I love Menards! They almost always have what I need in stock or can order it. I have the same amount of credit there as at other home improvement stores, but when I shop at Menards and use my credit card, they keep a record of all of my expenditures, and I automatically get a certificate for store credit in the mail every quarter for a percentage of my total purchases as my reward for being a customer! Lastly, Menards staff members are so friendly and willing to help, and advise me on home improvement DIY projects, especially those in hardware and plumbing!

Training in the building materials is a must! I went in for vinyl siding and received plastic corners for sheet rock. Checkout was 1 lane and 6 deep

Bought a hot water heater back in Thanksgiving in 2020. Now in May 2021 pilot lite will not stay lit. Menards charged $30 dollars for overbite shipping. 3 days later parts are not here. . I shouldnt have had to pay anything. Hot water heater has a warranty. Not a fan of menards store in Minot.

The dudes working the paint desk are awesome...i never catch his name.but the younger guy with the tattoos is always up beat, is fast... and makes sure you are satisfied. Menards is always clean, tons of folks working to help you out, and its ALWAYS busy. Great place

They discriminate against people with breathing problems. I for one have asthma and Im not supposed to wear a face mask yet they told me I had to. Thats even according to the cdc, yet Menards doesnt care about my health they care more for peoples feelings.

Matt in the lighting department, was a great multitasker, helping 2 customers interchangeably with out neglecting either person. He took time to open the box, show me features, and look up my questions when he didnt know the answer. He even showed me more than one option,, with a lesser cost.When I left his department to make my purchase, I felt confident in my decision.Thank you, Matt, for making my experience one where I felt able to conquer a daunting task. Had a specific washer I was looking. Looked at other retailers and no one has anything on hand because of Covid. Menards had the exact washer I wanted on hand. Thanks Menards!Update to previous review literally the same day:Used the washer and it couldnt handle a blanket and a few clothes. It kept asking to redistribute the weight in the basket. After trying three times finally gave up and tried to do a drain and spin cycle. It would not drain properly and was leaking!!! So I put soaking clothes in the dryer. I suppose I better head to Minot, ND Menards at 630am on a Sunday since they open at 8am. I guess spending $1,200 on a washer isnt good enough (75 miles from me). 😠

We special ordered 2-10×9 overhead garage doors from Menards. They were 10 days past their delivery date when we finally received them. We finally got to start installing them and ran into a bunch of problems. First off, we received 8 struts for a 10 door, then the rail ended up 12 high instead of 9. So many mistakes it took 9 hours to install 1 door. Very very disappointed.

Harassed for not being medically able to wear a mask. I took my business elsewhere. Somewhere I can maintain my dignity and respect.

The only issue I have is that it took 4 tries and 20 minutes for a person to answer the phone when I called.

Building materials is in the farthest corner of the store from the front door and this is where you go to get slip for items not in the store.

I had spent a small amount of money on some hose splitters and connectors thinking that I would not use them much and so didnt need quality stuff. Wrong again! You get what you pay for. So I went to Menards hoping they would have some quality splitters and connectors. I saw my old stuff and some brass fittings. The brass were exactly what I needed. They will not break and I wont have to worry about these pieces ever again. Menards comes through with whatever it is you need for your home.

Staff were very helpful today but thats not an every time thing. Thank you to the older gentle man that assisted an the young man that helped also.

I was walking in with my 3 kids, carrying the youngest to put in a cart. Before I could even get the the cart I was aggressively approached because I hadnt had a chance to put on my facemask as I was juggling children, and had forgotten outside. They wouldnt let me walk to a cart to put my child down in order to get my mask out of my pocket. Then, they followed me around the store and yelled at me, yes raised their voices at me when I pulled it down to drink from my water bottle.

The girls at the ck out were great i lost my receipt for 256 dollars and they figured out how to print out a new one they both went way beyond the mile to help me the folks working in the paint department of the store were excellent to they loaded up those two 5 gallon buckets for me thank you so much

Horrible customer service. As soon as I walked in the door the front end manager Leon made a rude comment to me and the kid I was with. This is not the first time he has been this way though he is always rude. But apparently Menards is the only place in town where you can’t bring kids under 16 or dogs due to the COVID-19 scare. I should go back with my service animal and see if they allow her to enter. To bad I’m completely done with this store this was the last time I will be treated this way by Menards associates. I’ll take my business to Home Depot. They will allow kids under 16 and they also give a military discount. They are always super friendly when you shop there and extremely helpful.

What a terrible shopping experience. I went to get a few things from Menards garden center. There were no employees anywhere inside. There were at least 10 guys zipping around on forklifts. Never did any of them look around or behind them as 2 almost ran into my truck. Since no one was there to help I went up front got a pick and pack slip and was told to drive around back to the guard tower and he told me to go to pick up who told me to go to the garden center. Ended up where I started... with no one around in the Garden Center. After 30 minutes of trying to get the attention of the guys zipping around I got lucky when 1 had to stop to pick something up next to where I was standing and I was able to holler loud enough to get his attention. He loaded my 3 small bags of dirt into my truck and I was on my way. (Shoulder replacement kept me from doing it myself.) What should have been a 15 minute trip took 45 minutes. I will never go there again. It was a horrible experience all around because of poor customer relations for which there is no excuse.

Its Menards, if you want help with something good luck finding a worker that does not try to avoid customers at all costs!

I went to shop at my local Menards with my grandkids, they are not allowed in the store because they arent 16 or older. Governor Burgum opened the state yet you have all these rules. If you cant fully open up then you wont get my business ever!!!

One of the better home improvement stores in the area. They usually have on hand what you need. Does not have a massive appliance showroom area though. however all of the extra things that the store sells like pet food and canning supplies and other random things makes up for it I guess. The frequent 11% rebate sales that happen are also great. They also have a wonderful selection of holiday decorations during the holiday seasons.

Worst experience so far.Was unaware of the new rules of no children under 16 allowed into menards. Was told rudely while shopping near the lighting section about the new rules. So my wife took the kids and on there way out she was yelled at by customer service counter some 25 feet away loudly and had everybody looking at them. If you guys are so worried about kids coming into you establishment maybe have an employee at the entrance of the store! Lost our buisness!

One star for customer service. Very frustrating getting good help and information. Workers made it seem I was inconveniencing them about a barn door. Besides that if you know what you need and know where its at, its a great store.

Struggled with outdoor lighting section. Display models galore, many with special pricing discounts, but very little stock of product. Each of 4 models I considered buying had nothing on the shelf to buy.

Ive been going to this store for like my whole life and got turned away because I didnt have my ID on me today. The employee was rude about it when I said I just have my debit card on me. Dont just tell me to bring it next time or something thanks menards

The Minot Store would not let my 14 year old Granddaughter come in with me. We were going in for her to show me this brand of shock collar she saw at a friends. We turned around. No other stores in Minot refused us entry. Today was the day they were supposed to be loosening restrictions. Extremely irritated with your store over this! Were going to home depot. 🖕🏻

Menards is one of my go to places for the odd bits and pieces I need to fix stuff. They also have some cool food deals. In addition to home I pick up tools for work. They are good tools, and not so expensive that I have to worry about them being in an unlocked tool box.

If you get the chance to make a delivery to this store, you will be pleasantly surprised by the gracious attentiveness that the employees give. Very courteous and easy going, a truly wonderful place to be. Only word of caution, they only take shipments between 6am and 9pm. My particular order requested that I deliver between 10pm and 6am, so I enjoyed a beautiful snow fall and a nap while I waited for 7 hours. All in all, if I wasnt making a delivery, I would definitely shop there just for the great service.

On more than 3 occasions their inventory has been incorrect and the item I traveled to the store to purchase has not been in stock after ordering online or checking online for pickup. Very frustrating and wastes the day’s planned projects when I now have to wait for a special order.

Very poor customer service

Wow I just cant handle this palce anymore. They care way more about selling canned meats and frozen ribs then hardware. Just spent 20 minutes wandering around looking for help, but instead found 2 people from plumbing who were more worried about telling each other stories then finding men some help. They need to re evaluate.

I went in with a color chip from a brand you dont carry and from another large hardware store that I really dont care for. She matched it to perfection Shes very knowledgeable!
