Everything went smooth!! I worked with Morgana on this claim. Dropped my truck off and they kept me informed! On the final day I was able to leave the rental at Gates and get my truck with no issues.

I had my breaks go out in my truck due to a recall that needed to be performed. When speaking with another dealership they told me 3 weeks until they could take care of me. I then spoke with Michelle at Gates and she understood the immediate need of having my truck repaired. She promptly got me in the very next morning and had the recall performed. Not only did she do that but when I asked her about another recall that was open on my truck she informed me that she had already had it performed since it was in the shop. Overall amazing service.
Gates Chevy in South Bend was great. Amazingly they were able to get us a new car. The 2022 Trailblazer is fun and gets really good gas mileageOur salesmans Damon was great. Ask for him. He kept us informed during the process and did a great job going over everything

Excellent!! We were originally confused and unhappy with trying to purchase. However when they called we let them know. They had us come back. Treated us respectfully and kind. Apologetic, and after a few hours we got EXACTLY EVERYTHING we were looking for. Couldnt be happier, thank you. They also handled our trade easily. I hear horror stories of them dragging payoff and messing up credit. Nope. My trade was paid off beautiful. My new car payment was exactly what and when we agreed. No issues. Really easy process. He was impressed that by the time I dropped him off at work an hour & half later Gates called Sam and told him his car was ready. Best car buying experience ever! From start to finish. Austin was so great to work with. From our casual initial drive by through the final steps of the purchase. Somehow Austin was able to convey that this car was going to go fast, without pressure, ensuring that I was able to purchase the car if its what I really wanted. All of the employees are friendly and professional and John Janiak (service consultant) is the greatest! He went above and beyond to help me while I was in the nearby area for a family emergency and needed service for my Cadillac. The service department worked with me to figure out the problem, got a part and did repairs (cost was great) in my stressful situation. Gates Chevy is the best, dont go anywhere else you wont be disappointed.
Glen was our sales person and he was AMAZING. Very knowledgeable and friendly, but knew when to step back from sales and be a person. Service department is great, always gets us in and out with prefect work being done at a fair price. Great communication and follow through. The SALES guys that sit out front like vultures are terrible though. You can not even get out of your vehicle with out one of them approaching you. Gates needs to reel those guys in and not allow them to stalk you when you arrive. The other day when i stopped in for service, there were 6 of them out front in the main drive in the rain. I had to honk at them when I left to get them to move out of the way so I did not hit them.

1st time I arrived for an express oil change, I was informed that it would be a 2 hour wait I could not wait. So I made an appt but the soonest appt was 2 weeks out. So I got up really early and was in line by 7am to get this work done. Each trip was 50 miles round trip. Not the happiest.
Johnny in the service department was so helpful and the service was completed in a timely manner! We will definitely be using Gates for our services again!

Bought a car from Gates and a short time after purchasing it had some trouble. No fault of theirs, but luckily, they were willing to regroup and make things right allowing me to return the car and pick out something else they had on the lot. Do not take your car here unless you want them to break something and then proceed to tell you that there was no way that they broke it and basically tell you that they will not be fixing it.... The service manager I spoke to completely rude and had no intention of hearing what I had to say, just a oh theres no way we did that sorry thanks alot
All in all was very good besides having to wait 2 days in a row for my vehicle and a issue that did not get fixed as of this time that was talked about and written down

Bill Alter is the type of salesman where you are part of the family. No hassle and get you what you want kind of guy. I have driven several months looking at the Equinox and had a specific list of things I wanted. When the one I wanted came in, Bill called me that day and I was able to acquire the total vehicle with all of my requests in it including the specific color I wanted. Great service, would have been a 5 star, but both times I have been there, my dash cam. Has been unplugged. I dont know why they need to touch it. If the tech that is working on my car doesnt want to be on it, thats fine. Just plz plug it back in. Would hate to get in a wreck and see that my cam has been unplugged... update make that 3 times. Time to go check out Tom Naquin.

I had a side mirror replaced after hit and run accident. Replacement took 15 min, no big deal. However it took close to a month to order and paint the part! I think the main issue was vacations and not having someone else follow up. My biggest concern was I had to call repeatedly to get updates. Every time someone would promise a return call with info - no one ever called back.
I have been using Gates services from past 5year and the lady named - Michelle she is my go to person and takes care of all the services I need for my vehicle anytime I call and respond to it promptly . She is great person to work she is very knowledgeable and gets things figured out and provide best services every time I go . I would highly recommend her and Gates for auto service repair as they are economical and never cheat you .

First time customer of the service department. Oil change and tire rotation routine maintenance on my GMC Sierra.Service writer showed me the recommended maintenance but was not overly insistent. There are 3 separate customer waiting areas, service was prompt and a great value.. I will be returning for all my service needs

Well I posted on the Gates site yesterday that this is the third time there is grease on my floor mat from the mechanic after my oil change. Ive complained twice. They offer me to come back and they will clean it. I dont have time to make trips back so I clean it myself. I thought it was automatic that they put something down on the floor to prevent that from happening? Or maybe its noted that I dont like grease on my floor mats, so they are messing with me. I think 3 times is enough. I will find somewhere else to get my oil changes..

Salesman was sweet, only thing was he said he call when it was ready for pick up but he didnt. Also said paper plate be on and ready to go, wasnt. No gas at all in Trax. Thought wed get free oil changes or something, not. Nobodys called to set up undercoat, all tire pressures different. I wonder if it was even inspected and if so I want a print out.

Eric and Daniel were great help. Eric was honest about the cars we looked and got me a great deal. He also was understanding that I needed to get to work and we got the paperwork started and Daniel had them finished before I picked up my new car the next morning and all I had to do was sign the papers and go. So far Gates Chevy World is the best dealership I have been too.
Saturday morning, We were traveling from Il to South Bend for the Notre Dame football game. About 20 miles from town (and our tailgate spot) we made a quick pit stop. When we got back on I-80 the car wouldn’t accelerate and the check engine light came on. I pulled over and turned off the car. About a minute later I started it up and we were able to get on the road. We made it to South Bend and noticed a lot of noise under the hood. We did a quick search online for a Chevy dealership and headed the way. I called the dealership and John (JJ) answered. I told him our situation and for a brief moment he made it sound like they wouldn’t have time. And then his tone changed - he told me to bring it now, where to park, who to ask for and they would get right on it. We got there, pulled in and JJ was ready to get things moving. He took my name and info and told me “get to your tailgate” (we took Uber). Because of John we were able to enjoy the tailgate, the ND victory and have our car ready to make it home. So a big THANK YOU to John and the service team at Gates Chevy World. Outstanding job!
This was my first experience with the service department here and I was very satisfied. After our regular mechanic had a 1 week wait to try and get my car in, JB in the service department told us to try and bring it in that day and they would try to squeeze me in. There was no way I could go a week without a vehicle so this was a so nice of him to offer that. He did say they might not get to it until the next day, but not only were they able to get to it that day, they called us within 2 hours with the diagnosis. Less than 24 hours later, my car was done and fixed! I will definitely be bringing my car back from now on. Thank you!

Decent priced oil change and the gentleman at the desk was excellent! I wish I had only gotten his name. Just a warning plan to drop your car off is usually a hr or longer wait
Not sure if the salesman was new but we went in just to look at 2 specific used vehicles and we were made to sit through what seemed like an interrogation for nearly an hour before we were able to drive one of the vehicles. The other vehicle was supposed to have been taken there from another lot for us to drive but it wasnt there. The salesman climbed in to the van with us when we went for the test drive which hasnt happened to me since I was a teenager then talked about what a great van and value it was. Our time was completely wasted, we will not be going back.
My AC in my 2018 Silverado stopped working on a Monday evening, and I called Gates Chevy World on Tuesday to set up an appointment. They were able to get me in on Thursday morning, so I dropped it off the night before. Kim from Gates called me Thursday at around 9:15 am to let me know my truck was repaired and ready. I was extremely pleased that they actually had a part in stock, and I didnt have to take the truck in a 2nd time once an ordered part had arrived. That rarely happens! Thank-you for the great service!

I needed my weather strip from my door replaced and they said they would call me within a week after they ordered it. I called them 2 weeks later and they said they would call me back within 20 minutes and I got no call. I called again after 3 weeks and spent 40 minutes on the phone talking to different people and finally got it fixed a month later. I have been a Gates customer for years and I have never had this bad and un professional service.
What outstanding service. My wife and were travelling from the west coast to albany NY when my 3500 silverado diesel dually broke down. The gates guys took my truck in on the friday before labor day weekend without an appointment. They diagnosed the problem and over nighted the parts and had the truck fixed on Tuesday. They also provided a place to store our 5th wheel camper while they had the truck. They were tremendous. I highly recommend them .

I was passing through town and had a flat on the bypass. Was able to change it to the spare. Unfortunately the spare would only take about half the air needed to be safe. This was mid-day and busy at the local tire shop. I had to he back to work as soon as possible. Feeling like this was going to be a rest of the day issue In pulled into Gates service. I work in the rv industry and know its usually hard to get fast service at a dealer as a walk in. To my surprise the service writer was very welcoming..courteous..fast at getting things going. I was in and out in 30 min or less. Excellent experience.

Excellent service! Very quick to get you in. 2nd time Ive had to take my car there and both times Kim has helped me out and found the problem. Fixed that day and called to allow pickup same day! You wont find better service and can trust them with your vehicle. I had no clue what was wrong with the car besides possibility same issue as last time ($800 roughly). Called and said hey found issues, $50 later. They dont feed you nonsense and do a great job. Highly recommend their service department and Kim. She needs a raise.
