Went for an emission test and found they stopped doing them due to covid. Funny they do everything else to vehicles. Guess theres a better chance to get covid with an emissions test!

The customer service person I worked with was not particularly friendly. Otherwise, a plug+patch as well as some other service, went quickly and easily as a drop in. I would have like to talk to the tech, but that’s ok. Prices were reasonable and car seems to be working well.

Called in the morning with hopes of fixing a tire that had a slow leak. Got in the same day without any run around and accompanied my schedule. Upon arriving asked how long is the wait. Was told half hour. In and out in 15 minutes. Very courteous with prompt service. Super impressed. Definitely would return again when services are needed and recommend anyone to give them a try.

I have been taking my familys vehicles to Southtown since we moved to WI. I have an older vehicle that requires a lot of work from time to time, and they have been taking amazing care of us. My background is from this industry and know the stress they can endure everyday. Lets face it a service adviser is one the top 50 most stressful jobs in America. Also the Techs are faced with diagnosing and repairing multiple manufactures, I am sure that is not easy. They have earned my TRUST and I am proud to tell people that are having issues with their vehicles to take them to Southtown Tire & Auto. Thank you for all that you do.

I had a tire puncture (flat tire) I removed the tire and put the spare on then drove to Southtown and they plugged up the puncture.In about an hour. Average cost of 30$. I am glad its done I didnt want to drive on the spare (doughnut tire)I have to go (drive) to work tomorrow you know...Also friendly and kind folks there. I recommend you go there for tire service.Thanks for reading this good day.

This place Rocks! I just showed up without an appointment for my Emmisions test and they took me on sight. Took a whole 5-7 minutes. Great friendly customers service they treated this Veteran with respect! Definitely will go back to Southtown Tire & Auto for future business on my Ford F150!

My entire family, including extended family, had been coming here for years and I am here to tell you DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. They are a company not to be trusted. Their customer service is awful. They sell substandard parts and do not stand by their products. We’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars on their service and have had more issues than satisfaction. So disappointing. They overcharge you. Please please please if you have any sense of intelligence DO NOT GO HERE

I would give these guys zero stars if I could.I paid $900 for tires. They leaked like crazy. I took it back and they charged me $84 for valve stems. My old tires didn’t leak air.So now I’m 800 miles away with my new tires and the ride was horrible all the way.I had to have all the tires balanced. Two tires had no weights, one was improperly balanced and the forth was fine.WHAT INCREDIBLE INCOMPETENCEGo to Walmart, you’ll have a better chance of having it done correctly!!!

If your going for an emissions test, do not bother. Due to the virus they are not doing tests. Very little detailed shared when asked.

Went in for battery warranty work and my wife was charged almost $50 for a battery that was 100% under warranty. I dont understand what good the interstate battery warranty is and my wife had to pay charges that were that were not authorized ahead of time. This is super dishonest in my opinion. I never write reviews but if it saves someone what we had happen it is worth it. My hope is they can correct their procedures so this doesnt happen again. Update, after talking further with them about the incident, the part that was not cleared ahead of time was offered to be refunded.

I would rate it lower if I could. Took 2 tires in to have mounted and balanced and the mechanic ground my powder coat off my wheels. When I called and asked about it the guy called me a liar and said that they were like that when I dropped them off. Until he finally asked the mechanic to verify that he actually did do it. Then it was he was trying to help me out. Dont go here!

Staff is the best. My car trunk wouldnt open and needed a rare part to fix it they searched long and hard and they found a good used part and replaced it. Trunk still wouldnt open when I got home so went back. They took another look and discovered there was a wiring issue problem also and fixed it on the spot with no problems. Chip provided excellent service. Couldnt be happier.

I had a couple jobs done here, minor things like an air evap fix and had no issue. Took my car in a month ago for a wheel bearing replacement on both front wheels and its been a nightmare since; less than a month later took the car back only to find the new wheel bearings were already worse than the ones replaced, so they fixed it under warranty. Same day i drove it off the lot, a steering knuckle came loose on the freeway, took it back, they replaced it under warranty. Fine. Less than a week after that job, theres a grinding noise similar to the one my car made when i took it back after the knuckle went out, so i get to take it back again.Im satisfied that theyre owning up to these rerepairs and doing it under warranty, but come on. Ever since i took it in for 1 thing, all these other problems have stemmed forth.

Excellent staff. Reasonable prices, and they pointed out several things that needed to be monitored by me. Some were just maintenance issues, and a few could be safety issues that needed more immediate attention. No sales pressure, just information I should be aware of.

I took my Audi A3 to Southtown to have my front tires replaced due to my passenger tire needing repair. I had to return only roughly under 1k miles later. The drivers side tire pressure had dropped under 20 psi. I explained I was sold used tired by an employee in the store and the front desk worker continued to insist they do not do that. They blamed the issue on my valve and offered to fix it however I pay for the parts/labor. In the end, I was sold a pair of used tires that they stated they do not sell. that right there set a red flag off and expected them to tell me they needed to repair something else and me pay for it. The product numbers on the tires dont even match up with the receipt. As a customer I strongly suggest taking your money else where.

THE BEST AROUND! I have been coming to Southtown Tire & Auto for almost 20 years but I am moving out of state and I will truly miss all the guys here. I was first sent to them by another shop after I was told by yet another shop I needed a new head gasket on my van so when I went to Southtown I told them that was what I had been told. Then Chip called me and told me the head gasket was fine it was something else very minor copared to replacing the head gasket. I knew then I could trust these guys with my vehicle repairs to be honest & fair at resaonable rates. Over the years Chip, Jeff, & Rick and now Kevin have been absolutely wonderful. They treat you like a person not just a way to make extra money. If they see things that should be fixed they let you know if it needs to be done NOW or if it can wait. I have recomended them to all my friends and neighbors to go to these guys and now my son uses them to even though he lives in Racine. I cant say enough good things about them. If you need a great all around shop who is fair and honest please consider these guys. I will truly miss them as my only car guys when I move to Florida (Ive used othe shops in the area whe I couldnt wait or get to them and have been lied to and taken advantage by other shops.) Thanks to all the guys & mechanics at Southtown for all the great years they have woked on all my vehicles. So if you need anything from just a emmisions test to new tires or basic maintenance to a compleat engine rebuild these are the guys to go see first!

I have been taking my car here since Ive owned it. The staff here are good and they do excellent quality work.

Southtowns location is convenient because its on the way to work, so I took my car there for an emissions test. A few months later, my tire was losing air and the reading showed low tire pressure, so I made an appointment to have a patch and plug. I had had the tire filled temporarily elsewhere until I could make the appointment -- clearly, the tire was losing air. I was quoted a price for the patch and plug and after they looked at the car, they informed me that its actually the tire pressure sensor that had to be replaced. I had never heard of a TPS so had no idea what its function was, even though the name is self-explanatory. I signed off on it and then I was told that it comes in two parts, even though both parts are part of the same unit, so of course, I had to pay for the other part. Thats like buying a pair of shoes but being charged extra for the left shoe. Being a woman and having limited time to have this done, I was pretty much a sitting duck, so I signed off on this and had a new TPS installed for $125. A few weeks later, I mentioned this to a family member who is a mechanic after looking up the function of a TPS. He confirmed what I had read: the sole function of a TPS is to monitor tire pressure and send back info to the screen on the dash of the car to alert of low tire pressure. IT WAS DOING ITS JOB! My tire was visibly flat, and the TPS was reporting accurately! So why was it replaced? Well, I called Southtown and was given a roundabout explanation which wasnt going anywhere, and I knew I wouldnt get even a portion of my money back, so I just hung up. Moreover, I never got the defective TPS back! I was in a hurry, I mentioned that I had never heard of a TPS, and they ran with it -- they saw me coming. Shame on Southtowns owner for pulling a fast one! I really thought I had found a reputable mechanic, but I was sorely disappointed.
