Finding my email receipt to this boutique just made my week. I give 5 stars to all aspects of this store. People gotta eat and people gotta have clothes; most basic drives in American life.I was hoping to stumble upon this store again as I was brand new to the area a month ago and did not look at the street or anything around too deeply.I’ll be in soon again!

If you look at the reviews about this store, the bad ones are from people who have given them items to sell. We are having the same experience trying to collect our unsold items. They have been telling us since July that they need to go through everything and they will get back to us. Finally in mid- December we received an email that said we needed to pick up our unsold items or they would be donated. When we went to pick them up, they said the email was only “a placeholder,” and we should check back in March!! When we went again two days later, the clerk said she could not find the items anywhere. We have come to the conclusion they are selling people’s very nice items, (thus, the positive reviews), and telling them they were donated because they were not picked up on time. Nice scam if you can get away with it. BTW, the owner, Allison Rozek, is Shorewood Village President!

I sold several designer purses with them in August 2019 and they said I would receive my check in February. After reaching out several times since then, they blamed my lack of payment on COVID which struck Milwaukee in late March. I contacted them a few more times and they said they would have a manager get back to me...that was two weeks ago.Im beginning to think they are straight up stealing from people seeing these other reviews.

Consigned some jewelry. Have not received a check and have not been able to reach anyone about it. I would avoid consigning here.Edit: they did eventually sent me a check, which bounced. Now I have to pay my bank a bounced check fee. Super irritating.I think this place is owned by the Shorewood village president? Yikes.Update on July 12, 2020---I sent an email to these folks the day after receiving the response below. Its been a couple weeks and Ive had no response. I dont think anythings really changed.

Holy cow, so severely overpriced. They have very cute items and some wonderful finds, however, some items are priced more than they were worth with new tags. Ive been to many resale shops and this is the first one I feel is so overly priced, its criminal!

Yes some good bargains on high end apparel. I have purchased several things here over the years. Lighting could stand an upgrade, it is hard to see in there, both on the floor and in a dressing room. Which could explain my recent snafu. I bought a pair of boots, fit perfectly, fair price, only to get them home, put them on again, and discover they had a large tear down one of the seams. Buyer beware I guess. However, if this place wants to be high end and have a good reputation, please dont put shoddy merchandise on the floor in hopes some poor sucker like me will not notice it and buy it anyway. Ill probably shop here again, but itll be a while.

I always find something here.Great selection of designer apparel and accessories. Fair prices. $10 treasures are always a great deal.

Love it has some of everything

My favorite consignment shop in Milwaukee. The selection is very diverse - something for everyones style and price point. But the shop is also clean, well organized, and FUN! They even offer complimentary beverages while you shop. This is a great place to go to find something new for your wardrobe or sell items youve recently cleaned out of your closet!Its also within walking distance of cafes, nail salons, the public library, bars and more. Great afternoon out in Shorewood with friends.

Lightly used High end fashion for AWESOME prices, felt like heaven, definite place for good finds

A 20% off sale was just ran for any person who came in with the I voted sticker. This sale had been advertised for some time as being on every item in store, no restriction. I came to the register with sticker and item and was told via the clerk from Sarah (owner) that the item I selected would be to too cheap if it were marked down. I was shocked as the signs had no restrictions. I asked what I could buy with the discount, and was told to bring things up that I wanted and then they would decide. I was appalled. I have owned small businesses and I know that keeping ones word is its life blood. If I made a mistake in advertising, I would have to eat said mistake or at least try and make good in some way. Not so with Sarah at Swanky Seconds.

I dropped off some Manolo Blahniks a while ago for consignment. They said they would e-mail with information on my credit or if the items did not sell to pick them up. I hadnt heard back after a couple of months so I e-mailed them and tried to call and never got any response. When I e-mailed again they told me they sent an e-mail telling me my items did not sell and I can pick them up or they would be donated. I double checked my e-mail to find that they had not sent me an e-mail stating such. When I asked them to forward the e-mail they allegedly sent to me, they sent me a generic e-mail with no To: address (so it had not been sent to me). When I asked them what they can do about the situation since I dont have any communication from them and they dont have any proof of sending anything to me, and despite all my calls, they have again not responded. This place is a scam, Im guessing they just take your excellent condition high-end items, sell them, and then tell you they were donated without ever letting you know.

Cool stuff but a little pricey for second hand

I came in looking for Lululemon items and the prices are almost more than new Lululemon on clearance. Will never come back!

Excellent prices on high end branded clothes and accessories. Large store with big selection and friendly employees.

This place is a scam, they will talk up how much they can sell an item for, but then lose the item, say it didnt sell, sold at a ridiculously low price. Bottom line, dont expect anything in return if you try to sell your stuff here.

I have reached out multiple times via email and phone regarding a missing check for clothes sold and they continue to ignore me after six weeks of trying to get an answer.
