Excellent little comic book shop. Staff are great and friendly, and the store features a large variety of genres and interests - always something for everyone! Its quickly become a favorite.

Given five stars, if only the selection hadnt gone down, statues, back issues, back wall of specialty collectors comics. so much within the last 2 years that I havent been there. I went through expecting nostalgia, instead I was a little let down for a change

Bring Tweeterhead and SS 1/4 scale statues back and carry new Hot Toys please! Id buy 2 a month if they are in stock. I love this place. Everyone is chill and knowledgeable about comics, but the Portland one just had that extra sense of wonder that I miss.

I love visiting this place. As a person who came to comics after the first decade of superhero movies...well I didnt know much of anything about the graphic novels. Why I love this place is no matter how stupid my question may be, Im always treated with total respect. The employees seem eager to help me find my next series. I would recommend fish shop to everyone from collectors to those absolutely new.

Helpful staff they have a lot of the new comic books in they dont have a huge backlog section and it in a fun neighborhood

Not only do they have Hot Toys and exclusive comic books, but the employee at this location really looked like he loved his job, which made my experience even better. Don’t waste your time at the other location.

The employees are wonderful to work with but multiple times the system that is used to track peoples subscription boxes has messed up and left me missing comics I ordered many weeks prior. Their system needs to be fixed.

Love the store, very cool and a wide range selection of newer comics available. I left with a poster for $10, will be going back for more :-)

This is a great little comic shop. It is very well laid out, great decor (very modern and simple, which I liked). Its not overly crowded, which I also liked. The worker was attentive not aggressive. The only hiccup for me was the slightly small selection. I like all of the above, but I didnt see any back issues or things like that. But for new subs and orders, it seemed a good location.

My kids and I love this store! The people that work here are so nice and helpful. The comic books are great! The toys are amazing! And all the little blind box kind of toys you can imagine are there. We just went there today for the walking dead day and they GAVE us bandanas, a twd comic book, a pin/button, and a book mark! So cool!

I ordered a figure for the first time from TFAW as they had the figure in stock and the best price. My order was shipped timely and packaged perfectly. One of the best online purchases from a collectibles store. I will be ordering from them again and I highly recommend this store.

Went in to the shop today looking for a few things and just to browse around. Drew was both helpful and knowledgeable about everything I was looking for. We had a wonderful time in the shop and will definitely be back in the future. Very impressed with the costumer service. If I could give Drew 10 stars I would.

Awesome shop. Huge selection on comics, graphic novels, and manga. If they dont already have it in stock they will find you pretty much anything with a reasonable turnaround time. Prefect place to find gifts for pretty much anyone. Tons of figurines and statues, keychains, pins magnets, blind box toys, etc etc. They have daily deals example Fridays they do discounts on magic cards. With an awesome location, and generally friendly and welcoming staff, its worth a look. Guaranteed youll leave with something you had no intention of hahaha

Ive never been to the store, but I have preordered a handful of books from them for highly demanded new releases. One copy I received came in bad shape. I contacted the company, and Kyle replied within a day and had a resolution in place. Not only did they replace the book for free, they paid the shipping cost, and allowed me to retain the beat up copy of the book. Great customer service, great experience, would recommend to anyone!

Super friendly staff. They always help me find just what Im looking for and are amazingly patient with my kids as they spend their Christmas money. Extra bonus is the box discount! (Subscribe to several different comics, they pull them for you so you wont miss anything plus you get the discount!) I absolutely reccomend them.

I had two little kids with me. I walked in with a mask on. The associate working asked if my 7 year old son and 3 year old niece had masks. I asked, is that a store choice. He said no, it’s an Oregon law thing. I said no, 12 and younger are not required to wear masks. He said, oh I don’t remember or know anything about that. He had attitude and was stressed about kids being in the store. We bought about $35.00 of merchandise and the whole time I felt awkward in the store. It’s a really nice store. I would come back, but not if that associate is working. Thanks and hopefully people working in your store need to know the rules that apply to everyone walking into your store, especially in this COVID time!

I love this place but it could just be because I, came here with my friends all the time as a teen. The staff is Awesome theyre super funny and friendly. The people working here know there stuff and they are vary helpfully. They are happy to answer questions you might have to.They sell action figures and comics and other goodes. They dont try and push you in to buy things.One of the staff members was super generous and donated to a raffle we hosted To raise money for my son service dog. We raise the money and got the dog. All because of caring people andstore like this one. This store and its Employees are near and dear to my heart.

The employee working the day my boyfriend and I went was behind the counter harassing customers about wearing a mask and literally cursing at them if the mask slipped below their nose. Wont go back. It made the experience weird and gave the store a bad image considering that was my first impression.

No older comics, just new stuff...very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The stores are poorly lit, poorly laid out, and generally have a tense and uncomfortable vibe to them. Turns out that’s because TFAW was letting the owners brother call black employees “BOY” like it was no big deal while a VP abused subordinates across locations. TFAW’s selection is mediocre and its ethics as a company are more than suspect. Support Dark Horse comics creators but STAY AWAY from these places if you’re a woman, black, or any brand of queer presenting. I’ll revise this if and when there are any changes because there are tons of good comics here, but comics < people and I don’t see any real impetus for change.

A great local shop with amazing employees. If there is a new comic or graphic novel you are looking for, chances are they have it. Each person is bound to have their own experience here, but mine have always been great. I would give the shop 5 stars, but only giving it 4 because they have too much space taken up by Funko Pops and not enough D&D minis or dice to choose from. Again, thats just what I enjoy buying. Either way, I would totally recommend this place to anyone.

Im trying something new for storing fabric that I heard about from a friend where acid-free comic book boards are used to fold fabric around to give your collection uniformity and stability. I called earlier to confirm availability and, when I arrived, the associate remembered my request and was beyond helpful.

As a professional hoarder of Funko Pops, I was very pleased with the hundreds of options with which to mindlessly squander my disposable income. And they have really great people working here too. None of them judged me at all, at least not until after I left.

Great place to go if youre looking for brand new items though depending on the item the pricing can be above retail by a bit. If you collect older items back issue Comics Etc dont expect to find anything like that here. They dont carry anything thats older than maybe a year or so at best.

This large bright store offers a large array of things. Comic books, graphic novels, trade paperbacks, toys, games, collectibles. Theres guides for tabletop and video games. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit... Or two... Or five.

All I can say is that this pace is awesome! If you are a geek like me, or just enjoy comics every once and a while, this place is for you! You have to see their unique collection of statues, action figures and comics. It will blow your mind!

Great comic book shop, full of all kinds of geek paraphernalia. The staff is awesome. Sean, the guy who runs the place, is super sweet, and somehow remembers customers and their interests... hes constantly recommending new books to my tastes. I only relatively recently got into comic books (thanks to the Iron Man movies), and its daunting to enter the world of comics books right now, because there are decades of stuff... its hard to know where to start. Sean recommended a good place to get into it, and now Im like an old pro.Love this place. Its our weekly go-to place for comics and geek stuff, and I have a ridiculous pull-list (comic book subscriptions) because of how much I love this place.

My family and I love going here. Friendly, patient staff, and their subscription service is really cool feature. Always interesting memorabilia to peruse, from gaming to abstract anime to comic icons.

Clean comic book store. Staff is polite and helpful. They have a few board/card games, many Funko Pop figures, high quality hero figures, and more. They have a wide variety of comics and graphic novels. A decent collection of manga.If youre looking for a specific comic I highly recommend checking this place out. If you are looking to get into comics or want to get a series I recommend signing up for a subscription service through them. Theyll order and hold a copy of each issue for you.

Its a good place to find all you need. If they dont have it. They help you and request the things you need.

A little over priced and mostly just new comics.

Staff and the store deliver graphic novels and figurines professionally. Content wise I give Dark Horse and its allies one star. If you want to know what the elite want you to think come here. It is scary to see how readily young people relate to the merchandise. Bottom line, Dark Horse is working hard to create the distopian futures portrayed in its graphic novels.

I use to love this place, they they got one of the worse crews Ive ever seen. I use to drop around 300 dollars or more a month here, not anymore. Half the time they have been unable to answer simple questions about products or upcoming releases, even about titles their parent company makes (that is the crazy part isnt it?). The last few times I got ignored by the staff, 2 times up to 20 minutes while they were BSing with other customers.

Dark Horse Comics lovely little old-school shop. Excellent selection, helpful staff, lots of cool collectibles. I was a regular customer of Pegasus Comics back before there was a Dark Horse, and TFAW carries on the spirit nicely.

Quick story ... So, I dropped off my ballot in the nick of time at the downtown Milwaukie ballot box. Im feeln good... proud to have voted. Im now rolling down Main St. towards home. Hello City Hall; Hello life size Alien & Predator display; Hello Dark Horse Comics. By now my inner geek is turned on 100% (I love my neighborhood). Anyhow, by the time Things From Another World rolls into view, Ive decided to stop. The thing is this - I enjoy the Geekie Tikis, and I had eye-balled - nearly a year ago - Dr. Strange. At the time, I told myself not to splurge, so I quelled my inner fan boy with a 75% off Thor Tiki... not the same, but I swore that Id return!Fast forward to this evening - I head inside, and I ask the clerk, if they have any Marvel Tikis left. The gent behind the counter says that they are sold out.Noooooooooooo!Then he says, Let me check one other spot 🤞 As he walks away, I am already starting to kick myself for having not stopped by sooner - doh!He comes back and says he has one left, and its DOCTOR STRANGE!!! Woot! - Mine! Early birthday gift to myself! 😁🤓And the moral of the story is, good things can happen on election day! 😁Thank you Things From Another World!- Michael
