Loved my time in this store. Had a good conversation about all kinds of video games while also getting a reasonable offer for all my games I brought in. Dont remember the name of the dude helping me on Saturday, but I had the impression he owned the place with how proud he seemed to be of his work and the store. Turns out he wasnt the owner which impresses me MORE! Great staff, good selection, fair prices. I will end up being a regular Im sure 😁

Thank you!For a place thats called DVD Game eXchange, why couldnt I make an exchange?Last Saturday, I was in the market for a PS2 controller and DVD Game eXchange had a ton of used PS2 controllers. Instead of letting me pick the one I want (since each used item is unique), the guy picked the controller for me where the start button doesnt even work. And even then, the buttons are well worn out and I know they have a better PS2 controller. So I went back the next day theyre open and because of a policy reason I dont understand, I cant exchange my controller (the one I just bought from them) for a different one. And while the guy fixed the start button, I left ultimately unsatisfied because I know they have a better PS2 controller than the one they gave me.

Honestly this is the place to go for older games. Bought an original Xbox from here and havent had any issues. Employees know what they are doing and talking about

Decent selection of nostalgia / novelty items, but couldnt even budge on knocking an item down $5 while Im a hurting college student. No disrespect, but would have liked a little wiggle room to work with when the item I was purchasing is listed as $49 they charged me $70. Be careful with your business. Even GameStop doesnt price gouge this hard.

They have all the games you cant find at places like GameStop. And even if GameStop has them, this store beats them by price BY FAR. I was able to buy Black Ops 2 for the PS3 and they had like 3 of them in stock for just $20. While at GameStop its $30 and rarely in stock. I recommend giving this store a visit at least once or twice a month. Maybe even more.

Nice place with a good selection and friendly staff. Prices are usually pretty good. The only thing I could complain about is that they dont have old Atari cartridges and what not but thats really stretching for a nitpick here. If youre into retro games, definitely check these guys out.

Their prices are reasonable, probably a little better than GameStop. They have a much better selection of old games and consoles (original Xbox/PS2 era) than new stuff. Although they have four large racks of DVDs, its mostly really common movies you can find anywhere. They do have some Blu Ray stuff, but its really limited. My take is if youre looking for movies and games more than ten years old, youll find lots of interesting items here at good, not amazing prices. If youre looking for newer items, the selection is really limited, but you may be able to find one or two things worth your time and money.

Weve stopped by pretty frequently to sell some games and movies and the gentleman that runs the counter is always very nice. Hes extremely helpful and very friendly. He always starts conversation and aksed if we need any help finsing anything no matter how busy its been.

Great selections, garbage service. Bought 2 used controllers, hadn’t even left the parking lot and realized they wouldn’t work for my use. Employee refused refund, that’s fine as all sales are final. Employee kept saying there’s nothing he can do and is just following policy. Again, that’s fine, I understand that. Asked to speak with a manager and after a phone call to another store, we were told we could exchange them for one brand new controller of equal value that would work for our use. Fine, not ideal, but if those are the policies/rules I understand.By this point though, there are other customers behind us getting frustrated and as I’m leaving the store I see on the receipt that EXCHANGES ARE ALLOWED(given certain circumstances, which had been met). Why was this option not brought up before I asked to speak to a manager/owner? Would have saved myself, himself, and other customers time and frustration. I don’t see myself using this place again.

I walked in the store and they had hand sanatizer ready. Then I saw one other customer who wasnt wearing a mask and the employee who wasnt wearing a mask either. Very off putting.I went in looking for a Nintendo 64/games and Switch games. The employee didnt welcome me or ask what I was looking for.Their Switch games were way over priced. You can buy a used game from them for 50. Not a good deal in my opinion.They didnt have retro consoles that I could tell but I didnt stay too long because they werent wearing masks.

I visited this little shop one day while wandering around with a friend. It is a neat little company with excellent staff and service. If you are looking for a game or movie, I would check here first. Unlike bigger names like Gamestop or FYE, where the prices are often inflated and service is lacking. I not only though the prices here were reasonable, but a bargain! They are a smaller shop so selection is limited but they were also eager to help track down something from another location if they didnt have what you were looking for in stock.

Ashton gives excellent customer service. Hes helped me to locate games and movies I was looking for. He has also been great with suggesting different items based on things i was looking for. If they didnt have what I needed he would refer me to the other location and even offered to call them for me. The store is always clean and organized. The prices are great and the staff is excellent. I highly recommend this location!

I’m not too much into gaming. At all. But a small part of me has ALWAYS wanted another N64, so I can play the original Mario cart. The only game I know how to play 😬I have purchased from these owners before and decided since I was going to Utah, I’d make the trip to one of their stores again.GREAT customer service. Prices I couldn’t argue with & they had everything I wanted and more too!They made sure, in front of me that everything worked, he showed me how to hook up to the tv & said if I struggled at home doing it- he’d talk me through it. Doesn’t get any better.❤️

Kept getting a read error on my Wii game. Tried washing it a dozen different ways and even paid Grey Whale $3 to clean, and still no luck. I took it to these guys and they ran it through their machine for FREE, and tested it working. Brought it home and she works! Couldnt be happier.Ive bought some N64 titles from here (titles change constantly), and I will definitely be back. Good place if you like vintage gaming stuff. The old skool arcades on free play are a nice bonus. Highly recommend.

Owner cares about his customers experience.I recently had a bad experience coming in and buying a pre-owned 3DS that had several issues that didnt appear until I took it home.Initially, I wasnt happy with the response I got from the tech at this location but the owner got involved to resolve the issue and I am happy with the resolution.Awesome selection in the store, obscure titles abound

Had a great experience today with this store. I called in asking about a couple of video games and they had 3 in store which was awesome. I asked him if he could put them on hold until arrived and by the time I got there the games were already ready and put aside. I always like buying video games from these guys since I know that they are always in working condition and they usually have some rare games that I’m always looking for!

Went to DVD Game eXchange and bought some games and controllers for our xbox 360. We left with a kinect, 5 new games, and 2 controllers! Theyve got games in great condition, and even if not, theyll repair them for $1! The person helping us gave a disc repair on the house, the store was nice and tidy, everything was nice and cheap, but not bad! Will definitely go there again.

Hell give you a fair price every time just go in there with no expectations of how much youll get and you will walk away happy

Just walked in for the first time and all I could say is; wow. Super clean, well orginzed, welcoming atmosphere and the video game placements make looking for your game search simple and easy. I was greeted with a warm welcome by Ethan, the store clerk, and he made the whole shopping experience fun and super simple. I had no problem finding what I was looking for, and Ethan also suggested some great games for me to have a look at. Most game stores dont have employees that are true gamers, and know how to run a business, but I can honestly say that DVD GAME EXCHANGE hires only true gamers at heart, so they know exactly what youre looking for, and more! They also give the best bang for your buck when trading in your games, and DVDS. You wont get a better deal anywhere else. I really like how they try to work with what you have, and are honestly and earnestly upfront with what they can do for you. This is a great place dont get me wrong. but their prices are much higher than others. I also hate that I bought a membership card for discounts which they canceled even though it was a lifetime card. If youre looking for cheaper prices check graywhale or game changerz. If you dvd game exchange decide to respond I know times are rough but getting rid of a discount card someone has bought in 2017 is sad.

I am fixing my review because it was all my fault for the misunderstanding. they have good games and they can fix most games really well and i was just annoyed because of my own misunderstanding. i appreciate these guys for clarifying what i didn’t seem to understand.

I have been here dozens of times. Ethan is the rep I normally see there and I have a great experience with his service every time. The place has great prices and deals and is the best place in the state in my opinion for finding great new games.

I had traded-in: one broken GameCube, a white 128MB GameCube memory card, 7-9 PS4 Games (The Evil Within, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, Days Gone, Little Big Planet 3, Dark Souls 3 All content, Star Wars Battlefront 2) to name a few.Two PS2 games, one Wii game (Spectrobes Origins), one Gameboy Advance game (Digimon Racing), and a DSI car adapter.For a grand total of $25.00.The in-store employee did NOT say anything about their return policy nor did he tell me how much each item was... Or wanted to.I had to constantly ask how much are you giving me for this game alone? After leaving DVD-GameeXchange, I went to the West Jordan GameStop to discover that 3 of the games (Id traded-in at that store) ALONE were being traded back for 7-10 dollars a pop. I drove back to DVD-GameeXchange to discover that the store closes at 7:00 pm.So, I left a voicemail and sent an email later that night.Jeremiah Griswald or Samuel Mason, whoever contacted me via email saying Our goal is to be competitive with our offers. I am not clear as to why the offer ended at $25, and although we cannot undo the deal, we will cheerfully increase the offer from $25 to $40. I will make the staff aware to pay an additional $15 upon your return to the store. Please make time for it this week. I replied Well, thats not what your website says. I WANT a full refund. Not a credit, not a discount, A refund. Nowhere on the website and/or store itself, is a sign saying No Refunds. Ive never heard of a VIDEO GAME store NOT giving back a customer their items. Im coming back to the store today but not for $15.00 dollars, for a FULL REFUND.Jeremiah Griswald or Samuel Mason replied I understand. So this is what were going to do; you are banned from the store. I love how nice and clean this store is! If youre a retro gamer like me this is paradise cause their selection is on point. You never have to worry about the condition of their discs cause they have a machine that completely restores the disc to get rid of scratches or damage. I think I found my new retro store. 😄

This place is pretty awesome! They have stuff here for sale that I havent seen for thirty years. They have a great mix of the old and the new.

I am a regular here, staff is great, games are really good quality. They fix many consoles and electronics. Disk repair is A quality, I come here all the time to buy and sell them the rare stuff.

Love the store. Selection is great, and Im impressed with the overall layout. Very colorful, and inviting. Theyve got a sweet 6 player X-Men arcade cabinet that I could spend hours on. Its worth checking this place out.

I really like the layout of this store. They have a sweet life size Sam Fisher too. Its also nice to see somewhere that has competitive prices compared to the other local stores. Ill definitely be back.

Its great to have a store like this still around. DVDs and games are priced well. They have a large selection of all kinds of games and game systems. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have some really cool stickers to choose from and my kids and I always go in to get a few when we are in the area.

Ive been to their other two locations, but have really taken a liking to this one. Cool displays, including a life size Han Solo up by the front counter. Definitely worth checking out.

Love the store. I used to always go to the Orem location. I just moved to Taylorsville and was thrilled to see that a West Jordan location had opened up. I just went in for the first time today and was very impressed by the selection. I bought a few X Box 360 games I have been really wanting. I missed the name of the employee, but he was helpful and very friendly, with the other customers as well as me. We talked about games for a bit during checkout, and he made it a good experience. Being honest here, I was disappointed. The pricing is just not very competitive, the selection is limited and the vibe seems to be stuck in the early 2000s with music from the era.I am not saying you wont find some good games here, it is just that you will find better pricing online or even in other competing brick and mortar stores. I had high hopes, but quickly lost them. I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I can’t believe I forgot to review! I only review places that are terrible or excellent. This place is excellent. They repaired my PS4 cd drive for a good price, they have excellent communication, good pricing, and a very friendly staff. No reason to not go here.

So brought my ps4 controller in and explained exactly what was wrong and what was needed to fix it.... Took them a week and then when o got home they had not fixed it at all.... I called to let them know. Was told they let some guy that shows up whenever to fix it. So couldnt talk to him. They took my phone number to call me back let me know whats what. Never called and basically got screwed and paid them for nothing..... Warning if you go there....... Never had too write a bad review..... Person at the counter was nice and not her fault. This is all on the business quality in my opinion. Wont be returning.....

An awesome store for gamers both retro and current. They have a good selection, and their prices are really good. I have an app that keeps track of the going rate of retro games, and every time I visit their shop, their prices are either a bit below the going rate, spot on, or maybe a few bucks higher (which I am willing to pay a few bucks above ebay for a local shop experience). But their prices are very reasonable and fair, their staff is really nice and helpful, the store is really clean and well organized...and be sure to get your picture taken with their awesome Sam Fisher statue.

Best used game store Ive been too. Always have something cool for a fair price and their pre-owned consoles are great! Found this awesome Detective Pikachu Amiibo in great condition here. Super happy!

Suprisingly good selection, especially for things like PS2&3 games (lacking in N64 and older, but thats kinda par for the course), plus good selection for controllers and hardware.The staff are nice, and have even fixed cartridge games for me.Also the prices are fair. Many are at or under what I would pay if I ordered or bid online

Same great service as the other location. This location has a really nice display case for the retro carts. Good selection which varies every time I go in due to trade in. Prices are reasonable as well. Loyalty program is worth signing up for.

It may not look like much, but I saw exactly the movie I was looking for literally the second I walked in! Plus just seeing all the vintage games on the walls and in the displays available for cheap was pretty awesome!

Much better than it was a few years ago. The menu is updated and the food is great. We didnt spend more than were used to either.

Popped in yesterday and was very impressed with their collection. Theyre local and still pretty new so their selection is only going to accrue more treasures in the future. The selection is amazing and the pricing is super fair. Definitely worth visiting for anything new and old. I found so many things that I grew up with. 100% do not regret visiting.

They have all kinds of retro AND new games. They also told me that they have a resurface guarantee for the cds of the games I buy above 20 dollars since they should work.All in all it is a much better version of gamestop in my opinion. I really hope that they give them a lot of competition.

This store has fair pricing, a wide selection, and great employees. The decor is awesome as well, they have a bunch of game related posters, magazines, etc lining the walls. We have gotten disks repaired here and they run great and look new. They also offer repair services for controllers. We took our GameCube controllers in and Ethan replaced the control sticks and cleaned them for us as well. They have a membership program for $10/year and it pays for itself in the discounts you get if you go there enough. Ethan is super awesome and makes an effort to get to know his customers personally.

Absolutely fantastic prices, shopping local (well Im not local but still) has never been so appealing. Courteous staff and a good selection that skews forwards more modern retro systems but will has plenty of games from prior decades. A great stop for a new title with my only complaint being I wish they had more 3DS/DS titles to choose from.
