Everyone was super kind and helpful. I cant remember her name, but she was tall, had dark hair and light blue eyes--- she was sooooooo helpful and kind! She helped us make sure we got the right foundation and her matching skills were on point!! There was also another lady who had dark hair and was petite as well that was SO kind at the register. I love how helpful everyone is. Definitely coming back in the future.

I had the most horrific experience there. I had my birthday yesterday and my husband bought me $100 worth of Kylie cosmetics. I went to return some things and I was met by manager Cora. I was trying on product and in front of others accused me of shoplifting. I am a platinum member who has spent god knows how much money.Cora wouldn’t show me the video and wouldn’t apologize after I opened my bag just to show what I had… keys, body spray, mask, tampon, wallet and sunglasses. THAT WAS IT. I love Ulta but you need to fire Cora. Worst management, after years of going there never had an experience this traumatic. I have attached a photo right after I left of what I had inside my purse.Ulta you need a new manager. She was condescending and rude.

This is by far the worst Ulta I have ever been to! It had none of the 4 products in stock that I went to buy. It was completely disorganized, having nothing in the proper place behind the advertised product. No one greeted me as i came in and no one helped me while in the store searching. I will never return to this location! Luckily it is not the location nearest my home.

I had an awful experience today. I am from Logan and was in Salt Lake on my way out of town so I decided to stop by and return a body butter cream. This thick cream melted after sitting an hour in my car, not knowing it was going to melt that fast. I had it for one day and didn’t even get the chance to use it. So I decided before I left on vacation I would return it . I had an employee who didn’t have a name tag on. He has long black hair. He did the return but was rude. He seemed upset I was returning it and informed me that they “don’t do returns on items like mine”. Seems interesting that I bought it the day before and didn’t even get a chance to use it. I have never had any issues the the Logan location. They are a very friendly staff if I ever used a new product that made me break out (because I can’t get makeup samples due to Covid) and had to return them, it’s never been an issue! I always have a paper receipt on hand as well. He didn’t have to be rude!

I made an appt. to get my hair styled for a formal event. The day of the event, I got a phone call telling me the girl (who I wont name) called in sick so they wouldnt be able to accommodate me after all.I mentioned it was for a black tie event THAT evening so Melanie said she would call around and see if she could find me another appt at a different location.I think it wasnt even 30 mins later she called back letting me know shed booked me at the Sandy location at nearly the same time as my original appointment.Phenomenal customer service and I was so incredibly grateful. The first time I went here, I got my hair cut and it was amazing. It was probably one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten before. The sides were perfect, everything was even, and it look great. Quite a few weeks later I came back to get my hair cut with the hopes that it will be just as good as the first one, but it wasn’t. I’ve had worse but it was not a very good haircut. The sides were a little uneven, they took to much off the top, and they didn’t do the best job fading the sides. I do have plans to come back in the future so I can maybe one day have that amazing haircut again.

I used to hate getting my hair done, but Ulta has changed me completely!! Just walking in the door I feel welcome. The awesome Ladies remember me and there are smiles and the anticipation of a new do that makes the visit fun! And I wouldnt trade Tanya for anything!! Shes a genius!! With some of my crazy ideas and her beautiful ideas, we come up with some pretty awesome combinations!! Its definitely the highlight of my month, and I recommend everyone treat yourself to just one day a month of fun and friendship....... it is so worth it!!

I would like to mention a specific employee, Jillyn at the Midvale store. She was absolutely terrific and went above and beyond for me. She really made my night and I will definitely be coming back to that store because I know you have employees like that there. We all need to be a little extra kind I think during this really hard time and she was absolutely wonderful. The friend that was with me at the time said she had an awesome experience with her as well. Hold on to her if you can, she is absolutely terrific.

A month ago I got my hair colored and they ruined it. I am having breakage I have NEVER had before (sections are only two inches long) and the roots and ends are two DIFFERENT colors. I contacted corporate who sent my complaint to this store where they said they could send me a gift card (after spending hundreds of dollars). Well, I still dont have that gift card and my hair is still breaking after a month later. I do not recommend.

The girls there were really sweet. After spending quite a large amount of money (nearly $400) I asked one of the girls what their employee discount was and she mentioned it wasnt worth it considering the discount we (customers) get if we sign up for points. While I had signed up for a phone number with them prior I didnt realize I got coupons with it. I came back later that night to exchange one item but didnt have any of the other products on me. I asked about an exchange. They returned all of my items, applied the coupon and refunded me the difference which ended up being about $90. I thought it was really sweet that they were willing and although they seemed a little annoyed they still happily did it. Thanks again girls.This is not something I would do again seeing as I know the coupons exist. I couldnt just eat that $90 discount like nothing.

Probably my least favorite location. The store itself is nice but my visit on New Years Eve was the second time I have gone in and gotten a snippy attitude from staff. When checking out, I wanted to use a gift card to pay for part of it and my Ulta card for the difference. The cashier told me to answer the question on the screen (asking me if I was going to use my Ulta credit card) and I asked, Im going to use my Ulta card but I want to use this gift card too, do I still answer yes? In the most bored, irritated tone possible, she replied: I just need you to answer the question on the screen for me. without answering my own question. So I tapped yes, and then she sighed and said hold on, hit cancel. and I had to go through it all over again, because I was using a gift card and was supposed to tap no.Maybe tell me that politely, or answer my question, instead of making me feel bad for asking a question.It was a nice reminder as to why I dont usually go to this one. I get that the holidays are stressful, having worked retail and in the food industry as well... But I have never used that tone with a stranger and never would.

I go once a year during their liter sales. I stick up for the year on shampoo and conditioner. It is pretty pricey, but during their sale many of their shampoos alms conditioners are reasonable. For example; the Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo is only 18, vs 40 normally.

Robyn Hogan is so experienced, listens to what you want, explains what she is doing the whole time and is such a delight to be around., Robyn just cut, colored, and styled my hair. We did something Ive never done and put a little purple in and I love it and have had so many compliments! Lol she was super knowledgeable about products for blonde thin hair, really made an effort to connect with me, which means a lot, and I left the store feeling so educated and excited to try the products she recommended! This location has the best selection of products and great employees and customer service! There is another location closer to my house, but I was doing errands near the area and decided to stop by this location because it is bigger and seems nicer. Wow I was amazed by how friendly everyone was! I don’t think they make commission but I was greeted the second I walked in. I ended up buying way more than I needed, Christmas gifts and then some for myself. I even signed up for the Ultamate Rewards credit card and don’t regret it one bit. I will definitely go out of my way to visit this location for all future make up and beauty needs!

I wanted to exchange a product that I received as a gift. The Beachwaver I received, from my kids, was too big. I needed a smaller wand. The sales rep made me feel as though I stole it. And told me that because I do not have the receipt, I would get the lowest price and would have to pay the difference. This is the 2nd time I have been treated poorly. Maybe focus on training your employees on customer service and your sales will increase! I will no longer shop this location.

Came here to get some lip gloss as another beauty store does not carry it in-store anymore. Very disappointed in the service. Massive store with so many amazing products and NO ONE to help anyone. There was a girl at the register on her phone and that was it. Also in a beauty store, trying out products is important but ALL of their sample stations with makeup remover, applicators, etc. were all nearly empty and no lip gloss doe foot applicators to try lipstick and lipgloss which is strange. Anyway, I got zero help from anybody and I will now be ordering the product I wanted from their competition, seeing as their store has tons of people to help me out.

Valley Fair didnt have ANY Color Pop but this location has 2 displays for the brand. Theres always a line at checkout but the staff moves quickly to get everyone through. I do wish Ulta would offer paper bags for shoppers rather than plastic. The shape of their bags doesnt allow for much reuse.

Every time I go in to pick up an order I’ve placed online through the app, I have to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to even recognize that I’m standing at the designated area to pick up my order. The last time, however, I had to go and stand in line at the regular checkout to let someone know I had an order to pickup because I was fed up with waiting and no one bothering to see I was there. The woman at the checkout just walked over to the station (without telling me I should follow her) and seemed quite put out to help me. I realize I wasn’t exactly the most pleasant because I have the same exact experience each time, but the individual I worked with ended up mirroring my behavior and barely spoke a single word, not even letting me know I was good to go once I had gotten my order. Seriously, I only shop at Ulta because the reward system is superior to Sephora - across the board, regardless of the state I’m in, the customer service is subpar and never seems to improve. I’m not expecting the red carpet to get rolled out each time anyone comes in, but some basic acknowledgement would be super.

I was looking at a product to buy. A sales associate walked by and said Please dont open that its not a tester. ( it was a lip gloss not in a box package btw) I kindly said Oh dont worry Im not going to try it . She sniped back with yeah well now theres air in it. She could have said it much kinder and explained it to me. Maybe say oh I understand, but when you open it up it gets air in it. I honestly didnt know that was a big deal. Needless to say. Everytime I have ever came to this store I have walked around with no help from anyone after 20 minutes. Eventually I walk out frustrated because of the lack of help and them being out of a lot of things. Each time there have been less than 10 other customers in the store. My experience at Ulta was horrible. I went there to get my hair and makeup done for prom, at first they lost my appimnent because it didnt transfer from the book to online. they were really nice to allow me to come in though.I went in and got my makeup done. it looked horrible!! it barely looked like i was wearing any make up. they didnt even put eyeliner or mascara on my eyes. the eye shadow was okay, but i was not happy.the lady who did my hair was very nice and my hair didnt look too bad...but i wish it was more to what i wanted.in the end i paid 100 dollars for something i was not happy of and they called and said i didnt pay for my makeup, when i did but they just lost the record of it. i will not be going there again for my hair and makeup.

The Male manager there doesnt have great customer service skills or knowledge. He almost makes you feel like youre out to do something worng.... or kind of accusatory, when theres no reason to be! Lol most of the staff is kind, unknowledgeable but will try to find your answers. This is a smaller ulta. Hardly any color pop, j*, morphe etc. Id def take the 10 minute extra commute to go to the one in sandy.

Waited 35 minutes for my scheduled appointment because the salon manager was doing makeup for someone. Dont know if that girl she was helping had an appointment, but 35 minute wait is unacceptable when you have an appointment and the salon is absolutely empty! No one even approached me for 25 minutes. Terrible customer service. I greeted them when I walked in. The woman who worked at the brow counter was incredibly unpleasant, unprofessional & seemed like a miserable person. The dirty looks were the cherry on top. Mixed with the forced “finding everything ok?” when one employee found herself I presume accidentally in front of me. Everyone else was helped though. Guess my post gym look wasn’t acceptable for them here. 2 awful experiences at 2 different Ultas within a week. I’m not a “may I speak to your manager” person but come on guys! Get it together. Mikayla was nice though. So there’s that.I got what I needed (I work in the beauty industry, so frequent Ulta trips are necessary for me) and got out of there as quick as I could. Retrain your staff on how to treat guests or get them out of there. It’s an awful representation of the company.

This Ulta would not honor the return policy that is clearly printed on their receipt. When I questioned them why, the two cashiers said that it was because there was a new policy but that they were printing on old receipt paper because corporate wouldnt supply them with new receipt paper that has the new policy printed on it. I contacted corporate about this issue, and they said that the store should indeed honor the return policy that is printed on my receipt. Now I have to make the drive back over to this Ulta to resolve the matter. What a hassle!

Worst experience ever. I called the salon to see if anyone was available for a walk in. Spoke with Linda and she said yes come on it. I got there within 20 minutes waited for her to finish with another customer and then she took me back to the chair. As soon as I sat down her appointment whom was 130 late walked in and so she sat her down as well right next to me. (Linda was thee only hairstylist in the store keep in mind.) She also wanted a cut and color done. Linda started rotating between the two of us which took way to long. I had color on my head for way to long while she continued to do the other womens foils. She told me I would be done drying in two minutes and came back 25 to 30 minutes later. Washed me out (very rough, my scalp still hurts from how careless she pulled her fingers through my hair.) then she put a conditioner in my hair that was only suppose to sit for ten minutes then rinse and then add more for ten more minutes. Left this sitting on my head and me laying in those uncomfortable chairs for just about an hour. While I was sitting and waiting Linda then took a THIRD client!!! Are you kidding me? One women to three cut and colors. I ended up having to call the manager from my cell phone with my hair still not washed out. Manager comes and immediately asks the stylist to speak with her. Two minutes later Linda came back and began to wash my hair out and start pretty much arguing that she told me it would take that long, etc, etc. I was there from just about 2pm to 5pm. For one color and I walked out before she even cut my hair! They tried to charge me 117 dollars. Long story short I should have gotten my service for free because of how crappy and how long it took. I ended up paying for just the product and left completely pissed off. The manager was not sincere at all and made me wait a good 15 minutes more just to discount my receipt. If I could rate lower than one I would. Terrible place to have your hair done.
