I took my car in this week to have them run a diagnostic. The car had a couple dash lights on all having something to do with the speed, brakes, ABS system… after having my car for a couple of hours they called me. They told me unfortunately my issue was a pinched or cut wire and there wasn’t anything they could do without a lot of time and cost to find the wire. So they charged me $100 and change for the diagnosis. I didn’t think that what they said sounded right. So I took it to another shop. They second shop I took it to called me after 30 minutes and told me that after a quick look the ABS module was bad. They said it was a very easy to find and popped up as soon as they connected their computer to the car. So Midas had my car for 4 hours, charged me for their “diagnosis” and sent me on my way. The shop that found the issue as well as the dealer (only place that can calibrate the ABS module) told me there is no way Midas even connected the car to their computer to diagnose it, and if they did they would have seen the issue. So they didnt even attempt to find my issue. Very disappointed in their service (or lack there of). It’s sad that shops like this can get away with things like this. Please think twice before going to Midas. Just check reviews first (I didn’t) I guess there’s a reason they have a 2 star rating.
The guy up front his name is Cody I noticed just how professional he is in handling phone calls, really keeping calm and cool under stressful situations. You have a great asset in this man! If I owned a business I would be trying to steal him from u as my manager. He was absolutely awesome!!!
Charged over 1000 dollars for front brake pads and rotors. Expensive. I told them I didnt have enough for the back pads. They put my lug nuts back on so tight it took all my strength to get them off it was ridiculous.
Great custom work on my vintage vehicle! Needed a special built muffler and pipe and they did great work at a great price and all on time. Very pleased with the hospitality and customer service as well. Everything well communicated and done with a high level of professional work. Thank you Cody! I am so glad I found this place. Grateful to have found my new “go to” for repairs.
Went in to get a simple patch job. Guy up front was cool but their tech never showed up. And I was left sitting there for over an hour for no reason. Was told I could wait, but Went to discount tire instead..

I had an issue with my car’s brakes, and the estimate came out to considerably more than I was expecting or able to afford. Cody was extremely understanding and professional as he worked with me to get the work and price down to something far more manageable. Would highly recommend.
A few months ago we dropped off our vehicle to have them check the back drum brakes on our Rav-4 because of braking issues.Midas didn’t call back..... we ended up calling them 4 days later asking if they diagnosed it yet. The person said that the back drum brakes were fine and didn’t need changed.And they had diagnosed it days ago. Yet we didn’t get a call.Just recently we took it to a different mechanic and they fixed the back brakes and now it brakes on a dime.I do not recommend Midas at all.
They solved my car’s tire pressure problem within three minutes without charging me any money. Impressed.

Cody was very helpful and up front with pending issues. I would have liked to seen parts that needed replaced to confirm needing replaced, I guess it was sticker shock for the final bill. Although my car needed the work done I was never given a total repair amount until it was already completed. All in All I am very satisfied with completed work.

I took my classic car in for an oil change, without an appointment. I appreciated that they took my car in right away and were so careful with it. This place is great! The MECHANICS and CODY know what they’re doing they give the best work for the best prices around in Mishawaka!CAITLYN who I believe to be the assistant manager is VERY rude, VERY unprofessional and doesn’t value her mechanics with any respect or communication from what I seen.Overall Id still go back just because of Cody and the service I received from the techs.
I am almost 8 months pregnant and today during a 2 hour road trip with my elderly father my check engine light came on. We stopped here and a nice gentleman came out and checked the fluids on my car, which I hadnt done because I just had a service on my car last week with one of their competitors where one all of my fluids were supposed to have been checked. Turns out my coolant was very low. I went inside to pay for coolant and they filled up my coolant free of charge! I am out of work right now due to health issues with the baby but I plan to return and do my business here once I can afford the engine diagnostic! They never made me feel any certain type of way for being a female and not knowing the basics of what to check and I was able to get my father where he needed to be! I cannot recommend them highly enough! Thanks for all your help!

They were fantasticI live in NY and was visiting Notre Dame when my SUV suddenly made a loud noise from the front right side.It was 5:30 pm on Saturday when I arrived at Midas Mishawaka and the shop would normally close at 6:00 pm.I explained that I was planning to return to NY the next day.The shop immediately pulled the car in and found a defective wheel bearing.This shop went out of their way even going as far as Caitie, the assistant manager, expediting getting the part. The guys at the shop personally drove to pick up the part needed for the repair.The shop remained open late and fixed the problem.I would highly recommend this shop !
The Mighty Midas mechanics did excellent service. They cleaned the engine around the oil tank, and discovered a bad leak. They wasted no time in getting that all fixed up. They were so kind. I came to this store for an oil change, and they suggested I should do a coolant flush, which I did. 2 weeks later when I opened the hood, the coolant tank was almost empty! I thought there must be a leak somewhere but I couldn’t find it, so i just bought a bottle of coolant and filled the tank to Max level. Guess what? The tank has been on Max level since. So there has never been a leak, and the only explanation is that the mechanic didn’t fill enough coolant or didn’t flush the bubbles out of the pipe. Worst experience ever! I will never come back to this place again.

They set an appointment and confirmed it with me. I agreed. Went and was half an hour early. Then they tell me that they wouldnt be able to get to it that day because they were packed Even though they set my appointment. The said they could of gotten the next day they were open. Which was 3 days away.
Beware!********* Was quoted nearly $1200 for brakes and rotors. Luckily, I was hesitant and took it somewhere else where I was shown that NONE of my brakes or rotors needed replaced!!
I asked how much for oil change?Guy told me $54 plus tax.I asked him is it including labor?He said yes.After oil change was done total came up $86I asked him i thought it was $54He asked me if I have coupon. If this was the case why didnt he told me at the first place.I think they have done this to many people as well.If I knew my total was going to be an 86 I would have just done at the toyota where I bought the car from.Never again.

Checked the website and had good reviews plus a nice oil change special that we wanted to take advantage of. My husband went in and was told that that special ended on Memorial Day and that he couldn’t checked everything that needed to be check as he didn’t have an A1 tech working on a Saturday which is probably one of the busiest days of the week . Plus we were the first ones in at 730am. I double checked the website and the coupon is good until July 4th 🤷♀️ Well they lost our business! Just wish I knew how to post the pic of the coupon on here
Went in to get my rear brakes redone. I asked them if it were possible to get the general inspection as well, just to get the health sheet most mechanics provide. Less than an hour later, they send me the estimate: $3500 dollars in repairs for a 7 year old vehicle with less than 100,000 miles on it. This quote includes the front brakes I replaced less than a year ago (only 2 mm down from when we bought them), new struts, new suspension, and 4 different flushes of fluid. How many 20-somethings or single mothers have you ripped off for this BS because you thought you could. Its great that your staff was friendly, but maybe you shouldnt let them price gouge their no-longer customers. Ive told everyone I know to never come here.

Called yesterday around 9am to schedule appointment for oil change today. Been there before so they know my vehicle and confirmed it. Here now and its been over than an hour. Theyve been waiting for an oil filter to be delivered. Its a 2019 Mazda. No reason the filter wasnt ordered yesterday when the appointment was made if they didnt have one. Then, at the end, some idiot that didnt know how to reset my service mileage completely screwed my dash icons.
They over charged me for brakes that failed a week into driving. I called and they told me that it was shielding and it wasnt serious. So I didnt think anything about it. It turns out they wouldnt replace all the bad parts and they fixed it wrong to begin with. Not to mention the $580 labor fee they were going to charge me!
Cant say enough good things about the people working at this Midas location. They were able to squeeze me in on short notice and helped me greatly while travelling in town on vacation. Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable and trust-worthy mechanics would have me coming back the next time I am in town and needing help.

Very professional shop. I was a walk in and they fit me right in. In my line of business time is of the essence. That manager, Pete i believe, was very friendly and professional. Took my vehicle in, had his techs diagnose the problem, relayed the info to me and bam i was up and running in no time. Because of his caring attitude and his mechanics professionalism I will definitely come back for my future needs. Its nice to know its a one-stop shop.

I took a few days to really consider this review. I took my in laws vehicle here for an oil change before going out of town later that day for an appointment. I called the day before to schedule an appointment. It was for 7:30 am. I got there on time and had everything ready at 7:35 to start the oil change. I was the first appt so I expected to be done very quickly. Unfortunately, they didnt even take the vehicle into the garage for a half hour. Again, I was the first appointment. No excuse for this delay. Also, no water, vending machine, coffee pot was empty. This was the worst oil change location I have ever been to. I will NEVER return and will actively dissuade others from going to this location.
If you don’t know about cars, don’t go there, they rip you off, they will try to talk you into replacing everything that is actually still good, and leave the real problem to the last to assess after he finishing replacing the irrelevant part.I went in because my car makes a sharp screeching sound when I coast and when drive low speed. The very first thing they did was opening up the hood and said it was the belt. actually there wasn’t any sound coming under the hood, I asked “if you changed the belt and the noise still there, how do we do about that?” they insisted “it usually was the belt”, they didn’t check my brakes, didn’t check my tires at that time. After changing the pulley and belt within an hour, he lift my car up because I asked him to do a courtesy check. He bear handed wiggled the rear tire, and the sharp screeching sound was still there! Then I said: you will charge me $400 in a minute because you just replaced my belt and pulley, which was supposed to fix the noise, and now the noise is still there? He argued:” your pulley was not good, it has gone bad”, Belt wasn’t looking bad at all, that was what I could see. Since I don’t know about cars, I didn’t know what a working pulley should truly look like. He continued, “I also would recommend to change the brake pads and all rotors before the fall (isn’t the fall just a month away from now?), and I would change all the tires too, I wouldn’t change just one or two, not good for your car. “FOR REAL? Why didn’t you check my brakes in the first place? Why did you think it was the belt when there was no noise coming from there? I trusted you because you were supposed to be the professional, guess I was wrong. What a shame!I left without letting them doing anything more to my car. I take the-little-over-400 dollars as a fee to a lesson. I won’t spend a cent more over that place any more.

This place is terrible ! The “ master mechanic “ is very cocky and rude! The other mechanics and disrespectful and very unfriendly! I do not recommend this place! I went to have a new muffler and exhaust tips put on my truck and cut out the resonators and they were very cocky about it and said they won’t do it! Says he didn’t want to lose his job for putting on a new muffler and stuff because it’s illegal but yet the sign says they do mufflers! It is not illegal to remove the resonator! These people have no clue what they are doing! Very over priced as well! $150 an hour is what they charge! I took it somewhere else and had it done with no problem for $120! This place doesn’t deserve one star but it’s says I have to put one!
Explain everything to you so you understand whats going on with your vehicle. They also show you what is wrong so you know theyre not lying to get you to pay more. Very nice staff. Definitely recommend my friends to come here for their car needs/maintenance.
I had one of the worst experiences Ive ever had with an auto repair at this location.My girlfriend took her vehicle here for an oil change and the intent of receiving the courtesy inspection and recommendations for repairs. Right off the bat, the manager was unprofessional (ordering concert tickets online) and inattentive. She pressured my girlfriend into feeling like she needed to finance to make expensive repairs on her vehicle. My girlfriend declined, but later overheard the same manager on a conference call express that a little white lie is worth it to get someone to finance.I have financed with Midas personally before. To hear about this phone conversation seriously makes me doubt the ability of Midas to meet its customers needs with honesty and integrity.The same manager declined to take our coupon which Midas website said was valid until 7/2/2019 - the repair was done on 6/4/2019. The manager claimed the system did not have the button for the coupon - which would have been a total savings of $10.00. The manager did not even note the vehicles specifications in her system, did not take my girlfriends phone number or address, and clearly paid no attention to the process which was in place for Midas counter staff. In addition to this, my girlfriend had to delay her closing the service because a spring in the latch for her vehicles hood broke. The manager had to keep the car overnight and expressed that she would leave detailed notes for the staff on the following day. The next day when we contacted the staff, the manager on that day said she had no idea about the situation with the vehicle and that the manager from the previous day didnt even order the right part for the vehicle. As it turns out, the mechanic was able to fix the spring and mechanism with a part from another piece of hardware. The car was done within an hour and no charge was made to us.The only reason this rating is 2 stars is because the staff other than the manager we had issues with was very nice and helpful. I think its unfortunate that one individual would tarnish the reputation of an entire company, but my girlfriend and I will never be back to a Midas location again because of this one occasion. If these is the type of people Midas hires to manage their locations, thats all I need to know. The experience was frustrating and outrageous for a $29.99 oil change. The manager was inconsiderate, treated my girlfriend with disrespect, tried to take advantage of the both of us, and was extremely bad at relating the information to her staff and to us. She was on her cell phone the entire time and took a quick trip to Walmart while we were waiting for her, leaving only one mechanic at the store. Extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and a huge turn off to the organization. We did file this complaint in its entirety with Midas Customer service.

I had an appointment for an oil change earlier today. There were quite a few people already in the waiting room, and the phone was ringing off the hook. Brittany politely checked me in after a few minutes and explained that there was quite a wait. I’m a very patient person, so I totally understood. All in all, the wait was probably a too long, but it happens. Brittany kindly apologized, and made it right. What was also nice, was that both mechanics working apologized also as they handed me my keys and new oil sticker, with a smile on their faces. I appreciate hard work and honesty, it makes me become a loyal customer places. Thanks again.
The customer service is AWESOME a lady named Whitney provided excellent service to me.. I received a diagnostics from another auto repair shop that was completely wrong and they figured out my issue with no extra charge and Whitney was great with keeping me informed with that was going on. Definitely will be a returning customer.

This place over charges like crazy. I will never use them again. They say you need to fix things that don’t need to really be fixed. According to one of their ex-managers, they tell you what needs to be fixed times 3 assuming you will only fix about a third of what needs to be fixed. This is how they make their profit. Classic example, my truck needed some suspension and front end work, they estimated 4500$ in repairs and said it was unsafe to drive unless I got 1500$ worth of the crucial stuff fixed. I took it to a shop out of town to get an opinion and they said it could all be fixed for under 1000$ and non of it made the vehicle unsafe to drive. This mechanic used to work for Midas and told me about the 3 times estimate policy. Additionally, because of the convience of the facility, I was going to get a new battery for my vehicle. I caught them trying to overcharge me by 110% for a battery for my car because they took me for an aloof young person. Don’t go to Midas unless you want to haggle the price. They do decent, but they majorly overcharge.

He went the extra mile with his customer service, even mentioning my tire was low when he inspected my vehicle prior to service. I will plan on using Midas in the future, simply because of Chriss excellent service!
My car was in need of repairs and they reassured me they would help me get back on the road. I applied for the midas credit card and not only did they get me back on the road but with no money down and 0% interest for 6 month. Thank you !!!

I had a leak in my tire so I took my car in to Midas, the person who helped me was super friendly and they got to my car ASAP. Turns out I had a nail in my tire, they patched it up and fixed the tire stem for free! Excellent customer service at this location, I will most certainly be coming back for any service I need done on my car in the future.

Awesome people at this location! We were driving through from Wisconsin to Ohio for Thanksgiving when our tire got a slow leak. They fit us in while we ate next door at Applebees and kept the road trip on track!
They are not honest. They are more about selling a repair than they ate about returning customers. If they were honest & offered quity repair service then sales would happen from customers trusting them with their vehicle repairs & would always get repairs done for any vehicle they own. Being dishonest chases customers away and those customers tell all their friends & neighbors to stay away! I worked for them & was let go because I refused to be dishonest to make a sale. I would have built a trusted local auto repair service in my neighborhood. I live in the neighborhood and will not lie to my neighbors for any job! It is too bad, for them, because I would have made them the best place for auto repair in Elkhart, if they would have let me but the sales practices they use go against everything I believe in.
