We purchased a 15 X 30 Odesy Pool from The Great Escape the winter of 2020 and had it installed in the spring of 2021. We were very pleased with our sales person who explained everything we needed to know and more. He was very friendly and helpful. The pool is well made and an excellent product. We had the pool installed partly in the ground so it came out at our deck level. We love our new pool! I would recommend everyone purchase their pool from The Great Escape. You wont be disappointed.

Terrible experience there today. Seriously lacking in customer service. Was given a quote on display pieces and the guy wanted to charge us for pieces we wouldnt even be getting. Upon confronting it, the gentleman helping us, Jerry openly admitted to raising the price over original asking price. He was extremely rude and extremely arrogant. Says he didnt really wanna sell it anyway since theyre getting more in later. If we dont buy it, someone else will he says. HA! By the way Jerry for future reference, next time tell your potential buyers youre getting more in BEFORE you try to bend them over on your display. Thats what a good salesman who likes to make money and keep customers would do. Consumers beware, this is a pretty shady company to do business with.

This is my second hot tub purchase, and I did not buy from The Great Escape the last time. I will say this, I will buy from The Great Escape the next time! Dennis Mitchell (Mitch) at the South Bend location had product knowledge, was friendly and quick to respond, and communicated thoroughly throughout the process. The lead time for the tub was very long, but that was everywhere due to Covid. The service level and responsiveness was among the best I have received. Kudos to the entire team at the Great Escape, and thanks to Mitch for taking such great care of me. The delivery crew was courteous and professional, and took extra care to not mess up my lawn for the delivery. Bravo to the Great Escape!

We went in the store just to get an idea on outdoor furniture as well as possibly a hot tub. We were instantly greeted by a sales associate named Jerry. Jerry worked hard to answer our questions and we left to take some measurements and sleep on it. Ultimately Jerry worked some magic and we got it done. Now if the manufacturer gets it done quicker than anticipated it will be perfect!! Thanks Great Escape with a special shout out to Jerry!!

Okay prices and customer service could be improved. Knowledge of pools in the pool section would be helpful. Fyi no chlorine or non chlorine shock for well water! Super floc, 5-in-1 clarifier, and medi green works much better! Lots of filtering and vacuuming are necessary!

Great place for pool supplies. Had everything in stock which was a problem for me with other pool stores in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Bought a pool in March. Finally got it installed in July. As you can see, stairs not installed, and this is what they consider a finished product looks like.The great escape highly lacks communication with the installer and customer.

Bought a bar set that I love. Quality stuff. The bar stools didnt last but I came back for better ones. I was kind of cheap on them. This time I got the insurance to cover them new ones if they break.Update: new bar stools seem nice. Glad I have the insurance to cover these. I have a feeling the swivel mechanism will wear out soon. Otherwise very nice purchase. Supprized that they came nearly assembled. Only problem was is that I was told the boxes would fit in a standard car when I came to get them. If I opened them for transport I was threatened that the insurance policies would be voided... Now two star rating for bad customer service...

We bought our pool thru the great escape. The installation was contracted out to Tri-State pools. The staff in the store are helpful and try their best to make things right when their installers are unprofessional. The pool was not delivered on time. Our heater was not delivered, so we had to pick it up from the store. When they loaded it on the truck they left scratch marks in the bed of the truck. The ladder did not come with the needed hardware to assemble. Our pool pump broke 1 weeks after install, which they did replace for free under warranty. We have a leak in our liner. The store ordered a new one for us, but Tri-State did not want to replace the liner, only patch it. We never scheduled for them to come and patch. They came into our back yard when we werent home thru our privacy fence and went into the pool. When we got home and realized someone was in our yard and pool we called Tri-state to ask if it was them, the owner George, confirmed it was, and when we started to ask questions he yelled “F*** You” and hung up on us. The day of the installation was even worse. They left behind all their cigarette buts, pop bottles and other trash. Charged us a travel feel to install our pool and overcharged on set prices. I wont even go into the condition they left our yard in. Don’t buy your pool from them. It’s been nothing but stress.

Bought a complete pool setup last spring. We were promised installation late summer. Never happened. Never heard from anyone. All the boxes were left in our driveway for several months. We were told they would be out that week to move everything out of the driveway. Never happened. 6 months later, boxes are collapsed in a heap on our patio, where we had to move them ourselves.

Well we purchased our first hot tub with them 18 years ago. We replaced it in Feb 2019 and it had a lot of problems, enough that the hot tub company had to replace it. Great Escape was good about it all. They filed the paperwork to the maker of the hot tub promptly. They brought our new hot tub. We are happy with staff and service.

The Great MistakeHave purchased many items from this store in the past. My recent basketball hoop/install will be the last. The only reason most pay a visit to the Great Mistake and pay their slightly inflated pricing is to utilize their delivery/install services. They take no action to control the quality assurance of the install companies. Not much more reason to spend your money there. To sum up my experience:After a month wait for the hoop (time not much an issue). We were contacted to be home for the hoop install on a Saturday between 2 & 6. Saturday goes by...no call, no show, no return phone calls. Sunday (happened to Mothers Day :(, was promised for the install between 2 & 6. No show, no call,. Called into the store salesman with no return phone call as promised.This is the only location i have purchased from but I cant imagine this would be the experience at all locations. I know they like to push blame on the contracted install services but it is 100% their responsibility to assure a smooth process. By the looks of the reviews i am not the only one to have this issue...i predict the store will not be at this location in the long term because of the inability to manage their services.

We purchased Bull Frog hot tub in Nov 2018...not delivered until March 2019. It arrived with outside shell damage..took 3 months for replacement parts. Recently had severe storm in September, ins claim for damage to tub, received $$ in November...ordered parts and new cover...as of this date only have new cover. Their service tech, Dennis, is FANTASTIC...he has been to my home delivering, changing and estimating, repairing on the hut tub, at least 5 times since March of 2018.

Their help with the water testing of our new spa, and the advice given on how to maintain it was invaluable. I walked out spending a lot less money than I expected to and I walked out with only 3 products! No pressure or oversell on this visit.

I purchased a new tub from Great Escape - got a great end of year deal - Ive had a hot tub for the last 15 years. The installer didnt have all the parts to install the cover lift. Dennis called me back yesterday and advised hed be out this morning, he arrive on time and installed the lift. Then spent time to answer any question I had. Im not sure about the other reviews and their situations or issues - my sales guy was great, installers were great and have experienced the Dennis the service guy another great experience.

Went looking for a hot tub and a gazebo, they had some very nice ones, that were very expensive. They also had a couple that were under $3,000 dollars and they were just as nice as the most expensive ones that were over $10,000. The staff was helpful and very knowledgeable when we asked questions!

Wife went in today because Leslies pool service refused to test water due to it raining at their store location because apparently that means we cant get started on our new pool even though its not raining at our location and our pool was covered anyways. Anyways my wife spoke with an older gentleman and unfortunately we didnt get his name but she had a wonderful experience. They got us started with all the chemicals and starter test kits we would need and got some pricing on some other stuff we were looking at. I would come here over any other place to get started with your pool and get setup the proper way. They know their stuff and are willing to take the time to explain everything to you like a proper business, and not ones looking to make a quick sale.

This store is more than happy to sell you gym equipment and take your money but when warranty work needs to be done promises are made but nothing ever happens!!!!! Also DONT buy AFG equipment, which is supposedly superior equipment that is used at upscale gyms. I was much happier with my Pro-Form treadmill from Sears!!!!!!

We bought a large outdoor quality hannamint table, chairs and umbrella from great escape two years ago. This spring, while moving it, two of the legs snapped off. Great escape handled the issue promptly, submitting a warranty claim to hannamint, which the company approved within a week. The company provides a 10 year warranty on their products. We received our replacement table last week. Both great escape management and hannamint responded promptly and handled the problem competently and quickly. Would highly recommend the manufacturer and the great escape.

Great selection of furniture (kinda pricey) but if youre wanting to try out some new patio furniture/pool or shuffleboard tables/hot tubs and need a great selection, this is the place to go. They even have stand-up & table-top arcade games!

Im not thrilled about the service here. We just spent 15k on a pool, installation and equipment and its like pulling teeth for help when we go instore. I dont have peace of mind. Im not confident in understanding my equipment (even after YouTube everything) . The last instore visit we werent even greeted.

Prices are a bit high but the quality is unquestionably great.

We bought the Lions Den wooden swingset, with installation. The crew that brought the set to us, and set it up were amazing! We do not have the biggest area to place the set, but, the crew worked with us to get the best placement. Very professional (all 4 of the crew). Towards the end, I could hardly keep all 4 of my children off of it, but, the crew just laughed with them and let them play. I am very impressed with the quality of work, and the knowledge that the crew had about this particular play set. I cannot stress enough just how much our family appreciated this crew! When the Great Escape says they have professional contractors, they are not feeding us a line, they must really scout out the best in our area to use.

It would be nice if the pool we purchased in March was installed, But as of today t has not been. I am beginning to think they are a rip off. I am ready to start calling the paper and the local TV stations. Purchased in March 2014, Called once to install missed the call, We called they stated we had been calling...Problem was they were not calling us either on Cell of Home Old Fashioned Phone. One More day of this and the Pool and accessories in my driveway for way to many weeks might be in their packing lot....Because there is no point in missing almost all of June without the new pool....What a joke and what a poorly ran company.....They probable placed us last because ours came with free install, and the later sales had installation as an extra.....

I bought a hot tub several years ago and from the get go, we had problems with it. After many phone calls to the manager, repairman and the corporate office of Sundance (the maker of our hot tub) did the problem become resolved. NOW, one of our pumps is no longer worker. I called twice and no one called me back to schedule an appointment with the repairman, so I went personally to the store to make the appointment in person. I saw the repairman write me in his book and then when the day came he did not show up. I called the store and they said they could not get in touch with him. I called the next day...they tried again, still no answer, no explaination! Today I went to the store personally...I guess the repairman is on vacation?! And on the day he scheduled my appointment he was also on Vacation. Unprofessional customer service, poor communication. I have now reached out to a different hot tub service for my repair.

We bought a pool 3 years ago and was talked into a higher priced pool because panel s and labor would be life time. A panel was damaged over winter...was told it would take 2 to 3 weeks from start to finish. Started the process may 21st and just received the panel but was told we had to get a contractor or repair ourselves. Dave the warranty manager was very rude and very unprofessional. Never will do business with them again.

My 3rd purchase in 5 years was a disappointment as the delivery guys did not call me 30 minutes out as promised to let me know they were close. I was in an elevator when they did call but they left no message. I called them back twice but no one answered. I left voice mail but no reply. Got home to find why no reply. The bone-heads dropped my 500 lb canopy and left. It was placed in a stupid spot and now I cant move it.Too bad. I spent $5,000 so far and was going to buy a Sundance spa from them. They can thank their bone-head delivery crew for sending me elsewhere to buy a spa.

Terrible experience!! I will never recommend nor buy from Great Escape again! Buying the pool was easy but getting the contracting services (A & D Services) to actually come out and install the pool was awful. They cancelled on us 3 times, one which was weather related, which we understand... Then when they did come, the A & D crew went to the wrong work site first so they didnt come to install our pool until 4 pm. My husband wouldnt have even had to take the day off work but they didnt even bother to communicate with us the time.. When my husband would try to call, they ignored his phone calls. They were there until after 8pm (I have kids)! A & D then told us to make sure the pool was filled so they could come back within 1 or 2 days to finish installing the pump... We filled up the next day and called. Scheduled it for 2 days after (a Saturday), which was fine but then called and rescheduled for Monday - That Monday they didnt bother to show up and again ignored my husbands phone calls. We called Great Escape, thinking they could help us! I was very WRONG! I was told by the man we bought the pool from that he would try to get a hold of A & D services and call back before Great Escape closed, either way.... Even checked to make sure of the correct phone number.. NEVER bothered to call back.... A & D services called back the next day (now Tuesday) and said they couldnt come until the next week, Monday to install the pump! Told us to just put some bleach in it everyday to take care of the algae.. We have called great escape again to complain and still nothing has been done to take care of anything... My husband installed it himself.... ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL, NO COMMUNICATION AND TERBBILE SERVICE FROM BOTH GREAT ESCAPE AND A & D SERVICES.....

My wife and I went into the store on Grape rd in Mishawaka. We are seriously in the market for a nice Hot tub. We were pleased that they were open till 8:00PM as all of the others in town closed at 7 or even 6. What we werent happy with is the fact we spent 25 minutes getting in and out of tubs, researching and checking prices with not one associate even attempting to help us. On our way out there were 3 men behind the counter. One on the phone, one kicking back and the other eating. Once again not any of them looked up to acknowledge us. Guess where we will not be buying our hot tub?

My family has always wanted a hot tub. I would have never dreamed that our someday would have come to fruition so soon. A good friend suggested we go to The Great Escape in Mishawaka, and I am so grateful we did. The entire experience was awesome! There was never any pressure to buy, because that always turns me away, and we truly appreciate that. Any problems we came across were solved with flexibility and straight forwardness. Afterwards, we had a lot of questions concerning the chemicals; i.e. what kind, how much, and how often. The Great Escape associates gave us the confidence and guidance to succeed. Whenever we stop by the store, and we frequently do, we feel like the most important people there. More exactly, we feel like family. There have been only two days, since we purchased, that we missed getting into the spa since February 15th! We have never felt better physically or mentally. A great big shot out to Alex and his team at A & D Service for a superior installation. Also, Dan our electrician, for his professionalism and efficiency. In closing, the loudest and biggest shout out goes to Jerry at The Great Escape in Mishawaka, for being very knowledgeable and thank his experienced staff who helped our dreams come true!!!

The great escape is far from a good pool company. I have had nothing but problems since last august when it was installed. The people they contract out to do their work are rude and do not do the job properly. The floor of my pool is lumpy and bumpy. They cracked 2 fittings that i had to replace and still have not fixed the outlet part of the pool so I can plug it for the winter. When you call the great escape all they do is argue and deny anything. I would not recomend using them if you are thinking about getting a pool.
