Great people, great coffee, and increasingly great food options! This has definitely been the spot to hit up on warm weather days to get work done on a patio, but it’s also great when it’s cold out because of ample indoor seating (and outlets if you’ve got a laptop!). So what about the food? It struck me as odd the first time I saw buttered toast on the menu, but this is not your average bread! It’s so fluffy and buttery, mmm, so good! And if I’m really hungry, I’ll get an egg on top for the perfect choose-your-own adventure breakfast (or midday snack).

I only get coffee here. I do it because the patio is great, I live 20 steps away, and the employees are friendly. They greet me with a smile, look me in the eyes, and carry all the social grace that you hope to find in a 30 second interaction. Remember when that was normal behaviour rather than exceptional? I dont either, but the people schlepping coffee at this joint are great, exceptional in any era.The coffee skews light roast on everything. Sometimes I take it home and put it in the oven for a half hour. Dont let that dissuade you; Im a dark roast fan. Show up at dawn, get a coffee, sit on the patio. The birds and buses will serenade you. Its delightful. If I see you Ill nod in a friendly manner.

Peach ice tea was fine, nothing too special. I did enjoy the strawberry and peach pastry I got. Great outdoor sitting area.

Great coffee, great atmosphere. One of those coffee stops that is the perfect place to get some studying done if youre in school or to just hang out and read a book. Usually quite a few people here whenever I visit, but the staff are pretty quick on getting orders out.

Its a descent place with a decent options for coffee and snacks.

Kinda weird how they prep food to go. Bit messy to eat out of. Definitely not worth $8, doesn’t even fill you up. Cant use the restrooms either. Employees are nice tho, even if they’re clueless on portion sizing

Of all the places I have been to, Kate (one of the master baristas) made the best V60 pour over I have ever tasted! Using there Oasis blend, I could not have been more surprised by the flavor notes from that coffee! Friendly staff, wonderful environment for meet-ups or work sessions, and the brilliant coffee makes this a must visit for coffee fanatics.

Great staff, excellent coffee and espresso drinks, delicious bakery treats and breakfast sandwiches. One of my favorite go-to places before starting my day.

Great service, fun packaging for coffee beans, great atmosphere, great breakfast sandwiches. The packaging for the coffee beans are so much fun and then enticing to buy; we really like the Cherry coffee beans with the unicorn on it. We like the brioche bread on the breakfast sandwich its a really great decision and it pulls it all together that you wouldnt normally find at another coffee shop.

I love Stone Creek Coffee! From their coffee drinks to their bakery items to their philosophy. And the Downer location is my favorite place to do work, especially when the weather is nice.

Lovely atmosphere and architecture. Delicious food menu and coffee. Great customer service. Only down fall is how packed it always is and that makes it hard to find seating. I loved it when they had the Costa Rican breakfast sandwich, but they changed their menu. Other food items I had were the yogurt, waffles, almond croissants, and other breakfast sandwiches; all were flavorful. Just a tad bit pricey for the portions.

This place is great. The staff, food, and drinks are always superb. My fav food item is the avocado and toasted chic pea. I normally get that and a fruit tray for breakfast.This place is made for getting work done. They have several good seating areas. They have plenty of seating options including indoor, outdoor, high-top, small and big tables, and even a couch with tables in front of it! Lots of chargers too so no worries there.I highly recommend this location - I sometimes work from 6am-5pm and noone has bothered me about it yet.

LOVE their indoor/outdoor patio. When I discovered this over the summer of Covid last year, it became my go to place to work outside. Great drinks and the food is underrated. Decent amount of outlets and wifi is reliable.

I visited on grand opening day, excited to have a better local option to the shopworn coffee chain 2 blocks away.Service here was good, coffee was very good, and my breakfast was too. Staff was personable. The store and outdoor patio are very well designed and comfortable. There is also a walk up window at the sidewalk that was very popular.

I love this place! Its so easy for coffee shops, especially near universities, to become super precious hipster dens and this one has NOT. Friendly and welcoming staff and a relaxing atmosphere. As someone who drinks ice tea rather than coffee, I appreciate the year round availability of some truly delicious tea (I highly recommend the peach). Oh, and really good music.

Visited Stone Creek today, and as a Downer resident, I will no longer be going to Starbucks. Food was amazing, pictured are the gruyere ham and egg waffle, and the blackbean sandwhich. The space is beautiful, and the patio is amazing as well, however, it seems a bit chaotic when ordering inside, seems as though there is no direction of where to go or where to wait, and also our food was dropped off separately with a few minute gap between. Im sure these things will be ironed out, but regardless, highly recommend! :)

Love this new location of Stone Creek Coffee on Downer! The outdoor space is beautiful and has lots of seating available! There is lots of free parking within the neighborhood and this Stone Creek even has a cute outdoor “to go” counter where you can order your drink right away without having to go inside. Love the little recombobulation area sign outside since it is so true to the MKE airport! ☕️

Friendly staff, drinks are well made, the interior and exterior architecture is perfect, and the food is delicious.The berries and granola is seriously so good. I could eat it all day.It can be a little busy so grab the first seat you can get your hands on!

I absolutely love everything about stone creek coffee, especially the downer st. location. The staff are wonderful, and they pay attention to their customers and treat me as someone they personally know. They are caring, very good at what they do, and invite sincere conversation while they prepare your order. I also appreciate their support for the LGBTQ community, as I am a transgender person new to the community myself, the staff make me feel so welcome and safe from judgement etc. I could go on and on with endless praise, I feel that strongly about the company. Oh, and the coffee is always perfect! Keep up the great work!

Amazing place for coffee. They were really helpful during Covid to lift up mood. They have a nice sitting place outside which one can enjoy while having thier coffee, they have good spacious sitting arrangements in the shop too. I ha e always seen a line outside it, it seems most people like the coffee.

I pre-ordered a coffee for this morning before work. The online ordering process was a breeze! When I went to pick it up, the signage made it super easy to know what window to go to and the staff member was very friendly. They covered my coffee top with a sticker too, which I appreciated and made me feel extra confident in their new safety procedures. Theyve been super thoughtful in their reopening and I think a walk to Stone Creek will be my Friday tradition now. Thank you guys!

A cute coffee shop with well implemented covid precautions, outdoor seating may be a problem come winter though!Great waffle, not sure what they used in the battery but it was a sweet waffle even without syrup. I just wish for $7.50 there was more of it!

The food is on the expensive side for what you get. The coffee and tea are delicious with a wide variety of options. Stone Creek always has rotating syrup flavors to match whats in season; these are worth a try. My personal favorite speciality item is the Cream City Ice!!

SCC has had a very relaxing environment, where one can get a lot of homework done. Even with COVID theyve kept the same vibe, even if inside seating is unavailable. The staff are truly incredible, they are all very knowledgeable about their specialty, and are always happy to help.

No indoor seating, but nice outdoor spaces. A bit expensive for small cups of coffee.

Received nothing but the best here. Its a high-end coffee shop without arrogance. Its also absent of the corporate cafe phoniness, or the hipster grunge of other local shops. Customer service was awesome. All three women behind the counter served me with eye contact, a smile, a thank you, and a have a lovely day. They even brought the to-go order directly out to me while I sat as opposed to plopping it on the counter and bouncing. The place was spotless and theres a ton of space. My Boston Latte, which, to my knowledge, is not served anywhere else in the Milwaukee area, was ready in a timely manner and was the perfect temperature. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and its definitely a high-end take on a greasy fast food item. The arugula and green onions add an extra pop to the savory flavors of the base ingredients while the brioche bun was soaked in butter for that greasy feel. Yes, it was greasy but I knew what the grease was and it was deeeeelicious. I couldnt have asked for anything more from my experience. I will be back and I cant wait to have the same experience.

Praise be to God for providing our City with this location of Stone Creek Coffee. For years I have been wishing for a solid coffee shop with spectacular work space on the East Side and finally my cries have been heard. Fantastic staff! Karen the store manager is one of the nicest people in the city. The coffee is always spot on, the food is delicious, and the environment is perfect for getting some work done! I’ve practically lived here since it opened and I couldn’t be happier that they opened this location.

Perfect coffee, great vibe, friendly service. I love the outdoor seating! As for the menu, it includes interesting, appetizing, delicious, and healthful options. One of my favorites is the Avocado Spicy Egg Sandwich. Im anxious to try the House made Yogurt Bowls. In particular the Lemon, Rose, Pistachio Bowl and the Acai Smoothie Bowl. I should mention that there is also a very nice selection of sweets to go with the coffee such as waffles, pastries, and cookies. Im guessing youll be as pleased with this shop as I am!

DO NOY ORDER THE SMOOTHIE!! It’s made with “smoothie concentrate” a.k.a juice with ice blended together. The breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal. The only reason it gets 4/5 is because the ice juice that cost $5 for a small cup.

Iconic patio.

This is the first location they have that serves food, and it tastes like theyve been doing it all along. Ive been a big fan of their coffee for a while, but now I love their food too! Its by far the best coffee shop food Ive ever had, and honestly its just really good all around. The coffee is always really good as well, I love the Three Volcanoes dark roast and brew it every day at home. Throw in good service and exceptional bakery options, a beautiful cafe and patio, and a walk up to-go window and this is the perfect coffee shop.

This coffee roaster has amazing coffees, baked goods and food. The breakfast sandwich is too-die-for! Friendly staff and lively atmosphere make it my favorite Milwaukee go-to coffee spot.

For a casual coffee shop Stone Creek food is amazing and prices are reasonable. They present the plates as pieces of art and personal always seems happy to help.Definitely my favorite cafe shop.

Very nice atmosphere with a range of seating options inside, outside, or outside under a roof. All the drinks Ive tried have been excellent, and though I havent had any food it all certainly looks good. Its nice to have an alternative to Starbucks on Downer after such a long time.

Coffee was way watered down.

I give the overall design five stars, they need some improvement in the way that the cutlery is presented, so far it has water spots and soap marks. Also heavy Bass music at 5:45 a.m. on a Saturday morning is a little disconcerting.That being said their food is truly beautiful, the preparation is highly artistic, and the space itself is a Wonder to behold.We waited for months for them to open up, and now I have become a regular here. It is my destination spot at 5:30 on any given morning.

Soo much space w/many outlets. Came in during the busiest point of the day and still managed to snag a table. The food is amazing, worth the price. Their iced teas are delicious as well. Friendly staff. Fast service considering amount of customers. Clean. Great atmosphere.

Such a cool space. The interior design is excellent and it is nice because they have indoor and outdoor seating. My only wish is that they had faster service. The line moves pretty slowly here. But, the workers are friendly which outweighs that part if you have time to spare.

The shop really is world class. The decor and atmosphere are comfortable yet handsome, the staff expertly trained, and, most importantly, the coffee absolutely fantastic. Could not reccommend this shop enough, there is no better way to spend a Sunday morning than on their gorgeous patio with a good friend and a delicious coffee.

This location is typical of what you would expect from a local coffee shop. Ive always liked the flavor of the coffees served here and the customer service has always been reasonable. Although it can get pretty slow service wise when theres just a short line. They could use more staff, especially during expected peak times. This location has limited parking and its located in a congested area. They do offer free Wi-Fi, but when Ive used it with more than a couple other people in the seating area it did slow down significantly.
