This is one of my favorites places to get a sweet treat. I usually get a hard shell waffle with the egg custard and strawberry. I wish they had more locations!! Show this place some love because they work hard and it shows:)However, the last two times I went, the worker was a bit rude. The shop closes at 9pm. I arrived at 8:50 to make my order (I would’ve done it sooner but the online orders close at 8:30). The girl in the front interrupted me while I was ordering 4 waffles and said “Just to let you know we close at 9” (She said this the last time I went too which was probably around 8:45ish). I thought that was weird because I clearly know what time they close. That’s why I came before 9. She then proceeded to tidy the store aggressively and go the phone while the other worker made all of my waffles herself.I love this place and would 100% still go back. I just didn’t appreciate the service twice in a row. It felt unwelcoming even though I didn’t even go to the store that close to closing time.

This place has a crepe like waffle it is my favorite thing you can have sweet or savory fillers. I personally love the ham and cheese one. They also have an option for a crunchy waffle also. This place is such a hole in the wall in Mineola. The parking is a little hard by the area but its worth it.

I love it! The waffles are amazing, the staff was very welcoming and kind today this morning, like always. Service is great here. Highly suggested.Only critique I would add is that the waffles are way overpriced. At least twice the price they should be.

Honestly one of the tastiest deserts Ive ever had. My girlfriend and shared the smores on a soft crepe, and we were obsessed. Warm, gooey, delicious.

These are absolutely delicious! The shop is very small (but adorable)! I make a point to go here when I’m visiting Long Island because it’s THAT good! Parking can be a bit of a pain but it’s worth it! I can’t even tell you which waffle to get because I love the soft and hard ones equally!

Me and my wife recently attended this shop and we absolutely adored it. We arrived around 4pm yesterday, 5 hours before closing, and the young lady at the front was extremely courtious and helpful, made our crepes with a smile and helped us have an exellent all round experince. We asked for her name so we could include her on this review, but she declined as she said I dont deserve praise for doing my job. Would happily go again.

Found this tiny coffee shop/ waffle stand at my friends suggestion and it was delicious.The crispy waffle had Portuguese tart and the soft had their special which was jam and goat cheese. Both were delicious.The soft version is super filling. So if youre looking for a nice snack with your coffee I might suggest the crispy version instead.Absolutely delicious. I will be back.

Always warm tasty waffles, I have been working in the area since it opened and I love the waffles, but today I bought 4 they were not warm, crunchy, and it hardly had Nutella and fruits. I waited 45 minutes for them. Very disappointed for the first time.

OMG! This is an amazing waffle. You seriously have to go. Freshly pressed with fruit and other fun dressings. Even plain it is simply an amazing waffle. I found this by accident when I was in the area and have made special trips to go there. I love how it gets soft and chewy as you get to the bottom. My daughter raves about the Iced Matcha Latte. Its totally a moody thing on what to get. I have had lunch with the ham and cheese and dessert with the Nutella, a cookie butter, and even fruits. If youre nearby, just go. As for social distancing, they are doing it right and wearing masks and gloves while they prepare the food. - Kudos!

This cafe is very small and cute. The entire decor is baby blue decorated with mementos that remind you of Portugal and sailing. They have an interesting menu including of coffee and pastries. I got the nutella latte, which was not that sweet and a pride crispy waffle. It has fruity pebbles, marshmallows, bananas, and strawberries. The place was lovely, I wish I was able to use my reusable cup. Other than that, it was a nice experience.

Waffle is okay but they keep old espresso in a bottle and just pour water for Americano. It is ridiculous. No taste at all

Little walk-in spot near winthrop hospital. Very rich desserts. Best part of these waffle crepes are the waffle crepes themselves regardless of filling. You get a large portion and very hot, so youve been warned. But these snacks are good. I had the smores filling. It was very good, but sometimes it was too much filling...could of done with less. Will come back when Im in the area to try other fillings.

I love Costa Nova, I stop by here almost daily. The staff are friendly, get to know you, and always ready to make a delicious drink or waffle.The one thing Id like to see is more options of savory waffles. Theyve perfect the sweet waffles and Id like to see them diversify!

I love this place. I go there every week. I prefer the crispy waffles because they are delicious. I like that they have multiple options and add on. I definitely recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth. The staffs are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is very comfy, like a warm little hug.

If your looking for dessert that isnt too sweet and packs flavor you should eat here. You must try the Ovos moles with the soft waffle.

If your mouth is tingling for a sweet something thats out the box and down the street from regular this is it. Its a matter of preference between the soft or crispy waffle filled smorgasbord of goodness. But its goodness. If you like tea and coffee, iced or hot, its another reason to stop in and escape through a sweet reality. Happy Eats.

Love, love, love this little gem. I always the the crispy waffle with the custard. My husband got the peanut butter and jelly one this time. TAlso had cappuccinos, and they were delicious. Costa Nova is always on point.

Great coffee, and amazing waffles. Place is small and well decorated with Portuguese-style paintings and furniture, good for getting food and eating on the go. Service was excellent.

You would think that an establishment that needs to do a gofundme would take the time to treat the customers they are getting RIGHT. Between the hole at the bottom of my waffle that let all the filling spill all over the bottom of the bag and the 3/4 full latte it just leaves much to the imagination and I definitely don’t see this place recovering.

Costa Nova is tiny but lovable. The people working there are super friendly and very helpful and happy to answer questions. It has a cute atmosphere. I got a soft nutella waffle and iced caramel macchiato and both were so delicious!

Love this place!!Their waffle is a thin, crepe like waffle that can be rolled into a soft, sweet, delicious burrito or into a crunchy folded triangle either are with choice of added fruits, candy, Nutella, custard etc.The coffee is strong and smooth.They have a nice variety of teas as well.Highly recommend.

Very small place, with about 5-6 chairs to sit inside. I had the soft waffle with Nutella and banana, and it was fantastic. Probably best eaten with a knife and fork since it can get soggy and messy after awhile (it comes piping hot).

This place is a hole in the wall, but dont be fooled by the small size of the shop. The waffles are delicious (had the Nutella with bananas/strawberries) and the coffee was pretty good. Its a small store and can get packed with like 8 people in the store! In any case the waffles were on point and hit the spot.

They offer a very different kind of waffle, thin big ones. I love those. They have two types: crispy and soft. I generally prefer the soft ones. They are yummy, and then they come with great fillings. My personal favorites are (a) chocolates with banana and (2) Nutella. Their special ovos moles is good too.

A little hole in the wall type shop. Unbelievably good waffle dishes, perfect for desert after a meal nearby. It can get messy to eat, so make sure you are outside or have a plastic bag near your feet!

The best snack after an LIRR ride. Costa Nova is right by the mineola LIRR station (walking distance) and they have great waffles (soft or hard). I prefer the hard waffles with Nutella strawberries and bananas coated with cinnamon and powdered sugar. They also have little bottled drinks imported from Portugal which taste amazing.
