Milton at Speed of Sound was the first person to be willing and eager to work on my 2020 Volvo. He did speakers, amp and sub. The sound I got from his work is powerful and I have to admit it took some time to get used to it, but it sounds great. My love for it has gone from need to sentimental because almost 20yrs together my car has seen me through it all.In the summer my remote started to short circuit and that affected the car starter (which is also almost 20yrs installed) but with covid I didnt look into it I just went old school lock with a key no remote.Now with winter approaching I started to shop around. And Id say 3 of the 4 car starter places that folks referred me to were gender biased (you know - its a girl hike up the prices) I was just about to give up when I said let me Google and I found speed and sound tech.They were fair, honest in what they could and couldnt do and the prices we fair. I dont live close so I called ahead to verify hours. It was confirmed they were open until 5pm and no appointmentwas needed. I arrive at 415pm to an empty shop, the open sign is powered off and a car in the parking lot. I call twice, I get no response. This was exactly what I was trying to avoid and now I dont know where Im going to go for this service.

Went for window tints around the car and a new media system installation for the car. They squeezed me in as soon as they could and answered all my questions quickly. Had a remote starter installed a couple years ago so I could warm up the van and keep everyone happier - its still working great! I got it as a present for the wifey - its a good gift idea if you dont have a garage. And if you accidentally hit the button to start it, it turns off in 15 minutes. After reading the reviews here I chose to go have my car audio system installed and am very glad I did. They first gave me a quick demo and gave me some options of what I could do, I chose to get new speakers and an amp/processor and couldnt be happier with the results. He took his time with the installation and even corrected some wiring from a remote starter I had installed from another shop. They also gave me a ride back and forth to my house while he was working. Excellent service and will definitely come back for other services I need.

They are a great install shop. I send all my vehicles to him for alarms remote, starters and window tint. Its not worth it for me to do it myself. The price and quality of work you get is just awesome.

This place is everything you hope a small business would be. The owner (and I believe his wife) installed tint on my civic several months ago, I was nervous it wouldn’t turn out dark enough and hesitant to spend the money- but it came out amazing! These guys are friendly, fast, and incredibly skilled. I was rear ended and while my body shop did really good work, they broke one of my quarter windows in the process. When I returned to have it done again the owner was really great about it and did the small window free of charge. This is customer service at its best, not many places care about whether or not you leave satisfied. They have treated me well both times I’ve gone in and that goes a long way! Milton installed a subwoofer and amplifier in my 2015 Ford F-150 supercab. He built a prototype custom box for the sub, which is not something I asked for, yet he recommended would create the best sound. April 2016 went in to price a remote starter with door opener for my 2004 Dodge pick up, very friendly took time to explain what he felt would work for my pick up. Set up an appointment, 2 days later Im very happy with the work. Top notch, Viper unit was installed.

Not only did Milton reprogram the remote and fix a broken hood pin but he pulled the door harness apart and fixed a broken wire so the power windows would work. I just got my 2016 Subaru Legacy tinted and it looks amazing, they hooked it up with some good looks for me, and i got just what I was looking for, the seams are perfect and there arent any marks from miscuts or anything messed up from their work. Purchased a remote start and a tint for my wrangler and was charged over 600 for both which was fine but when my wife picked up the car the tint was never done and she was told it was but it was only 30%. when i got home i saw there was no tint on the car they argued it was done i scraped the windows with my key there was NO tint installed and they never made good on it. Will never return or recommend this place.

I felt like I was being sold a bag of... I asked about installing what I know to be $30 parts. I needed two of them, one for each front door. I was told they cost $60 each, which I was totally fine with. No one is in the business of not making money, and I respect that. What I wasnt fine with is that I know the installation isnt more than ten minutes per door, but I was sold $500 in labor. So $60 in parts turned into a $600 job? I mean, tell a guy that you dont know much about audio equipment and he sees sucker written on your forehead and pounces like a $2 hooker. Oh, and this was after he wanted to sell me 5k in sound system just because I wanted a better quality speaker in my car. Eff ewe SOS

I went to have my windows tinted at the last min and Milton took my vehicle in and knocked it out in about 1 hr. As a business owner myself I appreciate the customer service Milton provided and he is clearly a perfectionist with a vast knowledge of the low voltage and custom fabrication for vehicles. Milton hooked up my Audi with two 10 inch subs, an amp, a new head unit, and a sick LED vanity panel in the trunk. Beautiful! Not to mention the outstanding tint job. I definitely know where Im going next time I need any more work out in my car.

Ive waited more than a month to post this review to make sure everything was rock solid.When I first showed up to the location I explained what I was looking for and was immediately met with great customer service and flexibility. I brought a 2018 Dodge Durango in to have all speakers and subwoofer replaced and wanted to make sure the stock head unit remained. I also had the front windows tinted. Everything turned out exactly as I hoped it would.Its rare that you find a solid combination of professionalism, customer service and an obvious passion for the work. Ive worked in some form of customer service for 20 years. It matters.

I brought my 2015 Ford Taurus to Milton. I asked him to troubleshoot an aftermarket amp and speakers. It turned out that the shop I initially went to did not have the expertise needed to work on a new vehicle. Wanted to get the smart start remote start system for my 2008 Toyota Tacoma and had it installed by SOS Technologies in Ansonia, CT. Awesome system! Its great to be able to start my vehicle from my desk at work instead of having to go to the front of the building to start my vehicle like other systems out there. Works flawlessly and I can check that my truck did start as well as being able to check the status of my doors etc. Installation was quicker than what I was told it would be and I have nothing but praise for SOS. I originally had a full component system installed in Fort Myers, FL at a place called Audio Connection sometime in 2010. Lately, I noticed the JL Audio Clean Sweep was starting to cut out. Just yesterday, I was getting no sound at all from my speakers. Obviously, going to Florida was not an option and found this place online. I took it to Speed of Sound today, and Melinton came out and was extremely helpful. He took the time to troubleshoot all connections and determined it was a loose connection. Sure enough, he found a cable that was completely corroded and fixed it. Remember, this wasnt even installed by them, but Audio Connection in FL!Not only that, but he went through and saw a few other problems in the original install in that was done in Florida and made some corrections. I am taking it back tomorrow to get optimized and make sure all connections are where and what they should be for the best sound possible. The price was very reasonable for the service as well as part(s) needed.I will be taking my wifes car and mine here whenever for any after market system work needed. I will also be recommending to my friends and colleagues. Highly recommended, Great Customer Service!

My wife scheduled an appointment to have the Viper Car Starter installed in my minivan. She called Speed of Sound Technologies and they scheduled the installation and took a down payment for the service.They called my wife this morning to confirm the appointment and she confirmed that my son would be bringing the car in for the installation. She was told that would be no problem as long as the car got there. When my son got there they wouldnt do the installation because hes not the owner. My son called my wife, who in turn called Speed of Sound Technologies. They were extremely rude to her and refused to continue unless the owner of the vehicle was there.If thats their policy I have no issue with it, as long as they let it be known, but their handling of the whole situation was completely bungled from a customer service standpoint. I sure wont be having any service done there.
