Awesome service!! Great coffee!! Omg, have you seen the cinnamon rolls...whoa!

Stopped in for lunch. The BLT was incredible! Ill be going back for another when I get the chance.Update: breakfast options are the best! Delicious breakfast sandwiches, HUGE danishes, incredible BACON! Staff is great, very friendly, kind. Local art for sale on the walls. There really isnt a reason not to stop in, unless your being chased by a Tricerahops.

Great humble little coffee shop. Local art on the walls. Fantastic service, really friendly and connected. I ordered an almond milk latte and got an almond chai latte- it was not very good I think there was coffee in it so maybe a dirty chai latte? The coffee tasted burnt. We got a cinnamon roll and banana bread which were both great. Maybe the coffee was having an off day we will go again to see.

Live right nearby and had the best bagel with cream cheese and best iced caramel macchiato. I think I found my favorite coffee place. :)

Excellent and very delicious (though not cheap) croissant breakfast sandwich! Very good coffee, no problem (or extra charge) for to-go, service with a very friendly (and cute) smile. Minus one star for blasting Butt Rock at 9:45am. NOT pleasant.

I always enjoy stopping by on my walk to work work to grab coffee/breakfast. Hands down some of the best coffee and bagels I’ve ever had! Everyone is always super friendly and it’s always super cozy/clean inside. 10/10 would recommend!

I’ve been here a few times, both for coffee and for a quick breakfast. They make wonderful espresso and all their baked treats and breakfast foods are from scratch. I’ve had the biscuits and gravy, and it was perfect. I’ve also had various treats from the pastry case and they have all been fresh and tasty. It’s also very clean, which is nice to see.

One of the best small cafes in the whole state. Fantastic drinks, and unique home-made baked goods. Do not miss the chance if you are in the area. Their Bagel breakfast Sandwiches are AMAZING!

Great food, great staff

Staff and service is always excellent here. The bakery section is absolutely delicious. Never ordered anything that I didnt like here. Last time I was here they accidentally forgot to make one of my drinks. It was really no big deal, when I realized it wasnt coming I just came up and asked for it. Staff was very apologetic and made my drink immediately. The owner handed me a voucher good for a free drink on my next visit due to their mistake. Like I said it was not a big deal and I was not upset at all. After all, we are all only human. But this act of excellent customer service that went above and beyond was amazing and so rare these days. This is how you run a great business! The Painted Lady Cafe is now my favorite coffee spot and I visit here at least twice a week.

It was really good! I had the the biscuit, with an egg on top, with sausage gravy poured over it, and bacon on top. Very tasty. This is a nice little place. The strawberry danish looks fantastic, but I was too full to try it. Would recommend to give this place a try.

Besides the amazing selection of baked goods they have very good coffee. The customer service is always friendly and today she went out of her way to assist me as I wasnt feeling well. This is always a stop I look forward to when I have my appointment on Main St. The atmosphere is comfortable and always relaxing with a artsy touch like many enjoyable cafes in ME Portland. I always look forward to my visit to Painted Lady. Thank you.

We love this shop! Their food (pastries, cookies, quiches...) are SO GOOD, and their coffee is great as well. The place just reeks of bacon in the morning (which is so good) and their decor is very goth/Halloween, which is so fun

Just the BEST! AMAZING pastries, excellent coffees, and oh my goodness their lunches are tasty!!! Get yourselves down there. Milwaukee is doing some street repair that limits parking but its TOTALLY worth walking a block or even two. YUMMMM.

Painted Lady is a one-of-a-kind neighborhood coffee shop. Why? I mean, here in Portland weve got coffee shops everywhere. What makes this one stand out? So many things. Great coffee and tea. Amazing, house-made pastries, desserts, and food. Real food. Not just snacks and sweets. But well-made, hearty and delicious food with high-end ingredients. Thats all true, but even more, Painted Lady is a community of great people. The people who work here obviously enjoy working together. The people who walk in from the neighborhood know each other. When conversation is desired its smart, fun, and engaging. When conversation isnt wanted, its a great place to think, read or write. This isnt your cookie-cutter corporate outlet. Its not a shop trying hard to be something its not. Its just the best.

It comfortable here, but definitely more hip and mature feeling than other coffee shops in the area. I love the art on the walls and the chill vibe in the place. Their breakfasts are off the hook! The food is super yummy and not expensive.

Small, homey and inviting. Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was charming. It is a little cramped, however to some that may lend to the overall environment. Coffee is good, pricing is equitable to the general coffee shop. Food is delicious.

The staff has been friendly every time I have been there. The coffee drinks are reasonably priced and the pastries are exceptionally tasty. Theres so much artwork on the walls youll wish your expresso drink took three times as long to make!

Nice little local coffee shop but inconsistent in both service & coffee quality. Ive had great, quickly made coffee nicely served with great pastry several times but yesterday, the employee with sunglasses on inside burned my latte and took forever to do it. When my guy went in same guy took even longer & his drink was undrinkable. Both were thrown away. I will return but if the same employee is serving, Ill leave without ordering.

09/28/16: 4.5 out of 5 - Ive been here probably once a week to pick up scones for my wife. She loves the scones that Jill makes. Today I picked a half order of biscuits & gravy. Absolutely delicious! These people are great and friendly with everyone.Pre-sales Posts: Usually roll through once (sometimes twice) a week for some scones and latte. Occasionally, Ill pick up an order of biscuits & gravy. The service, the foods, and the personal attention you get in this small place that has me coming back.Definitely worth to try it once and decide for yourself.

I believe that this is the best coffee place in Milwaukie. Naturally the coffee is good but they serve top notch sandwiches, too. Try the breakfast croissant, the one with bacon, egg and cream cheese. And have them top it with avocado. Go ahead. You’ll thank me for sending you.

My chai latte was served in a soup mug which was perfect, the quiche was delicious, and there was a nice selection of fresh fruit with our breakfast. The staff was friendly and the rest of the menu looked so good, I would definitely come back for both breakfast and lunch.

They have the best quiche Ive ever had, and every day they change up the flavors! Their bacon is perfectly peppered, I lovery their coffee, and you have to try their peach flavored, iced black tea! Its a quaint little cafe, with a relaxed, home feel.

Ive never had an unpleasant experience here. So many friendly faces that get to know the locals with delicious sandwiches, quiche, coffee, and baked goods. Also do catering. A hidden gem in Milwaukie.

Food and Beverages are excellent. I’ve been coming here off and on for years and I’ve always had extremely hospitable service as well, I’m courteous when I order and always tip generously, however this is my third time visiting in the past few weeks and every time I’m treated as if I’m an inconvenience to the staff. Greeted with a blank stare instead of a simple hello. Today I ordered some pastries and a sandwich to go and keeping with the recent trend my to go order was tossed on the table without a word and the employee darted away. I’ve worked in the service industry before and I could understand this kind of behavior if they were slammed but my friend and I were two of four customers in the building.

Bagel sandwich to die for. Inside table seating is awk y’all should change that up it could be way more inviting.

Fairly consistent and decent experience here until recently. One of the staff called my elderly neighbor a nihilist while we were in there getting coffee and that was weird because she just said she didnt have a preference for something. Best coffee shop in Milwaukie (probably best in Portland Metro). The brewed coffee is from a small batch roaster and is always fresh and hot. And the baristas know how to make a Cubano, and a perfectly dry cappuccino - if youve only gotten these drinks at Starbucks, you owe it to yourself to get the real thing at Painted Lady.As for the food, the pastries are made by the owner every day. They change all the time and they are always delicious!If you are anywhere near Milwaukie, stop by the Painted Lady - you will not be disappointed.
