Very nice staff. Gloves are on sale but I picked up the wrong ones. The clerk helped me find the ones on sale. Waterproof snow gloves.$13.. August 2020 the store is closing. Good deals on clothing and shoes. Not much else is there. Store closed in October.

Went in for my roller skates and was not that easy to find they were hidden in the back. Of course not everyone is looking for old school skates. But I reached up and grabbed them being 54. There wasnt anyone on the floor, but kudos to the cashier who was nice and friendly. Sorry Big 5 but you should have 1 person on the floor you were not that busy...

This store is a small big 5 but it has everything jam packed in there. Lots of fun stuff if youre sporty or outdoorsy. I purchased a set of weights and a bench from here. It was a great price and all I really needed for a small addition to a home gym.

This place has been here ever since i could remember. I like this location because its not overcrowded and there are usually some good sales going on. I made a good amount of purchases here from footballs, clothes, shoes, camping gears and so on. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices seems to be fair compared to other sporting goods.

All I wanted was a simple, basic pair of sweat pants. I went to three other places and this was my last hope. (For the life of me, I was NOT going to Walmart. I will hit the gym naked before I do that. And no one wants that.) --- And I found what I needed! Simple, cheap, serviceable, sweat pants. Just what I wanted, and just what Target and Dicks completely failed to provide.

Great experience and service. Staffs were helpful and friendly. Selection is not bad. I buy all my ammunition and shooting supplies here. All of the managers especially Peter and Eric are knowledgeable. Good deals on sporting rifles are found in thus store.

I went to this Big 5 in Milpitas looking for shoes. I found only one pair of shoes I kinda liked. I had the associate check in back for my size. No luck! Half size smaller or larger. He did offer to check another store but I declined. I will go to one of these other locations at some point.

Pete was the floor manager tonight. He made us very happy. Our purchase was fast and easy. Bought a pump shotgun. Very knowledgeable. Am very appreciative of his quality in customer service. I would visit this location again because of Pete. I live in San Jose which is easily a 20 min drive. Once again Pete is highly recommended. I do customer service for a living and that is how Id treat my customers and would love to be treated. Thank you Pete once again! U made us happy consumers.

Helpful and product knowledgeable employees. They usually have decent sales going on and their regular pricing and selection are good also. Much better than dealing with Bass pro employees.

Friendly staff. Got helped for cleats by Ann-Marie (or was it Marie-Ann?). Not many were on display but she managed to find a bunch of good models (not all of them were on display). Very helpful. Will come Back here for further sporting need.

Sad to see them go. Took a patient here to get womens shoes. Going out of business most of womens shoes are gone.

Two separate occasions I arrive at the store to find they are not able to help me.This last time I arrived an hour after calling to confirm the manager would be in the store and available for a firearm pickup. I arrived to find a replacement manager who was covering for one who had to leave due to an emergency. I asked when they left and he said hours ago. Well before my call to confirm. I asked to pickup my purchase. He informed me he could not deliver it in this store. Only his SJ location. Basically, nothing can be done.After my 30 min drive to the store after verifiying I could pick up the purchase, I was told no. I asked what they would do for me, as they failed at this point, not me. I was offered a $10 coupon for another purchase. Obviously, an insult. I spent $900 be they offer a rejection and a $10 coupon. I asked if I could just refund the purchase and he again told me no, he cant refund in this store. He is a manager in SJ, but it appeared just a body in Milpitas.Im now looking for another store to purchase my item. If I find it in stock, I will make the purchase and refund with Big 5. Customer service is worth more to me than a sale price. If you dont offer service during business hours, adjust your hours or declare different hours for some services.A call into Customer Service resulted in a voicemail and at the time of this review, they were closed. See if they return my message tomorrow and offer something to me for all of this, other than $10.10% would be a start.

Tried to purchase a firearm but the mgr said her password was locked and I should return in 3 days. Came back and was told no mgr available to help me. Came back the next day after I called to confirm mgr is there. When I arrived was told mgr wont be back for at least an hour

Theyre going out of business, so they had bare bones merchandise. Mostly swim items and shoes. The staff told me Chick Fil A bought them out, and will demo and rebuild for the restaurant.

I am impressed with the store- found a few things I like that are made in the USA. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We were at the store 35 minutes before closing, after we came back to Milpitas for an Samuel Ayer Reunion.We were in the back sitting on a bench we put back down on the floor ourselves to use. He had to yell and toss a small thing toward the female worker to get her Attention to help us.She did well after that getting my disabled friend shoes.A man came fly by us and seemed very angry...it was 8:55 pm.He slammed his hand against the door, huffing and puffing.I had to speak out. Sir, that is very unprofessional of you to do as customers are sitting right here, trying on your shoes. It took a minute but after several minutes he came back out.We has other issues after that relating to safety as both of us having issues with our vision.Ill report the rest to corporate Big 5.Milpitas was a small helpful town when we grew up here in the 50s to the mid 90s when we moved.Bring customers come first back..thats what keep repeat business customers coming back for repeat business. Thanks
