My wife and I hired Hannon Home center to replace the counter tops in our kitchen. Bill and Ronda are the greatest. They went to our home and completed a preliminary measurements and walked us through the easy process. They sent us to Surface creations of Vt to choose the tops we wanted. They were so great bringing us through all the surface and design choices. Their installation team was also the best, in and out fast and no mess to clean up after they were done.

Where to begin! We purchased our quartz countertop through a local dealer that uses Surface Creation to install. When the templater came, we were told we would have 1 seam, when the installers arrived, we had five. The problem was with our stovetop, instead of cutting out a hole, just like they do for the sink, they had 2 seams on each side of it. When we objected to this, they said it was the only way it could be done. That is not so, our sons is done without any seams. Also, the sink didnt come the day they came to install. They said it was not ordered by the local dealer. Well, how did they know what size to cut the hole for the sink, if it had not been ordered. Not only that, we picked one out right there the day we went to view. And I have to agree with a review that I read, the sink is CHEAP! I would not recommend buying a sink from them ever. I am sorry that I did not research this more. We had 3 backsplash pieces and all three were different heights. We had a triangle piece that they totally cut wrong. So, they had to come back to take out the backsplashes and triangle piece and the whole side of quartz where the stovetop was, because we would not accept it the way it was. When they finally came to install again with the new pieces, the triangle piece was cut wrong again, even though we had sent back the original piece of our old countertop for them to follow. After a month with no kitchen, it was finally completed. I love my new countertop, but I will never recommend this company to anyone. As I said to our local dealer, we spent a lot of money on this countertop and we wanted it done right.It was not a fun experience at all.ps: We felt bad for the installers. They have to deal with the customers unhappiness because of the terrible craftsmanship that was sent.

Surface Creations is an absolutely wonderful company to work with. They did an outstanding job in every step of making sure our new granite countertop was templated, cut, polished, and installed perfectly in our kitchen. Devyn Wainscott of Surface Creations was phenomenal with emails and patiently walking us through the whole process and answering any and all questions. 60 apartments, and over 20 custom jobs and only one small issue which was fixed immediately. They even do modification work on older tops if a new appliance doesnt fit. Great staff.

I remember when we arrived at the warehouse and there were hundreds of options. After picking a popping blue granite counter, Kitchens By Design, Ali OGrady, and Surface Creations designer Brandy asked what look I desired...soft, clean, water...zen. I found a Silestone quartz, Ocean Jasper, that captured my vision and created a centerpiece for my home. From measurement to delivery, I was so pleased with the customer service and product.

Before finishing my kitchen with $20,000 worth of SC granite, I happened to drop by Home Depot for an unrelated purchase. I saw that they carry the EXACT same stone as Surface Creations, for 30% less INCLUDING installation! Surface Creations is a rip off as are all the contractors who keep using them. The one bathroom we did use SC for, they blew off our (the client!) instructions and listened only to the designer, who made a big mistake in the design despite our warnings. Now were fighting to get our money back since we luckily paid with a credit card. This never happens at Home Depot. Just go there, where they listen to the customer and make it right if things go wrong.

We LOVE our countertops and are so grateful to have Hannon Home Center’s refer them to us. It was an easy process and we are loving the results.

I purchased counter tops through Kitchen World and had a very pleasant experience with the coordinator I worked with. Where it went wrong was the lack of communication and clarification on Surface Creations staffs end. The first error they made was not informing me that I needed to pick out and purchase a sink in advance of them mapping out my counter tops. Apparently this is an assumed detail. So right before my counter tops were installed Surface creations made me purchase an overly priced cheap sink from them. Within the first day of installation the sink rusted and easily leaves imprints that cannot be wiped away. The next error they made was incorrectly telling me where to place supports for the counter tops. They misinformed me on where to place supports and then proceeded to charge me an extra $150 for a return trip. When I called to speak with the manager about this extra fee, I was never called back. I had to call a second time where I spoke to a defensive and belligerent secretary. She told me it was assumed we would know to install supports at least every 3 feet. How is that something that I should be expected to know without any experience in counter top installation? The next issue I had was that the installation crew only left one sink drain. When they returned to finish the counter top installation (many days later) they were asked to bring the second sink drain. Again they forgot and I had to go another day without a usable kitchen sink. My last complaint is that after installation, I have noticed marks in the quartz (that i ended up spending over 5k on) that are unremovable. They are marks that should not be there that were made during installation. This company is absolutely garbage and I would recommend them to no one

We went to Hannon Home Center after deciding to update our kitchen.Bill helped us get everything picked out and ordered quickly, including our countertops from Surface Creations of Vermont. Everything looks great and we could not be happier. The installation went smoothly and on the expected timeline. We would definitely use both Hannon Home Center and Surface Creations against for future projects.

My experience began with Rhonda Hannon, do-owner of Hannons Home Center driving me to the the showroom. The showroom is magnificent and well staffed. There are many slabs of granite from which to choose. The staff is very thorough with helping select edge options. A team came to the house to measure and template the granite for the counter tops. They set an installation date which they stuck to. The men who installed the countertops were professional, neat and very exacting. I was extremely satisfied with the Hannons as well as Surface creations. The reason for four stars is that I would have liked more edging choices.

This is a grade A company. The process from beginning to end was easy and timely. The stone is absolutely stunning. The person who came to measure and laser was totally professional and put me at ease immediately. The 2 young men who came to install were great. They did the entire installation in a couple hours. We went in to select stone and start working with SCoV, but it just went sideways from the start. We were presented with a layout that showed seams EVERYWHERE, including right through our island (which is NOT massive.) There was some sniping debate over which direction veins should run along the counter tops when it turned a corner (our preference was that it kept running in the same direction, so it looked like it was coming from one piece - a STANDARD practice, and we were flat out told we were wrong for wanting it that way. But, ok... they can do that, even if its wrong.) We left feeling off about the whole thing, but they said the Templater would be the one to decide on seams. When more conversation carried forward days later about the seams in our island, they told us they couldnt promise there wouldnt be seams for myriad reasons.I called around to other places, and even talked to friends in the industry who said that SC was out of their minds and NO ONE puts a seam on an island that isnt stupid-big, so not being able to reassure us was just ridiculous, not to mention arguing with us about the design layout. The information I gathered was that SCoVT is used to doing a lot of straight and simple jobs with commercial properties very well, but they havent quite grasped the concept with residential kitchens. I would have to strongly agree with that statement.We ended up going with another local company, who was priced similarly but with far superior customer service and follow through. The drawback of having to wait three weeks for installation instead of one was worth it to NOT go with SCoVT. If theyre this bad up-front when you are READY to put down the money and make it happen, I cant even imagine how they are going forward.
