This place has a calm about it. They mean business and it’s not a hang out place, it’s a professional establishment and it’s clean. I came here to see Red and I’m super happy with my experience and how I was treated. Parking was off street, his room was well lit and clean, I didn’t have a bunch of people hanging out staring interrupting him while he was trying to work. I dislike tattoo places that are treated like bars, it should be a sanitary place of business uninterrupted and respectful of paying customers that are getting permanent art on them. I digress, Thank you to the proprietor for being Awesome and knowing what class is and to Red Goat for being an awesome talented artist!
This place is very clean and professional. I have gotten 4 tattoos from Raina and have loved every single one. she’s super light handed, really easy to have a conversation with, and overall- just a great tattoo artist. i highly recommend coming here!
Back in September I got my first larger piece done by Christi. She made the whole experience so amazing!! All I can think about is going to get more done by her. It was quick, she was light handed and the draw up she did is so adorable due to her style!! I will be coming back 🥰🥰💗

I had a great experience at Black Art Society and with Lauren Howard. My expectations were exceeded to say the least. I will be going back to Lauren and after my husband saw my tattoo he can’t wait to schedule an appointment with her as well. I got this tattoo for my daughter that I just had in June (her birth flower and name). Couldn’t be happier!
Amazing! My artist was super sweet and very helpful. She made me feel very comfortable. The whole place just feels like a place to relax and enjoy your time. Its also super clean and beautiful. All in all an amazing experience. I recommend it to my friends when they ask were to get work done.
Crystal Ladyink is such an amazing artist she has a light hand and she is doing my first tattoo. Im getting five roses across my chest and then Im going to get my kids initials in each of the flowers Im so grateful that I went to her to do my first tattoo. Gregory did a peony on my right arm. He was super polite and he did such a good job. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time I was there and he is also light handed. I absolutely enjoyed the work he did and I would recommend him for Neo Japanese to anyone any day. Hes the best.
Such a cool spot with tons of talented artists! Everyone was so nice, friendly and helpful. I met a few artists on my visit there Teddi, Red, Lindsey, Crystal and Lauren. I cant wait to get tattooed by all of them!

I had a wonderful experience here. The atmosphere was friendly and private so you are not surrounded by people. Very clean and beautiful artwork on the walls. Paige was my artist and I cannot say enough about her talent and the gentleness of her technique. Generally as a person, she is very friendly, easy to talk to, and an all around joy. She makes sure that the skin isnt scarred with her light touch and her artistic eye is the reason I chose her. She is worth the wait and I would reccomend this studio to anyone looking for a new artist or to anyone getting their first tattoo.
Craig Gillispie took amazing care of me. Consultation of what I wanted and didn’t want, he drew me up an amazing tattoo. He was so profession and answered all my questions during the tattoo placement. I love my new tattoo! I would recommend him anytime!
Randi came through as a recommendation from a close friend and shes failed to disappoint. Cant stop recommending her for color work.Wife wanted a grey scale elephant and Christy Marie came in as a recommendation from Randi. The attention to detail was great and this piece is her favorite to this day.Each artist here is extremely skilled and theyll make sure to schedule you with one that specializes in the style youre looking for.
If there were more than 5 stars to give, I would give more. Lets start with the shop.. its unique, unlike any shop Ive been to. Every room has its own style and its very clean. I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Donell. I went in for a cover up on my ankle and left with an absolute masterpiece! He completely came up with the idea on his own, I just told him the things I liked and its more than anything I could have dreamed of. He was patient, extremely thorough and entertaining. He is also very light handed. I am very pleased for such a wonderful experience.
I had an amazing experience with the black art society! Paige Jean did my tattoo to cover some scars and I am super happy with the outcome! The studio was very clean and professional. Paige was very nice and very comfortable to be around. I am definitely getting another tattoo from her!

Excellent environment. Not loud. Not chaotic. For a tattoo parlor the place was rather soothing. Very responsible with social distancing. An awesome no pressure staff. Amy is an incredible artist and a solid addition. Definitely not a stereotypical tattoo shop. Not muggy, grimy or dingy. Very quiet and calm. It smelled good! Good experience great work and art. I think I found my permanent tattoo residence.
This is a beautiful shop! The atmosphere is lovely. I just got my second tattoo from Paige and already booked another appointment with her. She does amazing work and is so talented. Shes also easy to talk to while getting tattooed. Id highly recommend checking out this shop.

Lindsey is absolutely amazing!! This is my sons first large piece (sleeve) she was so great to work with him, answering all his questions and even drawing her idea out on his arm so he’d be comfortable and confident in their collaborative ideas.

Paige is the best tattoo artist! Ive looked for a long time for someone who can truly nail certain sketch designs and she can. The place feels pretty dang cool and its just my go to tattoo place now.
I worked with Paige and the experience was AMAZING! The piece I got is beautiful and she was so great to work with. I had a piece custom designed by a local artist and Paige was able to make it perfect for me. She was fast, super comfortable to work with, and at an excellent price. I have a decent amount of ink done and take pride in the work I get. it took me a bit of research before I finally found Tiff. She is well versed not only in her paper art work but also putting it to skin. I am 100% satisfied with working with her. She is not pushy and very good at bringing you creation to life. if you need any work done at all Tiff is you artist.

Tiff is super talented and she is sweet!I gave her and idea of what I wanted and I knew it was gonna come out beautiful but it came out better then expected. ( the healing turned out a lil off so i did a second session and i still need to get it touched up)For a touch i was told I’d have to pay more then i thought. A lot of artist i know give free touch ups to make sure the their work turned out great. This was a lily toe disappointing.But Tiff is sweet

There truly are no words that could honestly portray how amazing this shop is! Ive gotten tattooed by a few shops in the past and I must say not only is Black Art Society the most cleanlisest shop its also filled with amazing artists. I came to Dee to cover up a tattoo of my ex. I came to him in a time of healing. I needed something meaningful to show the beauty of change and healing. Dee was the perfect Artist to take on the task. I couldnt be more happy with my cover up piece. Dee was very personable and caring. I will be coming to to him for any future tattoos! Thanks Dee!

Had an amazing experience with Greg at Black Art, I was nervous about my first sleeve session. He was lighthanded, efficient, clean and an easy dude to chat with for 4 hours. After the appointment I didnt feel like raw meat, and I would gladly recommend him and the shop to anyone looking for incredible work.

I have worked with Paige twice now, and I dont see myself going to any other artist. She made my first tattoo experience so easy and stress free, I was honestly stunned. I was not nervous on the day because I knew exactly what I was getting and I had complete trust in her. She is super easy to work with, gets equally excited about the tattoo, and creates art that is better than you could even imagine. I highly reccomend this shop, but more specifically Paige.

Ive been in search of a artist who could do a dedication portrait for my late mother, and Donell was the artist I choose. His work is amazing and I knew as soon as I seen it he was the man for the job. Today was my first session and to be honest Im beyond amazed by the results so far Ive got another session booked for a few weeks and Im ecstatic on how itll look when finished. Donell is very professional, passionate and a caring individual and Im blessed and thankful to have found him. The portrait of my mother so far is beyond words seeing it today put tears in my eyes.
