. This is a nice store that is well organized!! The prices are great!!
Open 24 hours a day. They stop selling beer at 11pm . You can get soda and cleaning supplies or you could grab some thick cut bacon and or a loaf of fresh bread.I think WinCo is a economically wise decision for the indecisive in the late hours of the night ;)
WinCo has great prices. Being open 24 hours is a wonderful help. Their in-store brands are just as good as name brand products. I love shopping here. Come prepared though. They dont accept credit cards only debit cards, cash and checks
My favorite grocery store! They have the best variety, quality and prices, and use several strategies to stay consistent. WinCo also trims costs by not accepting credit cards and by asking customers to bag their own groceries. Another bonus, they are open 24 hours! For those reasons and many more, I will always shop WinCo.
This store is dirty and most of the carts are difficult to push. Not the stores fault, but mothers of crying screaming children prefer shopping here. However the international aisle has lots of options and the prices are great.
I like that the store In midvale where I shopIs always stock . The. Checkers are concernedAbout your welfare. I love shopping here.Thank you asking me. Chris
Winco is the place to shop for the best bang for your buck. Lots of choices and nice wide aisles make for a pleasant shopping experience. As with most Wincos, dont expect sparse crowds, but worth it for the savings.
1 single checker. 🤬. And he’s answering the phone!? This place is a joke. Just shut down from 2300-0500. And stop acting like you’re “open”. Specially when youre understaffed. Also, look at the weather. Winds are crazy and carts are overflowing and blowing around the parking lot.
This was my second time in the store.... Both times the store was clean and we loved the cinnamon scent as we walked in the door.We were shocked at the price of Kalbasa! And no single romaine lettuce.... Not all of us cook for a family of 10.
Best prices & variety to choose from hands down! Highly Recommend!:)
The prices are good but the customer service is terrible. There are only three lanes open and at least 4 people waiting behind the one at the register. I asked the lady at the service counter if she could open another register. Her response the lines arent that bad. Thursday night at 6:50 if the managers care.
I truly love that they are open 24 hours. They have decent cold and warm food. For instance, I normally get their salads and sandwiches for lunch and they are very affordable. Salad runs for about $4 and the sandwiches for about $2.18. Their prices are really great. Check it out if you can!
WinCo doesnt play all the games with pricing like other supermarkets. They just post an actual price, no coupons or gimmicks. When they have a sale its clearly labeled with a green sticker and it represents a real discount. Their meat is always good, cheapest deli meat anywhere, and they have more cus of meat and more bulk items than anyone else
One cashier?? Are you serious? The line is a mile long, the store is full of employees and they only have one person checking people out? The woman in front of us had two completely full shopping carts. The self checkout guy looked at me like I was nuts when I asked if they could have another cashier come up. This is ridiculous!! Its 12:07 on Tuesday night. Why?! I usually like WinCo but oh my god.
They have a great selection at great prices. You can get name brand and private label items at prices cheaper prices than places like Walmart. Being open 24 hours is convenient. WinCo has a better selection of Asian and Hispanic ingredients than other grocery stores.Cons of the store is they do not accept credit cards. I would recommend bringing your own bags, because about half of the plastic bags I use provided by WinCo tear and drop food by the time I get back home.
Nice clean store with a great selection of foods
My favorite grocery store - selection is good, prices are great, and you dont have to have a membership card to get the advertised prices.
I will give 1 star and that is even nice. I have never been on a grocery warehouse website that advertises shop online and shows not 1 product to shop. Worst grocery website I have ever seen.
Today happens to be the last time I ever shop here. Also the last time I’m going to have to drive home to get cash and come back later to receive my groceries.I’ll consider being a patron again if A: Winco pays for the gas and my time I’ve spent on this voyage of insanity over the years, B: Winco compensates me for all the points I’ve lost because they refuse to accept credit, C: Winco starts accepting credit. It’s 2021 you ridiculous company. Nobody carries cash around with them anymore. Get the memo. Me and my family are now Smiths shoppers.
Wow what is with the deli? My wife and I was shopping at WinCo foods in Midvale. Was walking by the Deli it was 6:00 and they was pulling the trays throwing away the fried chicken. I ask the Young man if it was to late if I could get a chicken breast and leg instead of throwing away Ill pay for some I havent got WinCo Chicken for a long time cuz it seems like the deli is always closed when my wife and I come in after work. The Young man said yes I think so. A Lady his boss I guess. She was in the back just popped off and yelled like she was angry Once were closed were closed We dont sell anything! The Young man turned and Said sorry Man. And he grabbed the try of chicken and threw it into the pile of discarded chicken... There was no need to yell at us! I just ask if I could get some chicken before you was going to throw away.. What kind of customer service is that! I think I will pay a little bit more at Smiths for a more friendlier atmosphere.
Understaffed. 3 of 15 or so registers open. Prices are good but waiting for 30 minutes at checkout is ridiculous. No online shopping option.
Great prices. Store brand products always high quality.
WinCo is consistently the best grocery store for pretty much everything, their bulk foods is the best
This is a good place to find all your groceries. They have a good deli section and meat section . They have dry bulk products also and their produce is good.
It was late and WinCo was the only open grocery store. It was pretty busy I think because of this. There were only three Lanes open and all of them had long lines. I hoped in a line before noticing the light was out and the lane was actually closed. The employee, Irene was staying late and let me through even though she didnt need to. She saved me a long wait, was smiling and had a great attitude about the whole thing. Thank you Irene!
Worst experience I’ve ever had with cashing a check. Employee named Karen at the service desk didn’t even know how to cash a check since she’s never done it before, so she had to call someone else to do it. 5 minutes later a manager shows up with an attitude. To cash a check, we were told that they first need to call employer to verify employment, which took 10 minutes to find the phone number because “we have to find it in our phone book to be able to verify employment.” Google doesn’t exist inside Winco. Apparently the name of the employer on the check with the employees name isn’t enough. Then had to fingerprint the actual check to prove identification, because an ID isn’t sufficient enough, only to be told that the check has been returned, after they completed the process of cashing the check. Now we have a ruined check. 30 minutes of waiting for nothing. I’d give negative stars if I could.
Great prices. Huge bulk section with a wide range of products and treats. Good selection of gluten free products throughout the store.
Nice store. Great selection of products. Good prices.
Overall decent experience. Clean, staff acts appropriate if not in an outright friendly manner. Prices are no longer what they were, but thats the same everywhere...
My son and I shop here for our weekly groceries. The prices are comparable to Walmart and less busy which we like. Two problems though. 1. The WinCo brand products are terrible. Very low quality. The mayo has a weird taste and texture and the pickles are so soft, no crunch. Just tried a can of WinCo carrots and they were straight mush. We tried but we pay extra for name brand. 2. The fact that you dont accept credit cards. My son and I found out the first time we shopped at WinCo. Now we just use our debit card. The problem is time and time again we see people get turned away at the register because of this. It happened to the gentleman in front of us today. He said he spent an hour shopping just to walk out with nothing. There is no definitive sign stating this. How is this still happening in your store? How has this problem not been addressed? If youre not going to accept credit cards fine, but youve got to have way more noticeable signage. Its extremely rude to waste peoples valuable time. Cmon
Good place to shop its got some of the best prices
Great options and low prices! Good produce section and an amazing bulk section.Debit card or cash only. No credit card.Bag your own groceries.
I have never understood why this isnt the most popular food store chain. While bigger companies rely on brown & serve bakeries and boring delis. Winco bakes their goods and dont just unfreeze pastries. All this and about a buck cheaper. I have always received excellent quality items at lower than Kroger or even Wally world. Great associates too.
Love it. Great deals awesome selection. There salads are killer, large and only 4 bucks!
This store is awesome! I want one where I live! Fantastic prices! Great selection!
Food is reasonably priced and customer service is very helpful and friendly. In a great location too 👍
Great for bulk foods, all kinds of meats, deli, and Latin foods.Great selection of a wide variety of produce although it is not the highest quality, it is decent and cheap.Store is clean. Service is mostly good.
Kylie is not worthy of being a manager. She is incompetent, extremely biased and needs to be demoted.
Love our WinCo foods here in Midvale! Staff are always polite and helpful. And if the store does not have what you want, ask the manager if they can get... Sometimes they can and sometimes they cant. But its not for the lack of trying. Great store!
Gross store! Definitely wear gloves if you venture in here. Dirty employees, coughing without a mask.... Guess they are desperate for employees.
The prices are good. But when it was time to pay a lady with the uniform approached me to tell me that she will be opening the next line and I will take a minute to come back while I download my cart. At least 5 minutes when by when another employee came to tell me that the cashier would be close for another 10 minutes, I told him what the first lady said and he walked away, at last I called over another employee the situation and he helped me. So very much dissatisfied with the situation, everyone time is important. Offering a service that wouldnt be possible makes people uncomfortable.
Shop smart, at least smarter than me. The “family size” cereal I got had a bag that was pretty much half the size of the box…I knew this deal was too good to be true.
Great product at the best deals I could find anywhere.
Good selection, good price clean.
After an aggressive ad campaign by WinCo I decided to check them out finally.Their offerings seem comparable to any other grocery store in the area, and their prices are likewise fine. Nothing unique found I havent seen elsewhere, and no discounts that surprised or impressed me. A few missing items other places do have. The wait at the Seafood counter was terrible despite several employees in the Deli who assured me someone was coming while they kept doing whatever. The people behind me almost left after voicing their frustration multiple times.A bigger issue however . . .They have a huge sign out front that says the store is employee owned. Okay, interesting but ultimately not useful. What WOULD be useful is a big sign saying they ONLY take Debit, Cash, and Checks. The customer doesnt care who owns the place, but knowing you are limited in payment options would be very helpful.Seems like a typical grocery otherwise, nothing special or worth the hype.Employees were nice at any rate, but who takes a check in this day and age?
If your a patriot stay away. Youll get yelled at for taking 20 items to the 15 or items less line. Dont even try to fight for your freedom. Only liberal grocery store in the city that still requires a mask. Ill be keeping smiths in business.
If I could give Zero stars, I would. I’m pretty sure that someone was skimming my debit card or trying to, while I was at the register. My adult son and I were at the Midvale, Utah store, #0073 today, picking up a few things. At the register, I handed the cashier my 24 pack of soda for her to scan and then I handed it to my son to put in the cart. Then I asked him to bag the groceries for me. There was a man with a young boy with him, that had been in line behind us but they were at the other end of the belt. I put my card in the scanner and put in my pin and then noticed that the man who had been in line was standing directly behind me. I said something to the cashier about the fact that I didn’t feel comfortable with the situation and she said she didn’t notice him.I went to the Customer Service and spoke with a Lead or something. Her name is Heather. When I told Heather what had happened and that I felt that my card may have been compromised, she said that she understands but that if she had been the cashier, she would have assumed that he was with me. I tried to explain how everything happened but she did not want to listen to what I had to say.She should have apologized and said that she would make sure to train the cashiers about skimming and the signs to watch out for.The man had a hand basket with groceries, I had a cart. He was of a different nationality than me and my adult son and it was obvious that he wasn’t with me, yet the cashier said that she didn’t notice that he was directly behind me.With all of the credit/debit card fraud going on, the employees at this store aren’t taught to watch for the signs of fraud. This isn’t a store that I can feel confident in giving my business to.
This is my favorite grocery chain. The lowest prices in town without sacrificing quality or service. In fact, they have the best produce anywhere in the valley. They also have a great selection of bulk items at deep discounts. Even their name brand items are priced as good as or less than Wal-Mart. Note they only accept cash and debit cards, no credit. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Since moving to the area. I have shopped at WinCo for over a year. The prices are fantastic and I can honestly say Ive saved tons of $$$ going there compared to where I shopped before. I have noticed the produce especially lettuce and bell peppers is lacking in quality. Mold inside the peppers from two different visits. Overall its a great store but you have to learn which items are more sketchy than others.
Had all I needed and more. Just know that when you go late at night they are re-stocking shelves so you will have to maneuver around boxes.
This was my first time in a WinCo. The facility was very clean and neat nicely laid out. I was looking for a particular product which was not on the shelf. I found a young person working in another department. He was very helpful and actually left his work to help me find an appropriate person that could help me. She was very helpful and got me what I was there for. Staff was super helpful and polite. The only downside for me is that they dont take credit cards which I was unaware of until I got to check out. Otherwise a great experience.
Just walking into, WinCo, makes me want to live a healthier lifestyle. I love the variety, and selections they have to offer. Plus 24 hours a day is extremely convenient.
WinCo is always a good place to shop. Not always the cleanest, but the deals are great.
Great prices, nice people
Love Winco. Love their prices. Their employees are super friendly, very helpful.
My wife and I came today, (Friday evening) best time to go grocery shopping because who wants to shop after a long work week? We do, because we beat the crowd! Anyway, this store always exceeds the expectations!! Thanks WinCo, we love you!!
Good price slot of parking love it
WinCo is fantastic - one of my favorite grocery stores.
They are always good to me. Helpful accommodating and patient. Great selection at good prices
Ever nice place to go shopping
Graet selection and some good deals. Love the produce here
1st time changing my check here took more than 15 minutes to do it because they had to call the phone # from the yellow pages according to Michael the lead clerkHe called and since Its a nursing home at around 5pm do you think they have time to answer up when theyre preparing for the elders to get dinner?? Of course notBut then Michael the Lead clerck didnt think that some places dont pick up at 5pm on SaturdaysOn top of that he was trying to reach the corporation that doesnt pick up saturday nights cuz obviously they dont work on saturday nights!!although the lights where turned off at the service desk most likely he was trying to go home or go on breakBad Costumer service!
I love WinCo! They have a wonderful bulk foods section with refillable dried goods and spices. I also love their wide variety of produce. They have very reasonable prices overall.
Well-groomed store. Fully stocked. Competitive prices.
Avoid coming to this location at all costs when theres more than 10 people waiting to check out. They cant organize their work force when it gets busy. Several customers and I were moved 3 different times to different lines cause each cashier said that the customer they were helping was the last customer they were going to check out.
Great prices, found Every thing on my list.
As always I had a great experience. I was able to get a lot more for my money and pick up extra for less than anywhere else.
Great selection and prices. Lots of room. I needed to use a motorized cart today, but none to be found? I cant reach the items at the bottom of the cart because I am too short.
I started out just stocking up on staples. Now I get most everything there.
Always a favorite place to shop. Fantastic prices on most items. In the past I have purchased milk that was spoiled, but it hasnt happened in a while so I still give WinCo a 5 star.
Always come here to this winco and only this one to run some major errands large bulk food variety from seasoning pasta and other stuff prices are good always can find a great deal on groceries.
Good prices friendly checkers
They have an excellent variety of items and merchandise. And, theyre open 24 hours.
Always friendly. Food is at a good price.
I found what I needed to buy. Fast courteous service. The checker was helpful and very polite and courteous. I always enjoy shopping there.
I love WinCo much better than some of the other big retailers and great prices great service would recommend to anyone
Good place lot of stocking goes on at night reminds me of a busy bees
The WinCo in south salt lake IS the worst. If you go late night youre guaranteed an hour wait time as they just cant figure out how to have more than one cashier. People will be lined up clear to the milk section with employees a plenty walking about.Every night its like this.
I regularly shopped at the WinCo grocery store in Roy before moving to Midvale. Now I shop at WinCo in Midvale every couple of weeks. I like the large selection and relaxed atmosphere. I plan on continue getting my groceries here in the future.
Over crowded, never enough cashiers, hardly up to date on stocked products, and they dont throw away expired food or dairy.
Nothing Fancy but super clean store and restrooms, no pharmacy or bank but grear quality food items, meat, and produce at really good prices, do be ready to Bag your own groceries. Friendly and helpful checker and staff.Open 24hrs a HUGE Plus!
I like this window sometimes there is a weird crowd that goes in there but it’s not as bad as Walmart. The food is so cheap. I love it. Every time I go out of there shocked.
Great prices on quality products. Good selection and variety.
Big store, great prices, lots of selection. Whats not to like?
This place is great. It super close to me and has pretty much everything I need most of the time. I usually go late and the late night/weeee hours cashiers are always great and deserve more praise. Thats all I gotta say. Haha and the 24hr thing saves my butt SOOOO often
Winco foods is a good store for foods like dog food, cat food, dessert, ice cream, hair remedies, just no clothes(obviously) but other that its a good store to find what to do for your next meal. The employees are a bit plain but its a good store i recommend it!
Clean store. Great prices. Easy to find the things you need. Check out is fast even with lines. Friendly people.
Great prices and absolutely love doing my grocery shopping here!
Spent half an hour trying to cash a check to get told I couldnt. Not doing that again.
The store is way clean the fruit and vegetables are the freshest. The bakery is amazing. Guidelines for covid being followed.
Great place. I wish they accepted credit but its great nonetheless
Always has wut I need and even stuff I didnt think about and got. Neat stuff?
I love winco foods but Janet was an absolute grump. #karen
If it weren’t for the prices and the location that it is close to my home, I would never shop this WinCo! As it is the only Winco that I have shopped that has the rudest staff I’ve ever came across! The way they speak with your customers, and your willingness to help needs a little improvement or a lot To say the least! Every other Lanco in the valley that I have been to, would definitely get my five star review!
What kind of stores in the year 2021 dont accept credit cards, absolutely ridiculous. That will keep me from shopping here.
Great selection and the best price as far as I know.
Pricing and selection were great. Admittedly, I did not get there until 9pm and shopped for about 20-30 minutes, but there were only 4 checkout lanes open and customers were stacked 5 or 6 deep in those lines. They made an announcement about distancing and mask wearing. 2 minutes later a person wearing a WinCo shirt walked by with no face covering whatsoever. He appeared to be older, definitely not a millennial. Would have given it at least a 4 rating if more checkout lanes were open.
