Staff are all very friendly. The fact the doctor sees me once a year and remembers things we’ve talked about before is cool and shows care. Doc and assistants are amazing and make the appointments great. Only constructive feedback is that every appointment runs late and there’s lot of waiting. I typically have to wait 10 - 15 minutes past scheduled time. The front desk staff are friendly, but they are slow. I can’t recall a time where I didn’t have to wait. So between arriving 10 mins before my appointment to stand in line to check in, then the running late and then another line to check out after, my “appointment” was almost 2 hours long, most spent waiting.

Doctor Bock was so amazing. Fast with the surgery, just super nice and very caring! The staff was just as amazing as well.

EyeHealth Northwest only cares about money. I called and gave my insurance information and was told that my eye exam will be $175.00. That Oregon Health Plan doesnt cover routine eye exams. I explained that I need this exam to get safety glasses for my new job. This didnt matter to them. I asked for my ID and insurance info back, told the front desk staff Thanks for wasting my time. Slammed my planner closed and left. It seems that they only care about charging lots of money for vision exams. Very disappointing.

I have been scheduling my eye exams at the Milwaukie location for many years. I schedule with Dr. Ta for my contact lens exams because she is awesome! Dr. Ta always is relaxed, offers options and explains in detail any questions that I ask. Hey assistant Bobbie and the office staff know their business. Thank you.

I have monocular vision and slightly crossed eyes, which in the past has caused problems getting my prescription right and finding a place to get good service.I had my appointment with Dr Bock, which was a good experience, he is very knowledgeable and has experience with non typical issues like mine. Got my glasses prescription and ordered new lenses. Not only was I impressed with Bock, but also his support staff in glasses fitting area are great. They took the mine to double check all the measurements and compensate for me extra issues. When my glasses came in they were a little blurry in one eye, but they were quickly able to determine it was a problem with the angle of my frames with respect to the axis of my lenses and fixed the problem by making modifications to my frame without scheduling a follow up appointment or charging me for anything.Overall Im very impressed with their service and how able their glasses department techs are. In my 40+ years of wearing glasses and having gone many places these guys are the best.Thanks.

First time I have booked with this company. That process was easy enough but then they expect you call them to set up a file... are we in 1960 again? Mind you when you do call, I was on hold for 12 mins only to be greeted by some rude individual!

Actually I would give Eye Health Northwest and Doctor Bock all the Stars in the sky. Ive been wearing glasses since I was 7 years old but I really didnt know what it was to see clearly until Doctor Bock showed me the way. I can truly see clearly now and I rejoice every day. God Bless you, Doctor Bock. I am 77 years old, seeing the world in a whole new way. Hallelujah!!

I had a 7:30 AM appt on a Friday morning for an eye exam, glanced at my clock as I pulled in - 7:35 (phew, not too late 😅). The receptionist did the usual thing double checking all my info (I had called the business office the day before to verify my insurance and make check in smooth). She takes my copay, I sit down to wait, and then she informs me that the doc decided I violated his “10 minutes late” policy and I would need to reschedule. She claims I arrived at 7:40 (yeah, she knew it was BS too) and I’d need to go home and find another time. Uhh, yeah, I’ll be doing that elsewhere, thanks…

Staff in both Milwaukie and Oregon City offices were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Dr Bock answered all my questions, was caring and surgery went smoothly and well. Have already recommended him to several friends for their cataract needs.

They treated me so kindly... like they actually cared. I had a million questions and they happily answered everyone. I am 4 days post op from lasik! And I can see better then I could with glasses!

I was extremely pleased. You could tell that they cared. Everyone was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable. The Dr prescribed what I needed for my dry eyes. In one day it was a great improvement. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Someone tried to jam a rather large metal rod into my eye socket but thankfully, I know karate and was able to ward off the attacker.

My insurance is care Oregon, through Medicaid.After having cataract surgery in both eyes the doctor said to go to the counter to get a pair of prescription glasses. When I got to the counter I was told that my insurance would not cover lenses and was out of luck and to come back when I could pay for the lenses for my new prescription eye glasses. This was over two years ago and I have had to go without prescription eye glasses because I have been unemployed with zero income since before my eye surgeries.Well I went back to have a diabetic eye exam, the doctor again told me to go to the counter to order a pair of prescription glasses. I explained what happened two years ago and he said they would somehow get glasses for me. When I went to the counter to order prescription glasses this time, I was told that I was given wrong information and should have been able to get my glasses at that time. Unfortunately I was told that my benefit to receive my new glasses had expired after one year from my surgery date. Also the don’t know why I would have been told I’d have to pay out of pocket for the lenses after the surgery.Currently they are still attempting to get to the bottom of this with the insurance company to see if anything can be done however the process could take a few months to get an answer for sure.While I am grateful that they are trying to do their best at this time, I am amazed that I was sent walking over the cost of a pair a lenses while the insurance covered thousands of dollars for two eye surgeries.Other than the miss information when needed most, my experience with the staff and doctor was exceptional.When it comes to health care the patient is at the mercy of the representative at the counter and can only go by what they are told.

Super friendly office! I love Dr Ta - she always takes her time checking in with me - she’s great about brainstorming about what will work best for my wonky issues.AND.... the exam process is streamlined and quick. Bonus points for not using the “puff” test anymore!! 👍🏼🤓😎

While inside the location the service is superb, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The end product is of high quality as well. The main issue is once you leave they never answer their phones (at least the optical/contact departments) and this isnt an isolated incident 3 of my coworkers have gotten their glasses/contacts here and all have had the same complaint. So its upto you if you think its worth your time to show up just to ask a simple question.

The Dr. Was great! Staff were very business like.

Only problem was it took what SEEMED like forever while my eyes dilated and someone should have come in to let me know how much time it would be until the doctor came in. Just a small point hopefully this will help new patients. The Ophthalmologist did an excellent job. The new glasses fit fine and were a good choice for frames, very light and look good. The optician was excellent.

I have the eye cataract surgery for both eyes done by Dr .Bock, J Charles, he is a great eye doctor. Disregarding I am 71 years old now, I can see the things like when I was 30 years old again. His follow ups are excellent, I highly recommend him to any patients who has eye problems.You can trust him!Larry Yip

Great place! I take my two kids here 6 and 10. They are so good with kids. My six year old daughter just had her first eye exam which can be scary. They made it fun and inviting. Both my kids love going to the eye doctor.

I wanted to call to get a same day appointment . It was 5:20 pm and I get the answering service that can’t even tell me the phone number or the hours of the Milwaukie location. I drove 80 mph to get there before they close and the doors are locked. Super frustrating. I just wanted someone to look at my eye and tell me it will be ok.

I have had really bad experiences every time Ive gone here. The doctor I work with seems to work with an unknown arrogance and the place itself holds and uncomfortable energy for me. Would not return....ever 😌

My glasses were not the correct prescription when they first returned from the lab. Terri thought the astigmatism correction was the problem and she was correct. I got three new pairs of glasses: readers, distance only and progressives. Terri adjusted them to my face for maximum acuity. I think Terri is just the best! I hope she never leaves.

Ive been using EyeHealth Northwest for several years now and Im very happy with the care and professionalism of the staff. Ive had cataract surgery and, recently, minor laser surgery. I also have an annual exam of course. They have always been thorough in explaining things, friendly, and courteous. More important, I feel confident my precious eyes are getting the best of care. I had absolute faith in Dr. Stromberg. Now that hes retired, Im happy to say the same thing about Dr. Weber.

BEWARE!!! a month after paying for and getting glasses, a bill came in the mail wanting MORE $$$$. Statement states $585 in charges, $603 in payments/adjustments. They still want $16 more. In 30 years of buying glasses I have never, ever been charged more than I was billed at the time of ordering & paying for my glasses. BEWARE!!!!

My frames had broken - and they fixed them, HOWEVER, after a while I realized I had to constantly be holding them up with one hand in order to keep the vision clear - I went back and this last visit your employee was gracious - no excuses - said they simply had not been repaired correctly and there was a BIG difference - rather than have me get new frames she QUICKLY refixed them and they were PERFECT. She was gracious, efficient and OBVIOUSLY knows her job. Thank you.

My new prescription glasses fit perfectly. They are very comfortable even after hours of reading or computer work. I have been a customer of EyeHealth Northwest for almost 20 years, and would recommend them for eye care and glasses.

Had a pair of glasses the were fairly new, but the prescription was off. They changed out the lenses for me faster than expected. All friendly staff, highly recommended.

When I had a new insurance, I talked to the front office and was told I would only need to pay a copay and I would owe nothing else.Guess what - 3 months later they send me a bill. They were incredibly dismissive when I talked to them on the phone and told me to be an informed customer. I was - my only mistake was to trust the person at the front desk. Apparently, asking your own eye dr about pricing is not enough.The billing department was rude, and was not willing work with me. As a result, they lost two customers.I find their attitude to be rude and dishonest.

Love my doctor but costumer service via the phone is horrible. Waited two days for someone to return my call and then when I tried to call back their voice mail box was full.

My friend accidentally crushed my glasses and I brought them the EyeHealth Northwest to see if they could be resurrected. No luck there, but they replaced them with identical frames on the spot. Just a modest copay! Wow!!

Didnt have a long wait. Everyone polite. All questions answered. Only gripe is the narrow parking spots by the street and people dont always park straight.

I can’t say enough good about Eyehealth northwest. Dr. Weber and his staff are just awesome, and they have enough locations that it is convenient to get to any of them. I just had cataract surgery and I keep telling anyone that needs cataract surgery not to put it off and to go to Eyehealth Northwest.

Just had both eyes Cataract surgery, with stents inserted in both eyes to enhance drainage. The care and performance of everyone at EyeHealth has been exceptional; I would recommend them to anyone who is having problems with their vision. I was especially impressed with their scheduling system which included thorough paperwork, email notifications, and even text messages. Of course, everyones friendly courtesy was quite noticeable!

Closest place that took my insurance. Watch out for the 2nd BILL after you pay the amount told glasses will cost. Seems like a bait and switch situation!! Never going back, urge you not to use them. I will drive further next time. The eye doctors were good. *UPDATE* Talked with billing dept twice (I insisted the problem was related to the mis-priced frames). They insisted I owed more $$. After being threatened with being sent to collections, I requested they send me more detailed info about my bill (originally only had partial info). It only took me a minute to notice they over billed the insurance company (the amount of the credit for mis-priced frames). I told their billing dept twice there was an issue with frame price and they insisted I was credited properly. DECEPTIVE billing practices!!!! Dont trust them. I took them their paperwork and proved them wrong!

I went in on a snow day and was the first client at 1040. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I got in before I even finished my paperwork (snow day bennies!) And the assistant and doctor were so knowledgeable and helpful. They dilated my eyes and were able to give me a proper rx for the first time ever! I didnt end up buying my glasses here but pro tip of you have old pairs you dont need you can take them there and they will donate them to the lions sight foundation. Awesome for me since I was thinking of making the trek downtown to drop of my 5 old pairs!

Lovely group of ladies were more than delighted to help adjust my frames. I couldnt be happier now that my head isnt being squished.

Cant give negative stars. First, made an appointment took over 3 months to get daughters glasses. Second, the perception was wrong. Third, they want me to pay for another eye exam and perception like it was our fault. Last, I agreed to pay for eye exam with my insurance company $48 and I was charged $96. Horrible service between me and my insurance company we have paid over $600 for glasses, my daughter is still waiting for.

This was probably the worst experience I have ever had with medical professionals. I took my 4 year old in after he had an abnormal eye screening at his well child check. It was clear they were super busy and had no patience for my questions. There was one lady at the front desk that was nice, and the woman that helps you pick out frames was really nice. Everyone else either hates their job or just hates people. They couldnt get us out of there fast enough. The worst part is they dilated his eyes and only told me he might be sleepy. Ive never had my eyes dilated before so I didnt know he needed sunglasses or eye protection. Poor kid, he was miserable and I felt terrible for not asking more questions. We got out of there and will never be back. I took him to Myoptic in Sellwood and I am so glad I did!

I had LASIK surgery done with Dr. Grealish and had a wonderful experience with him and his staff. They were very informative and ensured that all the questions/concerns Id had were answered, which allowed me to feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I had been talking about getting LASIK for a few years but finally decided to have the surgery when I moved to Portland from Illinois. Although I regret waiting this long to have the surgery, I am glad I did because it allowed me to have the surgery with Dr. Grealishs team. My vision went from Velma from Scooby Doo to perfect. I highly recommend EyeHealth Northwest.

Every time I order contacts for my son, something goes wrong and it takes a couple weeks for him to get them. Also very hard to get return calls from the contact department even after leaving multiple messages. They have a horrible vendor for contacts. I will be switching my family (4 of us) to a different optical provider.

Ive been trying to order more contacts since last week and they never answer their phone or call back.
