Im addicted to their coffee and their sandwiches! I usually dont leave the house but I will just to grab a quick lunch here. Everything Ive had is so good. We also got a birthday cake here that we customized. Their chocolate cake is so incredible! They also have these cute pupcakes that my dogs loved!

Cute little Cafe. The desserts are good. The Croissants are excellent, buttery, flaky and soft layers on the inside. I got the veggie Quiche in mine, It was perfection.

Great spot for coffee and pastries. The lunch menu looks great - I was bummed I missed it because the kitchen closes at 2. And theyve got plenty of seating to hang out and enjoy your coffee. Worth the trip and if youre in need of a caffeine fix around the Millbury area.

Amazing place. Clean, cozy, accommodating staff. Outstandingly good food, consistently! They are awesome for breakfast, lunch, cakes, muffins and other wonderful sweets. Their lattes are perfect.

We found this place by accident since we were in Millbury and wanted dessert and coffee. We got a maple pecan iced coffee(which is a shot and to tell you the truth, not sweet at all I had to add sugar), a latte, red velvet cupcake, apple cider cupcake and a brownie.We were told by the employee, who was very pleasant and helpful, that we should allow for cupcakes and brownie to sit for a bit since it is in the case at a certain temperature and it is a little hard. We did so but it was still pretty hard to bite into especially the brownie. The cupcake was a little better. I have never had to in any other cake or bakery shop wait for our dessert to get soft. Even another patron in there I overheard them saying the same thing.It was all very tasty but needs to be softer or have a microwave for customers.I would have given a 5 for customer service, a 4 for overall but the place was quite dirty. In the back, there is a couch and cushioned area that was covered in crumbs as well as stains on it and the table wasnt cleaned either. We walked from table to table and finally settled on one of the benches that was somewhat decent.If you would like, they do have lots of outdoor seating and tables made of cement so probably less dirty.As the owner, I would like to let you know that the cushions inside your establishment should get a deep cleaning, just saying.

A very cool little friendly coffee shop with great sitting space outside along a little stream.

I come here occasionally for coffee and its good. Its a cozy space to relax and chat with a friend, indoors or out. Recently though, I ordered a cake for my 3 year old sons birthday. We wanted to get something good, not from a grocery store or something junky but didnt want to spend an arm and a leg either. They made us a chocolate sheet cake with Oreo frosting and crushed Oreos on top to look like a dirt for a construction theme. They also made some grass around the edges. I went to pick it up and it wasnt finished due to a lapse in communication but it ended up getting done within about an hour and when I saw it, it was perfect. I ended up decorating the rest of it with trucks and candy. It was awesome. The cake itself was delicious. Its probably the best cake Ive ever had and everyone at the party thought it was a really good too, including my son. A definite hit and I would absolutely order a cake again.

One of the best Butter croissants 🥐 ever had in my life ! It was full of butter, flavor and delicious. Picked up some other great pastries for breakfast and desserts later in the day. We will be back. Great patio to sit outside and very friendly service. Our new gem so close to home.

Id previously only grabbed a coffee or a baked food from here. The experience was lovely...but today I had the pleasure of experiencing one of their hot sandwiches made on their in house fresh focaccia bread. Holy hell, not only was the bread unbelievable-light, crispy, flaky, soft-but the turkey was superbly tender and moist and the tomato was crisp and fresh. Killer sandwich. You must try it.

May I just say the coconut caramel cupcake was to die for! The best treats & service around. Highly recommend.

Very hippy style coffee shop. Good atmosphere, good coffee. But definitely overpriced food. Ordered a bacon and cheddar quiche, which costs 5 bucks and it basically had no egg or bacon. Still hungry after I left. Coffee is reasonably priced when compared to other similar places.

Stopped in when passing through Milbury and has a good experience, very friendly staff and good coffee and red velvet cake!

Cute little place however we ordered a sandwich and they forgot to make it. Then when it was recognized by staff they made it but never addressed the 15+ minutes we waited for our order. This was not a time that they were busy, only had a few customers. If you mess up that’s fine but acknowledge that the customer has been waiting for their order and at the least apologize for the long wait. Terrible customer service experience.

Delicious drinks and treats. My 3yr old loved getting to choose his own treat from the giant case. We will definitely be back!

I got a birthday cake here recently wasn’t impressed. I asked for a pink cake and the whole cake was white with one strip of pink around the cake. Yea they show you the cake before you leave, but the cake was pretty on top and decided well maybe it will taste better. Nope. Its like the cake had been frozen and they just took it out. The frosting was sweet and almost like curdled. The cake was just ok but barely any carrot flavor. I was going to get my money back but people had already tried the cake. Im disappointed

The Cake Shop Cafe never disappoints! We have had their croissants, s’mores bars, iced teas, cupcakes, and most recently an AMAZING Avengers themed custom-made cake! Pictures don’t even do it justice...the amount of detail is incredible and it tasted just as good as it looked! The employees consistently go above and beyond, are always friendly and helpful, and clearly very talented!

Picked up my custom cake today and was highly impressed! Gave the shop a couple elements to add to the cake and they whipped up something perfect!!! Will order again, highly recommended!

Nice place to hang out, with friends, or with oneself Has a hole in the wall feeling, but with a touch of the modern. They have an outside seating area in the back, which Im sure will be awesome in the summer.Im coming back atleast once, and definitely in the summer!

I have been to The Cake Shop twice recently. It is off the beaten path but a path well worth taking. The staff is super friendly and not pushy if you are one of those people who take forever to decision what you want (that’s me).The break and lunch selection is a good variety f health and comfort. They have a large coffee and drink selection as well. I love the the look of the menu being overhead but it never works for someone who cannot see distances especially since lights always create glare. I would recommend a pick up paper menu for the people who have issues with seeing distances.They also doing specialty cakes and wedding cakes. I have not trued them but my mouth was watering looking at them. A friend said they were awesome.They make everything on site and it is very fresh. I had a banana muffin which was yummy and a smoothie. The smoothie was good but next time I would go for milk rather than the yogurt. I hope this place does really well as it is truly a gem tucked away.

Came in today and had a really good cheesecake bar and I had a taste of the cookie Oreo brownie bar and it was delicious! I love the open space with comfy chairs and this place also has a huge selection of beverages! I will definitely be back.

Always satisfied. Terrific full bodied coffee, London Fog is fabulous. Pastries are so tempting and tasty. Spinach salads for lunch. A comfortable place to sit inside or enjoy the patio on nice days.

Best little gem in Millbury. Their coffee and treats are great, the atmosphere is friendly and cozy and they host a number of events that you would hope a little coffee shop would. A great place to go relax and hang out with a few friends.

What a great place. It was freezing outside but the cafe was warm in temperature and energy. My three year old loved the space which had a great selection of books and tots to keep her attention while my wife and I enjoyed delicious coffee and baked goods. A real gem.

Just discovered this gem! Beautiful, cozy atmosphere. The quilts on the walls and the couch seating are so inviting! I will be visiting again soon. My egg white- almond pretzel bun was delightful. If you have not been here, you are definitely missing out.

Michele from The Cake Shop is an Amazing cook! Everything in her shop is homemade and it is amazing (did I say that already?!). She also specializes in special order cakes so if you have a special event coming up or you just want some great food (sandwiches too!) in a great atmosphere, this place is a must stop!

This is one of my favorite places in Millbury. The space is warm and inviting, even with the high ceilings and industrial feel from being in an old mill. Theres always subtle music playing keeping the place lively.For those planning to stay a while and read, study, or work remote for the day, theres good WiFi available and plenty of seating with AC outlets that also have USB ports to keep your electronics toppled off.The pastries, from bagels and muffins to more unique offering like Smores bars and kitchen sink brownies, are absolutely delicious. They even have some dairy free and egg free options for those with dietary restrictions.Whats a cafe without drinks? The coffee is always fresh and the espresso drinks are on point. If theres something youre unfamiliar with, the staff is knowledgeable and can help answer any questions.Finally, be adventurous and check out the rest of the menu, too. They have superb sandwiches and fresh smoothies with many types of dairy alternatives available.

The Cake Shop is awesome. The food and coffee/smoothies are delicious amd taste fresh. Im a big fan of the Thai Iced Coffee and the pretzel buns taste so good. Its a little pricy (think Starbucks) but its a local business and tastes better. The staff is very nice and attentive, and the wait for a sandwich is not that long. Theres also pastries and breakfast treats already made if youre in a rush. Definitely my go-to coffee shop.

Had a birthday cake from here. Horrible. All heavy frosting and almost no cake. What cake there was, crumbled into nothingness. No flavor in any of it. It was embarrassing to even serve it. Most took one or 2 bites and threw it out. I can not recommend getting a cake here.Update: Thank you for actually reading reviews that people post. I appreciate your response. I could contest it line for line but that would not change anything. I also appreciate the resolution to my disappointment with the cake on my birthday by means of a refund. This place has awesome food - pizza, sandwiches, croissants and more! The cafes decor was very modern and open. They have open mic nights some nights and the staff is very friendly! Theres even a rewards program.

Was excited to try a new cafe!! Walked into a hostile environment where an employee was very vague when I asked her questions and gave attitude when checking out. Most uncomfortable experience and frankly, I was astonished at how awkward the encounter was.

I have only known Michelle for a short time but can tell you this, everything I have eaten at the Cake Shoppe Café is absolutely the best and the freshest I have ever had and if you need any catering for any event they will not disappoint and certainly meet your needs.

I ordered and paid for a cake over the phone for my husbands birthday. The service for the ordering process was great and very helpful. The cake itself looked very pretty BUT it tasked awful :( None and I mean none of the 12 guests finished their slice. No one took more than 3 bites. I was very embarased. I ordered a simple vanilla cake and sadly got a dry, crumbly cake. Reading some reviews I see some responces about having to keep the cake in room temeperature from an hour and serve it a certain way. Well the cake was picked up at 5:45 p.m and was not served until 8:30ish at the retaurant. It was not kept in the fridge, it was in the middle of the table in a hot crowded restaurant. The best way to describe it would be that it felt like it was pre maid days in advance. It was beyond dry and flavorless (vanilla cakes have falvor) and the froting OMG was beyond thick and dense. It had 3 tiers with like a 2inch outer layer of fondant and then layers of frosting. Just not good. I feel like a fool paying so much for something that we ended up throwing away :(
