The appointment / in door experience is great! I was able to go with 3 friends as a group of four. It was a great hangout for us friends and was totally upgraded by the two owners. The owners chatted with us each and helped us catch up on stuff for ourselves as adults and our kids. (Sidenote: after the comic shop we got takeout and read comics, it was like a hangout from the 90s again!)

Love this place!! The new In-Store Experience appointment service works great for me. Its awesome to get the whole store reserved for you and a few friends to talk comics n life with the wonderful proprietors of this fine establishment.

Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, The selection is great you can find what you need here ( comics,collectives ) plenty of parking and easy access.

It’s easy to make an in-store appointment. It’s the only place I know of that you can get the whole place to yourself.

Everytime I drive by the shop, the sign says appointment only, even though everything opened up, I understand at the beginning of the pandemic. But I shouldnt have to make a full appointment just to get into a comic store.

My go to LCS. Mark and Francie are great. Wonderful people. They truly know their stuff. I used to shop at other places until I found Black Cat. They treat everyone with respect and are willing to go beyond to make the customer happy. As long as they keep going, they will always have me as a customer. Check out their comic Black Cat Chronicles. It is a great read also.

More than a month since everything opened and these guys are still doing appointment only. RIDICULOUS

Havent been to the store itself as I live out of the area, but I recently ordered a collection online from them, that I couldnt find locally. Im super impressed with not only how quickly they processed and shipped my order, but also by how well packaged it was. Everything arrived perfectly with no damages in the 600+ mile journey! Thank you for helping me complete my collection! 😁

As a comic collector, when I travel somewhere for work I like to check out local shops. My girlfriend is from the area and told me to check Black Cat out. Nice shop with a majority of modern back issues. They had a pretty good selection of new releases and a lot of collectibles. Dudes who were running the shop have their customer service on point. Its good to go into a foreign shop and still have it feel like home.

A nice cozy comic book shop with some action figures and memorabilia. Staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.

This is a great shop! Both of the owners are extremely friendly, as well as their whole staff. Not to mention that everyone in there is a comic guru. If you want to dive in deep on some old comics or keep it light, everyone there is great to talk with. They have an amazing selection of books and can special order stuff for you if you need something. Their subscription service is a major plus as well. No matter where I live, Ill be a black cat comic customer for life. Definitely stop buy and check these guys/gals out

Friendly place with an assortment of comics and gear. My kids love going here and checking out the place on the weekend. They do have a small all ages section, and it would be nice if there were a few more comics in that section.

This is my LCB and I love it! Its a small place with the usual run of comics but also some great memorabilia, poster, figures etc. The staff is super friendly and generally pretty awesome people. They also know their stuff so theyre good people to talk to about comic recommendations.

Dedicated to the community (free comic book day woot!) and fairly priced. Loved my visit!

This is one of the Bay Areas best and most beloved comic stores! The owners are also wonderful members of the community who care deeply about their staff and customers. They are very friendly, and go above and beyond for their subscribers. They also have great events and activities, like their Pre Comic Con, Free Comic Book Day, or Halloween Comic Fest. As a consumer, I have never once had a bad experience there. Thank you, Black Cat!

We absolutely love this place. You wont find comics any cheaper or any better deals in the bay area. (Trust me, we have searched from Frisco thru east bay) Their membership is so awesome to the point that we moved to SoCal and just have them ship us our comics. Its super helpful that their system keeps track of everything ever bought, so if you ever forget which last edition you picked up, they can look it up for you. They are constantly having deals or some special event going on throughout the year. And the staff is beyond amazing. They are always super friendly and helpful. And it doesnt hurt that each of them has a wide knowledge of various comics. So if you ever have questions or need suggestions, they have answers.

Hands down the best comicbook store in the southbay. Is it big? No, but the entire staff treat you with respect and make sure you get the books that you want. My wife who knows nothing about comic books came with me and walked out with a few. They never bash books even if they dont personally like them; nor do they shove books down your throat. I love Black Cat Comics.
