They were available for an appointment at short notice. They looked at the tire that needed work and found several nails (not surprising due to re-roofing in our area). They were well informed about options for replacing tires on an all-wheel-drive vehicle.

I needed a secondary aftermarket alternator installed on my Ford Transit Cargo Van that will charge a house battery station. The team at Youngsteds in Minnetonka were the only group I found in the twin cities area that would even take a look at the install process. They ended up having it done the same day I brought it in and did an excellent job. I can’t thank them enough.

While traveling to visit family in Monticello MN my low tire indicator came on. Being just the girls on this trip I was nervous that we had a problem and we still had to travel over 6 hours home. I pulled off the highway and came upon your location at 14950 HWY 7 W. They quickly checked the tires, asked for details to help diagnose the problem and got me on my way. I was able to travel the rest of the way without issue.As this is trip we will make multiple times I cannot tell you how comforting it is to know there are friendly and helpful people on my travels.Thank you!

I had a nail in my tire. Called ahead and asked how long the wait would be- they said 15-30 so I went ahead and made an appointment and told them I’d wait. When I got there, they changed it to 45 minutes. I ended up waiting for 1.5 hours. Looked like they got a request for a full tire change from another customer, so my $30 service took the back seat even though I had an appointment. No acknowledgment of how long I had waited. Otherwise, they did a good job patching my tire and the price was right. Will probably go somewhere else though next time I need service.

I bought tires from Youngstedts and am happy with their service. However customers should beware they may attempt to sell you repairs you do not need. I had tires rotated and as I picked up the vehicle I was handed an estimate for replacing the power steering rack etc. I was told it was gushing fluid and needed to be replaced. When I questioned this I was told there was evidence of a leak under the rack. I had a scheduled appointment with Luther Honda to replace the timing belt and asked them to check the steering rack. I was told that although one seal had a tiny leak they did not recommend spending in excess of $1,400 for an unneeded repair. I understand businesses need to sell services but beware Youngstedts seems to have a practice, at least with me, of recommending unneeded repairs.

Went in for an oil change and purchased a Multi Pack of oil changes that seemed to be pretty good deal to pre-pay for future services. I knew that I would need to pay for an additional quart of oil that my vehicle requires (and many vehicles need) however I did not realize that above and beyond the initial investment of the multi-pack, I would be charged $17 (total bill) for one quart of oil each time!

Youngstedt’s has always treated me well and respected my military service. I am a retired US Army veteran and got an oil change the other day at the Minnetonka location. They gave me a great deal on my tire rotation when they noticed my US Army Retired face mask. I hadn’t even asked for a discount and they offered one. It felt so nice to be recognized. I have an older Ford Escape. They did a great job with my brake service recently, as well as other routine work (oil, fluids, lights, etc). I am happy a out the top notch work, as well as friendly and professional customer service. They have been both thorough and prompt, reasonable and worth every penny. Glad to know theres a garage nearby I can count on.

Top notch business. They are fair, honest and accountable. I had an issue with work performed by them that a dealer said caused an issue with my vehicle. I wanted to try a new auto repair shop and after many years went to Youngstedts. The diagnosis seemed correct with what I thought was wrong. The price was lowered some but was still $1,000 for struts and alignment from about $1500 originally. After getting the receipt, I found I could have ordered the exact same struts at Amazon for $500 less with free shipping. I wish I could have done more price checking and shopping around before I had the repair done. I dont mind helping a local business but I think I helped too much by overpaying for parts.

Top notch shopScheduled my Jeep for an Oil Change, tire balance and Rotation and had them check the brakes. The vehicle only has 43,000 miles on it. just broken in however the vibration and the play in the Brakes i was getting lead me to believe a brake job was needed. They inspected and test drove the vehicle and came back with a solid recommendation. My point: it is nice these days to get the Truth from your mechanic. Many other shops diagnosed over the phone and told me to get a Brake job ASAP.Youngstead asked the questions about how I drive and braking habits etc.. Results, I do not need to repair at this time as plenty of life left.

Brought my 2003 Santa Fe in for an oil change....Corey Hanson pointed out my engine cradle was badly rusted which I knew but was kind of ignoring, He suggested a used replacement for a reasonable price ( I had checked with a dealer and was basically brushed off) so I decided to go ahead with the repairs. Heres where it gets special...Corey checked with the same dealer and advised me to go back because he believed it should be under warranty. And it was!!! Saved me a ton of dough and restored my faith in customer service....they lost a chunk of money short term but you can be sure I will be a customer for life. Corey Hanson is a rockstar!!!

Unreal, these guys are impossible to work with. They are less than a mile from my home so Ive tried twice to give them my business. Both times theyve refused to touch any of my engines components because theyre afraid Ive blown my engine. Sorry guys but youre supposed to mechanics not lawyers. Way to miss out on potential repeat business.

On my first visit I brought a wheel into the shop to have a flat repaired before closing. The guy at the counter was positive and enthusiastic and the employees amiable. They found a very small nail puncture and said they would have it ready the next morning. Now, an honest place would give you an estimate before you committed to having the work done - you shouldnt have to even ask - and I didnt. Next day I drove in with the spare on my car and I had them mount the wheel. The guy at the counter this time was apathetic and made me wait a little bit before acknowledging me without giving me his full attention. I handed him my keys. My wait was about 15 minutes. The bill was $27 for a repair, balance and remount. This was more than I expected, but after having this same job done at Les Shwab in Oregon for free, maybe Im spoiled but their normal charge was $12. I had to get to work so I didnt look at the wheel, but later noticed that the mag was filthy. A once over with a rag would have made all the difference. Next time Ill shop around.

My windshield broke on the highway at 2 am so I found this Good Year and parked my car in the back of their lot. They were obviously closed so I got a ride home and came back the next day. They had already towed my car and offered the explanation that we werent sure what it was doing here and didnt know if it was involved in a crime. The windshield was completely smashed and they didnt know why it was there...I have disliked this place for years and will NEVER GO BACK. They are awful. Ask a 5th grader to fix your car and youll have better luck. TERRIBLE!

Went in for a tire valve replacement, was told it could cost $170 to replace if they broke the cap off, which he said was most likely to happen. Luckily they were able to get half of it off where I could still put air in the tire and only charged me $14, so that was good.

The Minnetonka store treated me like a king! I had a balance issue with a tire, that caused my truck to shake. Even though they were busy, the took the time to add a weight to remedy the issue. Thank you!!!

I took my truck in for brakes last week and it went great. I would recommend them and I plan on using them again.

Horrible Service. Asked a guy if you could take a quick look at my car to see if I should drive it or not broke Down). He was very rude and said he didnt have time. Meanwhile 2 guys were outside smoking cigarettes. Understand he was busy but his professionalism wasnt impressive. I use to take my cars to there locations. NO LONGER will do so.

There were some aspects of great service:+ The oil change & tire service took only about an hour+ Making an appointment was easy and friendlyI came in with a need for an oil change and issues with my vehicle. My steering wheel had been shaking. The gentleman said it sounded like it was something with my tires.When I called the following day that the issue was persisting he said it was probably my breaks. I shared my frustration that the previous day he said it was my tires and therefor I paid for servicing on my tires. He remained steadfast without apology that he did that service because of what I had told him. I know nothing about cars, so I dont doubt it could have been easier on everyone had I know better what to say.However Youngstedts customer service on my follow up call is why I will not be returning & provided a lower rating.

I went in for an alignment a while back and they gave me a run around about how they had trouble unbolting a outer tie rod end that had LESS then 500 miles on it and under 1 year of use; forcing me to pay extra, or walk away with a misaligned car for $90, since I was already hooked up to the alignment machine. Said they needed to remove the whole tie rod and put it in a vice.I then inspected the inner tie rod boot after the service and it was obvious that it had NOT been removed, the boot is held in place by OEM ear crimp clamp and it had not been touched (was still the same old clamp)! Car is a summer driver with no rust either. What a joke.... I am a road racing driver and get alignments many times a year and have never had any run around from any other shop. I wish I hawk-eyed the whole procedure (my fault).Since this incident about a year ago Ive taken my cars elsewhere (at least 6 alignments). Way to miss out on a repeat customer $$$!

On a phone they quoted one price. Too bad I didnt confirm the price when I brought the car in. When I came to pick it up they charged me twice the amount of the quote. The job was just OK.
