Just received the usual marvelous service at RedCap reminding me that small, locally owned shops are usually best for items expected to be long lasting. My 10 year old bag bought there and checked in for more than 100 flights to countries, cities, towns will now see many more years following free advice.

When I was in the store and purchased a suitcase, the owner Jo Ann was friendly and helpful, and aggressively sold me on this particular suitcase. The case wasnt in the store yet, but she offered to hold it for me if I paid in advance. I paid for the suitcase, but a couple days later decided it just wasnt the right price point for me and called to let her know I wont be picking up the item and would like a refund.That was on March 13th. A month later the refund hadnt posted to my account, so I gave her a call to ask what was up. I left a message, but she never got back to me. I went to the store in person and she apologized profusely, and I completely understood that sometimes things slip through the cracks. A month later Im still waiting on this refund, and on May 26th something finally posted to my account.I paid around $500 for this suitcase, but only received a refund for $150. This is really starting to frustrate me but again, sometimes things happen and maybe Im just having bad luck with her. I give her another call, shes very understanding, and promises me that within two or three business days Ill have the rest of my refund. Two -weeks- later, on June 11, another partial refund of $151.60 posts to my account.Three months after I requested this refund, Im still owed $200 off this suitcase that I never even took out of the store, and Ive been charged $11 in interest since I cant get this purchase off my credit card balance. This is starting to feel like a scam and Im really losing my patience.If you know what you want, are certain you wont return it, and dont mind fending off really aggressive sales techniques, then this store is fine and has some quality items. My experience has been poor the entire way through, though.

So glad we discovered this place. Good selection and wonderful service. It will be our go-to place here in Milwaukee.
